No Escape 2015 by AverageMansReviews

No Escape 2015 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor

Fundamental elements: there are cultural elements without subtitles being used, an interpreter element, background music, slow-motion effects, a number and words on screen, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences: in a nutshell these action sequences full into the category of riots and everything that comes with that including vehicles [in the air or on land or on water] and death sequences.

Performances: it is difficult to say, I think I am going to say they are mostly mixed. The reason why it is difficult to say is; I got bored with this project and don't get me wrong I do understand why these characters were whispering [but I think after a short amount of time this didn't help my viewing experience,] but including no subtitles [which yes if I am being fair I may have struggled with them if they were in effect, but if they were being used I could have possibly got less board with this project,] because I would have a better understanding or hopefully a better understanding of what is happening and what is being said.

Wilson and Brosnan: individually or together give this title value with their performances, as it relates to Wilson as this character he is pro-active trying to get his family out of this situation with support from his wife [performed by Bell and to be fair she puts in a fair amount as well.] Now without trying to give too much away I think I am safe in saying this; Brosnan's scenes or sequences are limited, but the viewers will know he is around, by the way he speaks or pretty much anything he does really.

This film receives: 2/10, now yes I have pointed out some things you can work with when or if you choose to watch this project or not, but having said that I can't really forget how bored I was whilst watching this film

Hummingbird 2013 [alternative names Redemption] by AverageMansReviews

Hummingbird 2013 [alternative names Redemption] by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is good.

Fundamental elements: there are either a word or words on screen or a number [I cannot remember,] cultural elements, subtitles being used which either are too quick on and off the screen or there are some occasions where they may clash with the scene underneath them or they may not be used at all or an interpreter will be used instead, background music, mental imagery of different kinds, I think at some point there are slow-motion effects, voice-over elements and time jumps and place jumps. The general movement including the elements I have mentioned in this paragraph already [I should just point out I could be wrong on some of these elements.] But my point is this; this title does take some time to get going properly.

Action sequences; there are weapons being used and combat sequences.

Performances: briefly they all do the job, but now moving on to Statham and Buzek, individually or together these two performers/characters do so much to keep this film going until this title has got going properly, on top of that once again individually or together these two performers/characters have strong personality traits which without giving too much away showed themselves in different ways, the chemistry between these two performers/characters is of a high quality and it has been managed with care and attention in this title.

This film receives: 7/10, now if this project didn't have the performances that it does [to be more specific Statham or Buzek, Statham and Buzek] it doesn't matter which way you look at it this film would have really struggled, but as things are this title does enough to get given this mark.

Female Fight Club 2016/2017 [alternative name Female Fight Squad] by AverageMansReviews

Female Fight Club 2016/2017 [alternative name Female Fight Squad] by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor

Fundamental elements: there is background music [including for some strange reason in one scene there is one character playing a guitar and then in another scene there is a different character playing a piano, well I say playing a piano he is sitting on the top of it using his foot to press the keys,] there is another language being used without subtitles, slow-motion effects, mental imagery or something to that effect, place jumps and time jumps.

Action sequences: they range from training to combat to weapons being used, they give this title value.

Performances: in a nutshell they are poor.

This film receives: 2/10, now there are drama elements in this title, which the more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards these elements in this title give slightly more value, the reason why it may come across that I am in two minds, about this; it is because I am based on the facts that I can understand them in theory and their purpose, but generally speaking the quality of the dialogue or dialogue exchanges are not reliable throughout this project.

Warfare 2017/2018 [alternative name China Salesman] by AverageMansReviews

Warfare 2017/2018 [alternative name China Salesman] by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor.

Fundamental elements: there are subtitles being used, cultural elements, words on screen, quick moving effects, slow-motion effects, background music, I think there are voice-over elements, place jumps and time jumps.

Action sequences: there are chasing sequences, weapons being used and those kinds of things, combat sequences [Seagal vs. Tyson happens in this project.] Now generally speaking these action sequences give this title value, like I have already said; like Seagal vs. Tyson [if you are wondering which Tyson I mean; I mean Mike Tyson.

Performances: in a nutshell they are poor to mixed, depending where you are in this title, but having said that, I have to give credit to Tyson, he does try to make something out of what was given to him.

This film receives: 3/10, this title for me is complicated on two levels, the first being the subtitles, yes they look fine but I have never hidden the fact I have reading difficulties anyway and without giving too much away there are words on screen at the end of the film, I am going to say I think because I think there is something there in two different languages but the text is too small so to cover my own back I am going to say I could be wrong as well and on top of that this could be a technical issue or based on the equipment I have [so take this with a pinch of salt,] I tried this film on two different items you can watch DVDs on, the sound quality as in, the level of sound I had to put my TV up, to hear this project was high and the other equipment I used I could hear it, but let's just say I was not willing to sit there like that for the length of this film, yes  the volume went down eventually because I was asked to put it down and I could still hear it [but as I have already said this could just be my equipment, but it is something worth mentioning at least, so please do not get unhappy with me when you come to watch this project and you do not experience any problems.]

The second level is this; when this film stops using special-effects like slow-motion effects or quick moving effects or I cannot remember if there are any mental imagery flashback things or anything like this, including the sound quality issue; when this title settles down into some kind of rotation between locations and other things, this project does have some potential [you see I had to go back and slightly change what I said about the performances, because I am not backtracking on anything I am just trying to be fair and balanced with taking everything into consideration about this title.

Ransom 1996 by AverageMansReviews

Ransom 1996 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is good.

Fundamental elements: there is background music, cultural elements [I could be wrong about this,] slow-motion effects, place jumps and time jumps.

Action sequences: there are weapons being used, vehicles being used and combat.

Performances: they are good.

This film receives: 6/10, yes this review may look short but in fairness to myself this title knows what it is from beginning to end and it sticks to it, okay it doesn't help that the main evildoer gets revealed too early [on reflection this may have an impact on the movement and enjoyment of this title, meaning if the audience knows this already, they could just be waiting for this film to catch up with what they know that kind of thing [I can't really say too much more than that] and very briefly the ending is something I can take it or leave it; it is one of those endings that does the job.

The Boss 2016 by AverageMansReviews

The Boss 2016 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this title is mixed.

Fundamental elements: there are a number or numbers and words on screen, background music and a music number, a voice-over element, a flashy effect thing, quick moving effects and slow-motion effects, time jumps and place jumps.

Comedy level/Drama: now what am I going to say about this film really [let's just say there is a reason why I have put these two elements in this paragraph and yes I am aware I don't think I have ever or if I am wrong about this I apologize; spoken about the drama elements as a separate thing before but as I have already said I could be wrong about this. But now I have said all that; the comedy level ranges from having to watch this film behind your hands to elements which are funny and everything in between, for three very quick examples of the comedy elements which are good [just based on my opinion,] the tennis sequence and the scene where Kathy Bates's character Ida Marquette is having to be bleeped, because what she is saying is not suitable for TV and finally I am just going to say the dangerous couch bed [I think it is a couch bed, but you will know it when you see it.]

Now moving on to the drama, the reason why I have spoken about this element in this way it is because this title looks and feels better when it focuses on the drama before the comedy level, I should just clarify the drama elements are predictable [without giving too much away the storyline is straightforward,] this title comes over to its audiences as there may be more to this project than what we first thought, so the drama elements take this title from being a poor film to a mixed title.

Action sequences: there are weapons being used and there is this street fight sequence.

Performances: briefly they are mixed.

This film receives: 4/10, now I am aware that in one way or another I keep saying the word mixed, but in my defence it just is; may be if they cut back on the mature comedy references a bit or then again a fair amount, I could have given this title a higher mark, but as this title is; I think this mark is just about right.

The Benefactor 2015/2016 by AverageMansReviews

The Benefactor 2015/2016 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this project is poor.

Fundamental elements: there is words on screen, background music [which is noticeable,] mental imagery flashback thing and time jumps and place jumps.

Performances/Dialogue exchanges: now I am not too sure what I'm going to say here, because in a nutshell these performances are poor to mixed, but there are some occasions where the performances are either mixed to just before good or good, I am not backtracking on anything I have said in this review, it is just this title is based on performances, dialogue exchanges and anything connected to these two elements.

This film receives: 3/10, now if the truth was known I was going to give this title is different mark, but on reflection after talking to someone who watched the film with me and taking into consideration there are mixed to just before good or good moments or scenes or sequences, so in my opinion this mark just about feels right and just for the record the person I watch this film gave this title a higher mark to me I am just saying this for balance and fairness.
