The Thomas Crown Affair 1999 by AverageMansReviews

Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful effects/electrician/burning/vehicle
crash/references to immigration and child abuse
I am happy just to have gotten
through it: briefly; we meet this con artist
Thomas Crown [Pierce Brosnan:] he walks out with this painting: San Giorgio
Maggiore at Dusk 1908-1912 and now two NYPD Detectives are on the case
alongside Catherine Banning [Rene Russo:] she is an independent that works for
the owners of the painting and if she gets it back to them she has a certain
percentage of the reward money.
Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 114 minutes film is
for most parts until the final section of this film roughly incredibly slow, on
top of that the background music is loud and annoying and separately or
together our lead partnership don't help much either, but I will discuss later
on in this content.
Action
and art; we have our lead partnership in this glider in the area, this is a
good sequence: but at this point of the film I got really bored, so I kept
saying something to the effect of natural or green-screen effects when they
were being used, yes I am one of those irritating people and if you're
wondering it happens a lot in this sequence. But much later on we have this
really well executed sequence of events that without giving too much away
acquires people to look identical like The Son of Man 1964 [with brief
description of the painting: this man is dressed as if he was going to work in
an office, he is also wearing a bowler hat and a green apple covering his
face:] so we have this location being flooded by individuals similar to this:
it is a diversionary tactic
Character
developments, performances and comedy; the character developments are versions
of what they are meant to be for this crime and capture project so in essence
they are what they are, but having said that the consistent
characters/performers that we experience the only ones that were positive are
as follows; Denis Leary as NYPD Detective Michael McCann and his working
partner Frankie Faison as NYPD Detective Paretti: they are working on this case
and whenever they are on screen individually or together: the lift the quality
of the film; regardless if they are working with someone that is not putting in
the same quality of performance and the other is Faye Dunaway as The
Psychiatrist: she is the councillor/therapist of Thomas Crown and where the
comedy comes into effect in this example is where she indicates that
essentially and paraphrasing he is misguided if he thinks he can settle down
with basically a female version of him and then laughs. But for me be it the
framework or pacing or Brosnan and/or Russo performances were individually or
together very dry and lacking any charisma or on-screen presence and together
they had no on-screen charisma or spark or anything it was just a whole load of
zero really.
This film receives: 3/10, this film is poor; yes it does have some
positives to it, that man negatives really dragging this film down to the point
where I was just happy to get through it. This film does have some awards
accredited to its name such as 3 Winners include but not limited to Blockbuster
