5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/other effects/transformation/environmental

On our journeys to find Zeo Sub Crystals with young Aisha; Part II: Storyline and Character [Character developments;] we meet this wise woman Ashela which we quickly find out if the great auntie Ashela and basically Aisha is the chosen one to fix this problem with the animals, so she sends someone back to her dimension and timeline with the final Zeo Sub Crystal. Before somebody gets sent back we have Zordon appearing over time and different dimensions to basically say I knew one of you would stay and your decision to stay has altered your family's history and when the world goes back to the present your family will be joining you.

I strongly dislike this kind of rubbish, because I am to be a nerd so I know dealing with different timelines including different dimensions on top, nothing is guaranteed so firstly Zordon cannot guarantee this, because it hasn't happened yet and if he has foreseen it, you should know that things hardly go smoothly on this grand scale and I know there is a possibility that you change history and dimensions so much that at best you rub out that particular timeline as if it never existed, but then Aisha is now going to use skills that she has learned from one dimension/timeline, because she used to work in an animal rescue centre. But she is going to use those skills in another dimension/timeline which could also affect the future of the other dimension.

Goldar & Rito Revolto 3...2...1...0 kaboom: Action and Art; the Command Centre gets blown up and sequence from beginning to end is excellent action and excellent imagination and creativity to pull it off. For the younger generations you may think that this looks slightly old by today's standards, but if you do something like this correctly it still holds up very well indeed even in 2023 and beyond.

This episode receives: 6/10, this episode is good; this mark is meant to represent on one hand the negatives I have discussed, but also a fair mark because on the other hand this episode does have more positives than negatives, it is just as you can clearly see the negatives are big in my opinion.

Sadly this is where we leave the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, but before we do I just have one more thing to sort out this TV franchise has some awards accredited to its name; 3 Nominees IGN Summer Movie Awards 2013 IGN Award Best TV DVD or Blu-Ray For seasons 8-12 on DVD. And the same award ceremony/event just a different year 2012 Best TV DVD or Blu-Ray For "Seasons 1-7: From Mighty Morphin to Lost Galaxy Collection" on DVD. 5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/other effects/transformation/environmental

On our journeys to find Zeo Sub Crystals with young Aisha; Part I: Storyline; on her journey she accepts guidance from this young girl called Tanya that will keep her safe and in short take her to her tribe to find out where this Zeo Sub Crystal is from this wise woman called Ashela.

Meanwhile The Aquatician Rangers/The Alien Rangers vs. Hydro Hog the Emperor of the Dark Waters: Character [Character developments] and Action; Hydro Hog the Emperor of the Dark Waters is a very powerful enemy of  The Aquatician Rangers/The Alien Rangers; he has the ability to absorb water which is not only not good for The Aquatician Rangers/The Alien Rangers as you will see it will leave them very close to death and of course as planet Earth is precisely 71% water it doesn't look good for us either.

Let's check in on Goldar & Rito Revolto on their mission to blow up the Command Centre again: Comedy; well in short they have just set it up the Destruction Mechanism to enter into its final stages, Rita Repulsa appears to I am paraphrasing; have you set off the device yet? Which of course Revolto says no. Because you have something to do beforehand. Goldar obviously questions him about this which he says relax.

This episode receives: 6/10, this episode is good; meaning it is solidly good and it does its job, by progressing things and yes I did try and alternate between the storylines begin with as I made reference to when we entered this section of this series that I had forgotten how things play out, but never mind I still have done 3 to 5 things about one episode.

The Golden Child 1986 by AverageMansReviews

The Golden Child 1986 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning/Disclaimer: there flashing effects/colourful/transformation/stabbing/shooting/references to sexual assault and human trafficking/torturing/impaling/animal cruelty/burning. Disclaimer: before I continue with this content I should point out some things; such as this was the 1980s' so obviously it was a completely different world back then and for those that lived through this time period we had this cultural cohesiveness including the opposite of cultural stereotypes such as for an example the original trilogy of the Karate Kid from 1984-1989 which incorporate both cohesiveness and stereotypes. The reason why I am discussing this here; this so that anything I say later in this content it is not meant as racial or racism; it is just meant as it is without being negatively racial or/and racism. You see at some point I will have to talk about the elephant in the room, but I can't do that until I pointed out that; this is just the way it is.

Tibet: briefly; this child known as The Golden Child [J.L. Reate:] she is incredibly powerful, he lives in this monastery with these Shaolin monks, but unfortunately he is kidnapped by Sardo Numspa [Charles Dance:] he is a powerful and mystical being which wants to kill The Golden Child on behalf of his master; The Thing and The Dark Lord [voiced by Frank Welker:] this entity that wants to destroy anything good. But there is only a small selection of people standing in their way and just for two examples; Chandler Jarrell/other characters and names [Eddie Murphy:] a child investigator that unknown to him is also The Chosen One to be the saviour of The Golden Child. But don't worry he won't be on his own; he will haveKee Nang [Charlotte Lewis:] she is a martial artist and a daughter of Old Goupa [Victor Wong:] he is a Shaolin monk, they both believe in this is prophecy and they both this is speculation on my part, because I don't know they live at this temple as well.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 94 minutes film is; well is good as briefly Chandler Jarrell/other characters is just being himself and what Murphy brings to the table; but then we go through this slump which it takes time to find itself again that is for sure; basically it needs Murphy's character Chandler Jarrell/other characters and names to be on board with what is happening to him and to stop being in denial or sceptical of this situation that lays be for him. Because after this takes place; it becomes a very Murphy like characters and performance again; which from this era Murphy could either carry a project or/and make a colossal impact, yes if you're wondering you do get that high level of performance from Murphy you get that smooth, enthusiastic and faultless timing of his comedy skills; such as briefly; he is in a difficult situation and instead of being the standard even tough guy or slightly frightened he goes with; giving this individual some advice of; I am paraphrasing here. I have some tic-tacs on me, take as many as you want because your breath smells.

Now let's talk about the elephant in the room; this film is very similar to another film of this year just a bit earlier in 1986 and it is a cult film; Big Trouble in Little China Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2021/03/big-trouble-in-little-china-1986-by.html in fact there are only months between them 02/07/1986 and this film 12/12/1986 including we have some of the cast of both films working on both of these films; James Hong as David Lo Pan/another character in this film Dr. Hong: helping towards defeating the evil forces, Victor Wong as  Egg Shen and in this film see above and then Peter Kwong as Rain and in this film Tommy Tong: full disclosure again I can't remember this character I just looked down the cast list. The reason why I was away I was in the disclaimer section at the top was these two films are similar as in they come from a background of fantasy cultural. I want to say this before anyone else pointed out; one project is being led by Kurt Russell as Jack Burton whilst this film is being led by Murphy that is all I am going to say about that; I should just point out based on figures that are in front of me; this project as in the one I am now dictating is the only one with any form of profit margin again based on the figures that are in front of me; Big Trouble in Little China has a loss of roughly double figures of millions [it is difficult to say based on what is in front of me so if I say at least double figures of millions it wouldn't be lying] likewise if I said the same for this film The Golden Child but instead $100 million profit this wouldn't be a lie it just wouldn't be an accurate truth/fact, so take that as you will.

But back to this film; we have this small action/art sequence where The Golden Child shows a little bit of his power as she turns this Pepsi can [I know excellent product placement] into this dancing person made out of this Pepsi can to entertain Til [Randall 'Tex' Cobb:] he is a and I don't mean this disrespectfully; but simpleton servant to Sardo Numspa; which this sequence uses stop motion and go motion; this is very imaginative and creative but Sardo Numspa puts a stop to this sequence eventually.

Character developments, performances and voice performances; they are all good and with Murphy and Dance going head-to-head there is; excellent chemistry here between hero and villain.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; considering it really does take time to find its full stride of Murphy effect, this mark is after everything is said and done a reasonable and satisfying outcome and I have looked at both cast lists I just want to apologise if I don't think they have, but if I have missed out anyone of which was on the cast list and I have missed out. This film also has some awards accredited to its name; 2 Nominees Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 1987 Saturn Award Best Fantasy Film and Young Artist Award 1988 Young Artist Award Best Young Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama J.L. Reate.

Average Extra Special of: Holly Willoughby Steps Down as a Presenter of This Morning 10/10/2023 by AverageMansReviews

Disclaimer: it is important for me to say that I will never condone criminal activity, but as it relates to this situation from my perspective so it is opinion/speculation based on why it happened and for anyone else that I bring up in this content I am not and I will repeat that again I am not defending them either. So just to highlight again this is an opinion/speculation based and nothing more.

The reality of this entire scandal is: I do believe that individually or together This Morning and/or ITV didn't move swiftly enough to deal with the Schofield situation, Holly Willoughby giving the are you okay? Speech to the outcome of the investigation behind the Schofield situation [I mean I have had a brief look and it does feel like it has been most definitely swept under the carpet.]

I mean and I mean this as nicely as I can; This Morning is hobbling along waiting even for the next scandal or dying a slow and painful death.

The sad reality is; I am not giving this individual [Gavin Plumb] a motive for what he intended to do with Willoughby which has now prompted her to step down from This Morning as of Tuesday 10/10/2023 full disclosure I have not listened to her farewell address; I mean I know bits and pieces but that is it, because I really couldn't care less, while I am on the subject of things I don't care about; I don't care about the state of Schofield and/or Willoughby relationship as friends or not. Because with brain damage and mental health on top, I could see something coming, I should clarify I didn't see this drastic action being taken. But however when she gave that are you okay speech she and This Morning through Schofield [I am not defending him, I'm just being logical and reasonable] under the bus including his family, which he may have deserved that but they didn't. So in essence it is okay for  Willoughby and This Morning to intentionally and willingly put his family at risk [once again I am fully aware Schofield did it to them as well so not defending him,] but they shouldn't have added to it with this whole are your okay speech. When it was clearly designed to attempt to make Willoughby look and sound white as white, but it had the opposite effect where the British public generally speaking of what I have seen didn't buy it, in fact the great British public on her stepping down asked the most important question; are you okay?

The future of This Morning: well they can try and move on from another scandal, but when are they including ITV going to realise that realistically the best thing to do is cancelled this program. I mean I have to point out it is somewhat arrogant of ITV and This Morning to think that they can just keep going with the attitude of "There is nothing to see here folks, move on go about your day."

Sky News UK made the UK look like a complete joke: now when this story broke that Willoughby will be stepping down from This Morning; they got there is reporter to cover this story now originally and this is very true I was under the impression he was somewhere like the London which I was thinking okay fair enough. But later on I looked again and he wasn't reporting it from London UK; he was reporting it from the latest war zone in the world today. Here is me like I should imagine everyone else going give respect to this ongoing situation. On a little bit of research I know it potentially looked unpleasant for Willoughby and her family if this scenario happened. But there is what she and her family have been put through and then there is this freshly made war zone where I am not going to dictate on what activity has been taking place there, but I can easily say; it is so much worse than what Willoughby and her family have been put through. My point being before I receive any backlash; is only about perspective; Willoughby and her family are safe and can easily move on from this situation, but for those that are surviving and coming out of this war zone situation, have to mourn those that they have lost and start from scratch, just to finish off I should just cover my back by saying it just wasn't Sky News this story there were others in one way or another.

Heart of Stone 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful/drugs/shooting/stabbing/suicide/medical

You are aware of the existence of James Bond 007, Mission Impossible franchises, Minority Report 2002 and XXX 2002 right?: Summary/paraphrasing as not to give too much away; when this mission goes south in Italy, it leaves MI6 Agent Rachel Stone/another name [Gal Gadot:] Tech support, but be warned everything is not as it first seems.

Generally speaking: I mean whomever gave the green light for this project to go into production either needs demoting or and yes I am aware it is never good for somebody to lose their job or but still fired for this one. Because as I have just made reference to why would people want to watch this film when basically in one way or another you have the real McCoy in other projects; this film is just a mesh of them and the consequences of that but in fairness and balance it could be or this film could just be the framework and pacing of this 122 minutes film is just really boring; in fact for me this film is just really boring regardless of any option I or/and you want to take.

Basically we have a James Bond 007 style opening including action sequence before the highly engaging art sequence opening with music to this is all good. I mean generally speaking the action sequences are of James Bond-esque standard mixed with XXX

Character developments and performances; the concept of a pack of playing cards is/was a imaginative concept. But generally speaking the character developments are solidly okay, I mean they did pinch a little from XXX and likewise the performances were mildly okay; you know they are what they are. Now unfortunately how can I put this nicely? I may as well just come out and say it. I only watched this film some days ago and the performance of Gadot is not very remembable; the only reason and is a justifiable reason of if you are going to be put in a leading position you are responsible for carrying the workload and the success or mediocrity or failure of a film/any project really including TV. So as we may have already guessed based on my opinion; with the struggling film, she really needed to put this film on her back and go “This is my project I have got this. Okay this film may still fail but it won't be by my hands and I need to make sure that a show the right people that I can make something and/or carry a film on my own or with someone or with a cast." It is basically about putting yourself in the shop window for the next or/and future projects whatever form they take, but and I am going to put this really nicely I do think this was an opportunity missed by her to do this; by putting herself in the shop window.

This film receives: 3/10, this film is poor; as I have already alluded to there are better franchises or/and films out there that do this kind of thing better. I mean if there are any fans of Gal Gadot take a look at this film but for me and the person I watch some of these films with both agree that this film is really boring. This film has 1 Nominee to its name and it is Jupiter Award 2024 Best International Actress Gal Gadot. So you can take that as; what the hell do I know.

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful/drugs/choking/shooting/racism/terrorism/breaking/running/medical

You would be happy to miss this flight: summary; we meet this Federal Air Marshal Bill Marks [Liam Neeson:] he is a former NYPD Officer that is struggling with his drinking problem, but in one way or another he has a rocky history. Whilst he is on this flight he will be framed for this terrorist activity, so he has to solve this mystery on this flight before it lands.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 106 minutes film is good; the layout of confined space; at least we have a little bit of authentic realism as our Federal Air Marshal Marks is reading these messages from this individual and because the screen is damaged; the damaged screen appears on screen [for the viewers;] this is a good bit of imaginative art as well and yes because it uses the confined space outlay we do have this big and lengthy action sequence towards the later stages of this project; which often a lot of chaos and it looks neat and tidy in its construction and mechanics [even though it doesn't look neat and tidy.]

Character developments and performances; likewise the character developments do follow the standard character types for this style of film and the performances; this is very much a cast of good performances they all gel well together. Nilsson is flanked by Michelle Dockery as Nancy, a flight attendant; she assists him to keep off the booze and tries to help him Julianne Moore as Jen Summers; she assists Federal Air Marshal Marks with getting over the sensation of the plane taking off and also tries to help him in this film

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; this is one of those other films where if you haven't seen it as my marking would suggest it is a good watch, but then again you could go sometime before maybe seeing it again. This film also has 1 Nominee to its name; Golden Trailer Awards 2014 Golden Trailer Best Thriller For the domestic theatrical trailer.

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful/drugs/choking/shooting

EZ Mart Quickstop: in a nutshell; this husband-and-wife Will and Lisa Spann [Gerard Butler and Jaimie Alexander:] are going through a very rough patch in their marriage to the point where Lisa is going to say with her parents for a while Barry and Anna Adams [Bruce Altman and Cindy Hogan:] they are aware of some degree of their daughter's marriage is on the rocks. But after stopping at this gas station to pick up some petrol/gas and other things she goes missing. Detective Paterson [Russell Hornsby:] he is on the case, but he is hardly professional based on the grounds without concrete evidence, but maybe a little bit of circumstantial evidence of a life insurance policy for Lisa he believes it is Will that is squarely in the frame, so Detective Paterson and Will do their own separate investigation. The framework, background music and pacing of this 95 minutes film; is just garbage really, really garbage; straight off the bat the script is one of those safe and reliable ones, but to execute that with this kind of framework and pacing, I mean I know what they are trying to do here with this occasional melodic really noticeable background sound and that is to try and create some atmosphere and foreboding that kind of thing, but the execution of this is just so poor and it really doesn't help when at the beginning of the film the viewers will see a scene that is much later on in the film and then the film starts at the beginning.

Action/Art: the action is the standard guns shooting, for a moment I think we get to see from Will's perspective. The art; there is this god awful explosion scene, meaning you can clearly see it is taking place in front of a green screen, you will know it when you see it, because it sticks out like a sore thumb, it is so ugly and there is some good-looking scenes when Will and Lisa are hugging.

Character developments and performances: all I can say about these character developments and performances is; if this was what they were going for and wanted, well they struck gold really. Generally speaking these character types are very generic consequently tedious and annoying the only ones that put in a solid performance is Gerard Butler as Will Spann and Cindy Hogan as Anna Adams; full disclosure I know she doesn't say too much, but it is one of those cases where you go; put in a solid performance and nothing will go wrong and whilst I am on the subject I know her husband hasn't got much to say either, but he comes over very annoying as in a character.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; I mean on one hand I wouldn't waste my time watching this film and yes I am fully aware of the hypocrisy here that I have just wasted my time watching this film. But on the other hand if there are any fans of Gerard Butler out there in Internet land, you could take a look at this film but I really, really wouldn't expect too much, keep your expectations nice and low so that a ladybird could win the limbo world championships and pick up gold; that is the kind of low I am talking about here.
