Wedding anyone?: Briefly; one of the Davenport need to get married to
ensure the future of Fackham Hall; the Vicar [Jimmy Carr:] he will end up
marrying someone by the end of the movie.
Generally speaking: the storyline/script is of a parody of the Downton
Abbey franchise, with the framework of narrating from one of the main
characters which they will reveal themselves at the end of the film and the
pacing of this 97 minutes long is good.
Art,
action and comedy; as we are from this time in history as you would come to
expect the set designs, costumes and the visual representation are of a very
high standard indeed. Before I continue this I would just like it to be known I
disagree quite strongly with animal hunting, with that being said that is
precisely what we have in this film, what with this is where I am going to
struggle in this content carefully selecting the comedy elements of this film
based on at minimum they are mature to adult; but I digress in this hunting
sequence, we have different things falling out of the sky after being shot or/and
character/performer accident being shot and doing this all dying sequence and
then repeat, at some point we have a reference to changing of the seasons;
meaning someone on their period, which kind of works on two levels, period
bodily functions; period joke in a period drama and we also have a Vicar in one
way or another keeps screwing up his lines the first time around in whatever he
may be reading, so obviously the first time around it sounds how can I describe
this really direct and highly inappropriate, but the second time around he adds
that grammar or/and reads it probably which doesn't sound inappropriate.
Character
developments, performances and voice performers; on all counts they are all
good; this is one of those occasions where you can tell that everyone involved
just wanted to make this film happen, including excellent chemistry and the
camaraderie.
This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; now I should point out
and I am not being disrespectful to this project, just being honest with you,
this is one of those rare occasions where based on my viewing experience, I
feel quite confident in saying this comedy isn't going to be for everyone and I
can say that with the knowledge of; when I went to go and see this film at the
cinema with the person that I watch some of this content with, from time to
time I was predominantly the only one laughing. You know that one guy in a
cinema that laughs loud, while everyone else around them is possibly not
finding it as funny or at all funny well that's me and if you are possibly on
any level sensitive, this film is not going to be for you and very finely there
is some extra bits and pieces with characters names at the end of this film.
