Match Total: 38/60 - this match is good

Comments: the match outlay/match slot outlay is chaotic with or without the ceremonial entrances of everyone involved in some capacity. I have some questions why is Finkel reading the entrance to Martin? [If he has visual issues I apologise] he has glasses on, but to make sure am not being harsh I will apologise again. Moving on why is Liberace there? I know he is meant to be the special guest timekeeper which gets to ring the ring bell at the beginning and at the end of this match, which the normal timekeeper does this anyway yes you rings the bell and then Liberace has this small handbell in his hands and rings it [ which we the viewers can hear it and people nearby can probably hear it, but because of the crowd being electrifying this bell would be as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Monsoon comments or questions a tags at one point or another in this match, next we have Piper's trio leaving and then coming back; Monsoon exert there is no escape from this one folks, this is for all the marbles." Which this got me thinking “So the WWF championship is on the line? No I thought not so how can it be for all the marbles then if at the very least the WWF Championship is not on the line? By the way just for the record I am absolutely fine with this match the way it is, I just don't like this; how can it be for all the marbles it's not like the WWF, Intercontinental or the WWF Tag Team Championships are on the line here.

There is a reason why I brought up about Monsoon these tags [before I continue I would have brought up about these tags regardless,] but in this case I have to ask why does Monsoon comment or question these tags when Piper uses this red chair Hogan and Monsoon doesn't say anything like "That is a disqualification right there. Yes with both referees seeing it with granted I have to give the possibility Patterson's vision may have been blocked by dealing with another situation, but then again this is purely speculation [but on closer inspection there is the possibility that Patterson saw this looking at a split-second wearing his head was looking down diagonally.] Ali definitely saw it as he was on top of the situation after it happened. But to be honest the only one that looked good after having this match is Mr. T. for anyone that wants to be a professional wrestler, just take look at this match and it will teach you/show you one lesson and that is this; you may not be the most technical wrestler or flashiest or enthusiastic or other. But my point is this; do/bring what you can to the table and do it well this is what precisely Mr. T. does, if he did wrestle much more frequently than what he did he could have been regarded as a workhorse [this wrestling terminology means; basically someone that is reliable in the ring nothing too fancy but the wrestling industry is built on these wrestlers.]

Background information: after this match; Monsoon and Venture look at the replays and discuss it, hand things over to Okerlund to get a interview with the winners of our main event; Okerlund sends it back to Monsoon and Venture to sign things off for this pay-per-view and we are left with ending credits and still photographs/pictures of this pay-per-view.

This Pay-Per-View receives: 6/10, this Pay-Per-View is good; I mean all things considered this is a fair outcome. I mean it doesn't have any poor or negative matches on this card as you will see it does have one mixed and the rest are positive, but the Hayes segments and the chaotic and messy main event also justify this marking more and finally the crowd deserve a quick mention for being there for this pay-per-view, I mean this in the context of they made this pay-per-view feel a big deal and I know it is and was, but the crowd didn’t disappoint in their participation, ranging from 6/10 to 10/10. You see this is why the WWF/WWE should have never consistently drummed into our heads that our voices do not matter when from beginning to end of this pay-per-view it clearly does matter.

The highest ranking match on this card based on attributes that we see would be: The Executioner vs. Tito Santana: Singles Match with 46/60.

The lowest ranking match on this card based on attributes that we see would be: Brutus Beefcake [with “Luscious" Johnny Valiant] vs. David Sammartino [with Bruno Sammartino:] Singles Match with 34/60.

Match Total: 41/60 - this match is good

Comments: this match/match slot is solidly good, Monsoon criticises the Referee [Dick Kroll] about him seeing or not seeing we Kai heel wrestling tactics of pulling the hair, I am loosely paraphrasing here; if you see it call, it if you don't don't worry about it but don't question Kai about it have. Manager cam in operation again firstly Lauper and then a little later Moolah. Now on listening/observation Finkel says the word Ladies Champion after this match but when the graphic it says Women's Champion I have even looked at the graphic just before this match kicks off it definitely says Women's, so what is going on here? Is it Ladies or Women's [ hence why I have decided to put both.] I mean even  Moolah gets colder a previous Ladies' Champion in her introduction, but she has never been a Ladies' Champion, but however she has been a 4x WWF Women's Champion. Yes this kind of thing if you haven't guessed all of not using Championships proper names at that specific time at the very least irritate me profusely and finally I need to highlight this; the crowd came through for this match/match slot hanging.

Basic Result: your new the WWF Ladies'/Women's Champion Wendi Richter [with Cyndi Lauper and David Wolf]

Background information: Monsoon and Venture look at/discuss the replay. Now this is purely speculation, but I can back it up with little bits of fact or coincidental fact at the very least. Now I do get the feeling that they are running out of air time to run this pay-per-view, just based on Monsoon tries to hand things to Okerlund, but he is not ready, so monsoon and Venture talk some more about what they have just seen and then Monsoon hand it to Okerlund so you can get a interview with the new the WWF Ladies'/Women's Champion and Lauper with Wolf and Captain Lou Albano in the shot; Okerlund sending things back to Monsoon and Venture; monsoon saying some more comments about this situation and then handing things over to Finkel to begin essentially the ceremony [if or when you come to watch this you will understand this better] for this main event. Finkel introduces the special guest ring announcer Billy Martin [I should kindly pointed out that Finkel becomes the oversteer of this ceremony as he begins to read the paper that Martin is reading; I know this because you can hear Finkel read it to him or for him and it just before this our special guest referee quietly sneaks into the ring and stand in the corner, it is Pat Patterson.]

Martin introduces special guest timekeeper Liberace with special guests The Rockettes, then our special guest referee outside of the ring Mohammed Ali.

Now the crowd were still hot from the previous match as in enthusiastic and loud which they have been up to this point the of all this ceremonial stuff, but for the next bit they go and turn on the heels which in a kayfabe sense you always want; they get loud boos with garbage being thrown into the ring;"Rowdy" Roddy Piper," Roddy Piper [possibly Attracting more heat or Piper giving someone a look, security quickly moved things on as they were making their way down to the ring] & “Dangerous Men Mr Wonderful" Paul Orndorff [with "Ace Cowboy" Bob Orton then we have the WWF Champion Hulk Hogan & Bad Man Mr. T. [with "SuperFly" Jimmy Snuka.]

Two final things; everyone receives security down to the ring here and the final thing is; you know when I said I think they were running out of time for this pay-per-view, we don't hear from Hayes; yes we see him as the WWF Champion, T. and Snuka make their entrance down to the ring from the back [Hayes is on the right hand side] but in the interest of fairness and balance this could have been the plan of how things were going to go down, but it does seem a little bit odd not to give him a little something to do at this point considering he has been doing it this entire pay-per-view up to this point, the more I think about it the more I think it is really weird, considering they could have pulled the plug on him much sooner just based on the stick he has been getting on this night from some of the locker room.

Comments: this match/match slot is good. First things first we have Monsoon calling this sports bag with the WWF acronym on/on each side which Stud carrying to the ring with $15,000 in it. But Monsoon calls it exert "A little WWF briefcase." We have manager cam back again as we keep that eye on Heenan's reaction to what is happening at that specific time.

This is very much a case of when you get these wrestling type together of two hasses [this wrestling terminology means an individual or in this case individuals that are large with a simple/nothing technical move set, but hard-hitting/power moves,] but however the crowd made this match/match slot feel like a big deal, I mean it is a big deal anyway, but you know what I'm trying to say the crowd participation is vitally important here based on the grounds as I have already referenced there is limited wrestling here so with the crowd participation being engaged and positive they very much cover up any weaknesses that this match/match slot has.

Basic Result: “The Eighth Wonder of The World “André the Giant picks up the W.

Background information: after this match; Monsoon and Ventura take a look and discuss the replay after this still talking about what they have just seen and then Monsoon sends it to Okerlund to get a live interview with The Giant and then Okerlund sends it back to Monsoon; Monsoon and Ventura are still talking about what they had seen and then Monsoon sends it to Hayes [which Hayes again begins talking before Monsoon finishes handing it over to him] to introduce the next be pre-recorded interviews Okerlund of the next match/match slot.

Now you know there is an ongoing theme of trying to put off Hayes as it relates to him reading these autocues and the wrestlers or on-screen characters being fed up or irritated with his monotone/robotic nature and yes usually I would say speculation ended still is speculation, but in this case it is bluntly obvious that they are trying to put him off talking about the first of our two rock and wrestling matches [for those younger people out there in Internet land this is and was a thing; in short this was the big boom in professional wrestling] but I digress; The Fantastic Moolah kisses him with him saying "Good gracious" the WWF Ladies'/Women's Champion Leilani Kai does the same as they are heading down and into the ring [Hayes trying to remain professional with Moolah's lipstick on him] he continues talking to them "Or good luck something like that. " So he sends us to these interviews we see Hayes being professional but cracking a smile.

After this we go from here to Finkel to do is thing with Wendi Richter with her manager Cyndi Lauper, David Wolf [Wendi Richter's normal manager] and another person jogging to the ring with security escort

Match Total: 45/60 - this match is good

Comments: this match/match slot is all good, this is speculation but I don't know whether everyone was informed that they had been given a very small match time of just under 7 minutes, on a quick side note I have just realised the previous match had the identical amount of time and the upcoming matches have a similar time and as well until the main event, I am just remembering this is why I chose this pay-per-view over the Christmas period, I wanted to do a big pay-per-view to get some content out; but hey, hey never mind.]

On reflection is Monsoon building up/promoting WrestleMania which I have no problem with, but I am not too keen on Venture saying this is just another excerpt " You have seen dead Super Bowls and World Series, but you definitely not seeing a dead WrestleMania." I get where he is coming from, but as this is the first WrestleMania we have nothing to compare it to.

We have the heel team performing this double team in their corner which doesn't go according to plan as The Sheik puts Windham in front of Volkoff, so they can immobilise Windham; Volkoff is standing on the apron holding Windham, The Sheik backs up to go in to perform this dropkick but Windham drops down and gets out of their corner, consequently Volkoff takes this dropkick and The Sheik is apologetic, this is a good piece of goofiness as the match continues, Monsoon quickly takes us to see this action will play of this double team going wrong and then quickly back to live action.

Basic Result: your new WWF Tag Team Champions The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff [with "The Hollywood Fashion Plate" Freddie Blassie]

Background information: after this match; we have Monsoon and Venture taking a look/discussing the action replay and then Monsoon talks more about what we have just seen he tries to bring Venture into the conversation he was getting ready to say something, but before he does Monsoon hands things over to Okerlund to get a live interview with the new WWF Tag Team Champions and their manager after that Okerlund sends things back to Monsoon with him still talking about the injustice with Venture and claiming there was blood squirting somewhere out of The Sheik, on a replay it is just coming out of his far hand second finger knuckle [on another replay without giving too much away and this is just speculation, it's quite easy to see how this may have happened, because The Sheik does something very hard and maybe a shard could have rebounded, but on the upside this match outlay does what it is designed to do, without anyone looking weak.] Monsoon sends things to Hayes with him not getting distracted by anyone or anything in short, still looking as if he is reading an autocue introduces the pre-recorded video package Okerlund with Big John Stud and his manager Bobby " The Brain" Heenan talking about this upcoming match on this pay-per-view next Career VS. $15,000 Body Slam Challenge with "The Eighth Wonder of The World"André The Giant; additional where if André can't body slam, meaning Stud just has to last until the match time expires, André must retire, but if he does body slam Stud he gets $15,000. Okerlund sending things back to Monsoon once again talking about how brilliant WrestleMania is/has been and once again Venture putting the same sports from earlier under the bus with Stud and Heenan heading into the ring with Monsoon handing things over to Finkel to do his thing with him explaining the rules of this match then The Giant heading down with the same security used throughout this pay-per-view for wrestlers and on-screen characters and into the ring.

Comments: the match layout/match slot layout is one of those that is safe and reliable, meaning yes you can have slight variations of it; of someone coming down to the ring to point out either the injustice or another Referee comes down to the ring or something like that. But anyway you choose to do it; it does what it is designed to do by keeping both of these competitors looking strong either as Heel or Babyface and on top of that you get a crowd responds/participation.

Basic Result: Junkyard Dog picks up the W.

Background information: after this match; we have Monsoon and Venture taking a look/discussing the action replay and then Monsoon highlighting the Champions advantage in situations like this one, then he sends us back to Hayes; to introduce the next pre-recorded interviews/to build up the next match [back where we originally had them not in front of the WWF acronym] but whilst Hayes is doing this yet again we have "The Hollywood Fashion Plate" Freddie Blassie with his team of The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff with their big flags into and coming across the camera shot as Hayes is trying to read this autocue or whatever and to be honest this occasion looks genuine as in they are genuinely just coming through to get to the ring, but on the other hand and this is based on speculation mixed in with a little bit of fact this would be the third time that an act has at the very least tried to put off Hayes from doing his segment, but this time this one seems comical as I have already made reference to this tag team have big flags, so you can see them blocking Hayes vision momentarily with Hayes trying to remain professional without breaking on-screen character you can see him ever so slightly having to readjust, but then keeps it together. This is speculation again but I wonder if the locker room had a running joke, to just try and put off Hayes in some way, just because throughout this pay-per-view as I have made reference to he seems to be reading this autocue or something and I am just wondering if they had got fed up with his monotone segments, I should just point out these acts could have walked behind him, quietly through the camera shot like Steamboat does after his match and not in front of him into the camera shot, so as you can see this is speculation, but mixed in with observation.

Okerlund has an interview segment with The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff with "The Hollywood Fashion Plate" Freddie Blassie [Okerlund; has a slip of the tongue when he talks to Volkoff by calling him Comy-apologies if I have misspelt that, but quickly apologises and says, Comrade/this pay-per-view screening comes up; whilst Okerlund is still talking/moving on to Captain Lou Albano with his tag team the WWF Tag Team Champions The U.S. Express [Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo.] Then we this graphic of this match, you know the one that they have been using throughout this pay-per-view. Then we have Finkel doing his thing introducing these No1 Contenders with their manager, already receiving a hostile reception from this crowd, this foreign Heel tag team encourage it more by either doing their usual Heel stick it relates to Volkoff singing the national anthem of The Soviet Union [things being thrown into the ring] or/and The Sheik saying this on the Russia number one, Iran number one, USA [goes through this spitting motion.]

The WWF Tag Team Champions The U.S. Express [Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo with Captain Lou Albano] receiving police or/and security protection as they enter and go down to the ring with the entrance music playing, like when the Junkyard Dog made his entrance.

Like the Dog's the crowd are going crazy for this tag team and their manager with Monsoon highlighting this on commentary as well with "Madison Square Garden are on their feet."Finkel seems to be having technical problems with his microphone introducing the WWF Tag Team Champions and their manager, the microphone cuts out and back in again after Finkel does do a little something to it. This is just an excerpt; Monsoon makes a reference to this by saying "Formalities just out of the way with"

Match Total: 34/60 - this match is mixed

Comments: we have what I will call manager watch, we have these squares on screen of these competitors managers watching individually and the commentary team talking about it, followed by good quality wrestling and the commentary team treating it as a real sport, instead of predetermined kayfabe [to be fair the commentary team do this from the very start of this match/match slot anyway.] Beefcake performs this back body drop on David Sammartino; David seems to not go off straight and not get enough left off Beefcake ongoing up and over so consequently this looks sloppy as he goes over with a bump [in the interest of fairness and balance Beefcake to get out of a wrestling move uses his ring attire to get out of this wrestling hold, so as it relates to here and now Monsoon goes with the narrative of this is just an excerpt; "Sammartino gets thrown in and back body drop for his  troubles still blinded I'm sure" [Monsoon a little later makes another reference to David's vision.] Beefcake sends David into the top right from the bottom left corner of the ring and I know I am not an expert on things in an outside of the ring as it relates to wrestling as I have already made reference to or the actual ring itself, but I still have my hearing and based on my hearing this top right section doesn't sound right as in after this match someone might want to run some repairs on it and no I am not being too picky here, when or if you come to watch this match you can clearly hear something; someone might want to take a look at.

Now as I was saying ; this match is/was shaping up to be another solidly good match I do stress was, but as you can see from the marking something happened which can be seen as one in the same as it relates to positive and a negative; generally speaking we have this rumble involving these two participants and their managers which on a positive the crowd participation goes nuts [but as it relates to the match/match slot it gets 8/10,] but on a negative it affects the Basic Result of this match which you will soon find out, but I would have preferred to have a better outcome, even if it was a dusty finish would have been more satisfying [Beefcake picks up the win,] but more speculation I don't know if they had something downlines later on, but a dusty finish would have still justified the potential for something down the line anyway or they just wanted to protect these two competitors as the commentary team Nearer to the beginning of this match basically talking about a loss here loser here and the potential ramifications of that.

Basic Result: I know I have indicated this result in some way, but I still have to do the admin; Draw

Background information: after this match; Monsoon and Venture take a look at the recap of elements of this match and then we go back to live footage of this father and son leaving and then we see a picture of a crowd and the wrestling ring with voice over from both commentators talking about what has just taken place and previous event on this pay-per-view as it relates to Bundy and then back onto this previous match/match slot.

If this was a live event on TV it feels like they took a break here and then came back with Monsoon sending us to Hayes [where even before Monsoon has finished handing it over to him; you can clearly hear him starting this segment; but speculation someone must have told him not yet, because he starts again.] Can someone please stop hanging Hayes out to dry here, I am not even getting on his back but clearly see he is really uncomfortable with all of this as he is still reading this off autocue or cue cards or something to that effect where previously; "Luscious" Johnny Valiant with Beefcake walking across into the shot and telling Hayes "Hey wake up will you."  this time we have "Mouth of The South" Jimmy Hart with the Intercontinental Champion Valentine doing basically the same thing but with one difference as he walks across into the shot he laughs fairly close to Hayes's face [on the right-hand side] as they walk down and to the ring [but this could be all speculation again as Hart is being in kayfabe and he does clap as to build up his guy Valentine] but then again with Hayes having this look on his face or more specifically in his eyes to go " I wish they would stop doing that." As he carries on but gets cut off by these pre-recorded comments he is trying to introduce with Okerlund, Hart, Valentine and Dog involved in the next match/match slot.

We go back to Monsoon with World Wrestling Federation insert name vs insert name with Inter-Continental heavyweight Championship Monsoon hands things over to Finkle so he can do his thing; Dog's entrance music hits with coming out with Dog meeting up with police escort/security role and I don't know about the other personal he could be police or security or other, he just isn't in uniform of what I can see Dog is being treated like a rock star as he is walking down to the ring as the crowd goes wild. .

Match Total: 41/60 - this match is good.

Comments: this is another solidly good match. The crowd are still there for this match, but generally speaking, it does feel like they have taken this time to have a rest, but Let's be positive as I have already said they are still here for this match. Blooper; Steamboat performs this top turnbuckle high cross body, but Venture calls it a "Flying tackle à la Jimmy."

Basic Result: I know I have slightly indicated who goes over here but; admin is admin. Ricky Steamboat picks up the W.

Background information: after this match; Monsoon and Venture taking a look and discussing the replay; Monsoon sends it back to Finkel to get the official word and then Monsoon hands things to Hayes and he still looks like; he is reading things off an autocue or something like that, this is where I should point out performers or on-screen characters have been walking behind him, well that was until now. "Luscious" Johnny Valiant manager of Beefcake with both of them heading down to the ring. Speculation on my part but however I can easily back it up with fact and yes I know these two individuals are Heels. But when you come to watch this; you will get to see and feel that this isn't kayfabe here. As Hayes is talking about this match and you see this shadow of Valiant getting more and more noticeable on Hayes' clothing; Valiant walks deliberately in passing into the camera shot with Beefcake and clearly says full disclosure the ending of this comment is potentially speculation as he and Beefcake were passing through on their way to the ring and he was still talking; "Hey wake up will you." In the direction of Hayes, but I have to say that he isn't wrong, Hayes whenever we get sent to him; he seems to be very robotlike reading these things on cue cards or autocue or whatever.

But Hayes just continues to amble along with that he sends it back to Okerlund with these pre-recorded comments building up the next match, which would be David Sammartino [with real life his father Bruno Sammartino] vs. Brutus Beefcake [with "Luscious" Johnny Valiant.]

We go to Finkel he is doing his thing; I am just noticed as these are pre-recorded promos everyone has changed their clothing or ring attire as far as I can tell anyway, as we have Bruno and David jogging to the ring which the crowd giving a standing ovation so says Monsoon on commentary; Monsoon and Venture briefly discuss this father and son and then move on to talk about possibility of Valiant and Beefcake being father and son as well over this conversation [This is just an excerpt: Monsoon: "I doubt that very much." we also have this World Wrestling Federation insert name here vs. insert name here and then they move on to talk about the crowd and this pay-per-view and main event.
