The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 49: Sea Change by AverageMansReviews

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 49: Sea Change by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this is another good episode.

Storyline/Character developments/Moral message: in short this episode does get much better once we leave Earth, on to the character developments there are these romantic character developments between two characters, but I am interested in Megatron just switching off this character because he is panicking and I wouldn't say irritating Megatron but it is clear he will not put up with it either, but then Megatron only turns and back on because he has a use for him and the moral message is basically something to the effect of "I would still love you regardless of what shape you take."

Artistic visions/Action sequences: now because of these two elements either separately or together are the reasons why this episode gets given the mark it does, because there are plenty of things to see or happening such as some of our characters falling down a waterfall [this waterfall goes down and then levels out and then down again,] on a very quick side note only one character goes through this entire sequence and these underwater sequences and underwater battle sequences, these are very good.

This episode receives: 7/10, be it in outer space or on this different planet, this episode has a good selection to work with but these romantic character developments are cheesy and whilst I'm on the subject just to cover my own back the moral message element in this review is just an outline of what I think they were trying to say in one way or another.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 48: Kremzeek! by AverageMansReviews

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 48: Kremzeek! by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this is another good episode.

Storyline/Moral message: generally speaking the storyline is okay and the moral message element is "Never fooled around with electricity."

Action sequences/Artistic visions: I will talk about both of these elements in one sequence, it is where we have Optimus Prime [in his transformed mode of Freightliner FL86 cab over semi truck,] on these tracks chasing after this train with some other Autobots hanging onto him in one way or another, it shows very good imagination and it is a small sequence but something engaging nonetheless.

This episode receives: 6/10, now this episode does take some time to get going; to be a little bit more specific, without giving too much away it is where this small number of these Autobots take this journey to another country, where Omega Supreme first appears in this episode [and if it should happen that you don't know this character and what he looks like; basically you won't be able to miss him he is the massive, gigantic Autobot.] But my point is this; this is where this episode begins to get slowly and steadily more and more positive movement.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 47: The Gambler by AverageMansReviews

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 47: The Gambler by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good.

Storyline: it starts as soon as the opening sequence has finished in outer-space, without giving too much away I feel different about this episode in different sections of it, like roughly speaking; that was a good start, that doesn't feel the same, but then again it does get better the more you watch of it.

Artistic visions/Action sequences: the artistic visions are well-placed in this episode, be it the outer-space elements or the Colosseum or the dodgy casino [when I say the dodgy casino I mean this in a storyline sense,] these elements look engaging and imaginative and the ending section action sequence can be put in the same group for its well-planned vibrant nature as well.

This episode receives: 6/10, simply put I said/had this mark in mind after watching this episode, so I am just going to stick to it. Because I don't like splitting hairs too much and as I can only pick one mark per a review here we are.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 46: The Secret of Omega Supreme by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this is another episode which is lots of fun.

Origins storylines/storyline: briefly this episode takes the viewers through one character and how/why he has these strong feelings for revenge for another selection of characters and how another character was born. There are many characters being used in different locations such as outer space dealing with different things as well.

Character developments: the character which his name is in the title of this episode there is a little bit of character developments

Action sequences: the action sequences are excellent

This episode receives: 10/10, this is just something for you to look out for; how  come when Cosmos fell off  Astrotrain [in his transformed mode of Space shuttle,] Astrotrain is none the wiser, it wasn't that subtle in the first place. But having said that this episode is deserving of this mark [on a quick side note I have gone through all the previous episodes of this TV program and changed the words state into mode, if you have found the word state, please let me know and I will change it, but I have gone through them all up to this point.]

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 45: Quest for Survival by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is lots of fun.

Storyline/Character developments/Comedy level: the storyline is good, but from a foundation level it is right on the money it keeps everything progressing with a lively pace as the audience gets transported from this location or situation to another location or situation or return to another location or situation.

The character developments are engaging and easy to understand, be it where the Insecticons become very unhappy with Megatron firstly and then it plays out by showing itself as friction and distrust between the Insecticons and Megatron, there are other elements of friction or chemistry between different characters in this episode as well, but I really don't want to give too much away and briefly for one comedy element or sequence in this episode; it would be where Blaster is playing music, it may be doing the job but it is also irritating or something a little bit higher at the same time [yes just for the record this entire sequence including elements before the bits and pieces I have pointed out can be seen as an action sequence, but in this case I will see it as a comedy element.]

Artistic visions/Action sequences: the swarm of Insecticons scenes or sequences are excellently managed to show their massive numbers and just for a little bit of variety this needs to be mentioned a selection of Autobots use the word "Retreat" when they are battling with the Insecticons.

This episode receives: 10/10, there is so much happening in this episode that after everything is said and done I went for this mark.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 44: Child's Play by AverageMansReviews

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 44: Child's Play by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is excellent

Storyline: now after the opening credits the viewers get put down possibly in the middle of this situation where the Decepticons have taken over this sporting event [I say possibly in the middle of this situation,] because that's how this feels, I like this approach it just feels like this episode hits the ground running, I like a little bit of variety in anything I watch and by doing this it frees them up some time to do other things with the time of the episode. But I have to say the storyline is a little bit cheesy and there is this attempted dissection sequence, which I did find a little bit strange this species can understand the Autobots and the Decepticons, so they can have conversations and if it is just to see how they work [there is one character which is interested in doing this] they can still talk about this as well, this is one of those points where the more you think about it, the more it does take a little bit of the shine off this episode, because it doesn't make sense.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: the action sequences and the artistic visions; these two elements have lots of imagination and fun to them as well, it could be in this sporting event where many characters are involved in one way or another or without giving too much of the storyline away, having a smaller selection of characters being in this different place where everything looks bigger.

This episode receives: 9/10, as I have been saying throughout this review there are plenty of imaginative elements in this episode, but my opinions on the storyline keeps changing the more I think about it, but to be fair this mark represents everything else in this episode.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 43: Make Tracks by AverageMansReviews

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 43: Make Tracks  by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good

Artistic visions: this episode takes place at night which is firstly something different and secondly because of this; the viewers get to see many lights on to make these landscapes and other elements stand out which is all good.

Action sequences: these scenes or sequences do a lot for this episode they just wake up things; what with the chasing sequence in the air, a rescue element with an element of comedy and plenty of weapons being used.

Moral message: straight off the bat, this isn't a straightforward moral message piece, in fact it is very tiny; where this character says something to the effect of "One thing is for sure I won't steal a car again."

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode does get better the more you watch of it and after everything is said and done this mark feels right.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 42: The God Gambit by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good

Storyline/Cultural elements: the storyline is solid and there are cultural elements consistently throughout this episode in one way or another.

Singing/Comedy level: Starscream sings this little song in the form of a nursery rhyme and this can be seen as a comedy element as well, on top of that; there are other comedy elements, they are small and quick but they are there.

Artistic visions/Action sequences: to give you these two elements in one example I choose this; the outer-space sequences between the Autobot [Cosmos in  mode of state of UFO] and the Decepticon [Astrotrain in transformed mode of Space shuttle] with two other Decepticons on board him [Starscream and Thrust;] looks clean, tidy and a good action sequence.

This episode receives: 6/10, all I can say here is; this mark looks and feels right.

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 41: The Golden Lagoon by AverageMansReviews

The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Part 2, Volume 4, Disc 1] Episode 41: The Golden Lagoon by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good

Character developments: there is good friction/chemistry between Megatron and Starscream, it depends where you are in this episode is depending what you get between these two characters.

Action sequences: the viewers get to see these sequences of the Autobots vs. the Decepticons, there is much action happening all over the place and these sequences are a big asset to this episode.

Moral message element/Storyline: there are environmental elements to this episode where this Autobot [Beachcomber,] finds this place and at the closing scene, he is sitting there on this log saying to himself "We won." I will continue this sentence for him, because after he says this; there are the closing credits, but I think what he was trying to say or suggest was this; "We won, but at what cost."

This episode receives: 6/10, I think taking everything into consideration this episode is comfortably resting in this mark area. Now because this has been bugging me, I apologize if my episode numbers are out by one; I know I have brought this up once before in this episode: The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 2, Volume 1, Disc 1] Episode 17: Autobot Spike, where is says it is episode 16, but the first season has 16 episodes 8 episodes on each, so by my calculations it should be episode 17 hence why I said episode 17 in that title, so when everything is said and done I am not sure if I'm going to have 98 or 99 episodes, but either way I am sure no one is going to criticize me for one episode out.
