We have a mission: briefly; Zora Bennett [Scarlett Johansson:] she is a Black Ops specialist, she is getting paid/her team is getting paid a lot of money by ParkerGenix to go to this location and complete this mission; which is to ensure the safe retrieval of these three blood samples; but he is the problem in a nutshell they have to be of living dinosaurs; one of water, one of land and one of air. Duncan Kincaid [Mahershala Ali:] he is also a Black Ops specialist, he goes way back with Burnett, he also is the captain of this vessel they use to get to this location and is the second one in command after Burnett and finally we have Dr. Henry Loomis [Jonathan Bailey:] he is a paleontologist, basically the science guy and the inventor of these blood storing devices.

Generally speaking: I can't stand the script; without giving too much away with; two narratives; one with the Black Ops and the other with his family and yes they converge and then go off in another direction and then converge again and then end of the film; basically the one or the other don't do both, because what will happen is based on my viewing experience; I couldn't give two dumplings about either to be honest and full disclosure and missed a bit of the film based on I had to go to the restroom and even though this project has been called a standalone sequel they could very easily make it into another trilogy; as this has that odour of an origin plot/continuation from existing history; yes the framework and pacing of this 133 minutes film is solidly good and likewise the back and forth between these two narratives is also good.

Comedy, art and action; the comedy is stuck in the 1990s; as we have this loud crunching thing; not once but twice and once may have been funny, but twice is pushing your luck and on top of this we have this stone head [marijuana character] which follows those particular character blueprints; such as joking about giving marijuana to a younger character or/and going to the rest room whilst this situation unfolds behind him.

Look when this project wants to be highly engaging from time to time such as these longnecked hybrid dinosaurs then; it looks fantastic and this goes for the landscapes, scenery and etc and this sentiment can be echoed for the action sequences as well; there is an underwater sequence of events, the only dinosaur action sequence regardless of issues or not [I can't remember] is seeing our old adversarial the breed of dinosaur known as the Tyrannosaurus rex and this rubber dinghy with the added garnish of comedy that the dinghy survives.

Now let's discuss the issue; the issue being Oh I don't know there is way too much usage of and here is the key point garbage; absolute garbage green-screen actually garbage doesn't really describe it; absolute manure would be right. To the point where; they are the worst by a galaxy as it relates to the entirety of the Jurassic franchise and these aren't small issues, these are fundamental no-no's by today's standards, to the point that they would like they have come from the 1970s [no disrespect to this generation or any after it,] but when you have a film being released in 2025; where you can clearly see the divide between the background i.e. green-screen and what is moving over it: for experienced film connoisseurs/goer as soon as I say this you will know precisely what I mean: the black outline of what is essentially real and what isn't is so easy to pick up on to the point where I can say this 100% no guilt attached; they didn't even bother attempting or even trying to cover it up: for one example we have Bennett and Dr. Loomis abseiling down this cliffs let's just say one is finding it easy and the other isn't even know they have some experience of it inside somewhere, yes this is another cheap comedy reference, but my point here is this; the green screen is like nails on a chalkboard to me as it is so obvious.

Character development and performances; broadly speaking the character developments are at worst terrible, mid-range adequate and at best solidly good versions of what they are meant to be; at one point or another one of these three points will apply. With these Black Ops characters their back stories get referenced, but they are delivered in such a way that the viewing audiences should know what they are talking about, which clearly we don't, which as it relates to Bennett for now it is okay that we don't talk about her relative, so that becomes adequate for now and obviously if they don't have a sequel in mind it makes this choice made a complete waste of time also; but for now adequate. But if we were to take all of these characters and their character types on face value I would say they were solidly good if only slightly outdated as it relates to the stone head.

The performances; of this family unit are safe and reliable, I mean if this is what they were going for they hit the nail on the head, but this film really needs the free performers I have put in the opening section of this content and let me give this trio some career advice; whenever they paid you to do this film simply put; if they do a sequel make sure you double your price whatever the price was; because between the three of you or single or different pairings; you are the driving force behind the financial success of this title; as you all seemingly understand and/or fit in with other characters/performers from previous generations of this franchise.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; now even though I have clearly pointed out positives of this project, let's just say is that counterbalance to the situation where the bad is so bad that it reminds me of that iconic scene where from Jurassic Park 1993: Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm: comes across this massive of manure, but let's leave this content on a positive if you are a fan of at least one of the trio I have mentioned, you should go and see this film on the big screen, but I would go with very low expectations and if you want to stick around right at the end there are some sound effects of dinosaurs and finally this film has 1 Nominees to its name such as Digital Spy Reader Awards 2024 Movie Award Most Anticipated Movie of 2025 2nd place
