Maybe the last adventure: briefly; The Goonies are a group of kids from this
community; their leader is Michael "Mikey" Walsh [Sean Astin:] he is
an asthmatic that comes up with the idea to save their home/community that The
Goonies would go and search for One-Eye Willy's treasure, alongside the oldest
member of The Goonies and is older brother Brandon "Brand" Walsh
[Josh Brolin:] he is in high school and the athletic member of The Goonies; The
Goonies have just about one day to achieve this before they lose everything that
is important to them.
Generally
speaking: the framework and pacing of this
114 minutes film is good; it clear I know is what it wants to do and just get
on with it really
Comedy, action and art; well this is one of those
occasions where I just have to say; as it is; it makes being overweight one of
its legacy moments; known as The Truffle Shuffle as performed by Lawrence
"Chunk" Cohen [Jeff Cohen:] he is a chunky member of The Goonies:
that likes his food and in fact he can smell it out as well: by the way a quick
description of this dance move is where; he lives up his top and shakes his
tummy, Clark "Mouth" Devereaux
[Cory Freeman:] he is the mouthy one of the group and as you will see he can
also speak Spanish, in one sequence he gives the wrong interpretation on
purpose, as it relates to the action sequences the majority of The Goonies strapping Brand to this chair,
using this old-style of strict weight/resistance so here it acts like a rope
and finally we have Richard "Data" Wang [Ke Huy Quan:] he is an inventor/gadget
guy on The Goonies: let's just say some of the gadgets are broadly speaking a
hit or miss throughout this adventure: such as these slippery heel shoes as
they make the ground slightly behind him with works or then this boxing glove
that works or you get hit in the face by it. The art as it relates to these
booby-traps have been excellently thought through such as for this morning
referenced because I don't want to give too much away this beautifully
constructed piano concept with deadly consequences if you should fail, but on
top of that from beginning to end we have little bits to see and to experience.
Character developments and performances; as you may have
guess by now this film uses a simple yet, in-depth character types designation
style of character developments and this goes for the entire cast including the
ones I haven't referenced and because of this; you can also merge the
coming-of-age style of character developments as well: so from an overview
perspective in one day these children/teenagers are richer for this experience;
the cast of performances are founded upon chemistry or/dynamic on some level or
another; so based on all this and decided to award another mark to this title.
This
film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; it
most definitely deserves to be seen once in your lifetime, I mean I hadn't seen
it all the way through until today [Sunday,] when I had the opportunity to go
and see this film at the cinema for its 40th anniversary, with the person I
watch some of this content with. This film also has some wards accredited to
its name such as 4 Winners the includes but not limited to National Film
Preservation Board, USA 2017 and 7 Nominees which also includes but not limited
to Young Artist Awards 1986 Young Artist Award Exceptional Performance by a
Young Actress - Motion Picture Martha Plimpton as Stephanie "Stef" Steinbrenner: she
is a young lady that can handle herself, as she and Kerri Green as Andrea
Theresa "Andy" Carmichael: she is a warm and a well rounded person
that happens to be a cheerleader as well: these two women are best friends that
join The Goonies in this adventure.
