Comments: well they went out all guns blazing in this final section of this pay-per-view. The only thing if you read this content in chronological order, you would have known I had picked up about Heman making reference to I am paraphrasing here count outs to apply we need a winner here, but when Bigelow throws The Hitman out of the ring the Referee [Joey Marella] does the 10- count as normal and whilst I'm here Savage puts over on commentary both competitors, but The Hitman in particular.

Wait! Here comes another Referee [Earl Hebner] to inform our match Referee [Joey Marella] some shady tactics have taken place and informing The Finkel our Ring announcer, even when he misunderstands he announces the second time that this match must continue.

Basic Result:  Bret "The Hitman" Hart is your inaugural King of the Ring and new No1 Contender for the WWF Championship

* Macho Man" Randy Savage: Commentary dash from the commentary table to embrace The Hitman to complement what Savage was saying on commentary and then he goes back to the commentary table [simultaneously The Hitman's entrance theme is playing "Heart Attack"]

* Bret "The Hitman" Hart's Coronation: with "Mean" Gene Okerlund doing the proceedings King Bret "The Hitman" Hart and then interview with the new King of the WWF, but before they can say too much another King steps forward in the form of Jerry " The King" Lawler and leaves his mark on this pay-per-view so The Hitman has a long journey on one side of the mountain just to spend a few minutes at the top for another King to push him out of his throne so he can reclaim it just to watch The Hitman tumbledown the other side of the mountain and Ross put across how terrible this situation is and then signs off this pay-per-view.

Comments: taking everything into consideration this is a fair outcome. On commentary firstly we have; having their minds blown by previous events of the last match/match slot as this is a massive turn of events which is [this is a consistent theme throughout] we have Heenan talking about the Gunns education and then it mysteriously cuts out and then in a few moments the commentary Heenan continues talking about it. I don't know what actually happened you this sounds like it actually took place in 1993 so what I am suggesting is no one has edited anything out, but just to cover my back I could always be wrong I don't know.

I'm not being condescending here; but experienced wrestling fans would know how to read this situation as in this match/match slot here and now. I feel sorry for this match/match slot, because it does everything it is designed to do. On the outside I know this is not going to be too flattering, but it gives the crowd and opportunity to basically go to the bathroom, maybe get some food and have a break and yes they are still here for this match/match slot but mixed with these reasons/opportunities you also have the crowd and as I have already referenced the commentary team coming down/talking about what just happened in this pay-per-view.

Meanwhile in the ring; it also does what it is designed to do and that is tell a small story of as Scott Steiner makes reference to in this match slot about somebody being too cocky and it elevates the younger talent.

That's why I have been reasonable with the attribute marking, because it literally does everything it is designed to do and there is no way that the crowd was going to run the risk of majorly missing any other match on this card, because minus this one every match/match slot had something riding on it in one way or another.

Comments: in one way or another they made this section of this pay-per-view look and feel like a big deal which is obviously, because you have two big wrestlers, doing the wrestling over the biggest championship in this company at this time in history; including the Asian photographers, the crowd participation and the highly controversial conclusion to this match. I mean this is why this section of the pay review gets 10/10 in the match storyline slot, because it does everything that you could possibly want it to do, to a perfection level. Because I don't want to give too much away I will just say it is a newsworthy turn of events.

Comments: as you can see between these two wrestlers this match is precisely what you expected being, Ross does make a blooper referring to Perfect having tape on his fingers, but it isn't Perfect it is The Hitman; Heenan points out Ross makes the mistake and Savage didn't even notice. But as I have now and again referenced in other pay-per-views at one point or another, it is really difficult to overly criticise somebody like Ross when he is so enthusiastic and for 98% of the time on the button.

In this match we have a suplex over the ropes to the outside; this is completely speculation because I don't know. This looks like a plan spot yes they both take a bum, but at the same time it looks clean as if it was planned which it most probably was. I was just thinking I would bring this up because I know at some point in the future, if someone watched this match and said I didn't reference it, well I have said it now.

Comments: as I have already indicated this is good, but I should have read the signs or in this case listened to the signs, at the beginning of this pay-per-view with Vince McMahon setting out The King of the Ring brackets/tournament he clearly states that Tatanka is undefeated then between this commentary team they point out that both of these competitors are undefeated and then eventually the penny dropped [to be continued momentarily later] Ross interviewed Bigelow during this match, on-screen in this square like Ross did with "The Hitman" earlier on in the night.

Basic Result: Draw - "The Beast from the East" Bam Bam Bigelow gets a bye into the final of The King of the Ring and this is where I would like to finish off my point from earlier yes Vince doesn't make it known that both of these competitors in this match had undefeated records [where if he had made this known I may have more than likely to be fair to myself picked up on this much sooner than what I did,] but by the commentary pointing it out and finally I finally realised that what is the best way to protect both wrestlers with undefeated records just let them draw here and problem solved. But then the question has to be why booked this match in the first place, if essentially you are backing yourself into a corner, where you don't want to lose one undefeated record. But we all know that Mr McMahon over especially later on in his booking career or specifically in more recent times like to book himself into a corner that he couldn't get out of without some level of damage to the feud or characters in question. But at least for here and now in this time in history, this made coherent and logical sense.

* Lex Lugar on the microphone: asks for basically five more minutes, but then quickly takes off the elbow pad and attacks Tatanka.

* Jim Ross: Commentary updates The King of the Ring graphic brackets and then we go back to this situation in the ring involving the previous two competitors.

* "Mean" Gene Okerlund: interviewer, interviews The Hitman and Mr. Perfect as they are up next to see who takes on  "The Beast from the East" in the final of The King of the Ring, based on what just happened with the previous match. Okerlund's job is very important here, because in summary he takes elements of the Ross's interview with The Hitman from earlier on in the night and puts a slightly different spin on some of his comments. But for those younger people out there not as a heel, this is a very quick and efficient way to stoke the fire so that their match has more substance heading into it which is right now. So hence why I said it was important, because in this interview section Okerlund's job is to sit down the ground work for their match.

Comments: likewise it is a good section and it keeps the upbeat momentum of this pay-per-view going. I mean this match/match slot is essentially physically two big guys butting heads, basically haas vs. haas match [this is a wrestling terminology that basically means two big guys with basic wrestling skills.] But as it relates to Bigelow, this is an unfair statement. Because back in the day he was one of those big guys that actually had wrestling skills such as for one example a flying head butt from the top turnbuckle as a finisher and yes if you're wondering why this match has been slightly rated higher than its predecessor as I have highlighted one of Bigelow's biggest assets I must do the same for Duggan, his biggest asset was and is his connection to the live crowds, if my memory is correct he has only been a heel once in his career and it was in the WCW in on some research now in 2000 Team Canada.

Savage am paraphrasing here and in a nutshell he puts over all the competitors in this tournament for getting here.

* Terry Taylor: interviewer The Smoking Gunns: Billy & Bart Gunn [kayfabe; this means the theatrical and character side of wrestling and they are brothers, but not in real life] with their tag team partners The Steiner Brothers: Rick "Dogface Gremlin" & Scott Steiner [on both counts they are 100% brothers] as they take on the WWF Tag Team Champions Money Inc: "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase & Irwin R. Schyster and their tag team partners The Headshrinkers: cousins - Samu & Fatu - Afa's nephew [with Samu's father/Fatu's uncle Afa] as I have previously stated in other wrestling content the Anoa'i family is without a shadow of doubt it cornerstone of professional wrestling and I have just remembered we have another member of this family on this card as well Yokozuna cousin of Fatu and nephew of Afa.

* The Finkel: Ring announcer says the stipulations and then introduces "The Narcissist" Lex Luger: he does is entrance, Heenan makes reference to both of these converters are undefeated then the commentary team discuss the unfair advantage Luger has steel in his arm in some capacity, in fact Heenan gets out again the Brain Scan to point it out but accidentally highlights the wrong arm as someone decides to switch cameras so his circle type shape is on the wrong side, o he draws arrows to it and potentially what it has in it.

The Referee's [Earl Hebner & Mike Chioda] are trying to get him to wear an elbow pad, but he has no interest in it, so they inform The Finkel that he announces if he doesn't wear an elbow pad he will be eliminated from the tournament, which he is furious by this but he does it eventually. The Finkel introduces the other opponent in this match and it is the Native American Tatanka. Lugar attacks Tatanka the bell sounds he throws him over the top rope and goes back to posing in his mirror. Tatanka comes back into the ring and pushes Lugar's mirror on top of him. Tatanka pulls the mirror of him to get to him to get down to business with our Referee [Mike Chioda] partially assisting these two other people to get this mirror out of the ring, but don't worry about our two opponents getting hurt; they are working on getting on the outside of the ring on the opposite side. Ross tries to put over that Tatanka destroyed Lugar's mirror, but you didn't. Unless Ross means with something like baby oil smudges, but that isn't destroying it, you can easily wipe it off.

Comments: it is a good section and it keeps the upbeat momentum of this pay-per-view going. Apologies if you find this offensive as in the name of this camera; it goes by the name of Brain Scan, it is where Heenan in this case has the technology to draw on screen, you know the old-fashioned technology that is still used in the modern world in some capacity by sports pundits use on live events or replays like for example John Madden to dissect the potential or previous play. But in this Heenan draws a basic baseball bat and dots to re-enact Mr. Perfect spitting out his chewing gum from his mouth and hitting it with his hand and Heenan is putting over that basically it was a great hit going, going on that kind of thing.

Heenan accidentally yet quickly corrects himself when he calls Ross Gorilla Monsoon, Ross says I will take that as in it is a great honour to be mistaken as Monsoon.

During the match we have Ross interviewing "The Hitman" [he appears in a square on screen] in a nutshell he asked who would you like to face out of this match which is currently taking place right now? The WWE or AEW should be thinking about bringing this interview segment back, it is something productive, elegant and brings an element of realism to the world of wrestling.

For the match itself as I have already indicated it is good, but there is one small botch, it is where Mr. Hughes looks to potentially perform a spinebuster [I am not saying this is what was meant to happen, but this is something for you to look for] so Mr. Perfect comes running off the ropes Mr. Hughes goes into performer in move and they just collapse on top of one another, but simultaneously Mr. Perfect carries on.

Basic Result: Mr. Perfect books himself a spot in the next round vs. "The Hitman."
