Warning: there are flashing/colourful effects at some point in this match slot with cameras going off and lighting.

Background information: now because of  Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake being brutally attacked by "Outlaw" Ron Bass as we have already seen in this Pay-Per-View, the Censored; well kind of Censored footage at an earlier event, we now have no No1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship Match here. So the Intercontinental Champion The Honky Tonk Man [with Colonel Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart] are always happy so says Hart in this interview with "Mean" Gene Okerlund earlier in the night on this Pay-Per-View; as Okerlund tries to tell them about this replacement, but the Intercontinental loves surprises so he doesn't want to know, so the Champion with his Manager come out first here and get impatient for an opponent.

Comments: I don't know what to say about this match, I can't tell you something if it isn't there to begin with, but there is a lot of physical mass of humanity in this match and basically we have two Haas Tag Teams; meaning of the word Haas in a wrestling sense means; a big guy or guys which are muscular and tall which are associated with hard-hitting smash mouth wrestling, so consequently this match follows that representation of wrestling. Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWF/WWE SummerSlam 29/08/1988 Match 2/Part 2 by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there are flashing/colourful effects at some point in this match slot with cameras going off and lighting.

Background information: now usually I wouldn't bring this up but I just wanted to point out how stupid this is; there is some censored content before this match, between these two characters/performers, but it is a complete joke. Because before and after this censored warning in this content, we are still watching this content where we clearly see this character/performer graphically being assaulted by this individual and this weapon and even when this censored warning comes up now and again you can still see blood because the censor warning is a cross with the word “Censored” so it doesn’t completely cover the screen, so they could have used smaller red crosses to cover up the blood. I know this is kayfabe and no I couldn't do much better because I don't have the know-how but how come watching someone being graphically assaulted is okay, but whatever happens under this censor is not even though as I have just said we have seen blood and I know it was a different world back then and no I am not complaining about the content but even in the 1980's or 2021 it just comes off really amateurish and idiotic here is a great idea since as soon as this weapon becomes a factor censor the entire be down and make it look a professional censor job as well. I will be discussing this later as well because it impacts on to another match on this Card.

Match/Stipulation: Bad News Brown vs. Ken Patera: Singles Match

Match Total: 47/60 - this match is excellent

Comments: briefly here on the whole this is an excellent match, I am just going to come out and say it; it makes me feel incredibly sad that we went from this standard of tag team wrestling in this company in 1988 to a complete and utter dumb stuff fire in 2021 on the Main Rosters. Now I am not a gatekeeper, but like it or not you have to ask "How the hell did we get here?" But I digress I have two points; which I cannot discuss here. But in fairness and balance I could/can overlook one point; because of how excellent this match is, I mean don't get me wrong I would have still brought it up here, because it is still worth talking about, but not the other because I have been around wrestling long enough to know I get it, but then again the more I think about it; it just irritated me; if you want to know what these are; please head over to the Spoiler Alarm Version
