Review Time

Warning: there is flash effects/colourful effects/burnt bodies/man on fire/medical procedure.

Storyline/Characters/Comedy/Performances: now in one way or another these four components go hand-in-hand; on reflection the storyline is quite poor, because the ending is really unsatisfying and it leaves this question-mark at the ending stages [that is as much as I can say without giving too much away.] The pacing takes some time to get going and sometime around the final quarter it really does begin to grind down to its conclusion, it casually drops in that Sean McCaffrey/Anderson and Jenny/Bell at some point choose to be in a relationship; yes when they first meet they do have this good back and forth of which one has the more messed up life; this is good comedy and good on screen chemistry. But they still have missed out a lot of character building between these two characters/performers.

If the truth was known these character developments, performances and on-screen chemistry are mostly something generic; But now onto something which I can talk about which is positive the on-screen chemistry between either Sean McCaffrey/Anderson and this dog or Sean McCaffrey/Anderson and Bartel/Sutherland, between these two pairings there is excellent and priceless communication or dialogue exchanges, on screen chemistry and comedy and on a quick side note; if I had to take one component away from this film it would be this; that Donald Sutherland as Ronald Bartel still has IT and still has so much to offer the film industry the person I was watching this film with said "He is the best thing about this film." I would have to agree with this individual, Bartel seems physically very vulnerable but mentally still very much with it, as he talks about generally speaking and in a nutshell seeing the Dragon as a beautiful thing, he can be individually intelligent or comical or comical unhinged as well you never know what this character is going to say next, but you play by his rule which is question for a question.

Action/Art: these two components go hand-in-hand in this one sequence as Sean McCaffrey/Anderson designs this simulated fire for an experiment.

Action individually there is weapons being used, combat, explosions, chasing and rescuing.

Art individually there are these beautiful skies, this bridge with sky as well that Sean McCaffrey/Anderson drives his vehicle over; these are good. But having said that these flames effects in Sean McCaffrey/Anderson memories look very cheap and very tacky and finally this dog looks very sweet and lovable.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; without Donald Sutherland as Ronald Bartel, this sequel would have been looking at a lot lesser mark, so if there are any fans of Donald Sutherland out there in Internet land take a look at this film, but other than Sutherland I wouldn't expect too much.

Average Extra of: Cuties It's Bold, It's Feminist? by AverageMansReviews

Average Extra of: Cuties It's Bold, It's Feminist? by AverageMansReviews

Warning: straight off the bat I really, really wasn't going to do this blog today, because I was going to work on a review for Christmas and I really want to get away from this project as soon as possible and I don't know how I am going to keep calm, whilst dictating this blog; obviously there will be no adult out and out bad language.

Real Talking Time:

I was watching someone else's content and needless to say I am beyond fuming because looking around for the article they had I found another this is an excerpt from the Director Maïmouna Doucouré 'It's bold, it's feminist, but it's so important and necessary to create debate and try to find solutions, for me as an artist, for politicians and parents. It's a real issue.'

So this should be no surprise I have a lot to say; how is this bold?! How the hell is this feminist?! They are 11-year-old or somewhere around this mark they are children! I don't care if this director has done some research! You don't subject young girls/children to the thing that you are trying to apparently bring attention to which is sexualization, online and so on you just don't do it.

Let's talk about feminist; now correct me, if I am wrong, stealing a mobile telephone and posting questionable/highly inappropriate content on social media via this mobile telephone which I am pretty sure the police could link to it being the loading up point or this device has or had inappropriate content on it as they can do with computers would land the fully grown adult man I hasten to add; it is a family member to as well in prison for a very long stretch of eating porridge isn't feminist?

Next; trying to take a recording/failing of a boy as he is going to the toilet, so this is meant to be feminist as well? How about giving false information to some boys so they can get their telephone number and possibly move on to more; this is meant to be feminist as well?

Next how about instigating a sexual conversation with the boy online with having the web camera off I hasten to add again when this boy finds out the camera accidentally gets switched on it does look like saying; but this is meant to be a feminist?

Next how about doing a sexual dance in front of two fully grown men to get out of trouble [the first act normal in this situation as in not interested whilst the second is highly interested and engaged;] so this is meant to be feminist?

Finally attempting to seduce the same family member from earlier on by Amy instigating/throwing herself at this man [if he took her up on her offer he would be once again looking at a long stretch all the eating porridge] yes this man does absolutely the right thing by pushing her away; so this is feminist well I am learning so much today [for those that cannot pick up sarcasm; I am being sarcastic.]

This is partly what feminist should be about; if you are going to focus on apparently feminist or sexualization, remember this film has just been released in 2020. My point here being if you are going to talk about feminist and sexualization shouldn't gender identification or sexual preference begin to show itself at the age of about 11 years old, I am not trying to anger anyone I'm just saying if you are going to cover a bit you may as well incorporate other elements into it as well and turn into really focusing on the positive side of being a feminist film, exploring what things work for you as a person I say this in big capital letters NOTHING SEX-BASED but everything but this.

The camera work and everything related to this is disgusting I don't know how it can be seen as bold and feminist when it clearly reduces these young girls to underage pornography, just to cover my back I have seen this film so I'm just speaking factually. I really don't get it and here is me thinking that feminist or feminists generally speaking to be seen as equals, upstanding people and things of this nature.

I mean not to antagonize the feminists out there in Internet land this film pretty much takes a massive dump on your beliefs as I have already made references to in this blog, but for here and now these young girls are doing things that would satisfy any heinous individual if they were in this scene with them.

So I really don't get it by giving these heinous individuals what they want in this film which is easy access to thanks to Netflix, it is meant to show them something bold and feminist? I may be partly brain-dead and have a mental illness on top but I can't be the only one thinking this is completely screwed up?! The really extra icing on this really, really, really, really so screwed up cake is they have 650 auditions on recording all I can say about this is I have that have been destroyed.

Moving on I wasn't going to bring this up in my review which I didn't just because I am a man and I didn't want to bring heat to my front door, but in this case I will now bring this up. Now if this film was apparently and I do stress apparently about feminism when Amy begins going through her seasonal change [yes I am trying to be polite.]

Why the hell does her Aunty at first laugh at her and then telling her about how things were and then help her out? On top of that we have her Mother coming into her bedroom entrance [doorframe entrance looking really unhappy at her for something previous in the film; saying something like you are now a woman and then just closing her bedroom door, consequently Amy looking confused and then down at herself.

Newsflash I don't care if Amy has done something wrong; she is 11 years old, she is 11 years old how many more times do I have to say this; she is 11 years old and yes I am a man, but at no stage without some form verbal abuse or physical abuse first; in this moment wasn't about her Aunty I am sorry this happened to her Aunty but you don't put your pain verbally on to the next generation whilst she is standing there quite clearly going through her cycle [keep in mind I'm trying to be polite so work with me here,] it was about Amy beginning the next stage of her life, so at some point I would have been there trying to do something caring without a it being about me or creepy my motivation would have been caring and supportive and absolutely nothing else. I mean if the Aunty wanted to educate Amy about her history and how things were, she could have had done it softly and whilst helping out Amy to have a real bonding moment, but the laughing is sick and twisted behaviour and then going on about how things were for her, when Amy is standing there in a highly vulnerable situation is unbelievably wrong [yes as I have previously stated she eventually helps her out, but she has to be humiliated and made to feel small first, which is just massive piles of donkey diarrhea really she is a child, there is absolutely no need to put her through this.]

So I question her Father, Mother and Aunty [I know this is an difficult Father thing based on how the world is today and how it is heading, but as I have already just illustrated I would be there in some capacity so he should be as well.] I know just for the record it is harder on girls/women but you know what I'm trying to say here in this paragraph about Fathers.

They have all pretty much let her discover it and get on with it on her own, which is just so wrong, she is meant to be a child and they are meant to be her and her two Brothers protectors amongst other things not the other way around so to be honest I can completely understand why Amy goes off the rails, she is being treated as an adult, including occasionally looking after the second youngest Brother, but the problem she and you can say it with me She is 11 years old, give her some chores ask her to help you maybe with her siblings for a short time and I am talking about minutes not an hour or hours, whilst you go to the toilet or do a short-term job but for the final time she is 11 years old.

So to finish off yes Doucouré can have her own opinions and yes I am fully aware there are many different cultures out there, but to say that this is bold, feminist and yes I can agree that there is a problem out there. But this project is a load of donkey dire minus some elements; deep, deep, deep so far deep down which I mentioned in my review yesterday, but there is child exploitation and mental, emotional and physical abuse of Amy.

So Finally this will be my final blog on this subject, because I want to wash my hands of it, unless something big transpires then I will revisit this situation, I really just want to wash my hands of it; it is sick and I want to move on.

Cuties 2020 [alternative name Mignonnes] by AverageMansReviews

Cuties 2020 [alternative name Mignonnes] by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Just a heads up: now I haven't used this line for some time now but in this case I will bring it back; if these things weren't in this film I wouldn't be discussing them and I should just point out the more I keep finding out about this film the more I just don't like it; I am going to remain professional, there is a very good like 100% possibility/inevitability I am going to go off the handle at some point or points.

Warning: there is flash effects/colourful effects/under age contents/ritual.

Storyline/Characters/Blooper/Performances: all five including the on-screen chemistry of these components go hand-in-hand at some point. The storyline is disgusting; we never find out what happens to the rest of the Cuties at the end of the film, after Amy/Abdillahi leaves then hanging on stage. But deep, deep, so far deep down there is some good substance [before you begin angrily typing abuse or something to that affect, Hell No! I am not condoning this film even with the slightest grain of salt.]

I'm just saying that at the ending stages of this film there is good substance, character developments, performances and on-screen chemistry where you see and feel Mariam/Gueye [Amy's Mother] protecting her Daughter Amy/Abdillahi from this verbal battering from the Auntie/Diop from here until the end, the viewers can feel that in the bigger picture Amy/Abdillahi is blameless for her actions, based on the grounds she is a young girl of 11 years old, in fact the blame is entirely her Mother's and Father's.

Because they individually haven't been there for Amy and her Brothers, I know by the looks of this film her Mother is a very busy lady, including getting things ready for her Husband second wedding, but if she thinks verbal and physical abuse is the way to get through to a child she is sadly mistaken, but in this one scene, the penny drops that being protective, caring and warm, just may be an excellent start to getting through to a child and beyond this stage of life, so when Amy is in a situation that she needs to go and talk to her Mother about or her Mother picks up the signs that Amy is not necessarily hiding something, but there is something there; they have a better relationship to begin a dialogue exchange with a warmer and hopefully a lot less hostile environment; for the Father he is taking his second wife in this film, so he is what we like to call an absent Father [yes I am aware in some cultures it is customary for there to be more than one wife,] but as far as I'm concerned he should be more involved in his children's lives [but this may be just two different cultures speaking here, there's and mine.]

I should just point out that as most parents will tell you [as of this review I am not one,] but yes as it relates to this situation Amy's Mother should be only angry with her from this perspective of she could have got into real trouble, hurt or worse.

But for the rest of the character developments and performances from everybody they are terrible, it has been dubbed over [I found this out looking at the closing credits looking for something else where it says "International Dubbing" which if this is the case why didn't they just dubbed the entire film, instead of having subtitles now and again where I had to keep stopping the film to read them, I have never hidden the fact I am dyslexic, so why didn't they just dubbed the entire film, the pacing based on this is not my biggest concern, I just wanted to get through this film and not forgetting Amy/Abdillahi pushing/leaving another character/performer [Yasmine/Hamma]  to potentially drown and die but she grabbed this floating Boyd thing [the blooper is; we never find out what happens to her and I have even looked at the ending credits.]

Action/Art: there is a weapons being used, combat, moving on to the art Amy's arts and craft she makes for her Mother at the beginning of this film and this building [you will know which building I am talking about; just look for this massive bubble shape and you have found it; in the background to the scene;] these are good.

Under age component: so hopefully if I have done this correctly up to this point it sounds like I have been professional and yes I will continue to try and be, but there was a very specific reason I decided to do things this way, because from a professional standpoint it looks like I have tried to be at least amicable so if you are for or against this film I shouldn't have any backlash on either side.

Right let's get down to business; What the hell Netflix?! And more importantly how the hell is this still up on your service Netflix?! How is this not deemed as under age pornography?! Seriously how is this not deemed as under age pornography you have these young girls being highly sexual in some way be it coming out verbally of their mouth or simulating sexual movements or saying something sexual has happened when it hasn't with this first Security Guard just to get out of trouble, then Amy performing this sexual dancing to make sure the Cuties completely get away with it and Why the hell is this other Security Guard enjoying it so much! I mean he enjoys it so much he lets the Cuties; there is something clearly incredibly wrong with this second Security Guard.

I mean physically you can see these are young girls so this individual should not under any circumstances be engaged like this; like Hell No get this individual away from these children, I mean it is still wrong but if these girls were closer between 15 to 18 years old mistakes can happen. By the way I'm not saying this is okay I'm just saying it is much harder to work out someone's age between these numbers than 11 to young teenagers, but like any good man if I found out someone was under 18 anywhere be it online or in the real-world I would be politely or aggressively saying "Goodbye" or running so fast and far away from them that RoadRunner would have to keep up with me.

The one in this scene I feel sorry for is this first Security Guard, because he is only doing his job; the Cuties accuse him of an heinous activity which if it went the completely wrong way for this first Security Guard, he would have lost everything regardless if these allegations were true or not, his reputation for the rest of his life would have been completely and utterly screwed.

Then we have Amy/Abdillahi using a stolen mobile telephone which belongs to her Cousin Samba/Samaké which he is a fully grown man, so if it should have happened that the police had taken his phone from him, let's just say there would have been enough material of his underage cousin on his telephone for him to go away for a nice long stretch in prison especially her final picture she uploads, but we have more; Amy/Abdillahi acting extremely, so extremely inappropriately towards Samba/Samaké that he absolutely does the right thing and pushes her away [yes I know I have put this in the film sense the wrong way round, but it still makes sense here.]

Why the hell were these boys or men watching this final Cuties dancing routine? The women were acting normally [responding how a majority of people would respond in this situation with unpleasant looks and trying to cover the younger audience members eyes,] which was good to see. But these boys and men were either enjoying it or watching it which is still wrong in my books [I would have been "Oh Hell No! I am not watching this!"] At minimum I am turning my head or something to this effect [just if I can't get out of the situation or if my wheelchair breaks down] or at maximum I would walk out of this event as quickly as I can.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor: yes there was a very brief moment where I was going to give an ever so slightly higher mark, because of its very tiny positives, but because the negatives are so gigantic and concrete I can't and won't give this film anything higher.

I seriously, seriously question the motives of the parents of these young would girls/performers. Because how do you wake up one day and go "Today I will audition my child for a role in a film about child exploitation."

Seriously how does someone do that? But things get even more sick, not only are you going to audition them, you're going to let someone teach your child this inappropriate behaviour not only that as well, you're going to watch and have proof of them, I am putting this really politely but having simulated sexual intercourse with a dance floor [before I receive any form of backlash I am just speaking factually so I cannot be held responsible for this] and if you're wondering what proof it is called the Internet, subscription services, Blu-Rays, DVD's and any other sick merchandise they can think of to associate with this project so is that enough proof for you?!

I mean as far as I'm concerned; these performers careers are pretty much like the Titanic; sunk. I just don't mean in a film career sense, I mean in a general sense they are so up the creek without a paddle. Because no one in their right mind will hire them in a film career, because of the absolutely justified backlash of this project and no other project would dare take on these performers, because they couldn't risk the controversy or baggage surrounding these young performers.

I mean if these young performers were much older and established names, the project in question would look at the pros and cons of having them on board based on the credibility or mixed credibility. But as these performers have no credibility in fact they are heavily in minus credibility after this project and this title will follow them, no one will entertain having them on board or shouldn't entertain having them on board; so they are radioactive in the film industry now.

Outside the film industry; when they get older; it will be extremely difficult or impossible for them to get into a position of authority or in a business sense, because why would anyone put these individuals in these positions for the potential business partners or new business associates asking or saying "Hey weren't you in that film Cuties?" Or "Unfortunately we cannot do business with you because we don't feel comfortable giving you or your associates this business based on your previous activities, we are very serious about our public image."

So as you can clearly see; I don't think these parents of these girls/performers have really, really thought about the ramifications short-term or long-term or for life if this project goes south this tremendously badly of auditioning there young girl for a role in this project

Now if I had any children there is not enough money or potential opportunities for me to put my children through this ordeal, apparently this film is meant to be a comedy; where is it? Because there is nothing funny about this film.

I have watched someone else's content [that isn't strictly true I have watched a small amount of people's contents altogether] but as it relates to this individual and I get what they are saying about Amy being the way she is, but for me it is just she is 11 years old, so whatever she does wrong has to be down to the parents [if they were more involved and yes if they were involved and she was still like this I would be looking at her where the blame lays,] but if they were more involved they would have a better idea of what is happening. Yes if she was comfortably inside her teens the more I lay at her doorstep, I was just thinking I would add this bit in because either this individual's or mine perspective is not wrong, but just different but at least on the same wavelength of this film being just wrong. I just think we should educate and sometimes just guide, our children like based on these three examples of mine; I am banning all magazines [body shaming or anything I have a gigantic problem with unless it is done for medical reasons to attempt to save somebody's life then it is acceptable if done correctly,] comic books and other appropriate material fine, if they don't show me what they have been doing online they are not going online [I should just point out I will be watching keeping an eye on them,] but I want to come back to me and show me, so if there are any problems my child can come to me without any pressure and discuss things and finally if they want any body piercings or tattoos or other, I will be explaining not before you are 18 based on the grounds your body is still growing at a quick rate and even when you are 18 years old your body may physically reject them, because it happens I know this because it happened to me.

Four final things; let's begin with the negatives anyone that gives this film a positive either has to because of their occupation/agenda or there is something deeply wrong with them, this is one of those rare occasions that the large majority of the Internet landscape is altogether in one voice, yes our opinions may be slightly different but unanimous in this film is just wrong, I know this is not funny, but don't you find it slightly amusing that when something of this heinous comes around everyone stops the little squabbling and focuses on the bigger thing at that time and the final thing is; personal growth from this perspective I now know when the time comes I will be a well grounded Father, based on as I have already said we have to protect, educate and guide children; yes absolutely when they get older you have to allow them to breathe, because if you don't when they are allowed to breathe for the first time they will absolutely go off the rails as this film shows.

But they need to know whatever the problem they can come back to us and depending on the problem hopefully we won't be angry depending on the circumstances but we will either be there for them or try and be there for them once again depending on the circumstances of the situation, in short on or off screen [allowing your young children to be used in this manner,] this film shows you how not to raise your children.

Average Extra of: Cuties What The Hell Netflix?! by AverageMansReviews

Average Extra of: Cuties What The Hell Netflix?! by AverageMansReviews

Warning: I will be discussing underage exploitation and I want to make this crystal clear from the very beginning, I am not condoning I will repeat that I am not condoning this project in the slightest. I'm just trying to put across what they were trying to do vs. how this project came across.

Real Talking Time:

Let's begin I know in this economical climate this is extremely harsh for me to say this but I think it is absolutely justified. I am seriously hoping heads roll for this and some people lose their jobs.

Because I haven't seen this film but based on my research, the storyline may indeed have good substance of highlighting [child exploitation,] but of what I've seen from the trailer [this is one of those occasions where I can't say what my response was; but I can give you a watered-down version it was something to the effect of "Timeout, what the hell!"And other things.

But the execution of this film based on my experience of the trailer and what I've heard from some people, the execution is disgusting. Because I am dealing with a very, incredibly sensitive subject I have to point out yes I understand the storyline and its purpose, but I will never condone what I have seen in the trailer and for those sick people that think "So this film did what it was intended to do, which was to make you aware and show you."

Firstly professionally I may come over as really calm and I decided many moons ago that I would not use any out and out adult language I have slightly adapted this rule to something like this if there are any hash tags that use adult words that is acceptable. But other than that no adult out and out adult language; secondly generally speaking I don't like being manipulated in fact you can ask anyone that knows me and they will tell you "I wouldn't recommend trying to manipulate him, because you're playing with fire." I know anything underage is wrong, I don't need a film to highlight it is wrong in fact I am one of those kind of men that as soon as I find out a woman is under 18 anywhere be it in the real-world or online [even though yes I may be in a wheelchair] I quickly run 100 miles in the opposite direction or aggressively tell them go away.

So don't give me that garbage of anything like "So this film did what it was intended to do, which was to make you aware and show you." Because as you can probably tell I do not tolerate or will not tolerate something depicted of this nature being pushed on me, I do not and will not tolerate it for an example I ask someone this question [the person I watch some of these films with,] "If you had to make a film on child exploitation, you would have to exploit children in the first place?" This individual said "Yes."[I should just point out this individual knew a little about this project based on what I had told them in previous conversations.] You see I already knew that, but it is one of those occasions where you just want to hear it out loud, so this film can now be seen as hypocritical as well.

Netflix are really, unbelievably stupid and I feel incredibly comfortable saying that based on facts; the facts are on one hand they have removed the UK TV programs Little Britain [2003-2006] and The Mighty Boosh [2003-2007] for being basically outdated and offensive comedy. Whilst on the other hand we have this project which quite frankly beats not one but both of these UK TV programs hands-down in the offensive category.

In fact all Netflix have done is made a rod for their own back, because if another situation comes up like this and they decline the project, people will point back to this project time after time after time to say "Well you gave the green light to the  Cuties 2020 so why not this project?" They have lost the moral high ground and public credibility.

Okay time out I have just found it on Netflix UK [yesterday] I am now just contemplating watching it, because I am a logical person and for me to have a real idea of what I'm talking about I need to experience it; I already understand that this is going to be incredibly difficult to watch and to stomach this film.

So I would really appreciate not receiving any backlash or abuse, because I am already not looking forward to it, yes I am trying to remain as open-minded as one can be, but my punishment will be watching this film that is enough.

But to finish this; Netflix should now absolutely put back on the two UK TV programs I have made reference to in this blog, because it isn't up to them what their paying customers watch, it is up to the individual's themselves.

The Building of: WWE vs. All Elite Wrestling Volume 28 by AverageMansReview

The Building of: WWE vs. All Elite Wrestling Volume 28 by AverageMansReview

WWE: I wasn't planning to do this today, but what I have found out today [yesterday] it needs discussing and there is every possibility I will go off the handle at some point or points.

I don't know what to say here, well that isn't strictly true; what I mean is I can't use the language I would like to use to describe this wrestling promotion; how about absolute scum of the universe, I should just point out I am not going to apologize for anything I put in this Volume; the nicest way I could put this is when Mr. McMahon steps down or anything other I will not be crying, I will be celebrating this joyous occasion.

So like in April this year this company decided to have what I can best describe as a mass budget cut of wrestling talent and personnel of any description either releasing them or furloughing them to a future date and now it looks like we have reached that future date [yes in fairness and balance some people have gone back to work for this company] and across the board contract reducements for employees which are in the tens of thousands, but the bigger picture here is more personnel are being released.

I don't know how I am going to say this calmly in fact I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail in this like 100%; why the hell is this company doing this?! Come on tell us Mr. McMahon? Tell us one good reason? Be a man and stand up and don't use anyone as the scapegoat, tell us why in this global pandemic you are doing these massive budget cuts and don't give us that garbage that you were forced to based on this global pandemic. Because everyone knows that the WWE will be financially sound even with all those people that you have released on April or now you were financially sound, this global pandemic was and is nowhere near touching you financially.

I've just remembered; but you can afford to spend millions on Nick Khan's contract [President & Chief Revenue Officer;] there is something wrong with this picture if they can afford this individual, they can afford to keep these people employed, they can afford to give their wrestling talent real god damn contracts with Health Insurance, so they wouldn't be independent contractors trying to make extra money via Internet platforms; by the way Mr. McMahon as these performers are independent contractors, you have the rights over their characters, you have the rights to tell them not to bring up anything major as it relates to wrestling without the hierarchy's green light or anything which would bring the company heat.

But other than that; Mr. McMahon you have no rights to tell them what they can do and where they can do it. Because of two words you have used throughout the decades say it with me "Independent Contractors." Yes I am aware he has allowed some platforms but I am specifically talking about all of them, based on the grounds of the words Independent Contractors.

[Additional update; it has recently come to my attention that he does have pretty much all the rights, I just wanted to be more factually correct, so how can these wrestlers be independent contractors if in one way or another this company have 99.9% control over what they can and cannot do? This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever, unless this is just comes me and to cover my back this is speculation, unless they have been written to avoid doing the right thing many decades ago, by giving their professional wrestlers.] Health Insurance because they couldn't afford it at the time or they just didn't want to pay it, they just wanted to put it back into the company so it can thrive into the global juggernaut it is today, so in essence what this company has done is build this empire on the grounds of broken bodies, minds and souls of many previous generations of professional wrestlers; it is a sick business model you have there WWE don't you think? I am not okaying how things started out for this company, but times change I say that but this company doesn't, they should now be paying in an ideal world Health Insurance or at minimum something like 50% Health Insurance mixed with a lighter wrestling schedule or a combination of this or something or anything would be nice or a good start.]

I think it is an absolute disgrace that Mr. McMahon is doing all these budget cuts to make more profit which as I have made pretty clear they don't need so it is just down to because they can and greet; that he won't allow his independent contractors the freedom to make in comparison a crumb of extra money, I know I have mentioned this already, but here's a great idea; give your wrestling talent employee contracts with Health Insurance and then I am sure they will sit down and talk, but until that day if I was in a wrestling talent situation I would happily give Mr. McMahon the "Stone Cold Steve Austin" two fingers salute, yes I couldn't care or wouldn't care about the repercussions.

There is one final thing I should point out; the WWE are heading for their most profitable year, I wonder why that could be? Maybe we should go and ask the many upon many people they have released in one way or another why this is? Especially when these people have worked possibly long hours away from their families trying to get everything ready and done for this or that or the other so this company can function from the ground up and then just for them to be thrown away when they really, really, absolutely needed job security in this global pandemic to support their families in their time of need.

All Elite Wrestling: I mean over this pandemic this company have only currently let a small number go, because of this global situation and one they chose to, because of the situation surrounding him in Jimmy Havoc, look WWE this is how you deal with controversial situations may be you can learn something here in dealing with  Velveteen Dream.

AEW rightly deserve to be criticized over the handling of the Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara Broken Rules Match, where if Hardy had lost, he would have had to leave AEW [at AEW All Out 2020.] The only people that walked out of that situation with credibility was AEW Referee Aubrey Edwards, just a little bit of advice to the AEW hierarchy, you should do everything in your power to make sure she signs a life-time contract with your company, because she was right on top of the situation and took immediate action. Guevara [for basically recognizing the situation and clearly taking his time to give Hardy time to recover or later on creating a distraction so the camera stays on him.

Now on to Matt Hardy; I watched someone else's content so I would have an idea of this situation and whilst watching this content I noticed something very familiar the look on Hardy's face after the restart. I only know this look because I have been watching wrestling for many years and I am sure my age bracket and older would know this look as well.

I can only describe it as something like a zombie look; it's like the professional wrestler in question knows something is wrong, but the professional wrestler in them goes into auto-pilot just to get the match done and they will focus on the problem when the final bell rings. I see the mind-set of a professional wrestler to be a very complicated thing; because they can use the mind-set that they have to achieve great things, such as jumping off the top turnbuckle fully aware that they are going to take their opponents finisher in mid-air or climbing to the top of any cage to possibly crash and burn or if their opponent or opponents catch them correctly there can still be casualties.

I do question why or how Hardy was cleared to continue this match? Yes I may not be a medical professional, but I do have common sense and common sense dictates I shouldn't believe anything that this individual has to say, based on the grounds there is something clearly wrong with them as badly as Hardy was; in fact I now question this entire situation minus the two individuals I have given praise to, let's just say I think it was a wise move to bring this feud to a conclusion and move on from it, it was doomed from the very beginning if we were honest and to have Hardy come out and sincerely apologize on this previous Wednesday's [06/09/2020] was good, but so much has to be learned here, this cannot happen again. Because it isn't just any professional wrestler that goes on their journey in their career it is also their family and friends, so protect them better even from themselves and next time don't overrule any of your Referees as it relates to anything to do with the brain, you can get away with bleeding [not internal bleeding] or anything you can fix up short-term, but you don't mess with the brain. Basically similar to boxing anything you can fix up in the corner is okay, but other than that stop the match if there are grounds to do so.

On to Chris Jericho; so it was a great choice for your band Fozzy to perform at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally [Friday 07/08/2020 to Sunday 16/08/2020] with a massive number of new cases of this global pandemic now coming out to be roughly being out of 460,000 people that attended this 10 day event 266,000 people have now contracted it and one death; with you originally defending your decision with a now deleted Tweet "7 cases... out of 450,000 people????" Someone clearly doesn't know how viruses work, just to cover my back these figures I have given at this point may be now completely wrong, but they were estimated to be correct some time ago. Fozzy have now resumed going on tour through this pandemic as well from 2020 and 2021, which I find extraordinary considering we are in a pandemic.

A quick mention AEW don't have a problem with their talent having their own Internet platform either, so on to my final thing; because I know how the Internet landscape works, I just want to cover this; as far as I am aware and yes I could be absolutely wrong AEW have only given Health Insurance to some wrestlers, because they are working for AEW in a company capacity role as well.

Review Time

Storyline/Characters/Performances: now in one way or another these three components go hand-in-hand. The best place for me to start is by saying; I know, I know this film is a Christmas film, but does it really have to hit the Christmas component so hard [I am not being a humbug,] but man this film hits the Christmas component hard to a nauseating level.

So with that being said the storyline, character developments, performances and the on-screen chemistry reflect all this from the very beginning crystal clearly. The on-screen chemistry is good [yes it is cheesy,] but still good. This film does much better when it pulls back on hitting the Christmas component so hard, it makes this film better to digest and the pacing is likewise better as well; it feels more free-flowing as if it wasn't being squashed by the heavy usage of the Christmas component, but having said that I should just point in the final section until the end of this film it does somewhat retreat back into this; yes not so hard but can tell the difference between before this and during the final section until the end of the film.

Action/Comedy/Art: there are some occasions where all three of these components  go hand-in-hand; I will give you one example; now without giving too much of this film away basically in a quick description we have our lead character/performer Dax/'The Miz' Mizanin throwing this NFL American football at this other character/performer but it accidentally hits another character/performer; the camera shot perspective for a moment; it is where we the viewers get to sit on this NFL American football on its journey its original target dodging enough out of the way so it hits someone else squarely in the forehead.

Action; individually there is combat, weapons being used and this obstacle course.

Comedy; individually this old person retirement home where in a nutshell these old frisky women wouldn't do exercise unless Dax/'The Miz' Mizanin takes off his shirt first and even then this happens things don't get much better [in this scene as well when things don't look to be going too well; one of the old men asked "May be she should take her shirt off?" [Billie/McCord] and there are other comedy either a consistent theme or bits and pieces in this film.

Art; individually there are these Christmas decorations and so on by day or by night with lights on or these portrayed paintings, this younger version of Dax's engraved rocket with his name on it/inside it on this wooden bench and a tiny amount of good-looking scenes be them by night or by day as well.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; it has enough to be in the mixed and not in the poor section of my marking system, but I did find this film hard work to watch and one final thing this film has WWE's Paige as Eleanor the The Miz's wife and WWE's Maryse in it as Biker Chick.

The Building of: WWE vs. All Elite Wrestling Volume 27 by AverageMansReview

The Building of: WWE vs. All Elite Wrestling Volume 27 by AverageMansReview

Just a heads up: from now on I will be trying to keep these shorter so if I don't cover the subject, I will aim to do my best to put it in the next one or if I don't cover it never mind, I am not being lazy it is just these Volumes are just getting bigger and bigger and taking up more and more time. But as it relates to this Volume I will be focusing on a theme on both sides of this divide.

WWE: now I have never, ever hidden the fact that I believe the Woman's Revolution to be nothing more than a publicity stunt and my mind hasn't changed on that whatsoever.

The Woman's Tag Team Division is a joke, currently there is just two teams in it after The Kabuki Warriors and The IIconics have in one way or another disbanded, I mean even The Riott Squad have been recently reformed. This seems like a good time to point out that Liv Morgan's repackaging cleansing/sexual gimmick was a complete waste of time and energy wasn't it really; if they are just going to put her back into similar clothing and all of that like Ruby Riott and on top of that the Woman's Tag Team Champions in Jax and Baszler in Kayfabe not liking one another the last time I checked. [Additional update; I had forgotten that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross where even a tag team, but they have recently broken up as well.]

So how is this Division meant to work with only two teams currently in it? Moving on to the Raw Woman's Division and Champion Asuka who is she feuding with right now? I mean I knew she was the Champion but I had to go and make sure of this; so why do I have this feeling that regardless of whomever her next challenger may be she is just going to lose it to them, so currently she is just a placeholder and everyone knows she is too good to be treated like this again.

While SmackDown and NXT as it relates to their respective Woman's Championships things are either heating up between Bayley and Banks and I am not going to lie I know very little about NXT as a whole and nothing about their Women's Champion Io Shirai, but as NXT is the glowing gold and black Brand that this company has in its Universe I'm going to say everything is going great here as it relates to this Championship.

All Elite Wrestling: so we come to AEW; look I have said that it will take roughly 12 years to see what and how this company is going to look like and function, so give it time, taking into consideration this global situation and as it relates to here and now this company is still relatively new, so if they were slowly moving forward I would be giving the speech of "Give it more time."

But there are now issues that have to be addressed; such as this global situation isn't going away any time soon, so if they are holding back on any plans [for here and now let's just focus on the women side of things,] because they want a large audience response [I think we can all understand this reason.]

But at the same time they need to be slowly moving forward and they aren't, if anything they are going in the opposite direction, I mean why didn't they put the entire AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament on AEW: Dynamite one match every week, instead of putting it on YouTube and then having the final on AEW: Dynamite, the more I am thinking about it the more I am thinking this was just a bad booking decision, because if I was trying to deal with this global situation and trying to slowly move things on, I would have slowed played this tournament in the way I have just said and given the matches a 20 minute time limit [but said to the performers involved "Go and show what you can do." I didn't watch 99% of this tournament, because to be honest I haven't even watched AEW Dark yet, so what makes them think I have enough time to watch this tournament, you see if they had put it on AEW: Dynamite I would have watched it, I have it series-linked; in my country I have it on Fridays most of the time [providing AEW don't have to move Dynamite to another day.]

I am a little bit understanding to the fact that AEW are still relatively new and they are getting a crash course in running a wrestling promotion in this global situation and have international performers and they are unable to attend AEW because of this global situation, but at the same time this company have got to learn that they have to roll with things, as they have with Baker [being injured] and the Swole feud, I have to give them some credit for this but other than that; it just feels like their creative team is either very green or as I have already stated in this blog already; waiting for this global situation to pass to pull the trigger on some things or not as focused on the women side of things as they should be.

But whatever the case may be they still have enough women characters/performers to put feuds together Abadon “The Living Dead Girl” could feud with Penelope Ford, because Abadon wants to show the ugly person inside her or make her over in her image/personalty; something like that or Nyla Rose vs. the AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida feuding for this Championship and of course we have Big Swole and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D ongoing feud at the moment, I mean if they want to get really creative they could make the Big Swole and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D feud eventually into a No1 Contenders feud for the AEW Women's World Championship [and not forgetting the surrounding characters/performers in these feuds as well.]

Now having looked back at it; once again the more and more time I spend thinking about it, the more time I think it would have been a much better idea for Shida to lose her Championship at AEW All Out 2020 to the NWA Women's Champion Thunder Rosa [I did bring this up in In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW All Out 2020,] so that these two wrestling promotions could have had a back and forth working relationship as in this case borrow each other's women's talent so that they can grow each other's Divisions individually and together [together means to benefit one another in the bigger picture they could individually say "Sign with us and we will give you plenty of opportunity for you to reach your full potential."]

So I am in agreement with people that respectfully say AEW should be doing more with their Women's Division, [Pipe bomb in a wrestling sense;] "Maybe instead of focusing on AEW Heels they should have been focusing on what is happening in the ring and their TV programming on AEW: Dynamite and pushing that instead." I mean not so long ago it was looking like they were just getting a good variety of women characters/performers and building a hotbed to work from and that has pretty much just disappeared, it has just come to me that they may not have been under contract [this is speculation on my part] and I know this global situation hasn't helped, but yes absolutely slowly move forward, but there is no reason for them to be going backwards.

If you have been reading these Volumes you know full well if WWE did things like this or had any shortcomings I would have been all over them so fair is fair here.
