Comments: the generally only negative I have is this; why did Hogan come out with Sullivan’s face paint markings? Now this is where I am going to make myself look stupid, because I am now going to contradict myself; on one hand taking two seconds to think about it; I think it was meant to imply maybe hoping is embracing his dark side more. But on the other hand putting their potential reason to one side, I don’t get it; it had no bearing in the match/match slot whatsoever, so just maybe it was that point I have already made reference to and nothing more. The commentary team really put across how serious this entire situation is including for one example having to watch tomorrow's WCW Nitro to find out more and then talking more about this ongoing situation which is unravelling right in front of our eyes and yes they made reference to André the Giant, the crowd played their part also as well, what with them buying into it what they were seeing.

Basic Result: The Dungeon of Doom's The Giant [with "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan] picks up the W.

* Tony Schiavone & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary talk about what they had just seen over video replays and then we go back to live footage in the ring, then Schiavon and Heenan appear on-screen to carry on discussing what has just happened, Heenan standing up talking about bits and pieces and clapping to what just happened including promoting watching Nitro tomorrow and there are other television programming; with hopefully answers to the question what just happened? We return to live footage around the ring with Schiavone signing off from this event.

* Ending credits: I like the backdrop to the ending credits of this pay-per-view, imaginative yet highly creative art.

This Pay-Per-View receives: 7/10, this pay-per-view is good; the whole matches/match slot and the event outlay in a nutshell is good. But in this version I can be a bit more expansive on what I say here; it wasn't lost on me that this event was either deliberately or purely coincidental, but probably more deliberately, this is just my opinion and speculation on my part, that this event was designed to put over 4 wrestlers the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hogan, The Giant, Savage and Lugar. My opinion is based on fact and observation meaning we get to see these wrestlers more than once throughout this event and either number the side the number I had chosen to rate this event by was either just too low or high, I went with the number I could easily justify.

The highest ranking match on this card based on attributes that we get to see would be: The Dungeon of Doom's The Giant [with "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan] vs. the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan [with "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart;] Singles Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship with 51/60.

Comments: this was solidly good, Lugar once again gets hit by this yellow wrapping paper from earlier in his entrance, in the match itself Savage in kayfabe took a swing at our referee Nick Patrick, to put over he will hit anything that is moving and now we come on to the big thing about this match/match slot. We have the commentary team putting over in a big way in one way or another that they are still concerned about what happened in the previous match slot and the consequences for the main event if there is to be one? On one hand it works excellent way well, but on the other hand it works so well indeed that this match/match slot is playing out in the backdrop that kind of feeling. I can't really take any marks off for this, because that is what they were clearly going for, but in the same token I do have to point out that it worked to some cost which is very little but still some cost.

Basic Result: "The Macho Man" Randy Savage is victorious

* Tony Schiavone & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary talk about what they had just seen over video replays with "The Macho Man" Randy Savage's entrance theme of "Ooooooh Yeeaah!"  Schiavone & Heenan; appearing on screen still rolling with The Giant Hogan situation and trying to find out more, I should really point out Heenan is losing it, with Heenan storming off screen, with  Schiavone making a joke in a nutshell; that is the best thing that has happened to me all night, Schiavone continues talking about the ongoing situation. [A moment or two later] Heenan returns to on-screen, a little bit calmer than before. Schiavone makes another joke there is an opening for a producer are you interested in filling it? [Without breaking the seriousness of this situation unfolding.] They take a look at the replay of why we are in this current situation and then they appear back on-screen, Schiavone in a nutshell again reassures us that the main event is still happening, with Heenan getting on his knees to find out any information about the condition of one of these competitors and pleading with basically the production truck to go and find out. Heman getting off his knees and sitting back on his chair to give Schiavone a third-degree about not caring, but he does, so we are just left waiting to find out what is happening with Heenan standing up and asking anyone for a walkie-talkie with that Schiavone sends us to the ring.

Michael Buffer: Ring announcer: he does the usual, he begins to introduce the contender, but he says there has been a change and introduces the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hogan [with “Mouth of the South Jimmy" Hart; carrying the championship,] with Heenan on commentary pointing out Hogan is not dressed in a complete. With Schiavone and Heenan putting over feelings and something bad has happened. Hogan begins a promo basically saying what happened out there wasn't meant to go down like that, but then suddenly he gets interrupted by the entrance music of The Dungeon of Doom's The Giant [with "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan] with Buffer finishing off his duties. [There are two things I need to point out before finishing off this particular content; the first is the yellow wrapping paper strikes again as you will see it in The Giant and Sullivan's entrance and a quick apologies if I didn't pick up the yellow wrapping paper earlier just to cover and back either way and finally this would be The Giant's in-ring debut.]

Comments: this is certainly an experience, I am not being arrogant but my total attribute marks pretty much sum up this match/match slot. Once again as I referenced Sting not appearing with his WCW US Heavyweight Championship, I have to call out Hogan for doing the same thing here with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, I don't like it as I have already referenced in the previous match slot you are a champion so basically you should be seen with the championship, even though I partially like a pinch of salt understand why here. I mean trying to do a scuffle thing with The Giant, I mean Hart is nowhere to be seen so he could have held the championship

I should do some explaining about the crowd participation; on reflection I believe that they were either silently watching this unfold on the big screen or perhaps they may have had technical issues, I don't know and the only reason I speculate that they may have had some form of technical issues is because Bischoff makes reference to something to the effect of I don't know if you can hear the crowd and obviously he could just be making reference to the fact that these vehicles are loud. But either way I don't want to be too harsh towards the crowd. You know this is one of those crowds that has been generally speaking good throughout this pay-per-view so far, I am going to give them a little bit of leniency if anything was slightly out of place here be it watching or technical issues or anything other.

Basic Result: the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan picks up the W.

* Eric Bischoff, Bob Chandler & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary appearing on-screen to talk about what they had just seen with Bischoff trying to find out and receiving information over his headset with Bischoff being told they have a match coming up next or something to that effect so he gets Heenan and Schiavone to carry on with Schiavone retaking his position at the commentary, so Bischoff can go and check on everyone involved which this has thrown the main event match between these two wrestlers into doubt now.

Comments: this entire match slot is on one hand positive; excellent, whilst on the other hand negative; well that was certainly a messy ride to get us moving forward.

Well let us start with the entrances look how Anderson has been referenced in his entrance [this isn't precise in my description, but you get the point] all I have to say about this is foreshadowing much. Sting is announced as the WCW US Heavyweight Champion yet this championship is nowhere to be seen, this in itself annoys me, if you are any champion you're meant to carry your championship regardless if it is on the line or not and for some strange reason this child boos Sting with a thumbs down. Which I know everyone is entitled to do whatever they want within reason, but he is a baby face and more importantly he hasn't done anything remotely wrong in the build-up to this match/match slot so I find it odd, yes maybe this individual is not a Sting fan which is acceptable. But other than that where is this motivation coming from if that is not the case.

The referee Randy Anderson has a rocky time in this match that is for sure; Arn is the legal man, goes over to Brian and has worked, yes they touch so why isn't this a tag? Randy does speak to Brian but it should have still been a tag. Heenan highlights that Flair is not dressed to wrestle on more than one occasion, Flair should have been disqualified for pushing over Randy, Flair yet again should have been disqualified for using his shoe and it softly hitting Arn, Randy does have a plausible excuse he was busy backing up Flair preventing him from attacking even though he is a participant in this match and yes he did see the shoe, Randy yet again takes his eye off the ball and focuses on the situation outside of the ring between Brian and Flair, I have a feeling Randy may have gotten confused who was the legal man between Arn and Brian so he indicates a free tag of sorts [when you see Arm and Brian switching between legal and illegal positions without tagging this is what I mean and yes it is done in front of Randy.] Yes I have indicated the match outlay was good but it didn't need so much from Randy

At some point as I have already referenced; Heenan for one example in a nutshell sends one of his people to the back to find what has happened to Flair, because he didn't come out when he should have due to this ongoing situation throughout this pay-per-view at this point, Flair races down to the ring as I have already shown sometime later Heenan's people or a person comes back and says they couldn't find Flair obviously Heenan is not amused by this.

Basic Result: Draw; this is one of those rare occasions where if or when or you have seen this match without giving too much away, to cover my back I have just chosen the result which is best suited without giving too much away.

Basic walk-through of this event: I am not being disrespectful but I am just saying you have roughly 11 minutes before the next match so if you want to go and make yourself comfortable grab some refreshments now would be a good time.

* Tony Schiavone & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary are talking about what is unfolding in front of their eyes where Schiavone is fuming, Heenan is impressed

* "Mean"Gene Okerlund: Opinions/ Promotes/Iterviewer: shares his opinion on what is still going on behind him on this big screen at the top of the ramp, the WCW Hotline where you can talk to all of these wrestlers and personnel such as Road Warrior Hawk and Mike Tenay [they appear on screen taking phone calls] and then grabs a word with the newly reformed The Four Horsemen; Flair, Anderson & Brian.

* Sting is getting helped back to the locker room by WCW Medical Trainer Schiavone does say his name but it doesn't appear in the subtitles Schiavone start talking more about this developing situation.

* Tony Schiavone & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary appear on screen to talk more about this developing situation and how possibly this plan was laid out. Tony Schiavone makes reference to the Randy vs. Lugar Match coming up later.

Comments: this match/match slot as you can see in short is a safe and reliable formula, the surrounding components to this match slot made a big difference. All the wrestling talent that came down the aisle, received some kind of heel welcoming by the old-fashioned way of having rubbish thrown at them [for an example in this case you are looking out for some kind of yellow tissue paper, you know burger wrapping paper, granted the heels get so much more; The Dungeon of Doom, where Lugar only gets one person of what I can see.] Then on commentary we have informative things such as Schiavone providing us with an update as it relates to Flair, Heenan at one stage putting over both wrestlers [you're looking/hearing out for when Schiavone says Meng falls on Lugar and Heenan disagrees; he gives a in-depth and longer explanation to what happened here,] Heenan later on also makes reference to Lugar's medical history [specifically the steel plate in his arm.]

Basic Result: “The Total Package" Lex Luther picks up the win to qualify to face "The Macho Man" Randy Savage later on tonight in a Singles Match.

Match Total: 29/60 - this match/match slot is mixed

Comments: all I can say here is; this match/match slot is precisely what you expect it to be, this is another short match, but where in the previous two matches and their match slots I can be more positive. Here on the other hand I can't, because at one point or another between these two wrestlers and two on-screen characters including Randy Anderson the Referee, this was a clumsy train wreck at best.

Sabu performs a standing moonsalt from the outside of the ring apron onto Mr. JL [the walkway up to the entrance/exit] and because his real life uncle The Sheik is pretty much old and bashed up, he is standing in the line of fire, roughly behind Mr. JL and like Mr. JL he takes a good percentage for a bashed up veteran. But I should very much point out on watching this again on replay The Sheik stepped in, instead of away from the danger zone, I mean there is a split second where it could have just backed up. I am not trying to read too much into this, but he clearly stepped in to the danger zone as I have just said. This is speculation unless he makes up his mind that I can't move out of the way quick enough, so I may as well plant my feet and try and take some of the impact, but as everyone should know by a certain age range he like his nephew they embody the hard-core wrestling style, Heenan brings it up on commentary and Schiavone makes reference to basically Sabu following in the family footsteps and later on Heenan makes more references to this family connection

Sabu carries on and it isn't too long within moments actually until we have another crash and burn moment; he runs on the outside of the ring towards Mr. JL, but Mr. JL ducks consequently Sabu crashes into the guard railing.

A little later Sabu comes off the bottom left top turnbuckle yet once again the creches and burns as Mr. JL ducks again. Mr. JL comes off the same top turnbuckle with his own moonsalt; this is not the cleanest version of this move I have ever seen. I know wrestlers from time to time have to fit in a wrestling match with the slot that has been given to them meaning time, but in this case it is rushed and slowly creeping up to slightly dangerous.

Sabu is in the same corner Mr. JL runs in, but Sabu moves out of the way consequently Mr. JL crashes and burns, this looks relatively okay I'm just putting it in here so it shows that am not being biased, but on the grand scheme of things as it relates to this entire match/match slot; it doesn't look too good if you were to add everything up.

Sabu attempts to go up in this same corner/top turnbuckle [yes for some reason we see a lot of action in this bottom left corner/top turnbuckle,] but Mr. JL stops him, instead he goes for a german suplex with pin from where Sabu is. Now I would have seen this as a positive and I do, but what prevents me from giving any higher marks, is the fact that between these two wrestlers, referee and including our commentary team; they completely botch this up Sabu's near shoulder is so far off the canvas that we can see it yet but the referee counts it, Sabu has to kick out and even Heenan this time doesn't even say a word and Schiavone just as the standard two count comment.

Sabu Mr. JL perched on this top turnbuckle and performs this version of the sunset flip pin or that is what Schiavone calls it anyway, I'm going to go with a modified sunset flip, but it is so clunky.

Basic Result: Sabu [with The Sheik] the W.

[I moments later they are on-screen,] they continued to talk about his uncle and him, then they move back onto The Dungeon of Doom's The Giant vs. the WCW Champion Hogan and its surrounding characters including André the Giant.

The Dungeon of Doom segment in The Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan's lair: The Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan and The Master; delivering a promo I am paraphrasing here; but what is going to go down tonight.

* Tony Schiavone & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary talk about [appear back on screen] what they have just heard.

* "Mean"Gene Okerlund: Iterviewer: with a competition winner that has won a Harley-Davidson motorcycle [which is also on-screen] and in a nutshell a selection of people including the WCW Heavyweight Hogan [Hogan does the presentation to give the keys to the competition winner] and "The Mouth of The South" Jimmy Hart.

Okerlund sets up Hogan to talk about what happened to his Harley-Davidson at WCW Fall Brawl: WarGames where The Giant in his Monster Truck ran over Hogan's motorcycle, basically how we came to be in this situation for this first match of the night between these two wrestlers and Okerlund goes off script by asking one of these people haven't got anything for this seat? Okerlund acknowledges I am paraphrasing here again he has caught her off guard. Hogan makes reference to these two matches and André the Giant.

Commercial for the WCW next pay-per-view: WCW World War 3 Sunday 26 November

* Tony Schiavone & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan/"Wiesel": Commentary a moment later appear on screen advertising  WCW World War 3 where the winner will receive a future WCW Heavyweight Championship opportunity against whomever is champion at that time, Heenan makes reference to basically it would be nice to have that motorcycle and then quickly progresses to Hogan and The Sumo Monster Truck Match with Schiavone signalling that we need to go to the next match and our ring announcer [ Heenan a moment or two ago had forgotten what he was saying so he was drawing shapes with his fingers to remember] this is why Schiavone did it to transfer over to our ring announcer.

* David Penzer: Ring announcer says the stipulations and then introduces the competitors [in hindsight this does feel like and look like; this entire break from the wrestling was designed to be a toilet break based on you roughly 10 minutes between the end of this match and the next one.]

Comments: this match/match slot is as you can see solidly good, this is another short match, but at least it is longer than its predecessor at roughly 4 minutes and 14 seconds, yes I roughly time this. Match Total: 38/60 - this match/match slot is good.

Comments: this is one of those times in wrestling where this match/match slot gets us where we need to go, so it serves its purpose so consequently you can't blame it for that. But having said that; I can now say this; the entrances were literally longer than this match was; yes I timed it roughly the entrances were 2 minutes and 33 seconds, whilst the wrestling match itself only lasted 1 and 34 seconds.

This is where this match/match slot receives a lot of credibility from me; where amongst things they talk about The Giant vs. Hogan in their first match up of tonight in the Sumo Monster Truck Match some idiot from the crowd tries to get in the ring and attack Savage. Where everyone involved from the Referee Randy Anderson intercepts this individual to these two wrestlers continuing this wrestling match including taking it outside of the ring so that the security and Anderson deal with this individual to the commentary team talking about this individual then moving on. To why we have The Zodiac instead of Kamala; Schiavone in a nutshell says we don't know why Heenan the way he understands it Kamala indicated/told "The Taskmaster" he was afraid of Savage so he got kicked out of The Dungeon of Doom.

So as you can now see after taking everything into consideration even though the match/match slot was a case of just going through something to get us where we want to be after everything is said and done the attribute markings are a fair outcome, one final thing I want to make it crystal clear I am praising these individuals for dealing with this situation and carrying on relatively as normal and not this idiot.

Basic Result: I know I have indicated the result, but I still have to do the admin; "The Macho Man" Randy Savage picks up the W and goes on to face Lex Lugar potentially later on tonight if Luther is victorious in his match later on against Meng.
