Warning/Disclaimer: there will be flashing effects/colourful effects/rainbow community component/reference to bodily functions and there will be slightly censored adult language references in this content. Disclaimer: I am not referring to a section of our society as cult I am just talking about how it looks and feels like in this project, but then again in the current world we live in I can't help it if some of you get triggered by what I say.

Well this is just propaganda, rainbow community, virtual signalling, horse manure!: Briefly; we meet Martha [Josephina Hauler-Davies:] a 23-year-old disabled individual [severe level of cerebral palsy;] that is a lesbian and she takes us partly through a day of her life involving but not limited to going on a date.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script is only 6 minutes long, but incredibly so damaging to my community of disabled people and for those people that don't know I have a severe level of cerebral palsy myself, so before I receive any backlash; this is very much a case of I know what I am talking about, so if you're going to come at me, make sure you have some idea of what you're talking about at minimum, because I will probably hand your posterior to you on a silver platter within about 2 minutes, I mean I could probably do it in 20 seconds; but I like to give people a sporting chance.

Firstly the whole concept of waking up in this manner of everything is going to be okay today is just a false narrative, when in reality and I do stress in reality which this film seems to be placed in a fantasy world where everyone's dumps come out like candy floss and being happy will get you through every day and we can go to bed having a fulfilling life without too much difficulty; other than worrying about if someone likes me, having access to a venue or/and having problems with a sign that doesn't fully cater to your specific inclusivity.

I mean wow if these were just my problems on a day-to-day basis maybe I could produce a dump out of candy floss to; but from the age of 16 to as of this content being first created in my 40s; dealing with bills, politics and bureaucracy of this standard of life, rejection of any kind as it relates to my disability, mental health - depression, lack of genitals size and/or literally anything else.

Can I just say even in 2026 which trust me when I say 1986, 2026 or any time in the future if you have assistant is required issues of any kind, it is up to the disabled individual in question to telephone up way beforehand or/and do some research on the place in question, basically don't be a complete vagina head and just presume or/and even if they tell you on the phone everything will be fine, until you have gone through the routine once presume nothing.

The fact that she is 23 years old and finds this all the annoying... is completely beyond me based on the grounds when I was 23 years old I was already a seasoned veteran and somewhat she finds a rainbow sign offensive because it says something to the effect of "We Stand Together" or something to this sentiment, but what is important here is she doesn't like the words "Stand." Because that doesn't fully include her; And? Seriously And? At the age of 23 you might want to consider growing up if this is problematic for you...

The fact that by the end of this propaganda piece of manure everything works out right is nauseating really fudgin' nauseating, because it pains an unrealistic reality on average of a disabled person's life, so much so that throughout my life I have had to combat this false narrative of because someone has a support network, that doesn't mean to say every disabled person has a support network or/and a good one at that, so I had to deal with comments like; but you have your family behind you. Wrong, but you have good friends behind you. Wrong, but there is someone out there forever one, you just have to look. Wrong. You have lots of money because of your disability. Wrong; in a nutshell they give you enough money to survive and the more I think about it, the more I think this project just reinforces stereotypes so that so-called normal people can just use them as defence cliches, as to escape from a potentially uncomfortable situation and avoid actually getting to know the real person behind the disability or illness or other and maybe come to the realisation that the public perception about disabled people broadly speaking having an easy life on benefits is 100% false and those that push is narrative are in essence financially gaining from the aspect of; if we take more benefits away from the most vulnerable which in essence is much easier instead of going after the wealthy, because we hold the purse strings of the benefits system and not forgetting they can't fight back.

Character developments, performances and voice performances; in conjunction with everything I have said so far; these character types are incredibly weak in fact a pile of manure would be a much better description; yet again they are highly unrealistic as everything has the order of even though things go wrong in the end everything is alright; as you can probably guess this is the biggest issue I have with this project, to the point where I am getting infuriated by ignorance.

Because I have been disabled for 40+ years at this point and those of a significant disability or illness or other would agree with me on some level at minimum; there are two types of disabled or ill or others; there are those that deliberately live in sheltered life or you have someone like me that lives between two worlds the normal world and the disabled/others and yes there are those that need to be protected from the real world for their own good.

But by and large as this film shows live in a sheltered life where everything is safe and what I can see there are no major threats or disagreements or anything to upset the fragile nature of this landscape/mentality is a dangerous way to live a life as they don't learn skills to deal with things or deal with any kind of negativity and/or someone so forth so the whole character developments, I believe it to be highly dangerous for this project to float the idea that for an example if I was a member of the rainbow community on any on any level that I would be entitled to this level of support and safety, which let’s call it for what it is shall we; implications to coercive behaviour strategy;as in do you think the selection of people would make this effort for anyone else outside of their community? Hell no, so it kind of implies that join us and you will feel respected, heard and wanted; if you wanted to make some elements of the rainbow community sound like a cult; good job here, just the record I am saying it sound like it; I am not saying it is and finally the performances and voice performances are poorly acted on any level or any form as well.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; now the person I watch some of this content also had the unfortunate mishap to see this project as well and as we are two salty veterans as it comes to this lifestyle; they said and I am paraphrasing here; that it was embarrassing and I just went with it was manure.

I must get back to Earth: briefly; Victor Perkins [voice by Jason Segel:] he is a long-term rival of Felonious Gru and finds himself on the moon, he sets to work to get back to earth and this short project follows his attempts to achieve this. Meanwhile he is also joined by Stuart/Kevin/Bob [voiced by Pierre Coffin:] without giving too much away Stuart takes the easier approach to getting home and yes even offers its to Perkins.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing is good and straightforward as it only has roughly 9 minutes to work with.

Art, comedy, action, character developments and voice performances; as always from this franchise the art is highly engaging and easy to settle down with. The comedy and action mimic of something like out of Looney Tunes; Wile E. Coyote as in project Perkins in theory has all of these great ideas including his technical support, but likewise as in practice Perkins has a similar success rate as Coyote catching the Road Runner. For a brief example in this project; I like the old slingshot idea that Perkins has; in a nutshell he makes his suit have longer arms wrap them around some rocks and basically back up and say goodbye to the moon and then slingshot back to earth in theory; but in practice this does not happen and finally the character developments and the performances are all good.

This film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; the only disappointing thing about this project is when this content was first dictated it has no awards accredited to it and based on my viewing experience, I would think it would get at least one from somewhere for being either animatedly pleasing or/and comical, in fact on reflection I have decided to award another mark, just because I like this style of comedy of you have this character trying to achieve something and as I have already indicated in theory it works, but in practice you may get a different result or results; based on how many times you try one thing, but then again full disclosure I have always loved Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote and likewise Tom, Jerry and Spike [the Dog;] individual shtick anyway.

Keep off my side of land: Donald Duck [voiced by Clarence Nash] is a Beekeeper/Honey Farmer of his own business [D. Duck Honey Farm] which is very productive, but however it is right next to Brownstone National Park which is ran by Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore [voiced by Bill Thompson] which keeps an eye on these bears, one in particular Humphrey the Bear [voiced by James MacDonald] which is a very mischievous bear, because he is always trying to get the honey.

The pacing for this roughly speaking 7 minutes film is excellent, as there is always something happening. For an example because a bear is in disguise as a Beekeeper/Honey Farmer [Humphrey the Bear] walks in to Donald's Honey Farm on his back legs, so when Donald and Humphrey acknowledge each other by pleasantries such as good morning; like this is an everyday occurrence, it quickly hits Donald it is Humphrey. On the penny dropping Donald rumbles this game; one of these two things happen simultaneously these bees chase Humphrey out of this location down to this nearby pond, Humphrey dives in, quickly pops up again to take some oxygen in and then makes this underwater weed into a straw so he can breathe until these bees have gone. Meanwhile Donald marches to go and see Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore in this National Park, a little bit more specifically in his cabin to give him a mouthful.

Because of this we have this sequence where we have these bears doing this police line-up; identity parade [it is designed with keeping within the outdoors nature of this project, so it fits in nicely] on the stage with lights off and with this height chart behind them, so Donald goes down this line-up; this is just a some examples of the comedy which is likewise with the art as well easy to settle down with and finally the voice performances are excellent.

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; as I have already outlined in this review; it has a straightforward premise with Humphrey the Bear doing his best to get his hands on this honey.

This may be the first film from Walt Disney, but it is all a bit weird: yes I know it was a different world back then so I am not being woke, I am just simply saying it is all a bit weird. We have these characters in this project at one point or another Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Peg-Leg Pete and Parrot [all voiced by Walt Disney] and other characters [other animals] on this steamboat and the pacing for this roughly 7 minute film is there is always something happening so from a foundation level it knows what it is doing and it sticks to plan.

But I digress; slightly later on in this film, because this goat had ate Minnie Mouse's violin and music book Mickey Mouse comes up with the idea to play it like a an old record player [the ones that you needed to turn the handle to make it play] which Minnie does after Mickey shaped him out so Minnie can make this goat tale go round and round consequently these musical notes will come out of its mouth, whilst Mickey  goes around using other things and animals to make music out of.

Yes this project is black-and-white and likewise a little bit weird for an example Mickey's torso get stretched out by Peg-Leg Pete it is very similar to Play-Doh, so Mickey just gathers it up and put it back in his shorts thus pulling himself back together again.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good: I mean generally speaking this mark is a fair outcome in my opinion, I like to the black-and-white, but the animation is good, easy to settle down with if just a little bit weird and this project has an award winner credit to its name; National Film Preservation Board, USA 1998; National Film Registry.

This match is heard around news outlets: on one side of the fence we have Pete [voiced by Billy Bletcher] with his big dog Muncey [voiced by Pinto Colvig] as they have a new neighbour moving in next door Donald Duck [voiced by Clarence Nash] and this short film has Narrator and breaking-the-fourth-wall talking to Donald Duck [voiced by Alan Reed.]

Because this project is roughly only 7 minutes long, the pacing is free-flowing and likewise with the art is easy to settle down with. Now if you don't know anything about these two characters in Pete and Donald individually or in this case together they are notoriously known for being short tempered and antagonistic either knowingly or unknowingly, as you will see if you give Pete a pinch of kindness he will empty out your or Donald's fridge.

Sooner or later things will come to a head like two stags butting heads; so in a nutshell Pete's first attack is to cut a branch off this tree due to it violating the property line, so in retaliation Donald cuts Pete's pyjama bottoms which are blowing in the wind on his washing apparatus [it isn't the standard washing line that is all I am trying to say here] yes this apparatus is on his property, but the pyjama bottoms are violating the property line because they are blowing over the property line so Donald cuts them and finally excellent voice performances

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; this project may be a short but it has so much happening in it, the only shame about this project is that it has no awards credited to its name whatsoever and for it highly engaging art and imagination as it relates to its content you would have thought they would have been at least been a nominee for a category somewhere at some awards event/ceremony at some point down the line, I mean it is very unlikely to now, but as long as the earth is still spinning on it access, there is always time.

Your late Mickey Mouse: as this project is roughly 7 minutes long, consequently the pacing is designed just to move quickly and efficiently, let's move on; so Mickey Mouse [voiced by Walt Disney] and his loyal and date saving dog Pluto [voiced by Pinto Colvig] as they have both asleep, suddenly the telephone goes off; it is Minnie Mouse [voiced by Ruth Clifford] to find out where Mickey is because he is late for their date, so he rushes to meet her in a panic.

This project is very easy to settle down with, the art/animation is warm and welcoming as for an example we have Pluto asleep and in a dream bubble he is dreaming about him having a bone.

Mickey is looking sharp for his date with Minnie when he leaves his house, but what a shame when he meets her he has gone through a less than straightforward journey to get there [Mickey hayling for a cab and instead of it stopping for him; it drives through a puddle so Mickey gets read] to get their quickly, but don't worry he is able to still pull it off because Minnie pointing out what a cute costume he has on with Mickey basically going in with the attitude of yes I meant to come out like this.

This film receives: 8/10, this is excellent; the only thing I didn't like in this project was this tall hat sequence with Pluto; Pluto goes to pick it up with his teeth and for some strange reason it ducks out of the way so it does this sequence of every time Pluto goes in for it moves somehow out of the way. I mean it would have made better sense if a window was open and every time Pluto went to pick it up a gust of wind would blow it to a different place; I mean this I can get and understand

The Rematch from: The Tortoise and the Hare 1935 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2020/10/the-tortoise-and-hare-1935-by.html but this time things will be settled in a boxing ring so in one corner we have Champion Max Hare [voice by Ned Norton] and in the other we have Toby Tortoise [Eddie Holden] and we also have the three Girl Bunnies back from the previous project as well [voice by Alyce Ardell,Marcellite Garner and Leone Le Doux; just to cover my back Girl Bunny would be their character names.]

This project goes on for roughly 7 minutes the storyline and the pacing is something safe and reliable, but it very much is a template of its predecessor obviously the change of sports from running to boxing brings a whole new comedy potential [but what I mean is it does it in the same tone] from the perspective of character developments, action and comedy.

I mean Max Hare is still so very arrogant, I mean if you want to go that way fair enough, but there are absolutely no signs of growth or learning from his previous encounter with Toby Tortoise, you know give me a sign that he has learnt something but no that is not the case here. So as I have already made reference to we have him not taking this boxing match at all seriously by using his speed to quickly get around his opponent and taking the time to laugh at his opponent with three girl bunnies or talking to the emergency service bunnies with him taking his paws out of his boxing gloves whilst his boxing gloves are still punching to tell them not now and paws/arms gesture of calling it/them off then going back to boxing and then going back to the three girl bunnies.

But in the interest of fairness and balance Toby Tortoise is a bit weird as all these animals seem to like this high society bird character Jenny Wren [voice by Martha Wentworth] these two characters come in contact in the real world when Toby Tortoise lands on her lap and she says "I like a guy that takes his time" with him replying "You do. Gee." With him getting up and giving off the attitude of he is really going to try and win now as it implies if he win this fight at the very least he might get more of her attention or more he might have sexual intercourse with her or a relationship, so he gets back in the ring. [You know this short project is meant for kids?; There is sexual undertone here as well just in case you were wondering if I was reaching here she is seductive character in the way that she speaks and I am smart enough to know this was a very different world back then.]

But that isn't the weird part when Toby Tortoise gets knocked down we see what is thought processes and he has a Sultan or a wealthy individual from this part of the world being served or/and dancers of Jenny Wren this question of “How you doing Toby-Woby?”

This film receives: 2/10, this film is poor; well there is no character developments as it relates to Max Hare as I have already referenced and is the predecessor has/had supremely much better content of action and comedy as it relates to a variety and I may as well add this again this entire Toby and Jennifer thing is weird, I have an open mind but this is just weird and yes we never find out if anything happens between these two characters.

All round to Moe's Tavern: because this is a short film project [roughly 5 minutes long] I will keep this short. It is Disney+'s Anniversary and we have a selection of Disney properties having a party at Moe's Tavern.

Now be it The Simpsons or Disney they are individually or together made a legacy reputation of outstanding, easy to settle down with art/animation so obviously this is going to be incredibly easy to settle down with as we so much to see and experience in such a short amount of time, for an example what with these characters mingling in this project or in these still pictures when the ending credits. For an example of a character you will see at some point in this project; BB-8 [from the Star Wars Universe.]

In one way or another The Simpsons yet again poke fun at Disney there is one based around how Donald Duck speaks.

But I can talk about this We also have this musical number from Lisa Simpson [voiced/sung by Yeardley Smith] in her usual clothing then switches to a princess costume where she basically highlights this is just a basic description; what Disney+ can offer you [I know this is not the only time that they make reference to what they can offer you Maleficent [voiced by Tress MacNeille] Sleeping Beauty 1959 version does it as well but she did it in the context of if you name is not on the list you're not coming in, but I digress] if your kids are driving you crazy put them in front of the TV, Disney stockholders and the automatic renewal.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is lots of fun; this is of the usual incredibly high standards of The Simpsons. I decided to go with Moe's full place name, I was thinking I would quickly address that be for a received any comeback. But as things stand this project has no awards credited to its name which is the only thing missing.

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Sound effect performances, Art, Action Comedy: all these components combined in one way or another; now because this project roughly goes on for 3 minutes; here is a nutshell we meet The Simpsons [Marge and her youngest daughter Maggie] as she is driving her to firstly "The AYN RAND SCHOOL FOR TOTS" which Maggie declines this by shaking her head and making pacifier sound effects which her mum subtly looking in her direction without moving ahead likewise subtly gives the facial expressions of to imply "You don't want to go here so let's try further down the road." So they go on a little bit further down the road to "JABBA'S HUTT JEDI PRESCHOOL"[ Both of these names for these preschools are on house to buy or let type of design with a engraving of Jabba the Hutt or a member of this family being surrounded by children with this name engraved on wooden sign including wooden stake which this sign is on;] where it has two doors; the first one Sky Walkers [in blue text, black background with a blue thin border which in turn gives it a black thin border as well] or alternatively you have the choice of this other door with the words Sky Toddles [in yellow text and in the same design/outlay.] Marge takes this door with carrying Maggie as she normally does as they/we enter this building. I don't have too much to say about the pacing, simply because as I have already made reference to this project is roughly 3 minutes long, so all I can say is; it moves smoothly and fluently as something is always happening in this project.

Sound effects performances [I have been trying to find out who made the sound effects to put their name here, but I couldn’t find anyone] and art; because most of us now have grown up with this family known as The Simpsons; they make everything welcoming and easy to settle down and everything through their usual impeccable standard has been achieved here also.

On walking in to this place Marge, Maggie, these other Sky Walkers and we are watching this demonstration by Master Obi-Wan Kenobi [the younger Ewan McGregor version, but looking older and worn with a hair net on] using his Lightsaber and The Force combined at a point throughout this scene/sequence to make these many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

This film receives: 10/10, this is top-notch entertainment; this project has lots to offer and this one-on-one action sequence which I will not tell you about, but it is definitely a must see sequence or to be fair for a very short project I'm sure you can spare roughly 3 minutes to watch this project in its entirety and when this review was being dictated; it has 2 Nominations to its name; Primetime Emmy Awards 2021; Primetime Emmy; Outstanding Short Form Animated Program;

Disney+ and Online Film & Television Association 2021; OFTA Television Award Best Animated Program, which it should win at least an Award when everything is said and done, as you can see by my marking it would be a massive shame if this short didn't win a positive award.

Storyline/Art/Characters/Acton/Comedy/Performances: now these all go hand-in-hand in one way or another. The storyline it is good and the same can be said for the pacing; to put a little bit more substance here, because I will have to be a little bit more selective on what I discuss, just based on the grounds that this project is only 23 minutes long. We meet Wallace/Sallis and his faithful companion Gromit [Dog] as Wallace/Sallis is trying to pick somewhere to spend their Bank Holiday; as he finds out what most people fear, that they have run out of cheese, whilst searching in his chair in the living room opposite Gromit in his chair sitting like a human with a book in his hand, but listening to Wallace/Sallis; when this idea dawns on him to go somewhere; where in his mind it is made out of cheese with this monologue/idea "Everybody knows that; that place is made out of cheese." Yes I have deliberately adapted this line as to not give too much away] and Wallace and Gromit both end up looking out of the window. I should just point out if you end up watching this project and when Wallace/Sallis kicks something and it doesn't come back down, you will find it after the closing credits it is at the end of the closing credits.

Before this in the closing credits as they are appearing on-screen we have some pictures of Wallace and Gromit in frames slowly rotating from one to the next; this is great Art and Characters [Character developments;] because it shows that they have a warm, caring, family relationship [perfect on-screen chemistry;] individually Wallace is an Inventor which is more intelligent in this mind-set, but Gromit is more common sense and grounded, so they balance each other out.

Wallace talks in this project [human's talk in this franchise] but back to this project specifically now; other characters like Gromit use body language, facial expressions, thought bubbles, sound or/and background music to put over what they are saying in a situation and to the viewers as well.

Action & Comedy; for one example I am going to have to pick the most iconic moment in this project and just before I receive feedback like "Who says this?" Anyone that has ever watched this project knows this one particular sequence of events; Gromit is using a hand drill to drill this hole, I think he hits an option on the drill to reverse it, where the drill component becomes the handle area and the handle area becomes the drill component, because poor Gromit; by the sound of it accidentally flips a switch and does around and around and gets flung out of this scene whilst the drill stays in this hole.

Performance: Peter Sallis as Wallace; he made this character into a star as his voice from1989 to 2010 where Ben Whitehead has picked up the mantle and is the current voice of Wallace after Sallis retired; sadly died in Sunday 02/06/2017; RIP Peter Sallis. 

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; the Art is still very easy to settle down with; yes it looks a bit old here and there like around Wallace's face, but then again if I am going to state this. I need to point out that in every project involving these two characters [on a quick side note in other projects that come from Aardman Animations use them at that point as well, so they are always pushing the envelope;] but I digress back to this specific situation they go through changes such as something like curving on or around their face shape in short an upgrade, but all the Art is fantastic. This is most definitely one of those projects that you need to see once in your lifetime and no surprise this project has either Won or has been Nominated for some Awards; the highest Award on the film list of Awards; BAFTA Awards 1990; BAFTA Film Award; Nick Park and Nominated Academy Awards 1991; Oscar Best Short Film, Animated; Nick Park.

Storyline: it is good, to give you a little bit more substance  Huey, Dewey and Louie have on trick-or-treating dressed as the Devil, a Warlock [I know; a better description for this costume would be a Whitch, but as he is a male it would be a Warlock and I have done some research to make sure] and a Ghost, but they have some trouble at this one individual's house, but don't worry too much they get some assistance from two individuals; as this project roughly goes on for 9 minutes I will not say anymore; the pacing is good.

Art/Characters/Performances/Comedy/Action: now in one way or another all these components go hand-in-hand, but I will be speaking about them singly and pairs to make this review easier to talk about and read; so on to the art [visually] it is very easy to settle down with from the very beginning until the end, it does have many things to offer which are associated with this time of year and Art [musically,] be it musically or a magic spell these are all good

Characters and Performances; likewise these are all good as well Hazel the Witch/Foray, Donald Duck/Huey/Dewey/Louie Jack-o'lantern and Jack-o'lantern/Ravenscroft; all of these performers really do bring these characters to life either speaking voice or singing.

Comedy/Action; Donald plays some unpleasant tricks on his three Nephews, but don't worry he will unwillingly break down a door so his nephews can have the treats; this feels like one of those occasions where I should just say the following "Don't try this at home Kids."

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; it is a smooth short project that focuses on this time of year and situation, I am just disappointed it has no Awards to its name.

Review Time

Storyline/Art/Action/Comedy/Characters/Performances: including the pacing and on-screen chemistry all of these components go hand-in-hand in one way or another.

Storyline and pacing; they are good; this project only goes on for roughly 8 minutes. Moving on to the art; the art visually first is excellent, very engageable and still looks great to this very day in 2020; from a musical perspective it is good and based on a little bit of research [as of when this blog was first dictated; you can find a sing-along version of Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf on YouTube or just the lyrics on Google [they are just under the sing-along version providing you take the Google route and not directly to YouTube, they are before you press on the YouTube video.] I was just wondering if this may be useful information if you have young children.

Action and Comedy; we have The Big Bad Wolf/Bletcher trying to gain access into The third Little Pig's House [Practical Pig/Colvig] and every time The Big Bad Wolf/Bletcher attempts to blow the other Practical Pig/Colvig performs this musical tune on his piano [so it goes like this; blow, piano and so on.]

Characters and Performers; these characters it most definitely shows that the  Fiddler Pig/Moder and Fifer Pig/Compton as potentially and this is just speculation on my part, but they could be the two younger siblings to Practical Pig/Colvig; yes Fiddler Pig/Moder and Fifer Pig/Compton are very similar to one another by personalities and all of that; this is why I think they are of similar age, but Practical Pig/Colvig is potentially I would say eight years older than his two other siblings and the voice and singing performances; they really do bring these characters to life in every way shape and form.

This film receives: 9/10; this film is excellent; but I do have to question the Pigs names; Fiddler, Fifer and Practical? So two of them are based around the instruments they play, whilst the other is a state of thinking and a personality trait [I'm guessing calling him "Keys" was a step too far for somebody;] wouldn't it have been easier to go with Eager, Cocky and Practical On a quick side note this project has won two awards; Academy Awards Oscar, Best Short Subject, Cartoons 1934 Walt Disney and National Film Preservation Board 2007.

Review Time

Storyline: it is good; to put a little bit more substance here we have the highly anticipated race between Max Haire "The Blue Streak" vs.  Toby Tortoise "Slow But Sure" The pacing is also good, I mean it has so much to offer in one way or another that because this film goes on for less than 9 minutes it doesn't have time to waste.

Art/Comedy/Characters/Action/Performances: including the on-screen chemistry these six components go hand-in-hand; the art [animation] is what I would describe as warm, welcoming and easy to settle down with; yes for those younger generations out there I am aware that by today's standards it does look incredibly old [this project was released in 1935,] but then again it brings up a very interesting question when the modernized computer animation reaches 85 years old, if it will still look as good as this project is from 1935? The short answer being no, just based on the fact we are dealing with two very different styles of animation one being hand-drawn and the other being computer technology.

Comedy and Characters; here are two small but excellent pieces of comedy and character developments; basically we have Haire waiting for Tortoise to shake him by the hand, not once but twice he pulls away quickly to make Tortoise look a joke in fact everyone laughs at him which in turn firstly makes Haire look arrogant and not a good creature, but in turn Tortoise acknowledges the joke the first time around, but the second time we just moved on to the start of the race.

But moving on to the second example; we have Haire either pretending to or has fallen asleep under this tree and here comes Tortoise slowly but surely [breaks the fourth-wall by looking down the camera] and putting a finger over his lips and just going "Shhhh" and then slowly overtakes Haire which he suddenly wakes up. But back to Tortoise for a second; by him doing this quiet overtaking this illustrates as it relates to his character developments he is aware of his lack of speed, but it doesn't stop him from using his brain and he does come over to the viewers as a much more pleasant creature and I should just point out these two characters when they are running have two very different background music Haire; alarm siren volume up loud and for Tortoise; plod-along music consequently he is moving quickly for him but slow for everyone else.

Action; here are just some examples a weapon being used [a revolver] and archery.

Performances: the voice performances are excellent; they really do bring these characters to life with personalities.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment: yes this project may be short but it does have so much to offer its viewers, there is only one thing for me to mention this project did win an Academy Award Oscar for Best Short Subject, Cartoons 1935; Winner Walt Disney Mic-Drop.

Storyline/Art/Action/Comedy: these five components including the pacing go hand-in-hand; the storyline it is good; to put a little bit more substance here we have this Narrator/Commentator accompanying us throughout this project [they are one and the same] and because this project is roughly around 7 minutes long, the pacing is always moving forward at a good pace.

The art [animation] has and will continue to stand the test of time; yes back in the day of 1944 and even in 2020 [when this review was first dictated,] this hand-drawn animation may be still so expensive to produce, but then again basically using this expression  "You get what you pay for." I mean any financial backer of any animated project whatsoever with a potential massive budget should go in with the idea or question "Is this going to stand the test of time?" And before someone brings up "But computer animation is always improving." This is very true, but then again you have Toy Story 1995 and that is still looking fabulous; okay little bit worn around the edges but still fabulous nonetheless and just in case if you want me to go even further back, how about Aladdin 1992 the escaping the cave sequence; there is computer animation here for an example which still looks fantastic, yes likewise a bit worn but still fantastic.

But back to this project; it brings its viewers into this event; I do like the birds-eye perspective from over this Stadium with red dots [Taxidermy Tech] vs. the blue dots [Anthropology A.M] and this yellow dot for [the American football or footballs.] Now with the action and comedy the viewers get to see the very high percentage how things go and tactics; the one occasion we don't see the action until very near the end of this play; is where our viewing is blocked by different things such as players, so unfortunately we missed this runback for a Touchdown for Taxidermy Tech Returner Whipple Smith.

Characters/Performances: including the on-screen chemistry these are all good.

This film receives: 7/10, this is good; if you like the NFL, you will like this; if you don't hay still give it a look just based on the grounds it is only 7 minutes long.

Storyline/Art/Comedy/Action/Characters/Performances: it takes all of these components including the pacing and on-screen chemistry going hand-in-hand storyline it is excellent; it has been written and filmed in the genre of a bite-size Rom-com [Romantic Comedy] and the reason why I have said bite-size is because it only goes on for roughly 5 minutes, so this short project doesn't have time to waste so it smoothly and efficiently rotates with a good pacing from beginning to end.

Now as this short project is from The Simpsons franchise; yes the art is as always clean, engaging and of their very high standards [basically everything you come to expect from this franchise really,] in short because I don't want to give too much away Maggie quickly nicks Nelson Munns skateboard with Nelson landing with a bump and on his front [but don't worry he had the appropriate safety equipment on] with Maggie getting on this skateboard and going down and high up/off this skateboard ramp to get this other babies’ [Hudson's] attention.

Moving on to the characters/performances; the character developments are very easy to pick up on, because using a mixture of background music, body language, facial expressions, on-screen chemistry, mental imagery and sound effects including this educational toy that says "Y,Y,Y,Y," whilst Maggie presses the Y button to speak for her, it smartly tells the viewers what is happening between Maggie and Hudson.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; now usually I would use a phrase like "This is good" or something like this individually but as this project is a short project and everything about this title is going hand-in-hand I was thinking I would save it up to put here instead; basically this project is really easy to settle down with; it much to offer its viewing audiences.

Review Time: this project is top-notch entertainment, this project roughly 4 minutes long

Fundamental elements: there voice-over elements, background music, mental imagery time jumps and place jumps.

Storyline/Back story: the storyline is good and the back story gets shown to us the viewers via mental imagery.

Artistic visions/Character developments: now at one point or another these two components all work off one another. The artistic visions and the character developments are singly or together the most important components to this project. Based on the facts that they tell the life of this unicycle from where he is, to what he used to be doing and back again to what he is doing now [this individual's name is Red.]

The artistic visions and the character developments put across to the viewers that this location and our lead character is either depressing [it is at night and it is raining, it builds a beautiful yet sad atmosphere from the very beginning] to the very end or depressed that our lead character is sleep wheeling and when he wakes up he tips his head forward [seat] and slowly wheels back to his corner followed by banging his head [seat] on the wall, slumping down in his corner to go back to sleep, so as you can see the body language/mannerisms off our lead character are powerful as to put all of this in depth-in; real emotions/feelings into this unicycle and on a quick side note and I am not going to take any marks of for this; but I would say by today's standards the Clown is looking a little bit vintage [yes just for the record I know vintage means things get better with age but in this context I mean respect to the project in question.]

Action sequences/Comedy level/Character developments: these three elements go hand-in-hand as well we see some of Red's act with his previous owner [this Clown,] juggling and this Clown taking a long time to realize something has gone wrong here, there is good chemistry between these two characters to put over to the viewers that many years ago this double act was highly successful and to push this idea/feeling home to us we have the audience watching this double act at this time, clapping and these kinds of things.

This film receives: 10/10, there is so much in the way of atmosphere, feeling and emotions, that it took me by surprise how hard-hitting this project is.
