Timecop 1994 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor

Fundamental elements: there are words on screen, background music, slow-motion effects, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences: well briefly there are weapons being used and combat elements

Character developments/Performances: on both counts they are poor.

This film receives: 2/10, this is indeed a tiny review but I don't have too much to say about it really, but taking everything into consideration this mark feels right

Supergirl 1984 by AverageMansReviews

Supergirl 1984 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor

Fundamental elements: there is background music, quick moving effects, time jumps and place jumps. Now the movement of this project is just really, really hard work of what I can remember whilst watching this film I think it gets better in roughly the final quarter, but then again it couldn't get much worse.

Storyline: well I am going to put this very simply, it is garbage, briefly it is just so weak, I mean I even watched the ending credits just to see if there was or is anything after them [there isn't] and did we really have to go through this painful storyline element where for some reason [I know the reason] but I am not saying where this male character falls in love, I wouldn't have minded this romantic element if they went with something much better than what they went with

Action sequences: I mean even this element of this title doesn't make things easy for me to talk about, now before I continue I really want to make this crystal clear if this wasn't in this title I wouldn't be discussing it, so with that being said now roughly our lead character asks two men for some information and it is clear what they want [and I will just leave it there.]

Here are just some examples of other scenes or sequences, in one situation, this male character gets stuck in this digger type of machinery [where the digger elements get used as a mouth and this male character is inside,] I think they call it a bulldozer in this film I could be wrong, but it looks more like a digger and this shadow monster type thing [which I think appearances twice as some point in this title.]

Science-fiction elements: these elements are good.

Performances: they are mostly poor besides Peter O'Toole as Zaltar, every scene or sequence he is a part of feels different as if there is some kind of motivation and direction behind this project as long as he is on screen, he just makes things happens around him and the quality of the dialogue exchanges noticeably improves.

This film receives: 1/10, I don't know what to say about this film, in a nutshell yes this title does have some good elements here and there, but however the negative elements to this title are colossal, so in reality what they are doing is counterbalancing any either workable or positive elements to this project [hence why this mark] and on a very quick side note I think but I could be wrong there is a bunny rabbit somewhere in this project, I like him or her.]

Judge Dredd 1995 by AverageMansReviews

Judge Dredd 1995 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is mixed

Fundamental elements: there are words on screen, a voice-over element, cultural elements, background music, place jumps and time jumps.

Artistic visions: the science-fiction elements including landscapes and many other things are looking a little bit old, but they still give this title value and without being too harsh they are good for what they are and on a quick side note the comic books elements somewhere around the beginning of this title is a good touch as well.

Comedy level: simply put; most of these elements have got to go for me, now in the interest of fairness and balance there are some elements that could and can stay in this project, here are just two examples briefly; our lead character blows up this car [futuristic car I think] and the second example is where our lead role is giving this speech, demonstration, lesson on these weapons and so on and he just points out something to the effect of this; "If you can get it to work."

Action sequences: they are all good, there are plenty of weapons being used and those kinds of things including a chasing sequence.

Performances: in a nutshell [because I have tried to re-dictate this paragraph a certain amount of times by now,] I think this would be the most easiest way for me to put this without getting lost in what I am saying or confused or something like this; it just depends where you are in this title really some moments or scenes or sequences can be okay to somewhere around good to good, but then you could have something which is the opposite to what I have just said

This film receives: 5/10, now it doesn't matter how many times throughout the years I watch this project I still come up with the same mark, this is one of those films that has or had potential to be a good film, but somehow it didn't quite work out that way.

Barb Wire 1996 by AverageMansReviews

Barb Wire 1996 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor.

Fundamental elements: there are words and a number on screen, background music, mental imagery, voice-over elements, cultural elements, quick moving effects, slow-motion effects, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences: generally speaking there are weapons being used, combat elements and other things, these action sequences give this title value in one way or another. This is one of those occasions where I have already established that this film is poor, but without being too harsh unless I can find a concrete reason or reasons to be highly critical then I will say something like this; in this title you will find some value somewhere, okay in some cases it may be cheesy amongst other things but value is value nonetheless, so without giving too much away you will see our lead role taking care of business at different points in this title.

Comedy level: there is a certain comedy level in this title it ranges between mature themes to adult; I am thinking of just something I could use as an example or examples so I have chosen this; watch out for the dog that goes by the name of Camille [with and without instructions, this will make better sense when it comes to watching this title.]

Character developments/Performances: these two elements would be the most difficult of elements to sift through, because on one hand we have the character developments which yes I know this character is based off a comic book of the same name and that is as much as I know, but a little bit of me is saying well this was made in the 90's and on every single level the 1990's has a presence in this film, so based on what I have just said the performances are just before mixed or mixed somewhere around here. On a side note on my very brief research mostly other film critics did not like this film either, I was just looking at what they said then, but then again on reflection I don't know when their reviews were done back then or more recently.

This film receives: 3/10, well I chose this number straight after I finished watching this project so I am going to stick to it, I think after taking everything into consideration the saving grace of this title is the fact it is from the 1990's and yes I'm aware that mostly other film critics didn't like this film either and I haven't given it a high mark, but in fairness and balance the more I think about it and I cannot say this enough to adapt a well-known/legendary song title; this film smells like 1990's spirit.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled 2015 by AverageMansReviews

Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled 2015 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is good, I should just point out that this project is only roughly 22 minutes long [so based on that this review is going to be short.]

Comedy level: the comedy level is well-placed throughout, just to give you one very tiny example, it is where some characters are having this conversation and because the Internet connection isn't the best, the audience sees these time delay or you know the kind of things that tells you, it could be you or the other person's connection that is poor

Action sequences: there are many scenes or sequences of action in this title, if I had to bring up just one small element, it would have to be where Thor is standing on the ground assisting Steve Rogers/Captain America to go around in midair on his motorbike to take down these characters [or something to this effect.]

Artistic visions: because this project is from Lego [well as it relates to their big-screen or little screen projects,] this title is easy to settle down with and it has imagination to it as well.

This film receives: 7/10, now as I have already said this project is good.

Aquaman 2018 by AverageMansReviews

Aquaman 2018  by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is highly entertaining

Fundamental elements: there are words and a number on screen, with voice-over elements, background music, cultural elements, slow-motion effects, environmental elements, yes and no to subtitles being used when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

Storyline/Comedy level: in a nutshell it is well-balanced between origin/growing up lead character, history elements, origin elements of other characters [which could be as small as a name, but still great value nonetheless] and present elements and there is one more thing I should just point out and I think I can get away with saying this because it wouldn't be too much information anyway, the audience don't get the step-by-step origin storyline of our lead character instead they have gone with something different in this title and that is as much as I can say, so if you were thinking that you were going to see a step-by-step storyline formula I can tell you; you don't get this formula.

Moving on to the comedy level this itself has also been given the same detail and respect, basically the viewers don't get the sense of something like this; "Now it's time to be funny" or any force comedy elements, but instead they have gone with natural or little bits of comedy which for the moment feels right.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: for the next two elements it would be much easier to talk about them at the same time, because these two elements have a glorious yet strong presence in this title, I don't mean to repeat myself; but once again on these two elements, they have really pulled out all the stops and given them a high level of care and attention, they are all entertaining with plenty of imagination, just in case I haven't made this clear enough already they will hit you in the face with amazing action and faultless visions of beauty throughout.

Character developments/Performances: now as it relates to our lead role some of his character developments come from the origin/growing up [I was just thinking I would point this out before someone else pointed that out for me,] but there is still elements of character developments of this character in this project and I don't have any problems with the rest of the character developments. The performers of this cast should be very happy with what they have done in this title, their dialogue or dialogue exchanges are of very high standard and there is excellent chemistry in this cast.

This film receives: 10/10, now I have forgotten elements of this title but as you can see I still remembered quite a lot to put this review together, it is nothing to do with I found this film boring, that is far from the truth this film does have so much to offer that you can be forgiven for not taking it all in, I want to make this crystal clear yes I may have forgotten some of this film but I knew I wanted to give this mark.
Now I want to talk about one problem and it will become clear why I haven't mentioned it until now in short it has nothing to do with this title, it has more to do with the bigger picture of things which if it is not addressed properly it will become a massive problem at some point down the line.

Let's get down to business we have Wonder Woman and now Aquaman that now have been given the same level of treatment as in time to grow and develop amongst other things, basically these two characters individually are ready for their individual sequels.

Here's the problem as it stands or potentially in the future if they don't give the same kind of level of attention to any other Justice League member when or if there is to be a sequel or any other crossover the chemistry and the dynamic of this group or any group could come across as potentially really disjointed, so you have two characters in Wonder Woman and Aquaman which will have better chemistry because of their individual character developments and you have the rest that may could come across as undeveloped or half developed compared to the previous two I have just mentioned, the more I think about it the more I would strongly dislike to be in a situation where, hypothetically I know straight off the bat it is almost mandatory for my characters to have this level of in-depth character development based on two reasons; the first being the viewing audiences will pick up on any half way character developments and the second being as I have already said if there was to be a crossover of some description the gap between the character developments would be noticeable and hard work to watch.

I am most probably going to receive some negative feedback for this, but I can't help it if it is true. There are many reasons why I prefer the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe,] as it relates to this topic briefly and generally speaking the character developments between; the first title to second title to third [let's include the crossovers or anything else I might have forgotten as well,] there never quite the same film title to title which is a good thing it shows the character or characters in question are getting older amongst other things and I'm just guessing here but an educated guess as well, from a writing perspective it must be rewarding to develop these characters over time, to basically chisel a little by little at these characters and here is the crucial thing to move them forward and forward again and again until that version of a character has politely finished their time in this Universe.

You see by doing it this way it avoids the potential problems I have been discussing as it relates to the character developments of the Worlds of DC or once again being polite whatever they like to call themselves, but I know it runs the risk of irritating some people out there, but then again this is based on fact so there isn't much I can do about it; the box office takings between these two different Worlds or Universe doesn't lie one is looking at an average of hundreds of millions, whilst the other is looking at a average of high-ranking hundreds of millions  possibly a Billion dollars, there are two things I want to point out these are just averages and yes I haven't checked this out for some time, without sounding arrogant I don't need to because it has been this way for years, but for fairness and balance I did check out Wonder Woman 2017, because I have a feeling this project did fantastic at the box office and I was right, so I cannot say they cannot have similar success to the MCU but they just have to put in the same level of detail and attention to Wonder Woman 2017 and this title consistently to get a similar financial return as the MCU.

But here is another problem where I have been really positive when the Worlds of DC do something right, they go and potentially go back to their usual standard of filmmaking by bringing out Shazam! 2019 which I may have only seen one trailer or potentially other trailers, but based on what I have seen [and just for the record I would love to be wrong that is the thing I want to see any comic book company doing well as it relates to any of their projects, but Shazam! looks and feels like everything is going to be a paint by numbers process and the comedy level looks to be easily staged or something like this, in fairness we will have to wait and see, but then again this is precisely what I mean where this wonderfully balanced film with many things to offer and then, you go from this to Shazam! which you couldn't get much further away from one another even if you tried [based on its qualities,] I will finish this review by saying this is what irritates me about the Worlds of DC they show us their potential now and again, in one or two titles and then they seem to fall into this massive hole of half-hearted film titles which usually has many problems with it on some level or levels.

Justice League 2017 by AverageMansReviews

Justice League 2017 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is mixed, to be more precise I don't know if this film is going to be given a 3 [a poor film] or a 4 or a 5 out of 10, but what I can tell you is [when this review was dictated, I was under the impression in a nutshell that this film is a complete mess and throughout this review you will see enough examples of what I mean.

Fundamental elements: there are time jumps and place jumps, voice-over elements, with and without subtitles being used, quick moving effects and slow-motion effects, there is background music and on a side note, yes I did begin this title from the beginning again but this time using the subtitles facilities [yes now and again I do use the subtitles facilities with other projects and I don't bring it up, but in this case I will explain why at some point in this review.] Now slightly moving on to the movement of this project, well it is a very mixed bag you see one moment it feels and looks like this film has gotten a grip on it and the next moment everything disintegrates, the difficult thing is; when I originally dictated this paragraph I originally said something to the effect of, that may be towards the later stages this film feels and looks better and this may be true, but they could have done better with it [I am sure that this is not the only time I will say this; but when this review was dictated, I could wake up tomorrow and think a different opinion on mostly any element of this review, whilst the next day I could think a different opinion and when I say different opinion I mean something to the effect of poor to mixed or the other way around something like that, apart from the good elements which I wouldn't change.

Character developments: well I may as well come out and say it, most of these characters either individually or together need a lot of work, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman how can I put this nicely I would prefer to have her back in another individual film title, because it does feel like she is being slightly held back, but in fairness to her she does make subtle yet clear attempts to reach out or get along with other characters that are standing beside her, this performer/character they can go far together, but I know I prefer her performance in her film Wonder Woman 2017 [I should just point out I have began with this character/performer because as it goes she doesn't need much work, all she needs is the basic character developments as in progression as a person, every time she gets used in a film title.]

Barry Allen/The Flash, Arthur Curry/Aquaman,
Victor Stone/Cyborg: now when this review was dictated, I feel a little bit sorry for these characters, based on the grounds of they haven't had much time or a film project behind them of any description and it shows, because throughout this title there are elements where these characters are trying to show themselves as individuals and to combine that with trying to build chemistry with either each other or at this point the other three characters [Justice League members] which have been given more time in other film titles in one way or another, in a nutshell The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg all need major work to get up to the level of Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman [but having said that they should aim for the level of Wonder Woman,] I am trying to be reasonable because it may not be the performances that are the problem, it could be this big fact how were they going to expect some kind of chemistry between these characters when some of these characters haven't been given either individually or in smaller numbers of characters time to develop, there are some chemistry elements in this title which are well placed -ish, meaning I acknowledge they are there and what they are they are okay, these three characters need time to develop.

I am concerned mostly about Barry Allen/The Flash, because the TV version of him is in a completely different league compared to this one [I am talking about The Flash from 2014 - present and yes I am aware that there is one from the 1990's and this performer is a recurring cast member of the 2014 version,] but this version of him in this film just needs work upon work.

Bruce Wayne/Batman, Kal-El or Clark Kent/Superman: both of these characters are what I would like to call functional either individually or together or in a group, meaning they do the job, sometimes these two characters look and feel how they should be, whilst there are some other occasions where they are a mixed bag or something other really.

Other characters: Alfred puts in a good showing and Steppenwolf, well this character didn't impress me much, yes I do know nothing about this character, but in fairness and balance when this happens in any film or project I review, this gives the character in question the opportunity to show to me and tell me I should go and do some research on this character, but he didn't impress me, I think that is enough about the characters in this film, but before I finish this section, I should tell you why I had the subtitles facilities on and this is because the dialogue or dialogue exchanges generally speaking are a bit here and there from the characters from the beginning, so instead of me replaying and replaying I was thinking I would put the subtitles facilities on, briefly I don't like how these character developments have been mashed together as a group, at least when another similar film company does it, they tried to give every character a small moment or moments on screen of some description or if they are trying to bring new characters in, they tried to slot them or blend them in or something else of a positive nature like for one example maybe showing up in other film titles with dialogue or give them their own film title, instead of throwing them in the deep end [yes once again I am aware that they did give Wonder Woman some time on screen where she made an impact before her own film title, but I am making reference to the three characters that I have spoken about already in this review that haven't been given much screen time of anything, those clips or whatever do not count before this project.]

Action sequences: these are okay, I can take them or leave them, I mean there are some good elements, mixed with okay elements or somewhere around this word, I found it difficult to settle with these slow-motion or these quick moving effects, I am not a fan of them. Barry Allen/The Flash's quick moving effects, there are some sequences that are interesting and positive, of what I can remember but then again there are some sequences which do very little for me, they are better done [on reflection they are much better done in the 2014 and ongoing TV program, I cannot remember how these effects were in 1990's version,] but my point is this; I have been watching the 2014 version for some years now [when this review goes out and when it was first dictated,] but I have never, ever had a problem with these special-effects whatsoever and I am not just talking about the quick moving effects now, I am speaking generally I have never, ever had a problem with these special-effects used in this TV program. But back to this film Barry Allen/The Flash's quick moving effects for a good percentage of the time seemed to be too much [some subtlety would have been nice.]

Now there is an action sequence which annoyed me, where we have some members of the Justice League and other characters, trying to calm down this one member and at some points his different names get used, I cannot remember how many names gets used in public and somewhere in the scene or sequence there are two police officers [so I am thinking "Did you really want to give his identity away."]

This film receives: 4/10, now it is very rare I say things to this effect, but this film and review haven't been for most parts fun to watch or fun to dictate this review. Because don't get me wrong there are some elements of this title I liked, but it isn't everlasting, it's like I could have this massive wheel in front of me and on it, it has little segments and in those segments it could say good, okay, workable or needs work [and so on and so forth,] this is how this film is one moment you could be turning that wheel to something like good and then the next minute you would have to turn that wheel to something like workable and then again to needs work and then again to something else, in a nutshell I don't like how unreliable this film is, the only reliable element is Wonder Woman and the more I think about it, the more I think she was held back in this title to try and match or to be on the same level as some of these characters, because based on her 2017 film title her character developments are much better positioned to be in another individual film title already, it almost asked the rhetorical question if she wasn't held back [and this is only my opinion,] but how wide would the gap be between each individual character as it relates to their growth and personal development either individually or in different pairings, I could talk more about some elements involving these characters, but I think that will do for this review, but if I didn't have the choice or maybe some time in the future I lose this review somehow, these would be the only two reasons I would watch this film again, I don't say this out of laziness, but this film generally speaking including this review has been really, really hard work [now I could be wrong but I just wanted state this; I cannot remember too well if they have tried to use other characters from the three new Justice League members in this film beside this one and there appears has to be of some kind of substance.]

You see I have a pretty good memory when another yet similar company does it, because without going on and on, they slot them in and it makes sense and purpose. But if you were going to ask me any small details about the DCU or the DCEU I would struggle and to be honest I don't know what initials to use as it relates to this company now, you see from a structural/plans standpoint this is why I prefer the similar yet different company, they seem to do everything as a big jigsaw puzzle without missing out too much, if any [it depends on your opinion of the other companies film titles and which interpretation they are going for] so when a small piece at the bigger picture is done they move as one to the next big section and it should be noted if you have reached the end of this review well done to you.

On a side note this was dictated way before the announcement that the DCEU is now officially called Worlds of DC.

Scrat's Continental Crack-Up 2010 by AverageMansReviews

Scrat's Continental Crack-Up 2010 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this title is good, this review is going to be short based on the fact it is only roughly 3 minutes long

Fundamental elements: there words on screen, cultural elements, background music and place jumps

Storyline/Comedy level/Artistic visions: I am going to be talking about all of these elements at the same time, because they are all linked in one way or another. This project shows us the audience how the Earth changed [terraformed] with a helping hand from our friend Scrat, so every time he does something whilst in this location being it accidental he has a big impact on the world, the artistic visions shows the Earth will never be the same again after this.

This film receives: 7/10, this project is good

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans 2009 by AverageMansReviews

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans 2009 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this title is good

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, cultural elements, background music, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, mental imagery, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences: there are weapons being used, combat elements and other elements. The big crossbows sequence where we have these Lycans running to escape this location, but from a short distance away we have these what I believe to be these vampire Knights shooting from these big crossbows which cannot move I think from their fixed locations [these Knights can aim, fire and reload these weapons.]

Character developments/Performances: they are a little bit straightforward, I would have liked to see a little bit more conflict as it relates to one character, the kind of conflict I am talking about is inner conflict from one main character to another main character, they have known each other for a very long time, they make reference to these two characters knowing each other for a long time/saying there is a one-way bond there on some lower-level at some points amongst other things in this title, but there are no signs of inner conflict, maybe it has something to do with this character's position in this social order, but still when this situation arises it would have still been nice to see a little bit of conflict within this character to begin with and then, he could drift quickly back to his original personality traits/character developments. The whole point of this; would have been something like this; in this characters head "Okay it is of the most importance that I don't show weakness, because if I do my seat maybe under threat, so I need to do what is expected of me" and yes there is anger and later on sadness but that comes from another situation between a main character and another main character [a different pairing but there is a triangle thing going on here and that is as much as I can tell you without giving too much away.] Moving on generally speaking the performances are all good.

This film receives: 6/10, I really don't want to talk about this point for too long, it is one of those occasions where it is too big for me not to talk about it for at least a minute. The first thing I want to say is yes I am aware that this project is a prequel and the ending to this project it makes sense, but having said that there is a sequence in the first film title [Underworld 2003] where in a nutshell they show mental imagery followed by a dialogue exchanges of this history situation and other references in this title [so logical you could just watch the 2003 version again, yes it wouldn't be as in-depth but you can still get the points,] so to wrap-up this review I will say this title is good, Happy Christmas or Happy Holidays and Happy New Year for 2019.

Scream 4 2011 by AverageMansReviews

Scream 4 2011 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this sequel is poor

Fundamental elements: there is background music, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences: briefly there are two sequences where I can say that was different or something to that effect; the head/forehand or letterbox sequences, I can't be too much more in depth than this; because just in case many ages are viewing/reading my reviews.

Storyline/Comedy level: I don't have too much to say about this sequel, there is a consistent theme where it pays respect to the original Scream 1994 film that is as much as I can say without giving too much away. Moving on to the comedy level there are some tiny elements of comedy which there are two elements one I can say and the other I cannot say just because it has an adult word, so here is a word for you to look out for when it comes to the comedy element I can mention "Clear"

Character developments/Performances: on both counts these are poor, I mean yes they do give Sidney Prescott some dialogue exchanges where she is trying to connect with another character, but generally speaking the newcomers to this franchise come across as something like this; "Don't bother me I am looking at my phone!" Whilst their friend could be in danger or worse that kind of attitude and they haven't really updated or progressed Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers-Riley as characters either [before someone points it out yes I am aware that these two characters are married now.]

This film receives: 1/10, this is one of those occasions where even though I have pointed out some small little bits and pieces which are positives and there may be others based on your opinion, but I said this mark after watching it and I am going to stick with it.

Underworld: Evolution 2006 by AverageMansReviews

Underworld: Evolution 2006 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this sequel is poor

Fundamental elements: there are words and a number on screen, voice-over elements, cultural elements, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, mental imagery, background music, yes and no to subtitles being used when another language is being used, place jumps and time jumps.
Now I have to say the general movement of this sequel is slow and hard work to watch, it is one of those times where because the movement/fundamental elements are the way they are; it has an effect on the rest of the film in such a way that I have just gone to see how long this sequel is/was, because having sat through it; it feels longer than roughly 106 minutes.

Action sequences: firstly in a nutshell to begin with there are weapons being used and combat elements. Now here are some sequences for you to look out for when you have the three main characters battling on/in this moving vehicle and without giving too much away whenever this Chopper gets used in the final section of this sequel these would be good elements as well as the one I have just pointed out.

Character developments/Performances: there are character developments, I don't know what to say really other than what I have just said, yes things get moved on that is as much as I can tell you, moving on to the performances briefly they range from poor to mixed, as I was saying earlier because of the movement/the fundamental elements being slow amongst other things, it consequently shows the vulnerabilities of this sequel, meaning if this title was quicker in one way or another it would give the audience less time to notice things such as this film is dragging its feet which in the interest of fairness and balance may have an impact on the performances [in the sense of them carrying this film or something like this.]

This film receives: 3/10, now before I wrap things up and as I like to keep things balanced, I should just point out this title does get quicker in the final section, but now I have said that taking everything into consideration this mark feels right.

Underworld 2003 by AverageMansReviews

Underworld 2003 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is good.

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, background music, mental imagery, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, time jumps and place jumps.

Well I am just going to come out and say it; this film is much better when it stops dragging its feet, I don't know when this happens it is like a light switch has just been turned on.

Action sequences: there are weapons being used, combat elements and chasing elements. These action sequences give this title value, you know what I'm trying to say they are put together as something messy [as if I was a cleaner; I am 99.9% sure there was some form of a battle here or something like this; that kind of messy.]

Character developments/Performances/Storyline: in a nutshell they range from mixed to good, but now I have said that I can now be a little bit more in-depth, I don't mean to repeat myself but this will make sense; when this film wakes up, it is much easier to see or to feel these character developments or the performances, you see on both counts the character developments and the performances are as Vampires or Lycans or something else [I can't tell you that because that would be a major point to the storyline and I'm sure there are some humans somewhere around here as well,] but back to my point; it goes on about why this war is happening and on top of that the character developments are developing towards a sequel [I can tell you that much because the storyline and other bits and pieces are designed to tell you that at the closing stages of this film,] before someone points out; yes I am aware this film has many sequels, but to be fair to myself I deal with here and now it makes things slightly easier to focus on and work on at the same time.

This film receives: 7/10, now after I have taken everything into consideration this mark feels and looks the right choice to me.

Easy Rider 1969 by AverageMansReviews

Easy Rider 1969 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor

Fundamental elements/Storyline: there are cultural elements, background music, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

I don't have too much to say about this title to begin with; but I do have little bits and pieces to talk about nonetheless, generally speaking this film feels like it never gets out of first gear and when it does show signs of something happening, it kind of gets pushed under the carpet or it is the end of the film [I can tell you that much because I am not specifically telling you anything, other than maybe this; I really don't have a lot of patience or anything you would like to call it for this ending style.]

Comedy level/Performances: I think this was an element of comedy where one of our characters/performers is wearing this American Football helmet which in short it has this golden colour to it. Moving on to the performances well briefly first of all I think I'm going to say they are mixed, because I don't want to come over in this review as being harsh, I have come to this conclusion based on the facts the fundamental elements are if I haven't made this clear enough already they are really hard work and I don't mind saying this again this film never seems to get going. But when you have Fonda, Hopper and Nicholson talking about UFOs this was an interesting sequence and there are other scenes or sequences to be fair but the more I think about it the more this film needed these three on screen all the time, yes you may have two out of the three most of the time anyway, but looking back over it these three had the beginnings of maybe, just maybe giving this title some life [that is as much as I can say without giving too much away.]

This film receives: 1/10, this film was a struggle for me to watch, and it is hardly an easy ride, on a quick side note there are weapons being used, but there isn't enough for me to justify its own paragraph.

Drive Hard 2014 by AverageMansReviews

Drive Hard 2014 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is excellent.

Fundamental elements: there is mental imagery, slow-motion effects, background music, quick moving effects, voice-over elements, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences/Comedy level: I will be discussing these two elements briefly in this paragraph and slightly more in another paragraph later on, it is just I can't fit all of these header words in one line. The action sequences have weapons being used, chasing sequences and combat elements and now moving on to the comedy level it ranges from mature themes to [just to cover my own back I am going to say] to adult themes in one way or another.

Character developments/Performances: now for most of this cast on both counts be it character developments or performances that is either them following what their character developments are or without the two main characters/performers I will be discussing shortly this film would have nothing special [I am trying not to be too harsh,] but considering what these two characters/performers bring to the table and consequently has a big effect on the mark of this title; in short I'm trying to say take these two characters/performers away from this title it doesn't bear thinking about it that is how much they affect this title [but having said all this; there are two elderly characters/performers that deserve a quick mention for being funny and let's put it politely they don't really hold back on anything.]

Cusack and Jane; do so, so much for this title be it for the action sequences, comedy level, their character developments or their performances. This is why I was trying to get all four of these headers together, because between these two characters/performers their chemistry allows these four elements to work or develop or anything else in such a way that you can get all these elements rotating off one another or working with one another depending where you are in this title, so it could be action mixed in with comedy or character developments or dialogue exchanges of meaning and purpose.

This film receives: 9/10, the storyline is something safe and reliable roughly but what is built on top of the storyline surrounding Cusack and Jane's characters/chemistry is why this mark has been chosen.

Assassin's Creed 2014 by AverageMansReviews

Assassin's Creed 2014 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor.

Fundamental elements: there are words and numbers on screen, background music, cultural elements, mental imagery, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, yes and no to subtitles being used [I think I will discuss this more in a minute,] interpreter, time jumps and place jumps.

Well I strongly don't like this film and I'm pretty sure this will not be the first time I will be saying this in this review. My interest in this title was pretty much gone after roughly 13 minutes and if you're wondering that is a little bit precise; I paused the film to find this out. Now look I have never hidden the fact that I am not a strong reader and I am dyslexic, but the size and the font of the subtitles are small and yes I may have understood some of it, but I got irritated by this so much that [I have always said I would be clean in my language in my reviews,] so I will just say I will let you imagine what my reactions were. I have to say even though I'm not a strong reader/dyslexic, I like a fighting chance with reading anything on screen, this can be easily solved with bigger text than what we have in this title, with better font may be different colours when someone else is talking [for an example we could have two different characters talking so they used two different colours of text or anything other to basically make it easier to read, so I think there are no subtitles being used when some characters are running/chasing characters which they may or may not say something.

I will try and keep this brief; it doesn't matter what time in history you are in [this will make better sense when or if you choose to watch this title,] the movement of this project is uninspiring and hard work to watch.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: there are weapons being used, combat elements, first-person shooter [you'll have to be quick to see these elements,] and a training element. Now from an artistic perspective this title looks nice, I don't know what else to say really because mostly everything else about this title even from an professional unbiased perspective or personal perspective it either irritates me or I just don't like it.

Storyline/Performances: now it is true I don't know too much about this franchise [when I say franchise I mean that in a videogame sense; as far as my knowledge goes this title is based on a videogame franchise and that is it.] So with that in mind and not forgetting I have re-dictated this paragraph twice at this point, because having looked over it again and again I ran the risk of telling you too much or you could have pieced it together which is something I don't do, so I have just decided to say this instead and one other thing; it would have been really, really useful to have this earpiece idea so when our lead character and us landed in this landscape this earpiece would translate any language into English and with the earpiece came a warning try not to get hit too hard in that other place, because your earpiece may fall out in this place and without the earpiece you will not be able to understand other languages so we would have to bring you back to sort out the problem or unless you learn their language or find some way to communicate with them. I wouldn't have minded a sequence which was based on the earpiece falling out so our lead role had to use a different way of trying to communicate to another character, it would have been a mixture between slightly comical and sensible in this exchange.

The next element of the storyline I would like to talk about is the ending stages [I am not going to be talking about anything related to the ending stages,] I am specifically talking about the ending style and nothing more, what a great idea [sarcasm is very much intended] to leave this project on a big question-mark, the kind of question-mark that implies we will be getting a sequel and all I am going to say on that is "No thank you."

Now moving on to the performances; I think this would be the first time I have ever done this in a review where I have chosen to give everyone a free-pass, I am not doing this out of laziness but in fairness and balance with everything I have spoke about in this review up to this point the performances are not the biggest issue; let me clarify I am sticking up for the performers by saying their talents are wasted in this project and because of the other issues in this project I couldn't really settle down with these performances or anything related to these performances, so consequently it would be difficult for me to criticize something that even though I watched this film yesterday the performances are somewhat crushed by everything else hence why I'm going to say again these performers get a free-pass and their talents are wasted.

This film receives: 1/10, let's try to leave this review on a positive the apparatus which our lead role uses was a good and interesting thing, as I have already said the artistic visions look nice and to point out one thing Fassbender and Irons sharing the same screen together for a little while of what I remember, so I could be wrong about this; but still it was cool I just wish it was in a much, much, much, much better film and if I haven't said something to this effect enough I strongly don't like this film and there is one other thing which I have just remembered, usually I don't mention when or if I use any facilities such as subtitles, because as long as I get through the project in question that is all that matters, but in this case I even tried the subtitles facilities to see if I could find better subtitles than what this film has, but it didn't work.
