Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 5: Host: Host: Nicola Coughlan & Music: Foo Fighters by AverageMansReviews

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 5: Host: Host: Nicola Coughlan & Music: Foo Fighters by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is mature to adult themes/transformation/decomposing/Peter Mandelson/vehicle crash/reference to drugs, feminism, underage sex offender, the man formerly known as Prince Andrew so just Andrew, hanging, suicide, bodily functions, Epstein, animal cruelty and I will be using some adult censored languid references.

The Face of Comedy Award: Who Wants To Remain A Millionaire [short description: a interpretation of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: featuring Keir Starmer and Peter Mandelson;] excellent skit.

What A Life! [short description: with a magazine publication skit, where they nothing to print, so they ask a member of their staff about her life and a lot of weird stuff happens to her;] this skit is good fun.

Bag Organiser [short description: commercial about this product and another product which is let's just say for those untidy people;] this is good

QVC's The Jewellery Store [short description: their guest has or/and is going through something weird;] excellent little piece of uncomfortable mayhem.

Weekend Update [short description: a comical look back over recent news stories; featuring Keir Starmer, Peter Mandelson and the Hand in Hand in Hand;] the Hand in Hand in Hand went much better than the first time it was used in a skit: Hand in Hand; this segment is excellent fun.

Learn To Fly [short description: this flight needs a pilot, this skit concept is based on the track/music video of Learn To Fly released in 1999 by Foo Fighters;] it had a rough start; as it virtually signals/implies/references men think they can fly a plane, but for the rest of the skit; it gets better and better.

Foo Fighters [short description: second performance;] is I am completely guessing here and presuming it is another new track; but however this one was and is supremely much better than the first; well it couldn't get much worse, but let's be positive; it sounded like the Foo Fighters.

Worst Hen-Do Ever [short description: well has clearly been a slasher sequence of events taking place here, but there is always one friend late to an event and we hear her events;] excellent skit as they talk to than one friend that things that they are life is so important, compared to what a horrific scene of what previously has just taken place.

45 Seconds with Fouragres: Fruits and Vege [short description: a musical/singing song; it does what it says on the tin and made reference to Epstein;] top-quality musical number to finish this episode and the actual tune is really catchy; I just can't remember all the lyrics.

The Face of Tragedy Award: Nicola Coughlan opening monologue/sequence of events [short description: she talks about her career, taking cocaine before the show;] it has a whiff of feminism about it, but then again it is all of a dumpster fire regardless of the beginning section sounding feminist.

The Magic Faraway Tree Rap Song [short description: Coughlan has come up with a rap song to accompany her latest movie and this skit turns into a musical number;] basically this is another steaming pile of garbage; I listened to all kinds of alternative music, I couldn't even understand it and its presentation was cheap and very tacky, and yet again somewhere around the later stages more feminism

Foo Fighters [short description: first performance;] I believe it to be one of the new tracks and to be honest; brutally honest; it is manure, as I referenced earlier I come from the alternative music side of things, I was really looking forward to this performance. But I had a feeling that they would break out some of their new stuff as they recently did on another UK appearance [The Graham Norton Show: Friday night 22/02/2026] and it is just bad; you just have a lot of noise with yelling and the most annoying thing is; towards the final section of this track they proved they can still perform to a high level as there is a section in this track where they slow everything down. The person I watched some of this content with agreed with me that this was manure and they would rather listen to Slipknot now, because at least they have a tune or a beat; in short this was just dog manure.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; yes this episode does have some downsides, but the upsides comfortably outweighed the downsides.

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 4: Host: Jack Whitehall & Music Guests: Jorja Smith by AverageMansReviews

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 4: Host: Jack Whitehall & Music Guests: Jorja Smith by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is mature to adult themes in this content such as though Epstein files, flashing effects/colourful/rainbow community/references to neo-Nazism, Scott Mills, Andrew formerly known as Prince Andrew, suicide, Peter Mandelson and drugs

The Face of Comedy Award: Melania Trump; next door neighbour [short description: she appears as her next door neighbour's are having a barbecue, playing a drinking game; never ever have I, basically she denies anything to do with Epstein;] excellent opening skit.

The football/soccer player escort [short description: basically these children escort these players on to a football/soccer pitch; but in this occasion, we have these players trying to swap these escorts between themselves, for one example one may play badly, because their escort I am paraphrasing here; doesn't look the best;] it is a good-natured skit.

Mastermind [short description: this is a take on the British Game Show institution Mastermind: Contestant: Ben Michael: Occupation: Something in IT Specialists Subject: Things my mother has told me about other people I've never met and have no connection to:] the skit is authentically and by its execution of the highest standard possible.

Dad Swap [short description: commercial for this is an app for people looking for a suitable dad, but things get slightly twisted to the point where they have to point out it isn't incest:] excellent variety with an undertone of dark comedy, even though I know there is no incest is here.

Masters [short description: this is golf player has just won the Masters and everything turns into a lot of kissing; but don't worry we have the commentators keeping us on top of the action:] this skit is excellent fun.

Weekend Update [short description: a comical look back over recent news stories; featuring a story about a hedgehog.]

Peter Pan returns to the Darling's [short description: everyone in this skit is portraying his characters in their 40's and Pan is drunk:] this skit is brilliant fun.

Jorja Smith [second performance]

Cafe in the 1930s [short description: this skit is set in this timeframe, it is also black-and-white skit, we need this husband-and-wife that are discussing their situation and the fact is they are both gay and his mother is coming to see them and it she doesn't have a clue and I should point out for the younger generations back in this timeframe this sexuality option was a legal:] we do also have comedy moments from this time in history such as the slippery floor with sound effects and references to incest which are not incest.

The Face of Tragedy Award: Jack Whitehall's opening monologue [short description: he goes on about his wedding referencing Scott Mills and hoping for another pandemic, amongst other things:] for me this is just a complete miss, you know when the comedian gets on to that stage of life where they just wanted to about their family in their material? Well that is where Whitehall is and depending on the strength of that material, is depending how well it is going to go down, which as you can probably tell I found it incredibly flat.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent; they are seemingly found their groove and very much opened the net of their comedy reach, so it doesn't feel so concentrated on a limited specific section or sections, but now we have a two-week break and after that we are coming on Saturday 25/04/2026 back with a bang Host: Nicola Coughlan & Music: Foo Fighters

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 3: Host: Riz Ahmed & Music Guests: Kasabian by AverageMansReviews

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 3: Host: Riz Ahmed & Music Guests: Kasabian by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is mature to adult themes in this content, flashing effects/colourful effects/bodily functions/stabbing/medical/references to cancer

The Face of Comedy Award: Keir Starmer address the UK from Downing Street [short description: Prime Minister Starmer addresses the nation then leaves and then comes back indicating individually three celebrities for one example Harry Kane.]

Riz Ahmed opening monologue [short description: Britain's of all kinds like this it when things are a little bit rubbish; full disclosure yes I have had to censor that word.]

Mobile telephones being on loud [short description: a musical skit about telephones being on loud amongst other things.]

Great Big Crab Man [short description: mocking of The Traitors UK TV program.]

Operation [short description: a very serious and dark twist on this board game.]

OGFM [short description: a radio station that has a special guest Doctor that wants talk about prostate cancer, but continuously gets interrupted, until he puts in a musical performance; breaks it down old school.]

Kasabian [short description: first performance]

Weekend Update [short description: a comical look back over recent news stories; featuring a story about AI Fruit Love Island.]

The Royal Society of Literature [short description: set in the late 1800s; a challenge; to find literature of Gothic-Horror that put the fear into humankind.]

Kasabian [short description: second performance]

Easter Bunny [short description: The Easter Bunny is at a antinatal clinic/class with their partner.]

The Face of Tragedy Award:

This episode receives: 10/10, this episode is top-notch entertainment; I have no idea what happened between last weeks episode in this week's one? They were completely different where this week's episode they incorporated everything for everyone including but not limited to a passive swipe at an element of the rainbow community in The Easter Bunny skit; I have no idea, it is confusing, I know; I know it is perfectly acceptable and normal for episodes to have different markings, but it is somewhat unusual to go from a poor episode to everything working of one another; this is opinion based/speculation based; it's like that kind of sat down and said "Okay let's try not to do an episode like that again and we need to widen our net of variety." I showed finished this content on this very small point would this; I was absolutely dreading this episode after its predecessor, but if they focus on more keyword is variety your audience that is me will be either more forgiving, when either you want to make a point [providing what the subject matter is or something doesn't work for me; because the keyword again is; variety and with that being said it doesn't always have to work for me, as long as I can see or understand the valid point [yet again depending on the subject matter obviously.]

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 2: Host: Jamie Dornan & Music Guests: Wolf Alice by AverageMansReviews

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 2: Host: Jamie Dornan & Music Guests: Wolf Alice by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is mature to adult themes in this content, flashing effects/colourful effects/Nazi salute and reference to Swastika/burning including at some point me just telling it as it is with very little verbally any filter, but clearly remember to use some censoring of language I will also be making reference to a point in history just to make a valid points, an illegal sex acts and a convicted sex offender, male mutilation and reference to male chemical castration

The Face of Comedy Award: Bristol Airport [short description: musical skit about British/Irish people going on holiday to in this case Spain; essentially taking home with them, which in a nutshell makes it pointless going on holiday and they even make reference to this as well in this skit.

Fast food wrap roughly set in the 19th century [short description: musical skit about these workers working in the workout was on an assembly line for just a very small section of putting this container together.]

The Face of Tragedy Award: The MI5 Headquarters, London, 1997 [short description: involving Prince Andrew and the recently deceased Princes Diana [in reference to a skit from last weeks episode entitled The Last Supper with David Attenborough,] including reference to Elizabeth II and we get to see Sarah Ferguson and Peter Mandelson [short description: this agency has called in Prince Andrew with the idea to make Prince Charles more likeable; they need to make people around him more unlikeable; so they hand Andrew a massive folder of what they have planned.] Okay what brain-dead spastic came up with this idea? Because not only is it tone-deaf to these real-life current situations, everyone knows it is an unwritten rule in comedy, you don't touch an historic deaths in comedy unless you are somewhat involved ie Jewish and the Holocaust, even though I am fully aware they have linked the previous Attenborough skit to this one, you just don't touch Princess Diana and dying in any way shape or form.

Then we have Jamie Dornan; doing his opening monologue and apparently talking about one of his interests which is rocks that look like that look like potatoes and then being interrupted; I don't care if this is real or not, I know; I know there are two Irish people doing this back and forth which I made reference to earlier being okay in reference to Jewish and all that, but having one moment talking about the Royals and then Irish people talking about potatoes is just bad comedy; I mean why don't we go one step further and talk about the potato famine? [For most people like can't pick up subtext; I am very much being sarcastic.]

Hostage relationship status [short description: the kidnapper is sending out a message about the person he has as a hostage; but the hostage is worried about labels and where she is with this relationship.] Okay this is just cringeworthy and surprise surprise it just isn't funny.

A Battle Within [short description: we are on this film set where a soldier/mother and son are reunited, but this female performer keeps forgetting the family dynamic and basically wants to have sex with him; they try resetting the scene a few times, but then they try with a new female performer that just runs in and jumps on to our soldier, but he says it is essentially okay because he likes this one.] Well want someone to tell me in this context what is so funny about incest, yet again I find myself calling this TV show tone deaf, because on one hand everyone seems to have forgotten Harvey Weinstein and on the other hand, if this were the man groping a woman it wouldn't be funny, but as long as it is a man; that is okay... double standards much?

Weekend Update [short description: a comical look back over recent news stories; everything is going well until the Hand in Hand bit and anything after this is just terrible; yet again it seems to virtual signal that women are okay and men at the problem.]

Beanz Bros [short description: we have these two family members that are serious about beans on toast, like their nan is to make, then this skit takes a dark turn, she is now a convicted criminal and at some point these family members make reference to chemical castration just so that the genes don't carry on.] This is just fudgin' stupid, I don't know what else to say really other than man this is just fudgin' stupid and so immature.

Meal with Rugby legend Jason Roberts [short description: we have these two couples; while having Jason Roberts rugby player and the other having this male individual that could have gone pro if it wasn't for his knees, in fact Roberts makes reference to the fact he hears the knees reference consistently, so this individual mutilates his testicles to give himself a made up injury.] So how is this remotely comical? This is just manure!

This episode receives: 2/10, this episode is poor; I mean wow what a bunch of manure this was, okay there are some positive and bits and pieces that on the whole get a pass, but on the briefly scanning through this content I have noticed an ongoing theme of it is more than acceptable to poke fun at historic references or gear things towards men being the butt of the joke or castrated or mutilated somehow, but they won't go after any of the modern worlds call values.

Such as one example I know we are only two episodes in but so far I have not seen one sketch seen like this hypothetically; briefly a person walks into the post office; wearing a red hat, the person behind the counter says hello there Red Hat, the following day the same person walks into the post office this time wearing a pink hat, but the person behind the counter says hello there Red Hat, the person leaves the post office, the person behind the counter receives a warning, the following day the same person walks into the post office wearing a green hat, the person behind the counter says hello there Pink Hat, the person leaves the post office and yet the person behind the counter receives another warning, the following day the same person walks into the post office wearing a orange hat, the person behind the counter says hi Green Hat with fear in their voice, the person leaves the post office comes back the next day to find a new person; but this person is very much in, out and done with everybody which comes off rude, which is person with multiple hats doesn't like wants to complain to the manager; the manager comes out and gets told his employee has been incredibly rude the manager asks how? This person with daily hat changes says by not acknowledging me as a person, in a fit of rage their hat falls off, to be picked up by the person that originally worked at the post office and handed back to the person; with these multiple hats with saying underneath we are just people.

Obviously if you are smart enough; this sketch scene is about pronouns and how they are being used as weapons, even when in this scene someone was trying to respect their previous wishes [yes I even confuse myself dictating this scene keeping in mind the previous day's colour of hat so if it is slightly off that is why.] I used hats because you can see hats, but you can't see pronouns.

But I can guarantee you they won't, because for them to do that they would have to look at themselves in the mirror and acknowledge that this modern culture is complicated and ridiculous and I know at least two of their cast are from the rainbow community, so they won't mock or attack this modern culture.

I watched someone else's content on this program last night they were basically referencing it as edgy and that is their opinion and they are welcome to it, what I would call it as pandering, virtual signalling hollocks, with this expression of "You go woke you go broke" I really can't see them getting a second season, based on the fact based on the same content I watched they were stupid enough to point out the writers have already gotten a warning to tone it down already.

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 1: Host: Tina Fey & Music Guest: Wet Leg by AverageMansReviews

Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 1: Host: Tina Fey & Music Guest: Wet Leg by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: on how this content is going to work: Thumbs up Award or a Thumbs down Award and if I don't mention it; it just gets a pass as to signify it was okay, so it consequently gets a pass.

Warning: there is mature to adult themes in this content, flashing effects/colourful effects/violence/medical and I will be using censored adult language

The Face of Comedy Award: Tina Fey with opening UK TV impersonations, Undérage [short description: a cosmetic cream product that makes its female users look so young that their male partners at minimum it accused of being sex offenders, Hot Streak [short description: we have the interviewer saying to these two movies stars that this latest film is basically terrible] and then we have Weekend Update [short description: a comical look back over recent news stories.]

The Face of Tragedy Award: The Last Supper with David Attenborough [short description: using his brother's: Richard Attenborough's technology: reference to Jurassic Park David has brought these famous people back to life; they have one hour to discuss what makes Britain great?] This particular skit just doesn't have any pacing, so when you have any form of comedy in it; it comes off really flat, boring and glad that is over with and then we have this NHS pregnancy scan skit [short description: a mother and father are looking at this monitor as the doctor tells them; that their child is essentially going to do things for attention and then we have the birth itself:] I have a wide sense of humour, but this is just/was horse highly immature; it was highly mature, infuriating and stuck out like a sore thumb as one of the worst skits they have ever come up with and I know it is the first episode; but it is so bad that they have conveniently set the benchmark for the worst skits and yes it is that bad I will now be judging every other poor or worse skit by this skit that is for sure.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; so by and large this mark is a fair reflection on this first-ever Saturday Night Live UK episode, there is a bit to work on and if they can avoid coming up with stupid skits like the NHS pregnancy hopefully this program will still be going well after I am dead and no I'm not being morbid, it is just as of this content being first created I am in my early 40's and for it to get anywhere near Saturday Night Live US I would be safely into my 90's, so the probability is... I will probably be dead.
