The Syndicate want a massive clear
out: briefly; The Syndicate is this
massive criminal empire, basically don't cross The Syndicate; for those that
have will find themselves in this situation where all of these criminals have
crossed them somehow, it doesn't matter for how long or for something minor or something
large; Vincent Moon [Ice-T:] he is one of their high up members of this
organisation and the overseer of this event; the rules are simple; the final
three that is left standing get to share $10 million, you have 6 hours to
achieve this and no you can't leave the premises or you will be shot. Lou
[Christopher Lambert:] here is one of the unfortunate participants in this
event, he is known for being a loose cannon and comical such as asking Moon I am
paraphrasing here something to the effect of; a reference to the music playing
over the sound system and where can you get a copy or something to that effect.
Generally speaking: the background music is somewhat confusing one minute
it is part of the film and then it feels like it is just designed to accompany
an action sequence and then back again to being part of the film or to cover my
back either way it could just be with the film the whole way through, but
regardless as I have just indicated; it is a very confusing element to the film
and it is really badly done regardless of what they are or were trying do with
it, we get some exposition other relates to character developments and the
pacing of this 110 minutes film is solidly good.
Action,
comedy and character developments; the action sequences are chaotic with there
being limited space, we have one character that you think is dead yet somehow
survives on more than one occasion and then we have Lou being irritating to
wind them up to provoke them into doing something.
Character
developments and performances; the character developments and the performances
on both counts are solidly good; but then again let's be completely honest here
and say without T or/and Lambert individually or together; this film would have
really struggled and without them this film would be nothing, I know it sounds
really harsh... but at the same time it is very true. You see individually or
together they give this film a level of authenticity and stability from the
aspect of a certain level of quality that individually or together they bring
to the table; in short they carry this project.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; in its entirety and after
everything is said and done this mark is a fair reflection of this project; it
knows what it is from beginning to end and it sticks to that and what with T
and/or Lambert being the conductors this film finds itself with this mark.
