Wasted: Ricochet vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WWE Super ShowDown By AverageMansReviews

Wasted: Ricochet vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WWE Super ShowDown By AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: this is one of those occasions where I need to point out I don't use any adult language in my blogs but I can guarantee you when I watched this match there was so, so, so much adult language being used.

Seriously WWE what was the point of booking this match??!! I am so unbelievably angry because it was a complete waste of time, I mean we all knew Lesnar was going to win because we weren't buying into Ricochet as a real threat to Lesnar's reign [I should just point out I mean this as no disrespect to Ricochet,] as I had previously stated in a previous blog [In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Super ShowDown] I will leave the link down below that Ricochet was going to lose, because you are already advertising Drew McIntyre vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 on your own website anyway, I know what I am about to say is Heyman's on TV persona/character so he was going to say these things anyway, but in short he was telling the audience and the people at home the match for the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view.

So keeping in mind all what I have just said in the previous paragraph and I know I have said this already but what was the point of booking this match? If you are making it 100% transparent Lesnar is going to win here and not only that Ricochet absolutely gets buried and I am not talking about just a normal burial in a wrestling sense, I mean if you could bury people on the Earth and by doing this they would be sent up to the Moon by the end of it that would cover how much Lesnar buried Ricochet in this match, talk about overkill.

I mean getting buried is never good and I do like Rusev, he is very talented but if the WWE and Rusev are having contract issues; time running out, removed from this pay-per-view card; The first-ever Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match/heading for the WWE exit door and they want to bury somebody, like I have just said I do like Rusev but why didn't they have him in this match against Lesnar to begin with, let's be honest this company has been of what I know they have been burying him anyway, so at this point a little bit more burying him, isn't going to make much difference, so why not get him to take the loss, make it possible that he could win in the build-up to this match [I know/we know he isn't going to win] but give it this feel of Clash of the Titans to it, have a good match with Lesnar at the same time or at least something better than what we saw here and consequently it may have gotten more people to watch this pay-per-view [I am just speaking from the perspective of my idea would have been much more appealing, I have no idea about the figures for this pay-per-view.] I mean the WWE could have taken the option to write him off screen after this match or not depending on the situation behind the scenes.

Where does Ricochet go from here?: Well first things first Rusev needs to take a Space Rocket up to the Moon to dig out Ricochet; don't forget your shovel Rusev come back to Earth and get a taxi and head for Nashville to a wrestling company that goes by the initials AEW, because this company will treat these two individuals much better than the WWE.

But seriously I don't know where Ricochet goes from here, because it wasn't just a loss, it wasn't just being buried let me put it this way this match went on for 90 seconds, his credibility on the Main Roster well what credibility? He has none and it isn't his fault, isn't that right? Mr. McMahon as long as you keep collecting the money from this highly controversial business arrangement that is all what matters; isn't it. Forget selling Ricochet down the river to give Ricochet any credibility they will either turn him Heel or Repackage him, they can't even give him a Championship to rebuild him that way because his first Championship reign [the United States Championship] was so short.

So great work WWE sell out one of your present and future stars for your present bounty hunter to shoot down and yes I know Ricochet was never going to win this match in the first place, but here is a wonderful, great idea and it just took me no time at all to think about it. How about you don't book these types of matches in the first place WWE? Having a squash match for one of your Brand main Championships, it is just disrespectful to everyone involved and just for the record I don't care about some of the performers not willing to work in this part of the world, if I was a wrestler I wouldn't either but you have more than enough resources to put on a better match, just off the top of my head they could have had Rey Mysterio vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in a rematch from Survivor Series 2019 [just have Ricochet and Mysterio switch places on this card, I have just learned about the beat down that Rey Mysterio received backstage before his entrance into The first-ever Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match from Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows so just let Ricochet take it instead he has a history with The O.C, the more I think about this the more it makes sense.] I know Mysterio wasn't originally meant to be at this pay-per-view, but work with me here, Mysterio and Lesnar as I have already pointed out have recent history so it wouldn't have taken too much to continue it and get a good match out of it, I mean it just took me once again no time at all to think of a solidly good match for one of the Main Event slots [and just to cover my back I don't care about the Brand-Split if it is still a thing or not,] I mean if you're keeping score that is now two characters/performers I have put forward that would have been much better than this match here.

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Revolution 2020 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Revolution 2020 by AverageMansReviews

I should just point out some things: I haven't seen this week's episode of AEW Dynamite yet, we get it on Friday nights in my country, yes I could find out the results now but I prefer to watch it without knowing and if I take the time to explain something here I won't have to explain it in great detail anymore, but I will just put rematch at the next pay-per-view when it is appropriate.

Now I looked at the following pay-per-view after this which it is AEW Double or Nothing 2020, so taking this pay-per-view name as an expression/gambling terminology this leads me to think the stakes for some of these feuds/ matches will be raised at AEW Double or Nothing 2020 or in one case the pay-per-view after Double or Nothing 2020 [AEW Fyter Fest 2020] which find a new No1 Contender for this pay-per-view and for the following pay-per-view [AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020] have a tag team match for the Main Event and have the rematch at AEW All Out 2020, this will make better sense later on.

The Dark Order vs. SCU: my pick is The Dark Order, because this match will be good but it is more about this storyline, we will probably find out the main leader of The Dark Order here, yes they could do SCU win the match and them getting surrounded by The Dark Order and someone comes down to help SCU and then betray them. But I would greatly prefer The Dark Order, because to keep them looking as a real threat to the landscape of AEW the best way to do this is for them to pick up a W. and give the main leader of The Dark Order a proper entrance or you know something creative instead of just betraying SCU

PAC vs. Orange Cassidy: my pick is PAC, in short I can't see him losing here.

Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara: my pick is Sammy Guevara, by outside interference, rematch of the next pay-per-view.

Jake Hager vs. Dustin Rhodes: my pick is Jake Hager, because it is his in-ring debut and on top of that it is on pay-per-view, he has been paired with someone who will be a stiff competition for him in a wrestling sense in Dustin Rhodes and make him look good as well; rematch at the next pay-per-view, under the theory of  Hager may have won the battle, but he didn't win the war so Rhodes will want to go again.

Cody vs. MJF: my pick is MJF, by interference; rematch at the next pay-per-view.

 The Young Bucks vs.
the AEW Tag Team Champions Hangman Page & Kenny Omega: my pick is Hangman Page & Kenny Omega, because they have recently won these Championships and I can see Hangman Page using frowned upon means to get the W. which will continue the breakdown between these Elite members, so at the next pay-per-view adding one or two teams such as The Lucha Brothers and The Butcher, The Blade & The Bunny in a Four-Way Ladder Match for the AEW Tag Team Championships.

I should just point out; I don't see them, doing a 100% rematch between these Elite members, I feel they may want to continue with this slow burn friction with having partially one eye on each other and one eye on the other two teams and the latter match stipulation is important because of the name of this pay-per-view and it is such a high risk/gamble being in a Ladder Match

 Kris Statlander vs.
the AEW Women's Worlds Champion Nyla Rose: my pick is Nyla Rose, because she has recently won this Championship, I am sure they won't do this but please don't use the squash match formula, we have two female characters/performers that are too good in their own right to be given this match formula here and if this company want competitive Divisions they should try and avoid the squash match formula in their Championship matches, unless looking at the bigger picture they are telling a story or something positive like that, I feel a cough coming on unlike Ricochet vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WWE Super ShowDown 2020; who said that? But AEW should really aim to do Awesome Kong vs. the AEW Woman's Champion Nyla Rose at AEW All Out 2020 [a big match for a big pay-per-view, I am in two minds if Rose should keep this Championship until this pay-per-view or drop it once between now and this pay-per-view.]

Jon Moxley vs. the AEW Worlds Champion Chris Jericho: my pick is Chris Jericho, now this is going to take a little bit of explaining, I see Jericho winning here with interference, Moxley winning at AEW Double or Nothing 2020, taking on another Inner-Circle member at AEW Fyter Fest 2020 for the AEW Championship, then a tag team match at AEW Fight for the Fallen Sammy Guevara & Chris Jericho vs. Darby Allin & the AEW Worlds Champion Jon Moxley and then we head off to AEW All Out with Chris Jericho vs. the AEW Worlds Champion Jon Moxley with the score one a piece between them [another big match for this pay-per-view.]

Firewall 2006 by AverageMansReviews

Firewall 2006 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is poor

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, background music, cultural elements, quick moving effects, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement: this film is painfully slow, yes it does pick its feet up roughly in the final quarter or somewhere around here, but this film does feel much longer than roughly 105 minutes

Storyline/Back stories: the storyline is either on its own merit or combined with the movement is terrible based on the facts that as I have already said for the majority of this film it never seems to get going at any great speed or  an engageable tempo, so consequently when it does show signs of life it feels like a mad dash to fit everything in and on top of that the viewers will feel cheated, because this title has a question mark style ending for an ending from this perspective as our lead character/performer has so much explaining to do with his family to the place he works and the authorities, but the audience will never find out because the ending credits begin

Back stories; they either get shown to us by reconnaissance [photographs in the opening credits] or discussed in the dialogue exchanges and there is a little bit of a storyteller element as well as this character/performer is trying to get the children to think about something else, where they are somewhere else other than here

Action sequences/Artistic visions: there are weapons being used, combat and chasing, our lead character/lead role does this little jump down to enter this apartment, the artistic visions are around this lake and Lake House, these small scenes are good.

Character developments/Performances/Blooper: now this is where I get to really tear into this film; so let's begin we have an eight-year-old boy [Andy Stanfield] which is allergic to nuts and a 14-year-old teenager [Sarah Stanfield.] So Andy is friendly towards the main criminal [Bill Cox; he knows a lot about this family including Andy's dietary requirements in this scene where Cox is making pancakes and then our lead character [Jack Stanfield] basically tells him not to be which this is fair enough, as you will see/read more of this review you will understand why I am putting this all in here.

Later on in this film; we have Cox and Andy; Cox promises Andy there is no nuts in these cookies; which by this point we and this family have seen what this criminal with his associates can do; which as an eight-year-old based on what his Father had said [I know as an eight-year-old we would probably ignore our parents sometimes, but in this case at this point he had seen/experienced what these characters were like,] so why didn't he just say no or walk away or if walking away wasn't an option at the very least put up a fight, just anything just not willing.

Moving on to Sarah; now in this scene her Father says "Honey I need your iPod?" With that she asks "Will I get it back?" With that he says "Sure I promise." So let me get this right you have this highly dangerous situation going on and all this 14-year-old teenager can think about is her iPod, I can't be the only one thinking this 14-year-old teenager needs to look around at the situation she and her family are currently in to realize that her iPod is not the biggest deal right now

Moving on to Cox; so he and his associates have done all this reconnaissance on this family; is that right? So why didn't they do this job a week earlier because the item they need would still be here, but now it has been moved to somewhere else, because of this merger which this main criminal should know about. You know his to do list should have been; reconnaissance on this place then this item and then this family, come on even The Wet Bandits [from HomeAlone 1990] did better reconnaissance than this. On a quick side note before someone points this out; this duo goes under a different name in the 1992 sequel; The Sticky Bandits, but seriously Cox should have seen the bigger picture instead of just a small component of Jack and his family.

The more I am thinking about it Jack's Secretary [Janet Stone] in this scene as he is aggressively entering her apartment seems to take on board what he tells her without too much fuss minus the fuss before and during him wrapping himself around her and on top of that there is misleading character developments as it relates to [Harry Romano,] by this small telephone call sequence it has been designed as if he is in on it as well as this big reveal. I have two things to say about this; 1. It was too early to reveal this. 2. Without giving too much away, it is/was a pointless waste of time, I mean I was leaning towards Harry being involved somehow anyway, they really should have restructured this sequence and tried to keep the mystery going, like have this telephone call just from Cox's perspective.

Generally speaking the character developments are the standard for this kind of film and nothing special, the performances are likewise nothing special I mean yes there is cosmetic chemistry/friction but feeling it is there is nothing there.

Blooper; I have chosen to see this as a blooper because I find it strange and it bugs me and this is something for you to look out for. Now Jack enters Harry's apartment he is wet; he very casually goes for this little yellow hand towel which is situated in this wooden unit thing first of all what is this yellow hand towel doing here [I mean I know it is meant to be here for this reason,] but to cover up this fact here Harry could have left out some clean washing; you know he will put it away after coming home from work that kind of thing, so when Jack is in this scene he sees this pile of washing and uses a hand towel and secondly Jack could have slowly drifted towards the computer at the same time as doing this, just to try and keep the film going and not make it look/feel like it is, as this scene is; it's like I feel by his body language he is saying "Give me two seconds to dry off and I will continue with the film." When you see it you will understand why I find it so strange and it bugs me, it's like we are an inconvenience for that moment.

This film receives: 1/10, now I have done this review I never have to see this film again unless for some strange reason I lose this review.

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Super ShowDown 2020 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Super ShowDown 2020 by AverageMansReviews

Naomi vs. the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley: my pick is Bayley, just because it would be a waste of time for a character/performer who has spent more time on screen, going through a Heel turn in recent history and then for her to lose her Championship at a let's be honest a highly controversial series of pay per views or whilst I am being honest let's just call them what they are "Nothing but glorified house shows" to another character/performer which hasn't been seen on screen until quite recently, so Naomi is just here to take the loss

The Street Profits vs.
the Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Murphy: my pick is Seth Rollins & Murphy, in short it is way too early to have new Champions here what with the recent formation of Rollins's new stable.

The first-ever Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match: my pick is Bobby Lashley, just because to give him a little push and may be do something with him or I could make the same case for Erick Rowan to be fair, but I will stick with my first choice and considering the Rusev four-way feud is over [involving Lana and Morgan] and Rusev looks to be heading towards the exit door of the WWE which I am delighted about because  Rusev is a Main Event character whatever persona he takes next/performer but he isn't going to reach that level with this company that is for sure but as it relates to Lashley he needs something to do.]

Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin Steele Cage Match: my pick is
Roman Reigns, wellI am sure everyone is either asking or at least thinking why is this feud still going on? Is it me or is this just a holding pattern feud;you know what I mean, we have nothing else better for these two characters/performers to do at the moment so let's just have them going up against one another until we have something better for one or both of them to do

The Miz & John Morrison vs.
the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day: my pick is The Miz & John Morrison, I know we have one more pay-per-view before WrestleMania 36 [WWE Elimination Chamber 2020,] but I would begin their title Championships reign here, so that they have some time with these Championships so that it opens up the possibility of them losing them at WrestleMania 36, I should just point out I don't see them losing them here but I would greatly prefer taking this route, it brings an element of unpredictability into play, because if they don't win them here you know with 100% certainty they are winning them at WrestleMania 36 and on a quick side note you don't bring in someone like John Morrison not to put Championships on him and The Miz carries Championships how they should be carried anyway.

Now as it relates to The New Day, I wouldn't feel right taking these Championships off them at the pay-per-view before WrestleMania 36 considering when I am dictating this their reign as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions is comfortably over 100 days long, it would just feel like a two finger "Stone Cold" salute to them and I know Mr. McMahon is excellent at doing this to Kingston [his last WWE Championship defense, I am specifically making reference to how long this match went on and Kingston's fall from grace back into the mid-card and not the fact he lost to Lesnar that was an nailed on conclusion.]

Goldberg vs.
the Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt: my pick is Goldberg, even though I have chosen Goldberg, I am thinking like Mr. McMahon in short because I have discussed this in a previous blog [In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Royal Rumble 2020] I will leave the link down the bottom, I would have hands-down made this match a Ladder Match just to protect “The Fiend” yes he loses but he doesn't get pinned and just for the record yes I had a very similar idea for this upcoming WrestleMania, but I am dealing with things as they are now in front of me.

I am strongly against the idea of “The Fiend” losing his Universal Championship and getting pinned on the same night, it just feels way too much to give away all in one go but having said that if they want Goldberg to look strong going into WrestleMania 36, taking down “The Fiend” would absolutely do that in one night, so yes I hate it but unfortunately it makes sense to do this and it is a strong name in Goldberg to inflict the first loss on to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.

I am also far from happy he is going to lose his Championship here instead of WrestleMania 36 where it deserves to be, yes I am aware he won this Championship in this part of the world, hold on as I am dictating this blog I wouldn't be too surprised if “The Fiend” lost here so it has this he won and lost his first Universal Championship as Bray Wyatt/“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in this part of the world, I am still far from happy about this but the more time I spend thinking about it, the more time I am thinking this is a inevitable conclusion, because of everything I have said about Goldberg, “The Fiend” and as of this blog his reign with this Championship is also comfortably over 100 days long.

There is only one thing that could really screw up this match even before they get into the squared circle and it would be Goldberg's ritual, now yes I have never seen this ritual but it is well-known and if you don't know it; it is where he head butts a locker or a wall or something hard before coming out of his locker room to get himself up for the match and if I have never mention this before I am mentioning it now but nevertheless Bill Goldberg please, please stop performing this ritual, because it would be nice to see you get in the ring in one piece, that is all I am saying.

Ricochet vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar: my pick is Brock Lesnar, no disrespect to Ricochet, but why is this match even happening? It just seems like a complete waste of time; based on the facts that it is clear that Ricochet is going to take the loss here and he will be very lucky not to get the squash match treatment like Cain Velasquez which also very conveniently happened in this part of the world as well.

I mean if you look on this company's website they are even advertising Drew McIntyre vs. the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 right now so talk about a spoiler, I mean they can't even be bothered to try and hide the fact he is winning here, they could have just had McIntyre and the WrestleMania 36 graphics just behind him; just until this pay-per-view had been and gone.

So how precisely is this A. going to help Ricochet in his stock within the WWE [which it isn't if anything it is going to put him in a worse position after this Championship match/opportunity which makes no sense] and B. what makes them think people are going to pay for this pay-per-view when they see this Main Event match at the top of the card, what they should do is put Goldberg vs. the Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in the Main Event slot, at least it would take me less than a second to justify it; just by saying Goldberg vs. the Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.

Tin Toy 1988 by AverageMansReviews

Tin Toy 1988 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good

Fundamental elements: there is background music, cultural elements, no subtitles when another language is being used and place jumps.

Storyline: this little Tin Toy is frightened for his life when he is in front or being chased by this baby [Billy.]

Artistic visions/Comedy level/Character developments/
Action sequences: now at one point or another these components work hand-in-hand so let's begin; the artistic visions/animation are by today's standards looking vintage particularly as it relates to Billy in every way shape and form. I am not trying to be too critical but to put a positive spin on this; it just shows how far we have come in computer animation from this timeframe of the late 1980's until today 2020.

The camera work is designed/shot using the formula of Jack and the Beanstalk [where to our lead character everything minus the other toys he meets looks bigger to him and to us as well] and on top of that we have a little bit of this project from a birds eye perspective.

Comedy level, Character developments & action sequences; we have Billy playing with this blue ring, which is a part of these different colour rings that are situated on this small yellow poll [a pyramid set,] so he puts it in his mouth with that our lead role/character breaks the fourth-wall for a moment looking at the camera with absolute fear in his eyes and on his face and I am pretty sure he quickly mouths "Help!" [I have replayed this little element many times including getting a secondary opinion which she confirmed it,] whilst Billy is sitting just a little way  away from our lead role/character; he decides to not wait around and make a run for it, but as our lead role/character has been designed to make a sound every time he moves forward, yes he does make a little bit of sound going backwards, as you will see but because of his inner workings he has been designed to go forwards; this will quickly get Billy's attention.

Voice performances: the voice performances these are good.

This film receives: 7/10, after everything is said and done I finally settled on this mark, without saying too much more the final section of this project is a heartwarming touch as generally speaking babies like to do this anyway, they are more interested in what things like to come in instead of the thing inside.

On a quick side note as it relates to these short projects I have reviewed lately, where I said something to the effect of I couldn't find out who did them, this was true at the time. But then it came to me I had forgotten to look at the closing credits themselves [yes I know; in hindsight this should have been my first destination.]

So I have looked and if I couldn't find the cast I looked under sound or something like this [just to cover my back for the previous, the present and future.] So having an educated guess yes I could be wrong, but having a guess they could have done the voice performances or the sound effects for the characters as well, I should just point out I specifically looked out for sound and not music.

One Man Band 2005/2006 by AverageMansReviews

One Man Band 2005/2006 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is lots of fun, this project is only roughly 4 minutes long

Fundamental elements: there is background music, cultural elements, time jumps and place jumps.

Storyline: these two individual street musicians are busking for this little girl's money, but the problem is she only has one coin; this coin was originally meant for this water fountain to make a wish [just to cover my back this is just speculation, but in fairness to myself there is enough evidence here to suggest this is what she was going to do before this street musician interfered/got her attention and whilst I am speculating here, something tells me her wish came true anyway; after watching this project this will make much more better sense.]

Artistic visions/Character developments/Action sequences: now all three of these points go hand-in-hand at some point in this project. The first thing is the artistic visions are really easy to settle down with throughout this project and this Theatre presentation idea is/was a charming idea as it invites the viewers to step from our world into theirs if it is just only for a very short amount of time, the character developments are likewise very easy to understand [there is only a drop of sound effects as it relates to the voice performances; this is good,] so it is up to the facial expressions, body language and the music being played to put across the emotions and what is happening.

Action sequences; it is this contest of "Whatever you can do I can do better" between these two street musicians

This film receives: 10/10, as I have already said this film is lots of fun there are two final things I would like to say; the first is I would strongly recommend not making this little girl angry and the second thing is; this is just a heads up there is a scene after the ending credits and then the words "The End"

Finding Dory: Marine Life Interviews 2016 by AverageMansReviews

Finding Dory: Marine Life Interviews 2016 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is lots of fun, this project is only roughly 2 minutes long

Fundamental elements: there are time jumps and place jumps.

Storyline: these characters get interviewed to share their experiences as it relates to Dory.

Artistic visions: the artistic visions/animation is easy to settle down with

Comedy level: this Beluga Whale [Bailey] has problems with using his echolocation

Character developments/Performances: on both counts they are good.

This film receives: 10/10, now this mark may need some explaining and here it is; now in the UK we have/had this TV program by the name of Creature Comforts 2003 from Aardman Animations which uses the same interview format as this project does, but there is one massive difference between this project and this TV program. This project uses computer animation as for Creature Comforts it is stop motion animation, but the result is the same from this perspective I find it lots of fun.

Hot Shots! 1991 by AverageMansReviews

Hot Shots! 1991 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is lots of fun

Warning: there are elements of animal cruelty/cannibalism in the comedy level of this project

Fundamental elements: there are numbers and words on screen, voice-over elements, mental imagery, background music, cultural elements, yes and no to subtitles being used when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement; this in itself is a smooth ride, because every component of this title knows what it is doing from beginning to end

Storyline/Back stories: the storyline is a parody of Top Gun 1986 and it is really good, the back stories get shown to the viewers by mental imagery or discussed in the dialogue exchanges.

Comedy level/Action sequences/Artistic visions: the comedy level and the action sequences go hand-in-hand; the artistic visions also go hand-in-hand with the comedy level now and again.

Generally speaking on all three components because in one way or another there is lots to choose from. The Comedy level has a continuous presence be it inhaling on this peace pipe or our lead role/character trying to impress this female character/performer on his motorcycle, whilst she is doing horseback riding; it turns into a competition of "whatever you can do I can do better" and without giving too much away she wins hands down.

This title also uses for some strange reason a recurring comedy element of characters/performers almost sitting on this small dog, yes just for the record this dog is absolutely fine he/she barks to inform this individual "I am sitting here" then he gets moved out of the way. There is another dog in this project as well he/she is chasing this Fighter Jet as it is taking off from this Navy ship into combat, to be more specific it is chasing its wheels and one final thing about the comedy level it is all over the place including if you look around the scenes, a little bit of breaking the fourth-wall and the dark element I have already mentioned earlier on in this review.

Action sequences; there is training, boxing, combat, Fighter Jets and other Navy hardware and the artistic visions come from; the viewers see from the perspective of this characters/performer's vision, instruments being played, singing and dancing.

Character developments/Performances: the character developments and the performances are excellent, I mean there is excellent chemistry/friction yes depending where you are; is depending what you get, but having to keep in character being serious whilst simultaneously being comical and moving on in this scene or in the bigger picture the film has to be given high praise indeed.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is a classic as it relates to parodies and if you haven't seen it yet, this is one of those films that you need to see once in your lifetime. [On a quick side note there are three performers in this project that at one point worked on the US TV program Two and a Half Men in Sheen, Cryer and Stiles.]

The Adventures of André & Wally B. 1984/1991 [alternative name André and Wally B.] by AverageMansReviews

The Adventures of André & Wally B. 1984/1991 [alternative name André and Wally B.] by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good, this project is only roughly 2 minutes long.

Fundamental elements: there is background music, place jump and time jump

Storyline: it is an autumn's morning we the viewers meet André just waking up and let's just say he has a bad start to his day.

Artistic visions/Comedy level/Character developments/
Voice performances: these four components go hand-in-hand in one way or another. The artistic visions/animation; let's get the white elephant out of the room and say yes the animation is looking vintage by today's standards [yes I am aware using a word such as vintage means something gets better over time or something to the effect.] But I use it in the context of respect or in any cases where I watch any old project not just animation but generally speaking any.

Because of the fact in history [yes depending where you are; they just may be didn't have the resources or the technology that we have today.] But back to this project in question; so yes it may look a little bit vintage but it isn't without its charms such as for three examples the autumn colour system or both of our characters having big eyes and big noses.

Comedy level; for a moment it breaks the fourth-wall as André looks down the camera at us [after doing this look over there with his body language/facial expressions with pointing his finger] to put this across via body language, facial expression [smiling] with his laugh through his teeth with doing all of this; it puts over to the viewers "I know, I can't believe he fell for that either." Before quickly running away whilst still laughing

Character developments & Voice performances; now as you can see/read from the previous paragraph these are all good on both counts; these two characters are really likable and there is good chemistry/friction. There are no words being spoken yes sound effects but no words, but good work here.

This film receives: 6/10, as I have already said this film is good; I just wish there was more of this project, because there was lots of potential here, by extending the running away/chasing element by doing this putting things in the way that kind of thing so the chaser [Wally B.] has a lot to do to sting his target and if you're wondering, yes if they made this project longer in any way shape or form so maybe not using my idea but generally made this project longer I would have given it a slightly higher mark, it's just roughly 2 minutes or less isn't much to go on, but as I have already said there was a lot of potential here. [On a quick side note both of these titles are either weird considering there is no adventure here or it is straight to the point, I would have named this project "Bad Start to an Autumn's Day" instead of either one of these two titles.]

Lifted 2006/2007 by AverageMansReviews

Lifted 2006/2007 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is excellent, this project is roughly about 5 minutes long.

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, background music, cultural elements, time jumps and place jumps.

Storyline: this teenage Alien is on his Human Abducting Test.

Artistic visions/Character developments/Voice performances: the artistic visions/animation of this title is imaginative and really easy to settle down with even though this project is roughly 5 minutes long there is lots to see for one example this poor individual being flung around his house in this tractor beam, but don't worry somehow he remains a sleep throughout this entire ordeal. The character developments; now all three of these components work hand-in-hand be it the animation showing these aliens personalities, body language, emotions and all of that being complimented with these voice/sound effects [these two Aliens don't talk but however there are sound effects and not forgetting this attempted abducted individual does wake up in the ending credits and screams] so this is good work here.

Comedy level: it is of good-natured; in short would can't go wrong for this alien will go wrong; at its heart here is a human description, it is something like when you go to The Arcades and there are soft toys [could be teddy bears] machines, all you have to do is use this mechanical claw [with a joystick and button] to pick it up and navigate it to the exit and then drop your prize in there without dropping it before hand, but this interpretation has been based in the genre of science fiction, but in hindsight and no I am not going to take any marks off for this; this has just come to me as an observation, they could have done one more comedy element, situated around he and we find out; if he has failed or passed, I am sure he and we know he has failed but it would have been nice to know anyway.

This film receives: 8/10, as I have already said this film is excellent, if you have ever wondered what could go wrong in an human abduction this project will show you.

FernGully: The Last Rainforest 1992 by AverageMansReviews

FernGully: The Last Rainforest 1992 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is excellent

Warning: this is just a heads up if you're thinking about showing this project two young children there are some dark themes/scenes situated around our evil character for this project and there is a Star Wars type death.

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, words on screen, background music, cultural elements, environmental, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement; it is straightforward [yes this will not be the only time I say straightforward in this review,] but for here and now it is something reliably always moving forward.

Storyline/Moral message/Back stories: the storyline and the moral message is straightforward as this film has been designed to make people aware of the environment and what road we are heading down, the back stories either get a storyteller format [at the very beginning of the film] by showing to us illustrations with voice-over at the same time or sung to us in musical numbers or discussed in the dialogue exchanges; these components are good and as you can see there is good variety as well.

Artistic visions/Action sequences/Comedy level: the artistic visions can be easily seen/heard as we are all taken on this adventure by being shrunk down to the size of a fairy, so everything seems much bigger [like the animals or insects and many other things] as these three characters are heading for FernGully, this project is easy to settle down with and easy on the eyes; be it when these two characters are going up this tree, by its growths on it that can be used as steps/climbing or this sparkling sequence [trust me you'll know what I mean when you come to it; it is impossible to miss even though on first looks, I was under the impression they were stars but I went back and looked again this sequence/location is just incredibly sparkly] or the dark intent of our evil character. The musical numbers are well-placed and they don't interrupt the flow of the film, so there is a good switch between storyline to musical number and back again these are also good.

Action sequences; there is this Skysurfing sequence [but using a leaf instead of a Skyboard and yes this can be seen as an artistic vision as well,] a weapon, loggin vehicles and equipment, rescuing including having a character fly on the back of another character.

Comedy level; it comes from this character his name is Batty Koda [voice performance by Williams,] unfortunately this character has had many experiments performed on him, so consequently he has a multiple personality disorder so every time something or somebody touches this aerial on the side of his head, this character will completely change as a character/bat which Williams does this flawlessly to perfection

Character developments/Voice performances: now minus what I have just said in the previous paragraph, all the other character developments/performances are good.

This film receives: 8/10, as I have already said this film is excellent and yes likewise it does have a clear environmental message as well, but providing your children can handle the contents of this project; this is one of those films that you can sit down as a family on a Sunday afternoon and watch it altogether, I mean on top of that this project isn't long either roughly about 76 minutes and one final thing if you haven't seen this project before, this is one of those projects that you need to see one's in your lifetime.

The Favourite 2018 by AverageMansReviews

The Favourite 2018 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good

Warning: there are scenes of animal cruelty

Fundamental elements: there are words and numbers [Roman Numerals] on screen, voice-over elements, mental imagery, background music, cultural elements, slow-motion effects, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement/Background music; the movement of this project has been designed to be put together/divided into acts or chapters like when you go to the Theater [minus the curtains.]

Camera shots/the viewers are generally speaking in close proximity to the character's/performers so we could be walking with them or something else either individually or with another character or characters/performer or performers, but whatever the case may be it is a reliably engaging rapport with what is happening on screen and their viewers, once again generally speaking the background music does what it is designed to which is to build atmosphere, but having said that it can be a little bit annoying in a small part of this film [let's just say you will know when you come across it; it is slow.]

Storyline/Back stories: the storyline is good, it is based on real-life events and the back stories get discussed in the dialogue exchanges.

Artistic visions/Action sequences/Comedy level: the artistic visions are clear to see be it this landscape model of this palace or these scenes or sequences or costumes or accessories, dancing and here is something for you to look out for; look out for these rabbits; they are sweet looking.

Action sequences; there are weapons being used, combat and chasing and moving on to the comedy level it is here and there for one example a character/performer shoots another character/performer, but unknown to the character/performer being shot the gun hasn't been loaded properly and yes this can be seen as an action element as well

Character developments/Performances: the character developments and the performances are very good this is a cast performance; meaning they all bring chemistry/friction to the table and it is reliably there in every scene no matter where you are in this project from beginning to end.

This film receives: 7/10, as I have already said this film is good; if you're interested in Kings and Queens of Great Britain or England or anything like that this film will suit you down to the ground

Geri's Game 1997/1998 by AverageMansReviews

Geri's Game 1997/1998 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is top-notch entertainment; this project roughly 4 minutes long.

Fundamental elements: there is background music, time jumps and place jumps.

Storyline: it is an autumn’s day, the viewers meet this old man [Geri] as he sets up a game of Chess in this location where there are plenty of seats and chairs, but who is he going to war with on this Chessboard? The best player he can think of; himself.

Artistic visions: this project instantaneously transports its audience into this location, as we see our lead role setting up this Chessboard and the camera work is to be given high praise indeed, because throughout from beginning to end; they have been designed to let us into Geri's life and this Chess Game, the landscape as it relates to the Autumn colours and everything that comes with that in this location also has to be given high praise as well for its tranquil yet eye-catching scenery and the animation for this project is standing the test of time, I mean was released in the late 90's and is still looks top-class in 2020.

Character developments/Hint/Voice performances: well the character developments are very complex, because the more and more time I spend thinking about this project, I just didn't feel it was right to put in the category of comedy level.

Because Geri is being two different people every time he moves around to a different side of the Chessboard [two different personalities and body language, let's just say he really does throw himself into this game in every way possible, including some kind of mental health problem, based on the facts, his opponent which isn't there is but is in Geri's head; is laughing at him or showing concern or something other through this game] and here is something for you to look out for; his glasses Geri wares glasses whilst his opponent doesn't wear them,] so I got thinking this could just mean he is lonely or more specifically [this is just speculation on my part] but throughout this entire game he more than likely is representing someone else like a best friend or a wife or both of these in one person and they aren't here anymore but he has promised them to come to this location at this time of year, to play a game of Chess or he has a genuine mental health problem or it is very possible, because of Geri's age it could be a mixture of these two outcomes together.

There is this wager with himself [another person] and as we leave Geri he seems really happy that he has beaten his opponent [by less than aboveboard means which also indicates his opponent was a much better player than what Geri was/is throughout this entire contest] and seems to be remembering the individual that I'm going to have a guest here and say [more speculation] used to more often than not lose to when they were alive, but on top of that as we leave Geri the audience gets this lasting memory of this man sitting on his own, yes happy, but still on his own and no one else around him [possibly with a mental health problem] as in hinting; maybe you should go and check on the elderly members of your family, just to make sure they are okay?

Voice performances; it is good.

This film receives: 10/10, as you can read this project has so much to offer its viewers in such a short amount of time that this mark was a no-brainer. [Now just to cover my back, before I receive any backlash or anything like that, I am within my rights to bring up the mental health aspects in this review because I have a mental health illness as well.]
