Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/cutting/terrorism/vehicle crash/kamikaze/medical/references to suicide

It takes roughly 54 minutes for there to be any ice or snow: briefly; Mike McCann [Liam Neeson:] after losing his brother, he is now going to hopefully climb Mount Everest as they said they would, but as you will see his journey takes a detour.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script, framework and pacing of this 114 is well certainly something: what you want me to say about the storyline/script? That it should have never been made as it has very little to do with what this franchise is founded upon, other than that the framework and pacing is slow and steady

Art and action; of the biggest problems with this film is not only script wise but also visually there is very little usage of snow or ice at best I am going to be kind and say maybe in total the amount of ice or snow we get to see in this film is may be off the top of my head about 15 minutes at best, the only ancient sequence that really stood out as an artistic visions were using this machinery to either pull up or/and use it as the bridge, other than that we have chasing, gunfire or/and combat of a decent standard.

Character developments and performances; they are all pretty much generic and fall into a character types, the same can be said for the performances as well: Liam Neeson as Mike McCann and Fan Bingbing as Dhani Yangchen: she is McCann's guide to Mount Everest: are very much the driving force behind title/project, so they put in solid work, but even they are not exempt from criticism as characters go: yes now and again there are some moments of character/chemistry building, which you have to pay attention for, because if you don't without giving too much away it makes the ending awkward and confusing and even if you do pay attention: there is no way they do enough character building to justify the ending.

This film receives: 3/10, this film is poor; I have no idea why this film was actually green lit, but just looking over the related content, somehow it did better than its original, okay not by much but still did better. Like I said to the person I want some of this content with: this film would have done actually better if it was a sequel and it was just titled as a different project in its entirety. I should point out when I say better I mean maybe the next section of my marking system up.
