Comments: well these attribute markings are going to take some explaining; But as you can see to begin with on a positive the surrounding categories really did help, but for a match/match slot that goes on for less than 30 seconds. Because I can look from an objective perspective and not the actual match/match slot itself. This match slot in essence like it or not is designed to protect everyone to a certain extent, make everyone look good and to put the championship where they want it from the ex-WWF Champion to the transitional Champion Yokozuna to the eventual Champion Hogan. In a nutshell Hart wears out Yokozuna; Yokozuna picks up the championship by heel tactics, Hogan picks up the championship do to Yokozuna already having one match and heel tactics backfire.

But now I have been professional to an extent; did this match/match slot actually take place? Because on commentary we here  Savage making bell sounds, but we didn't hear at any time beginning or end of this match the bell which if you're wondering which would the referee was Earl Hebner so as far as I'm concerned this is two calls he has missed; the first one was Hart should have been disqualified for ramming Yokozuna's head into an exposed turnbuckle and the second and third ones where as I have just said you didn't call for the bell to begin and end this match and yes from this match/match slot until the closing of this pay-per-view everything does feel like it is being rushed because we are running out of time, yes I could be wrong about this, but to support my opinion if it is the way it looks then my point is valid.

Basic Result: I know I have already referenced the winner; but if you have known me long enough, you know I'm a stickler for admin. You're New WWF Champion Hulk Hogan

This Pay-Per-View receives: 5/10, this pay-per-view is mixed; based on the entirety of this pay-per-view, generally speaking there is good wrestling, it has one giant flaw. I can now speak freely, I mean at some points I have made reference to this; but what was the point of talking most of these matches? When to finish them as in their conclusion let's just say a minimum there was some controversy, there was at one point where this pay-per-view was going to get given something a little higher, but the later stages of this pay-per-view took care of that idea, which eventually wore itself out to the point you could see a whole are through it. I know I have made an argument for the final matches/slots on this card, but still. But I have to give a special mention to this crowd even when they got worn out a little they were still here for this pay-per-view.

Comments: so this match/match slot is good, but it isn't without a blooper or/and problem. We have Savage on commentary thinking the crowd are saying respect, but then he quickly corrects himself by saying they aren't there are saying USA. Now this is where I believe Heenan instantaneously came up with this on his own, because not only has he got a quick brain, but a quick wit where he came out of nowhere fluently after Savage and basically hit this out of the park and regardless if he is heel which he is or not you can't argue with this. Basically he points out that one of these competitors is from Japan [Contender] and the other is from Canada [Champion.] I know where this pay-per-view is being held is in the USA, but still Heenan has a faultless point here, I am not overlooking his slightly iffy reference to the Hart family from earlier, but this natural and as I have already referenced fluent point completely overrides that and we always have to keep in mind that and this is speculation here, because they have no way of proving it, but let's be fair this line or reference could have been fed to him through his headset and no if you're thinking this positive line could have been fed to him, it was just too quick for anyone to come up with backstage and then put it through his headset, this is 100% Heenan, but I also have to keep in mind, that the iffy comment was Heenan as well, because if you know anything about Heenan, he was one of the best on any form of microphone or promo or any form of speech, basically anything to create friction on some level.

Now we come to the situation in the far right top corner with the turnbuckle, Yokozuna is bringing Hart out of the corner and Hart is facing towards the turnbuckle and he is grabbing on to the top turnbuckle; it comes off in Hart's which I have no problem with. But I do have a problem with Hart in a little time using the exposed turnbuckle to ram Yokozuna's head, yes I know slightly before this Hart's puts Yokozuna in this corner with it being exposed, but you could say that Hart is clearly trying to get on with the match so he isn't directly using the exposed turnbuckle, but as soon as he rounds Yokozuna's head into the exposed turnbuckle that should have been a disqualification the Referee [Earl Hebner] didn't call for it, so it should have been Still You're WWF Champion Brett "The Hitman" Hart which obviously makes anything happen in the incredibly near irrelevant.

Comments: I wish they put on the dark match/match slot instead; Tito Santana vs. Papa Shango. Now obviously before someone points this out, because this is a dark match/match slot meaning for those that don't know this match/match slot is just for those in live attendance, so I don't know how this match/match slot went as in the match itself. But my point being it had to be better than this match/match slot here, it wouldn't have actually taken much that of a low quality this match slot is in its entirety. I mean this dark match/match slot goes on for 8 minutes whilst this match/match slot goes on for 7 minutes and 33 seconds so as you can see they are roughly of similar length but this match slot would have probably taken longer just for The Undertaker [with Paul Bearer] entrance. I mean why did they bother talking this match when they had clearly no idea how to execute it probably; in a nutshell because I really don't want to spend too much time on this shower of garbage roughly; we have the usage of chloroform [yes I did just say chloroform,] a stretcher and referees, officials and other personnel breaking up these two wrestlers and finally throughout this entire situation we have the commentary team talking about the ongoing and rapidly changing situation.

Basic Result: based on where we are with this pay-per-view we all know the result basically The Undertaker [with Paul Bearer] picks up the win

They also have do once again cover my back by saying hopefully and I have no way of proving this it was just cut off to us as we had to go somewhere else and not from the crowd, but then again I do get that kind of feeling that they are running out of time to fit everything in this pay-per-view.

Warning: racial word here at some point/showing of eye damage * "Mean" Gene Okerlund: Interviewer in short is on his own on-screen to build up the next match our main event Yokozuna [with Mr. Fuji] vs. the WWF Champion Brett "The Hitman" Hart; Singles Match for the WWF Championship; with replay of footage to complement the contender Yokozuna [with Mr. Fuji,]  this promotion of this main event and then he is joined by coming into the short/on-screen Hulk Hogan where he discussed; just leaving the champion' dressing room, what happened earlier in his match, shares his opinion and puts out a challenge to whomever wins that he is next in line and this is where he says the racial word he says the shorter version of Japanese, I know as it relates to sporting events it is okay to write it down for an abbreviation but not to actually say it and just for the record I am not picking on Hogan for it his future history or nowadays past reference. But for myself I would like to very much not get cancelled for not highlighting this so I am very much covering my back here and nothing else, I know the world was a different place back then because I actually lived it, I am not being woke here either as I have already just highlighted I am doing this simply to protect my own back in this modern world.

Comments: as my attribute markings would suggest this match/match slot is good, but a little bit disappointing for various reasons. As I made reference to in the previous match/match slot with the commentary table making these comments or having these comments fed to them by backstage, minus Ross yes he did laugh a little, about these women assisting Luther with his gimmick was in a nutshell not cool considering these men are of a certain age, so once again apologies for that. Ross says his spinning leg lock, which this is wrong, but what makes this moment worse is the fact we have Savage just behind Ross verbally calling the move correctly spinning toehold, it is one of those very small awkward moments and this petulant things on the contrary table is annoying, I know Heenan is a heel and all that, but seriously it isn't that funny.

Next I am not going to be too harsh on the crowd here, because even I know what the problem is; don't get me wrong they are still here for this match/match slot as you can hear, but this is nothing against them this is more to do with the fact that anyone going after someone big back in this timeframe such as Hulk Hogan, the crowd are going to be a bit subdued.

Now and finally experienced wrestling fans or/and people within or around the industry would know this, if you do something once or twice and you don't do it consistently for in this example for a third time. Then you will have somebody like me pointing this out; so in some capacity we have had referees coming down to the ring, without giving too much away but enough to make my point here. Why didn't a referee come down to the ring to set things straight?

I get what they did here and I don't mind it, so in another situation it is absolutely fine, it keeps both competitors looking strong, protects someone from the loss and developing things and so on and so forth. But as I have just said in this case or in a similar case where they have made a rod for their back in this pay-per-view, where was another referee to assist the referee for this match Joey Marella?

Basic Result: "The Narcissist" Lex Luger picks up the win.

* "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Jim Ross & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary talk about what they have just seen over live goings-on including  "The Narcissist" Lex Luger's theme music; after a little bit of research I can't find the theme entrance name, apologies for any inconvenience. But meanwhile we are still looking in the ring with everyone involved in this match Luger certainly takes out Perfect with his metal plating in his forearm and then head back to the backstage area with that Marella checks on Perfect, he leaves; Perfect decides to go and sort out Luger he leaves the ring and head backstage we are in following him, Perfect finds Luger talking to our WWF Intercontinental Champion and attacks Lugar, but Michaels has other plans as he takes down Perfect; referees, officials and other people break it up. Our commentary team is on-screen covering this and then Savage and Heenan have a very heated discussion about this situation with Ross stuck in the middle.

Match Total: 49/60 - this match/match slot is excellent

Comments: well this was certainly a match/match slot which had a little bit of many things. Our Referee for this match is Earl Hebner, so Beefcake and Hogan at different points go to do this whole in a wrestling sense punching thing but everyone I get it. It shows that they are eager to start or continuing battling, I would usually leave this kind of thing alone, there is a fair bit of let's just say theatre in this match/match slot, which I will not be discussing every little detail, because even though this is the spoiler alarm version, I still don't like giving too much away and only if it is necessary. But moving on to my next point; Beefcake is wearing a protective mask so of course I.R.S holds Beefcake so that DiBiase can perform an axe handle from the second turnbuckle on the far left to right [in their corner] and obviously this hurts DiBiase because of the mask, then a moment or two later in a nutshell DiBiase does the whole bouncing the head off the bottom right turnbuckle on Beefcake, but obviously this doesn't work because of the reasons of the mask; in fact Beefcake does this whole wagging finger thing and then returns the favour and then Beefcake does the finger wag again when Dibiase is on the mat after his team yet again returns the favour and does a axe handle from the second turn buckle [in their corner] yes Hogan actually does a high risk move [in his move set I would consider this to be a high risk move considering he doesn't go to the high risk district that often] and finally in the first section of this match we have the Champions outside of the ring on the side of the entrance to the ring. Beefcake and Hogan are celebrating individually on their own; Beefcake goes in for a high 10, but he gets left hanging there as Hogan is busy being Hogan.

The champions head for backstage under the impression that they can get counted out and retain their championship's, but Hebner makes a executive decision and informs our Ring announcer Maximus basically; if they don't come back they will lose this match and their championships. Now for the observant people someone with a little bit of comedy now; in the crowd is clearly giving the bird to Dibiase, all I am going to say is look around on the right-hand side as these champions find out this ruling and come back to the ring, it is somewhere around here.

But back to this match.

On resuming this match Hogan points out that throughout all of this that as things stand DibBiase is not the legal man and I have locked back at this and Hogan is correct. A little bit later we have Dibiase and Hogan down, Hebner dealing with I.R.S in the champion’s corner, but Hebner almost falls over DiBiase as Hebner is backing up from dealing with I.R.S. Finally Hebner is down and there is some controversy.

Basic Result: And Your New; wait what another Referee Dangerous Danny Davis quickly comes down to the ring and sorted out the decision, Still You’re the WWF Tag Team Champions Money Inc. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase & I.R.S. [In a nutshell; what we have here is a case of keeping everyone strong, without changing the champions.]

* The Mega-Maniacs: Hulk Hogan & Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake [with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart;] basically clearing the ring of the WWF Tag Team Champions Money Inc. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase & I.R.S and Davis

* Hulk Hogan's theme music hits "Real American" they start celebrating in the ring, we momentarily have the contrary team on-screen and then back to the celebrations in the ring, in fact they even have a little bit more fun at DiBiase's expense.

* Todd Pettengill: Interviewer tries to interview Natalie Cole about what just happened and her next project and then Pettengill moves on to interview the CEO-Caesar's Palace Dan Reichartz in a nutshell it was about previous events held here and this event, can I just point out how stupid it was to try and hold no one but to interviews over what was happening in the ring and yes we don’t see what is happening in the ring, but when you have Hogan and his theme music, good luck with trying to hear anyone over that.

* "Mean" Gene Okerlund: Interviewer Mr. Perfect they discuss Luther and his devastating forearm metal plating in his arm, including very recently at this Mania brunch when Luther knocked out the WWF Champion Hart. So we have Perfect doing/saying is usual perfect promo, it was so serious and spot on until we got to " The Narcissist" Lex Luger, blooper let's just say he got tongue tied and Okerlund helped him out a little with Perfect just glossing over it with he is excited; it is comical as they both know they are trying to cover this up with Perfect walking out of the screen going to do the wrestling thing, with Okerlund in short don't go too far I want to go to the table is with you.

* Finkus Maximus: Ring announcer the stipulations and then introduces the competitors.

* "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Jim Ross & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary talk basically the ongoing situation with Luger, with him knocking everyone out with his forearm metal plating and what happened at this Mania's branch and the WWF Champions Hart with him also getting knocked out. Moving on I can only apologise for the commentary table's comments towards these women that escort Luger to the ring, Ross is the only one that for a 99.9% keeps a professional okay he may have a little very tiny laugh and a comment and yes I will be taking the mark off in the next content because of this. I know it was a different world back then and no I am not being woke, but these men are of a certain age and it is not pleasant for them to be acting like this [I should just point out and I am not defending them, but there is always a possibility that some of this may be being fed into their headsets, yes this is speculation but I needed to be fair and balanced so either or not cool.]

Ross on commentary provides us with another update on the situation between Sherry and Vachon, then a little time later Ross advertises the WrestleMania IX hotline, Savage brings up this incident at the WrestleMania IX branch where the WWF Champion Hart gets knocked out by Luther and they will discuss it with Ross reassuring us he is in a nutshell fit to compete tonight.

Comments: this match/match slot is solidly good in one way or another it plays into these wrestlers/characters strengths. I will begin with the commentary table/team; basically Heenan points out that this action is unfair, because the bell hasn't gone yet. But I can reassure you it had gone already a short time ago and yes just to make sure I replayed this moment. Heenan makes reference to Clown falling backwards when he was on the top turnbuckle, but he didn't fall backwards, okay the occasion that Heenan is making reference to; it happens at the bottom right turnbuckle even Savage points out he almost falls off, this is where Heenan adds backwards. I would say that the Crown looks okay, but I would say he looks a bit jittery. Later on Savage makes reference to this situation again as in he almost fell off last time or something to that effect. What irritates me about this is yes they talk about he can wrestle as it relates to the Crown, but what they don't make reference to his there are two occasions where it comes off the top turnbuckle and they don't make reference to it whatsoever. Ross point out how perfect a piledriver is being performed by the Crown, which is true. But however and before I continue I need to point out that this just may be Crush's hairstyle of the mullet including the possibility of his height as well, but you can clearly see his head after the clown's legs, just to make sure I don't have any repercussions verbally for this; I know there is a height difference between these two wrestlers and I refer you back to my disclaimer. I am sure the Clown and everything goes okay for this move; it is just everyone knows if you have been around wrestling long enough what happens when this particular move Or a version of this move goes wrong and in fairness and balance Crush looks absolutely fine after this as he continues the match. I knew if I didn't bring up this point I would run the risk of getting some backlash maybe some time now or in the future.

Back to the commentary team, to be honest they are beginning to get a little bit tiresome and full disclosure, it may not be their fault I then they are getting fed these lines but who knows. Ross makes reference to this Referee [Joey Marella] makes reference to the referee lying there motionless and Savage makes reference to no he is just out cold that is all he is and then we have Heenan chipping in with; he's down and guess what he can't get back up. I mean these are basically and roughly the same thing or at minimum they are in the same ballpark, it just comes across as they are stepping on each other's toes and I know Heenan is meant to be a heel on commentary. But this consistent bickering for an example about Ross' background is becoming so a little bit tedious.

Yes this is good light wood for; whatever this was meant to be I am not even touching it, it isn't bad but as I have already indicated in this day in age I am not going to get myself cancelled. But I digress; Razor Ramon's theme music hits "Bad Boy" Pettengill sends us down to the ring.

Comments: if you were indeed were alive or into wrestling at this point in history, you would know as I do both of these tag teams came from the model of we have what we have as in skill, you have what you have and let's see who comes out on top. Full disclosure I did fall asleep watching this match, but that was more down to me running out of steam and nothing to do with this match/match slot. Ross provides us with incoming news as it relates to "Sensational" Sherry and Luna Vachon and their ongoing situation. Savage I am going to say what confused by listening to this script over his head said, I don't know this to be true obviously but he did get something back to front. Where I am paraphrasing here he was meant to say to Ross; Heenan has always got a defence but instead of saying he-man uses Ross has always got a defence which Heenan picked up one and in a nutshell never mind.
