My reaction: now I have seen two different advertising trailers/advertising vessels and I have done some research as well, but I am basing this content of the 70 seconds trailer. So based on first impressions it broadly speaking first of all looks good, but on closer inspection I do have some concerns like Cody Rhodes as Guile; what the actual  fudge is going on with his hair?... It is too long and it makes him look really fudgiin' stupid, to the point where it makes Jean-Claude Van Damme as Colonel William F. Guile: from the 1994 project look more of a real deal and he was far from it. Moving on to David Dastmalchian as M. Bison: yet again we have another visual issue now we have Bison in his iconic clothing and accessories; which would be absolutely fine if they weren't  fudgin' big for Dastmalchian, he looks really out of place and uncomfortably so, don't get me wrong I do highly rate Dastmalchian as a performer, but what with the clothing and accessories and accessories issue, what should be a menacing presence, actually does come across as someone quite weak and vulnerable, I am also incredibly sure that 9 times out of 10 Dastmalchian does have the acting range to overcome these issues and to put in a strong performance.

But this is possibly one of those occasions where, it may be just be a bridge too far for him to overcome, as yet again from the 1994 version, it just so happens that Raúl Juliá as General M. Bison: puts in an masterful and iconic performance as this character, as he puts 110% belief and consequently everything else slots in perfectly as he becomes General M. Bison and he very much look like him.

The next major issue and this one is based on hypothetically, because as of here and now we don't know how this film will do at the box office, but having three big names connected to this project such as Rhodes, Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoaʻi as Akuma and Jason Momoa as Blanka; comes with financial risks I have seen other content creators praised generally speaking for the majority or I should imagine all of the cast and crew want to get this project to the big screen which it obviously will get there. But there are some within this cast including the big names I have already mentioned that have a keen interest in hopefully ensuring the success of this project.

Moving on to my final point/over arcing point; as I continue from my previous paragraph this means absolutely nothing if their combined financial packages are massive and on top of that this videogame adaptation is a financial flop, because the uncomfortable truth/reality is this would be the third major video game adaptation to come out in 2026 and like it or not it is going to be up against some very, very gigantic titles The Super Mario Galaxy Movie; 03/04/2026 or/and Mortal Kombat II 08/05/2026 or as it says on one of its promotional 19/05/2026 and then we have this film 16/10/2026. The fact is these two are highly anticipated sequels and neither am I concerned of these two titles being relatively close in the counter, because they serve two very different demographics and yes obviously both demographics providing they are old enough, shouldn't greatly affect the box office takings of the other one. I mean the saving grace for Street Fighter it gets released much later on in the year, but yet again hypothetically hopefully not but I can see some people saying fudge it I am burned out from watching videogame adaptations or/and depending what is on at the cinema or coming out at the cinema at that time is also depending if they can get posteriors in seats to watch this film, I hope so because at minimum I would like to see a sequel, but I am also being realistic to say nothing against this film but I think it is going to be a tough ask.

So let's finish of this content by saying I would love to predict a 7/10, I will stick with out, but realistically something tell me based on the general consent is being mixed, depending on this film release and how everyone is feeling about it, meaning as it is worst I can see getting roasted to 5/10,
