Wes Lee vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Ethan Page vs. Eddy Thorpe; Men's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship at NXT: New Year's Evil: Lee missteps on their top left turnbuckle, so he has to reset himself. A suicide dive by Frazier at the last moment goes a little bit wonky: it is performed heading towards the ramp side of the ring and yes this match is a hard-hitting start to this event. After this we have a promo from Lexis King: I am getting fed up of hearing him making references to his father [Brian Pillman Sr.] even though I don't watch this brand, I find him to still be exploiting his father's memory/legacy in this manner to be disgusting and for those experienced wrestling people this does give me go away heat and if he went to the WWE/NXT to do this garbage he may as well have stayed at AEW. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
Lola Vice vs.O.T.M's: Jaida Parker; NXT Underground Match: Parker accidentally goes in for a pinfall attempt, but they don't apply to this stipulation of this match Booker T. says Parker performs a belly to back suplex, but he gets it so wrong, because it is just a release German suplex. But broadly speaking this slot is good. This match/match slot receives: 7/10.
No Quarter Catch Crew's: Myles Borne & Tavion Heights vs. Champs Nathan Frazer & Axiom; Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship: these contenders are a talented duo they just need a bit more seasoning and for this miscommunication between the champions storyline is getting incredibly tiresome, which is now becoming a detriment to their matches. This match/match slot receives: 7/10.
Ridge Holland vs. Trick Williams; Singles Match for the NXT Championship: I like this crowd at some points in this match/match slot really was not feeling this match as the crowd goes noticeably quiet. Vic Joseph calls out a rock bottom instead of T.'s version of a Booker end, so T. calls out his own move instead, so Joseph calls out a ura-nage. Williams performs this back body drop reversal off the table; it doesn't look the most straightest/safest but it goes okay then a little time later we have Williams getting caught up in the middle of them ring ropes on the other upper side of the ring. It is only because of the surrounding consent that this match/match slot gets the mark it does. This match/match slot receives: 6/10.
Sol Ruca vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Zaria vs. Giulia vs. No Quarter Catch Crew's: Wren Sinclair; Women's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT: New Year's Evil: well this is stupid, I get it the ring announcer [Mick Rome] has to do it for the purposes of the crowd, but it is still stupid considering the viewing audience at home has just seen a video package highlighting everything he is sane with on-screen rules as well. Excellent match slot, I would have given any extra mark if it wasn't for the rundown of the rules twice in one way or another. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
The average mark of this pay-per-view is: 7/10, this is one of those predominately good events between two match slot that started and ended this event on a high.
