Recommendation of: WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!
Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful effects/adult language
Rhea
Ripley, one half of the WWE Women's Tags Team Champions Bianca Belair, Naomi,
Damage CTRL's: Iyo Sky & Bayley vs. WWE World Women's Champion The Judgment
Day's: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, WWE Women's Champion Queen Nia Jax,
Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae; Women's WarGames Match: okay the camera person has to back up a lot, because in
the beginning section of this match we have Bayley and Jax in the middle of
these two rings [the intersection] where the camera person is way too close, so
that we can really hear Bayley calling out the next spot of elbows and then a
moment later Jax gives Bayley a elbow shot. Cole makes a big mistake on
commentary, he calls Naomi as she is entering or roughly around here; Tiffany,
I would say this was a big mistake for the obvious reason and on top of that
Tiffany isn't on Bayley's team to begin with. I hope Naomi is okay, because
Bayley and Naomi perform a double team like back body drop on Jax and it
doesn't go too well for Naomi as she goes back whilst Bayley goes forward. Jax
performs this really pathetic chair shot on Bayley, obviously I don't want
anyone to get hurt, but there is a difference between someone getting hurt and
performing a slow motion chair shot with no effort. It just seems like anything
surrounding Jax be calling out a spot or as I have previously shown someone
else calling out a spot, she is the only one in this match slot that doesn't
look up to scratch to deal with this situation as everyone else competently and
confidently knows what they are doing. This match/match slot receives: 7/10.
Shinsuke
Nakamura vs. Champ LA Knight; Singles Match for the WWE United States
Championship: Cole rectifies some information
about Bayley from the previous match slot and now onto this match/match slot.
This slot feels very much like a TV programming/content match slot and not a
Premium Live Event match up. This match/match slot receives: 6/10.
Sheamus
vs. Imperium's: Ludwig Kaiser vs. Champ Bron Breakker; Triple Threat Match for
the WWE Intercontinental Championship:
as you would expect from everyone involved this is a hard-hitting match up,
which has got more than enough in the tank for go again sometime down the line.
This match/match slot receives: 7/10
Damian
Priest vs. Champ Imperium's: King Walter; Singles Match for the WWE World
Heavyweight Championship: this
is another hard-hitting match which is obvious considering who is squaring off
against one another. But without giving too much away even though there is a
spoiler alarm, I can't stand the closing section of this match, it was so
unnecessary, considering it was already heading that way anyway, so I gave it
they had to continue this storyline, they may as well done this angle at the
beginning or in the opening section, that would have been different and that
would have worked out better as it relates to the storyline, but as things
are/were based on this I have decided to take a mark off. This match/match slot
receives: 7/10.
The
Original Bloodline's: Roman Reigns, The Usos': Jey & Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn
& CM Punk vs. The New Bloodline's: Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga,
Tonga Loa & Bronson Reed; Men's WarGames Match: I am going to award another mark based on Heyman's
input, obviously this match has been hard-hitting, but I do hope that Fatu is
okay, because at one stage he does come off the top far right turnbuckle all
kinds of wrong I am not being comical here, I'm just saying this looks
incredibly painful and bad; it does get referenced on commentary. One final
thing now I would recommend that everyone involved with in this structure would
hopefully go and get checked over by WWE medical staff. This match/match slot
receives: 10/10.
The
average mark of this pay-per-view is:
7/10, but having said that as I can see this main event slot is a banger.
