Match Total: 26/60 - this match is mixed

Comments: well this entire final section of this pay-per-view is chaotic and not really fun, too quickly justifying the Recommend Watch of a positive mark of 6/10; at least they put in one way or another some surprises in here [I will give one surprise away at some point, I will make reference to this individual later.] It is referenced on commentary by Styles twice that this is Dreamer's last hoorah, but this is not true I have done some research and he isn't yet retired as of 2022, later on Styles was informed over his head said he had to apologise for saying balls.

Basic Result: The Dudley Boyz [Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley with Spike Dudley] pick up the win.

Briefly things to know:

I know I usually put like a point by point approach in place here, but in this case it would be better if I didn't do this as in a nutshell;

* A conclusion of the storyline between ECW vs./and The WWE Anti-ECW Crusaders; Raw & SmackDown here with a surprise from an individual, but I have to point out Sandman I don't know if it is in kayfabe or not, but he really did spoil this a little, by asking for a drink and eventually this surprise just gave him one to more than likely shut him up.

This pay-per-view receives: 7/10, this pay-per-view is good; yes this card has two mixed matches and the rest are positives. But however I didn't like the level of negativity in this pay-per-view on any level, I know at least  85% of it was building onto the conclusion later on tonight, but after awhile and including the other 15%,  it really affected my viewing experience especially one thing said on commentary which I will bring up later.

Now I can talk more freely in this version as it is the spoiler version, it is a combining effort between more than likely kayfabe negative or shoot or work [this is another wrestling terminology where it could have been okayed from the one involved behind the scenes or something to that effect] or and I don't care if this is anything in the realms of wrestling it shouldn't have been said, this affected my viewing experience and it was the final nail in the coffin  if I should take a mark of or not, as it relates to Mike Awesome and his suicide dive as it relates to Styles comments yes he did apologise, but he still ran him down verbally after apologising so the apology is pointless.

Yes just for the record I would be exactly the same regardless of the real-life situation what happened to Mike Awesome, yes obviously it is much worse that it unfortunately happened. But if you're going to be angry with someone leaving your company and essentially wishing them dead then, maybe you shouldn't be in wrestling. I mean I was fuming when Cody Rhodes left AEW, but I wouldn't wish him harm, whilst I am being honest the only person that is alive that I have I think at some point said or something to the effect of I can't wait until this person is no longer here and I was referring to Mr McMahon; I feel no guilt about saying anything like this about him, he is just a despicable person and yes I have mellowed out since he has stepped down from the WWE, but when his final bell rings I won't be too upset, so after taking everything into consideration this mark is a fair outcome.

The highest ranking match on this card based on attributes would be: The Impact Players' Lance Storm [with "The Incomparable" Dawn Marie] vs. "Lionheart" Chris Jericho: Singles Match with 50/60.

Match Total: 39/60 - this match is good.

Comments: the wrestling and the match outlay as you can see is/was excellent, but everything else was toxic on one level or another. It pretty much starts as soon as Awesome entries the ring he gives a gesture to the balcony, consequently Bischoff and The Anti-ECW Crusaders: Raw get up and turn their back on him [but later on The Anti-ECW Crusaders of both Raw & SmackDown looked to be enjoying this match, consequently putting over both participants, I hasten to add when JBL puts his hands on his face at watching another table getting set up, there is a moment where I think he is mocking them, but let’s be positive and say; for the most parts they are putting over these two competitors.] Meanwhile we have Styles warming up to not just do a shoot on him [this is wrestling terminology for an element of truth or more,] but Styles just doesn't shoot on Awesome, he buries him [this is another wrestling terminology which in this case is verbally destroying somebody/this wrestling terminology can be used in a wrestling sense as well where one wrestler buries somebody by a quick match with one competitor having a dominating performance which this can be known as a another wrestling terminology a squash match.]

Where in a nutshell; Style brings up Awesome broke his ECW contract to sign worth millions of dollars with WCW and goes on from there really, Awesome performs a suicide dive to the outside Styles says "And it is a shame he didn't succeed by taking his own life."

This is where I feel it is appropriate to drop a pipe bomb [this is another wrestling terminology which basically means unfiltered truth when speaking.] Styles you child this is how the wrestling industry works, it isn't very nice but it is the business end of it, even though you are a little bit concerned about Awesome in this match once and don't worry you got your wish, because Awesome committed suicide if you really want to know death by hanging in 2007, so RIP Michael "Mike Awesome" Alfonso 1965-2007 [full disclosure yes I looked this up.] In fairness and balance he apologises, but then again it doesn't mean anything if he continues and even, Foley is being a professional and sticking up for Awesome including Foley being honest "I think I would have sold out for what type of cash WCW were throwing at Awesome." With this small yet reality check Styles: don't say that. Foley: I've got kids. Frankly Foley does so much good work here to cover to cover up Styles garbage and one final thing the audience where mixed towards Awesome, because of everything I have said here and they were positive as well to be fair, they would just remind him we haven't forgotten that kind of thing.[Additional; now I need to point this out, this could be absolutely 100% speculation, but however Styles and Foley are individually wearing a headset so it could be possible that Styles has completely gone off script or someone mentioning no names; cough, cough Heyman could have been feeding Styles these lines, based on my viewing experience of this  situation, this is highly unlikely as Styles gives off the impression he is burying Awesome  of his free will and what leads me to think like this; is you have Foley as I have already said being professional. I just needed to add this possible outcome in here just in case it is or isn't a case r who knows Heyman and Styles could be doing this together because at minimum it makes him look good, because I look outside the box and yes I freely accept I could be completely wrong as well, because like I have all they said this is 100% speculation.]

Basic Result: Mike Awesome picks up the W.

Match Total: 47/60 - this match is excellent

Comments: well I think I have mentioned it once somewhere in here, but just make sure these matches are relatively short, I mean the longest ones are 11 minutes, so as it relates to this match and if you are wondering why the Match Quality and Match Storyline individually only get 7/10, it does look and feel like they are working with the time may have which in this case is roughly 11 minutes, so individually or together most of us should know that these two wrestlers can go for a long time and put on an average extra matches. Now including the Raw Anti-ECW Crusaders on the balcony the crowd were I am just going to say loud.

Now but something has come to my attention that between Styles and Foley in this match they put across this stipulation and I know Styles put it across in the previous match/match slot as well. So I got thinking why didn't one or both of them bring it up in the first match/match slot? So I went back and watched it, the basically ran this opening match/match slot in every way shape or form as a normal Singles Match, but I did hear I am paraphrasing Style praising this Referee [Mike Kehner] for being consistent with his counting of the near falls. But for me pointing out as this night goes on the ECW Referees show a bit more leniency which we like to see, so on reflection this was foreshadowing for later on in this pay-per-view.

But back to here and now; I am paraphrasing again we have these two commentators discussing Styles: Highlighting this stipulation of this match. Foley: leniency being the key word here declaring a disqualification [let's look at this reply again] a little time later, as I was saying any official disqualifies a match, it would make what Bischoff got as a hero’s welcome with Styles quickly adding run out of town.

But as I have already pointed out they ran the first match on this card as a normal Singles Match; which I understand and I get a warming up  process of this pay-per-view and the foreshadowing. But it does feel like that this commentary team has forgotten that they were disappointed on; how the first match went down, so based on the fact we are on a ECW pay-per-view and the land of the extreme, why were this commentary team disappointed on what went down in the first match/match slot? It just makes them look a little bit silly as it relates to continuity and finally JBL and Orlando Jordan showing support and praise for Benoit; trying to entice him over to The Anti-ECW Crusaders: SmackDown Superstars from up in the balcony with Benoit buying it [likewise just a roundabout the same time; they put this over on commentary as well.]

Briefly things to know:

* "The Quintessential Stud Muffin" Joel: is unfortunately back for another demoralising and saddening segment, but this time he approaches The Anti-ECW Crusaders: Raw, specifically Eric Bischoff with this slow build-up to ask him for a job, he will do anything. I will somewhat speed this up it is another segment where it very much reminds us that ECW where beneath WWE and they want to remind us of that fact.

Comments: this match/match slot as the attribute marks and I have already said is excellent, I mean we have the usual high standard of extreme wrestling from Sabu, including none other than "The Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley putting him over on commentary basically saying and I am paraphrasing here I am not even in Sabu league and later on each commentator borrowed one catchphrase from each other to put across the action they are seeing, which puts to bed any speculation that I have had of friction that these two might have had earlier on in this pay-per-view.

Match Total: 29/60 - this match is mixed.

Comments: someone makes a mistake on Mysterio's  name bar he has gone back to using Jr. for this night but his name bar just says " Ray Mysterio." Then we have some friction between the commentary where speculation on my part based on it feels like someone has edited something out, because Foley must have brought up the story about where Jr. but I can't stress enough it isn't here. But we do have Styles giving us the factual account of where Jr. comes from. Foley “Thanks a lot Joey, but don't ever correct me again. A lot of people wouldn't have known it was his uncle and not his father until you had to open your mouth. Which Styles apologises not once but twice, once with "Sorry" and the second away from the mic, but if you pay attention you can still hear this  "Excuse me." I could be completely wrong about this, but based on this pay-per-view I don't think these two like one another, I mean it isn't just the ring now, it was earlier in the night as well, where I have made reference to Foley making references to Styles being emotional at the beginning of this pay-per-view. So as I have always said I could be completely wrong about this, but there is enough here to suggest at the very least I may have a point.

 I know all of these matches are relatively short, but I have no idea what happened in this match, it never really gets out of first gear.  Which inevitably the crowd picked up on calling this match "Boring" and "Put the mask back on" in reference to Psicosis taking it off at the beginning to show the crowd respect. On commentary made reference to these two points as well, the crowd go back to being positive about this match.

I have no idea why they called this match “Extreme Luche Match. " Yes I know both of these wrestlers are Luche wrestlers, but when you only have two extreme moment in the match then [one movie each on to one another I question why have this stipulation in the first place?

Basic Result: "El Super, Super Nino" Rey Mysterio Jr.

Briefly things to know:

* Warning adult content will be heard or seen over this next section until the next match: I have to be honest everything about this pay-per-view in the upcoming section until the next match is; progressively uncomfortable or/and depressing listening/viewing, so much so when it comes to awarding this pay-per-view a mark this is something I will definitely be keeping in mind, because it has really sucked this enthusiastic energy out of this pay-per-view for me, this is purely based on speculation, but this is one of those times where you wouldn't be surprised if Mr McMahon had an influence on it I know RVD says he is being unscripted here, but if we were to look at the bigger picture for a second, if we were to look between the lines, it really does sound like Mr McMahon raising two middle fingers to this ECW as they just couldn't have one night without Mr McMahon reminding us he has crushed another one of his rivals the other obviously being WCW in 2001, but once again I could be completely wrong about this but then again if I feel this way about this based on my viewing experience then it is once again a valid point.

* ECW video package: more of their history

* "The Quintessential Stud Muffin" Joel: on the same top balcony as The Anti-ECW Crusaders: SmackDown Superstars, which of course this isn't going to go to well as he is basically there to drop off a mic Kurt Angle and to get removed from this area by JBL. Then we have these two running down this entire wrestling promotion with these promos that can be deemed as work shoot [this is a wrestling terminology; meaning running the line between the wrestling world and the real world, simply put there is/are an element or more of truth to what they are saying depending on the individual's perspective.]

* Rob Van Dam/RVD comes out with Bill Alfonso: to have a shoot promo [this is a wrestling terminology that basically means; there is at least an element or of truth to what they are saying are saying] between them, Partially towards  in The Anti-ECW Crusaders: SmackDown Superstars and on other things as well; in response to this; Rhino attacks, but Sabu appears to protect his friend RVD which sets up this unscheduled match between these two legendary ECW wrestlers Rhino vs. Sabu right now.

Comments: I am going to speculate here that they were told that everyone and I do mean everyone involved in this match don't or didn't have a lot of time to work with on some research they had 6 minutes, which I am not complaining about. But having said that everything is done at a greased lightning pace, so you will see these competitors in this match just quickly move on to the next oncoming action. The greatest example of the speed of this match/match slot would be CRAZY performing a standing moonsalt onto Guido and then just getting up to carry on, but we have the Referee [John Finnegan] and Styles on commentary doing both what comes naturally to them, Finnegan counts 1 on a pin-fall and likewise Styles puts it over as a 1 count and kick out by Guido, yes CRAZY finishes off the sequence properly which may have led Finnegan and consequently Styles to do what they did, I should very quickly point out I am just saying this as a excellent point of how quickly this match/match slot moves and not as negative. Everyone in this particular sequence is doing what comes to them naturally and at the beginning of this match slot Styles does make reference to I am going to paraphrase here, because he uses adult language, but Styles does make reference to the let's just go with poor man.

Basic Result: "The Insane Luchador" SUPER CRAZY picks up the W.

Chosen by: Me; I chose this pay-per-view just based on freshening things up as I haven't done an ECW [Extreme Championship Wrestling] pay-per-view yet, I also haven't done anything north of the 2000's for awhile and I know this is meant to be just an ECW pay-per-view but I have gone with WWE/ECW, because it is under their umbrella and everything else that comes with that and I have no doubt at some point either now or in the future someone will complain that I didn't make reference to this or make it known or something other.

Comments: as the attributes would suggest this is/was an excellent match to kick-off this pay-per-view. There is a problem straight off the bat Chris Jericho comes out as Lionheart which makes sense, but he comes out to "Break The Walls Down" Y2J Chris Jericho and not the theme entrance of "With Custom Tron" [full disclosure this is the only name I could find for this entrance music so it could be completely wrong or hopefully right. But just to cover my back I found it from his WCW; World Championship Wrestling days, but considering at this point the WWE owns all the rights to these other two wrestling promotions, they should have gave him the proper entrance music; come on guys let's try and keep kayfable alive show we and yes I had to learn all of this whilst researching it.] I mean as things are what really makes this look stupid is we have Joey Styles on commentary I am paraphrasing and in a nutshell here he is talking about Lionheart be for Y2J [but then again he is coming out to Y2J's entrance music.] Whilst I am on commentary team for some reason Foley brings up about Styles being emotional and/or Styles thanking people like the WWE for tonight. I mean we have fully making reference again to Styles being emotional after this match. On reflection I hope Foley is getting fed these lines from backstage, but if he isn't this is not cool. I will let it slide this once because it has recently happened, but if it continues on anything then, because I am English I understand subtext this will quickly get the old and it will reflect on my markings.

Now if you have been around wrestling long enough you would know what I'm about to say next isn't being unkind. It is just the way Storm is; he is a wrestler, wrestler a very high quality technical wrestler that brings so much to the table. But he has never been one for the gimmicks and the pedantry of wrestling or any of that.

But having said there are two glitchy moments of wrestling; Jericho performs this Double-under Hook Simplex Pin and as you can see he has let go of the far arm, but quickly adjusts to put his hand on his arm for a count of two. Moving on we have a Cradle Piledriver being attempted by Storm which Jericho reverses and does the Backdrop reversal where Storm should go over the top and onto his back, but in this case he goes over on his front.

Basic Result: The Impact Players [Lance Storm with Justin Credible, Jason Knight & Dawn Marie] pick up the W.
