Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 60: An Oyster Stew by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 60: An Oyster Stew by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is top-notch entertainment

5 things about this episode

Back stories/Storyline/Blooper: there is this shifty looking character/Putty/Putty Patroller/performer that tells Zack this story of his wife, the viewers have different back stories on this monster for this episode from different perspectives [it from the evildoers or the good side] at one point or another.

Now because we are at the final episode of this season, I should just point out as it relates to the storylines Zordon & Alpha 5 have their own narratives, they contact The Power Rangers [in their everyday lives] from The Command Center whenever something traumatic on Earth happens or a new threat sets off this alarm in The Command Center, they watch these events on the Viewing Globe, basically they support The Power Rangers anyway they can.

I know I usually label these narratives by saying which characters/performers are used in them, but in this case as the narratives change with different characters/performers being used in them be it individually or pair or trio or more or all or in their civilian attire or as The Power Rangers themselves or all of them in their civilian attire morph as the 6 Power Rangers. Basically there is a lot happening in the storyline which is excellent but I am not going to sit here labelling/saying every narrative be it any lengths or when they come together and then breakaway again.

The bloopers are massive, because in a nutshell you have the 6 Power Rangers in their civilian attire, talking about this latest threat inside/this romantic restaurant with so many people around [this restaurant is an outside restaurant] and they are not quiet about what they are talking about and then they quickly run out of this restaurant and look for somewhere out of the way to morph; Jason looks around to see if anyone is coming, but it is not that far away from the restaurant in the first place and on top of that Jason doesn't say "It's morphing time!" quietly he says it at the normal volume, so in short I am not sure how they kept their secret identities a secret here throughout this sequence and yes I know there is another scene where The Power Rangers in their civilian attire; Jason, Kimberly, Billy and Tommy are talking about Power Rangers things around this table in Angel Grove Youth Center, but they are trying to discuss things quietly so why didn't they do things quietly earlier?

Action sequences/Artistic visions: on both counts they offer so much of the highest level of creativity and imagination, not to give too much away but watch out for this underwater action sequence and I can really appreciate the creativity behind the continuation [this monster gets hit so hard by the Dragonzord's tale that he ends up flying out of this underwater location to crash on this landscape to continue this battle against the Dragonzord and the Megazord.

I have just remembered the Power Crystals; the 5 Power Rangers take out their Power Coins from their belts and they individually change them into crystals whilst they are in their individual Zords to begin the connection process into this Tank Mode, followed by the Megazord Battle Mode [all I can say here is; I remember bringing some of this up in previous blogs, but I can't remember the Power Coins and better late than never.]

This episode receives: 10/10, this episode is packed with many top-notch things that this was the only mark I had in mind for this episode and it leaves this season on a high.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 59: Mighty Morphin' Mutants by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 59: Mighty Morphin' Mutants by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is lots of fun

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Bloopers: Tommy gets a small narrative in this episode as he needs to go and pick something up from home, Goldar has a short-term narrative [that is as much as I can say without giving too much away] and just to cover my back I know at one point or another Rita Repulsa and/or her disciples in different numbers have had narratives, it is just I was getting used to what a narrative was [I am self-taught and I don't discuss everything anyway,] the storyline for this episode is good.

I have to see where the 5 Power Rangers morph as a blooper or where Tommy morphs as well [two individual scenes,] because it is right inside Angel Grove High School, you have either people walking around before their morphing time or there are voices which can be heard outside the camera shot to begin with, not forgetting Jason and Kimberly are talking to Zordon [at different points in this scene via Jason's wrist communicator] with Trini, Billy and Zack listening or directly in front of his locker in Tommy's morphing scene, so basically what I'm saying here is no one overheard any of this or seeing any of it in these two situations and there is another blooper; now once again I am trying not to give too much away here. So when Rita Repulsa makes this monster/other characters/performers grow for some strange reason two are missing and I have just remembered another blooper, how come in this episode the Power Sword is strong enough to take down these 4 enemies which they are built up as individually strong with its final strike [but it wasn't strong enough to take down Goldar & Scorpina in the episode Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 45: Crystal of Nightmares [I will leave the link down below.]

Character developments/Artistic visions: there are lots of character developments in one way or another, for one example this small selection of Putties/Putty Patrollers goes through this metamorphosis and this is something for you to look out for; there is a small element to accompany this at one point in this episode

Action sequences: they are hard hitting, for one example again; when these three characters/performers have this monster hoisted up between them and the two enemies at the front are still able to kick

This episode receives: 10/10, yes even though it does have some bloopers; this episode has creativity and imagination to it of the most highest standard.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 58: Football Season by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 58: Football Season by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is another good episode

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Character developments: the viewers have Tommy which becomes Tommy/The Green Power Ranger in a narrative, yes with other characters/performers but he spends some time away from the other Power Rangers and the storyline for this episode is good.

Moving on to the character developments; Tommy to begin with doesn't have much confidence as it relates to trying out for this American Football team, we have Jason, Kimberly, Trini being supportive including Ernie which gives up his time to teach/train Tommy and I should just point out Zack and Billy are supportive at the end of this episode as well.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: well I may as well come out and say it based on the title of this episode there is a consistent theme of American Football in one way or another. On both counts we have the Putties/Putty Patrollers vs. the 5 Power Rangers and then just the 6th one, but when we have the Putties/Putty Patrollers vs. the 5 Power Rangers this sequence plays out like American Football, including these Putties/Putty Patrollers have been dressed in a basic American Football kit [I am pretty sure I haven't said anything about this yet, but I am now going to now and again in these episodes these Putties/Putty Patrollers have hand accessories like weapons or something other, I just need it to squeeze that in before the end of this season,] the monster for this episode is in these scenes as well.

Comedy level: now speaking of coming towards the end of this season, it did come to me earlier on in this season that Bulk & Skull have their narratives for these episodes and I haven't said anything about them, this is because I don't bring up every detail of everything but specifically it dawned on me at some point they get long narratives in their futures so I may bring them up now and again just to keep things nice and fresh, I can't speak of them now because they haven't happened yet, but I know they happen.

But back to here and now these two characters/performers are working towards getting Bulk ready for these tryouts, here is something for you to hear out for; there is this dialogue exchange between Rita Repulsa and Squatt, this dialogue exchange is short, but it is also of comic value.

This episode receives: 7/10, now don't get me wrong there are things happening in this episode, but at some point it wakes up and just gets better and better.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 57: Enter... The Lizzinator by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 57: Enter... The Lizzinator by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good.

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Blooper: Jason which becomes Jason/The Red Power Ranger has a short-term narrative and a character/performer [the character's name is Kelly,] also has a short-term narrative with Baboo & Squatt as well, the storyline is good.

Moving on to the blooper; I have to see this element in the storyline/episode as a blooper, because it is a section of this episode altogether. Now without giving too much away Kelly is struggling to get this sequence down for her cheerleader tryouts. But in the final sequence/scene of this episode we never find out if she was able to complete it from beginning to end with confidence,  because the viewers just see this sequence without pom-poms, without a cheer just a dance routine with confidence.

Action sequences/Artistic visions/Comedy level: now at one point or another these three points work off one another; like watch out for this Putty/Putty Patroller, this vehicle and Jason/The Red Power Ranger or when this monster grabs the Dragonzord by its tail and swings him around whilst giving this adapted saying ["Around and around Dragonzord goes where he lands nobody knows"] and then let's go.

This episode receives: 7/10, as I have already said this episode is good.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 56: On Fins and Needles by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 56: On Fins and Needles by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is excellent.

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Character developments: now yes I would discuss other elements of the storyline as well, but I have decided to shake things up a little. The storyline is good; Jason and Tommy which becomes Jason/The Red Power Ranger and Tommy/The Green Power Ranger have a narrative for this episode, yes they rotate in and out of their narrative to join The Power Rangers be it in their civilian attire or as The Power Rangers themselves with other characters/performers as well.

Moving on to the character developments there is good chemistry/friction between Jason and Tommy, Jason/The Red Power Ranger and Tommy/The Green Power Ranger [yes depending where you are; is depending what you get.]

Artistic visions/Action sequences: on both counts these are highly imaginative, yes by today's standards they are looking a little bit vintage, but the highly imaginative ideas are still there nonetheless, we have double teams or the 5 Power Rangers miss an attack which from this generation is one of their combined strongest. But all I can say is without giving too much away it makes perfect sense to why they missed [when you come to watch this episode this will make crystal clear sense.]

Comedy level: Bulk & Skull try to make money out of this situation between Jason and Tommy, but it backfires on them [involving the Power Rangers in their civilian attire] and extras characters/performers or characters/performers for this episode, Tommy makes a joke in the final sequence.

This episode receives: 8/10, now before I say this; I should just point out there is nothing wrong with this episode, but now I have said that I can say this; this episode gets better and better the more you watch of it; it just gets on a roll and goes with it.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 55: Second Chance by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 55: Second Chance by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is lots of fun.

5 things about this episode

Back stories/Moral message/Storyline: Rita and Finster discuss this monster and The 5 Power Rangers [in their civilian attire] look at the Viewing Globe with Zordon giving information on this monster. The moral message is "It takes time to be good at anything, you just have to be patient."

Now at points in this episode we have different short-term narratives; we have Tommy, Bulk & Skull and Mrs. Appleby, then we have Billy, Kimberly, Trini and Ernie, then we have Jason, Zack and Roger [a character/performer for this episode.] Setting down the episode in this manner is an excellent way to put two your viewers that there is plenty of things going on. I know the Billy, Kimberly, Trini and Ernie narrative is just a scene before they join up with Zack, Jason and Roger, but it fulfils its purpose of plenty of things going on.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: the action sequences and the artistic visions have lots to offer this episode, now specifically the action sequences; be it in different numbers, different combinations [like for one example Zack on top of this Putty/Putty Patroller's shoulders whilst kicking around at other Putties/Putty Patrollers.]

On to the artistic visions; this monster for this episode is highly imaginative as it relates to its skills and abilities [I am not going to discuss these,] because someone or many people have put a lot of effort into creating this character/monster and I don't want to spoil this episode, but I can say this; he is something I can't miss out in this review and he is an interpretation of an Armadillo

This episode receives: 10/10, well as I have already said this episode is lots of fun

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 54: Trick or Treat by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 54: Trick or Treat by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good.

5 things about this episode

Back stories/Moral message/Storyline: The 5 Power Rangers [in costumes for Halloween] look at the Viewing Globe with Zordon giving information firstly on these little pumpkins and then secondly on this monster, the moral message is basically; you don't have to win prizes to know you are a winner. The storyline Tommy begins and ends this episode in the storyline, but he has a narrative because he has different plans, so there is a section of this episode where it rotates between what the 5 Power Rangers are doing [in their Halloween costumes or as The Power Rangers,] the storyline is good.

Artistic visions: The Power Rangers perform this rap, this monster raps and these pumpkin hench-monsters are imaginative [I won't say too much more because I don't want to give too much away,] but these are something for you to look out for nonetheless.

Comedy level: Bulk & Skull;  Skull gets two different substances on his face in one way or another in two different scenes and Bulk gets a piece of his Halloween costume stuck in this car door and [involving the Power Rangers in their civilian attire or in their Halloween costumes or Tommy and Kimberly in their civilian attire.] I should just clarify when I say involving The Power Rangers or any other character in some way they are in this scene at the very least

This episode receives: 6/10, I know I wanted to see if the remaining episode for this season would stay between 7 or higher, don't get me wrong as I have already said this episodes is good but this mark is the outcome of this episode.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 53: Fowl Play by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 53: Fowl Play by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is lots of fun

5 things about this episode

Back stories/Moral messages/Storyline: the back story on this monster comes to the viewers from this news report on TV, over Zack's wrist communicator with Zordon giving some information, The Power Rangers [in their civilian attire] looking at the Viewing Globe with Zordon giving more information, Tommy gets mentioned in some dialogue in this episode as well to keep him connected as it relates to the bigger picture and moving on to the moral message is basically "If you are stuck use your brain" and the second one is as a young character/performer says  something roughly like this;“The Black Power Ranger used his head before using his fists.”

The storyline; Zack and Zack/The Black Power Ranger gets a narrative for this episode he does join up with The other Power Rangers [in their civilian attire] or as The Power Rangers and then breaks off again

Action sequences: they are all impactful in one way or another, but I will not discuss every single one, so I may as well talk about one element in some detail, such as when this monster uses his wings to create this powerful force that it lifts Jason/The Red Power Ranger and Billy/The Blue Power Ranger off their feet and sends them flying backwards in the air, then this monster decides to do this combination attack, you see whilst this is happening he shoots out two of these missiles out of his open beak.

Comedy level: this element of this episode is a contributing effort, meaning it isn't just Bulk & Skull there is something for you to look out for; Ernie almost chokes on his drink after hearing Zack say something and after almost choking on his drink Ernie says a comment and leave the situation.

This episode receives: 10/10, from beginning to end this episode has lots to offer its viewers

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 52: Two Heads Are Better Than One by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 52: Two Heads Are Better Than One by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good

5 things about this episode

Back story/Storyline: the Power Rangers in their civilian attire look at the Viewing Globe and get given this information of this monster via Zordon and a little while later Alpha 5 contributes with some more information. Moving on to the storyline, there is a individual short-term narrative [Tommy] or a pair narrative which is also short-term Tommy and Jason which turns into Tommy/The Green Power Ranger and Jason/The Red Power Ranger, but in short the storyline is good.

Character developments: in this episode this is where Jason/The Red Power Ranger clearly hands over the leadership of The Power Rangers to Tommy/The Green Power Ranger, yet absolutely nothing is said but if you look at the signs they are there, for one example Tommy/The Green Power Ranger wanting to retreat from this situation, when Jason/The Red Power Ranger wants to stay and fight, he comes over as a real hothead.

Action sequences: all The Power Rangers take part in this attack [5 of them create this trampoline with their fists/arms] and Tommy/The Green Power Ranger jumps up off them to perform this aerial flip, gets out the Dragon Dagger then performs this aerial attack with the Dragon Dagger.

Comedy level: Bulk & Skull in short these two characters/performers [involving The Power Rangers in their civilian attire in different numbers in these two scenes,] will end up learning trying to pick up some dates has sometimes a painful outcome

This episode receives: 7/10, the headline from this episode is; the passing of the torch between Jason/The Red Power Ranger and The Green Power Ranger as it relates to the leadership of The Power Rangers, this episode keeps things progressing smoothly forward. On a quick side note because I haven't said this for a while as it relates to the 3 to 5 things about one episode, it just gives me the choice of what to put in these reviews, give me and you a little bit of variety in them and I don't give everything away which if you have been with me long enough you know, I never have been one of those critics that have given everything away, I just don't like it so I don't do it.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 51: Grumble Bee by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 51: Grumble Bee by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this is another highly entertaining episode

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Moral message: storyline; our 6 Power Rangers be it in their civilian attire or as The Power Rangers [minus 1, I was thinking I would just point this out before someone pointed this out for me,] have different narratives in this episode likewise be it an individual or a pair or a trio, the pair and the trio come in contact with one another and go their separate ways again [to cover my back yes there are other characters/performers in these narratives but I'm just focusing on the 6 in this review. Because of this; this episode moves with gusto as it has many things to do and the moral message is "You did your best and that is all we can do."

Action sequences/Artistic visions: in the trio of Jason, Zack and Kimberly, the viewers get to see what these three characters/performers can individually do with a basketball in an attack when they are taking on the Putties/Putty Patrollers. Moving on to the pair of  Trini/The Yellow and Billy/The Blue Power Ranger tried to perform this double-team sequence, but it doesn't exactly go to plan as Billy/The Blue Power Ranger is feeling the effect of something.

The artistic visions; the monster has some good looking attacks for one example this combination attack of first these yellow C. shapes hitting The Power Rangers followed by this loud sound, but on a quick side note when this monster uses this attack on the Megazord, we don't get this second part, no sound effects having a logical guess here; it is because the Megazord isn't organic so it doesn't work on him [just for the record yes you may have to use your imagination to see these C. shapes, but they are there.] The Pterodactyl Zord gets a new camera angle [from a looking diagonally down but you can see all the top of it and it is all in the camera shot] and there is another great camera shot; the Megazord holding the Power Sword [the viewers can see the Power Sword and this monster, the easiest way for me to describe this would be using this terminology from the realm of computer games first-person shooter.]

Comedy level: Bulk & Skull have this "B" words scene [involving the 5 Power Rangers in their civilian attire] and this scene before the closing credits these two individuals receives assistance [involving the 6 Power Rangers in their civilian attire.]

This episode receives: 10/10, the viewers have a lot to see and to experience from watching this episode that after everything is said and done or to be more precise towards the ending stages I settled on this mark.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 50: Return of an Old Friend: Part II by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 50: Return of an Old Friend: Part II by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is highly entertaining

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Moral message: the storyline hits the ground running and a character/performer gets a short-term narrative to complete this mission, but here's the thing it won't just be his life on the line [I will leave it there just because I don't want to give too much away.] The moral message is this "Because we're divorced it doesn't mean we don't love you, we will always love you."

Artistic visions/Action sequences: on both counts these two points give this episode so much; be it this water fountain or individually these two Zords [heads/ faces] coming up from behind these landscapes or this character/performer and Goldar resuming their personal rivalry even though we have a small audience [Baboo & Squatt] and on top of that the Putties/Putty Patrollers get summoned as well and there is this red and pink rays attack from the sky that hits everyone in this location.

Comedy level: Bulk & Scull start this food fight

This episode receives: 10/10, now after watching this episode this season is in an excellent position to keep this momentum going until the end of the season which if you don't know there is just 10 episodes left, let's see if they can keep it between the 7 mark or higher for the rest of this season

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 49: Return of an Old Friend: Part I by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 49: Return of an Old Friend: Part I by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is excellent.

5 things about this episode

Back stories/Storyline: the viewers get two elements on this monster, the first is without using the Viewing Globe and the second one is where The Power Rangers in their civilian attire are looking at the Viewing Globe, moving on to the storyline Billy has a short-term narrative to complete this mission [I will leave it there, because I don't want to give too much away.] The storyline on one hand it has a lot happening and on the other hand this is one of those episodes where it has been designed to set down the ground level work for not only this episode, but also the next episodes [I haven't seen the next episodes yet so I could be wrong only time will tell if I am wrong or right about this; but I am having an educated guess here by saying; the next episode should be more hard-hitting action based, I am not saying that this episode doesn't have action in it, because it does, but what I am saying is they can focus on other things and leave the storyline to take care of itself.

Comedy level: here is something for you to look out for; watch out for the flying cake

Artistic visions/Action sequences: the artistic visions are highly imaginative as we have the regular camera angles mixed with fresh camera angles of the Dinozords individually or together and there was also a fresh coming together sequence of the Megazord goes from sitting down to standing up and yes we have scenes of carnage which are always good to see. Moving on to the action sequences these themselves have good variety to them be it inside Rita's Dark Dimension or the rise of an old friend

This episode receives: 8/10, as I have already said this episode is excellent

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 48: Plague of the Mantis by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 48: Plague of the Mantis by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good.

5 things about this episode

Back stories/Storyline: the viewers get two back stories on this monster in this episode, the first one is where The Power Rangers in their civilian attire get given this information via Alpha 5 and looking at the Viewing Globe and then later on after Jason/The Red Power Ranger ask's Trini/The Yellow Power Ranger she says what this monster is doing, Trini has a narrative which at some point or another will include other characters/performers [Master Lee or Ernie or this monster with or without Putties/Putty Patrollers or a dialogue exchange with Zordon's voice over her wrist communicator,] yes she joins up and breaks off from the other Power Rangers in their civilian attire or they join her as The Power Rangers in this episode and the storyline settles down quickly as it knows what it wants to do and gets on with it.

Character developments/Action sequences: they have been specifically designed for her as it relates to the character developments or it has a lot to do with Trini or Trini/The Yellow Power Ranger as it relates to the action sequences.

Comedy level: Bulk & Skull come up with this new style of martial arts.

This episode receives: 6/10, this episode is solidly good and there is always something happening

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 47: Reign of the Jellyfish by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 47: Reign of the Jellyfish by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is mixed.

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Back stories/Moral message: the storyline is okay, the back stories come to us via putting these items into this time capsule and there is this back story on this monster via Zordon's dialogue exchanges with The Power Rangers. Moving on to the moral message The Power Rangers in their civilian attire talk about what the future could be like [just to cover my back this scene has been presented as a moral message thing.]

Comedy level/Character developments: now we have Bulk & Skull making this very long sandwich on one hand it is funny and on the other hand it shows that these two have pride in their accomplishment [the ending section of this episode.]

This episode receives: 5/10, yes this episode does have a couple of more engagable components to it, but I had reached between 3 to 5 things about an episode and on top of that I couldn't leave Bulk & Skull out of this review, but whatever I put in this episode review, this mark was always going to be the outcome.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 46: To Flea or Not to Flee by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 46: To Flea or Not to Flee by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good.

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Character developments/Blooper: this storyline is good and at some point The Power Rangers in their civilian attire go into separate individual or pairs short-term narratives. Now moving on to the character developments and the blooper, this is one of those situations where we have a coin but two different sides of it, on one hand these Putties/Putty Patrollers get infected from Jason; good character developments. But when Kimberly/The Pink Power Ranger and Billy/The Blue Power Ranger touches Jason/The Red Power Rangers' arm they are not infected [to cover my back I think they are touching the infected arm, I am either going to be 100% right or 100% wrong on this and they are touching it on separate occasions.] Basically the Power Rangers in their civilian attire/the audience are told by Zordon that in a nutshell if anyone should touch this infected area they will get it as well, I mean without giving too much away Bulk & Skull came into contact with this monster via this dog and they got infected so why didn't Kimberly and Billy?

Artistic visions/Action sequences: there is a dog in this episode; he looks friendly and sweet, now this is a little bit specific if you look in the background in the scene where Jason and Kimberly come across this monster and before they morph, there is this interesting formation in the sky and on both counts now the artistic visions and the action sequences as it relates to the Megazord battling this monster these camera shots/angles are closer to the action which means the viewers can get a better feeling for the action sequences themselves.

This episode receives: 6/10, this episode is one of those episodes that is reliably good.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 45: Crystal of Nightmares by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 45: Crystal of Nightmares by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is mixed.

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Back stories: the storyline is okay and the back stories come to us via mental imagery from previous episodes/nightmares [minus Bulk & Skull and their nightmares.]

Character developments: so this is where/when the viewers find out that without self-confidence The Power Rangers cannot access their powers, it took this TV program 45 episodes to point this out, to cover my back yes I have seen this episode throughout the years, but I cannot remember everything about everything I watch and it would explain why they spend so long on this element in the film title Power Rangers 2017 and to continue covering my back it is something to this effect in this film title of what I remember.

Comedy level/Bloopers: Bulk & Skull have good comedy scenes in this episode [involving Mr. Kaplan in two scenes.] Moving on to the bloopers now we have the Power Rangers in their civilian attire talking/listening to Zordon/saying dialogue and they are speaking at a normal volume [unknown to them Bulk & Skull are under a bed a sleep,] so what you're telling me here is they heard absolutely none of this situation and on top of that The Power Rangers are right next to a door, so if anyone was on the outside of this closed door may be to walk in or listening in or  walking passed could have heard any of this [in the interest of fairness and balance I wouldn't have discussed the door if Bulk & Skull wasn't in this room, but as I was here I was thinking I would bring it up.]

But I have more we have the Megazord delivering the/it's final blow [with the Power Sword] to Goldar & Scorpina yet there is no destruction or explosion [once again may be in fairness and balance and speculation, because I don't know; the Power Sword is strong enough to take just one enemy down at one time,] so because there are two enemies and one strike this Sword isn't strong enough to take them both down permanently, what can I say I'm just trying to put out a balanced review here and yes Goldar & Scorpina were fine after this.

This episode receives: 5/10, this mark is a fair outcome.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 44: Lions & Blizzards by AverageMansReviews

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers [Season 1,] Episode 44: Lions & Blizzards by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good.

5 things about this episode

Storyline/Back story/Moral messages: The Power Rangers in their civilian attire get split down into two groups by Jason and later on Zack has his own little narrative, the back story gets shown [by The Viewing Globe] and told by Zordon of this monster moving on to the moral messages there is a little bit about "Team work" and "You don't need a trophy to know your winter."

Artistic visions/Action sequences: on both counts these two elements offer this episode so much; like this monster is something the ThunderCats 1985 TV program would be proud of; based on his appearance and abilities/skills for one example using a log to attack The Power Rangers [just to cover my back in the future, if you should watch this episode all I'm going to say is work with me here, that is what I think they are meant to be and yes on top of that the ThunderCats 1985 is animated whilst this is live-action but still work with me here.]

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode gets better the more you watch of it; it does feel like they could have got two episodes [back to back] with this monster.

Review Time: this episode is good.

5 things about this episode

Origin storyline/Moral messages: the origin storyline is where Billy with mental imagery and voice-over tells us and Kimberly [shows us,] the origins of his fear and the moral messages they range from "Safety first" to "At least they are cleaning up the environment" to "Face your fears" [I know two out of these three are little elements but let's not split hairs too much shall we.]

Comedy level: Bulk & Skull [involving The Power Rangers in their civilian attire in one way or another] have good comedy scenes in this episode.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: on both counts these two elements are good; for two examples of the action sequences; Kimberly does a double dropkick onto a Putty/Putty Patroller; a little later in the same sequence of events this Putty/Putty Patroller prevents a Kimberly kick by holding her leg but instead she does this flip backwards. Moving on to the artistic visions we get to see some of the Power Rangers in this scuba diving equipment swimming around and watching this monster exit and enter the water and how he shoots out this dangerous substance from his mouth; these are also good and creative.

This episode receives: 6/10, I don't have too much to say here; besides once again this episode is good and this seems a good point to remind you that I only discuss between 3 to 5 things about an episode, just so that I don't tell you everything and it gives me a little bit of variety to work with within these blogs.
