Let’s
go on an adventure with three children; based in the the 19th century:
Tom, Mary[voiced by Conor MacNeill & Alisha Weir:] a brother and sister
that have made their journey from Ireland to the USA to meet their uncle, but
when he doesn't show up they decide to make the journey to his house and on that
journey they meet Governess Eleanor [voiced by Gemma Arterton:] she looks after
all of these orphans children and hopefully find them homes including Nick/other name [voiced by Unknown:] a heavily paralysed individual in a wheelchair, but when
they get off the train at the wrong time; their real adventure can begin.
Generally
speaking: the framework and pacing of this 93
minutes is good; it is straightforward
Art, action and comedy; the art/animation is
predominantly mostly easy to settle down with as it has a simple yet colourful
palette, but one thing that stuck out for me and it was some of these characters
have really circle faces; which because of another project which I haven't
reviewed under this name yet; Capture The Flag 2015 [alternative name Atrapa la
bandera] it used heavily circle faces and as you can clearly see if I haven't
forgotten about it almost a decade later, it has certainly left its mark. But
back to present times; this film is that good that after some time it is easily
forgotten about the circle faces. Action; in one or another and making sure
their journey continues; for an example busking so be it and whatever you do
don't eat the berries that look like green grapes, because you will regret it.
Character developments and voice performances; the
character types are one wholesome as every character that means well does
actually mean well be you able, disabled or of a different cultural backgrounds
and the ones that don't are just the wrongdoers. The voice performances reflect
this wholesome nature even when at some point in this film; it isn't the most
happiest of times as our three children just keep going forward, a very smartly
chosen cast of performance were chosen, pulled over this wholesomeness, where
nothing really phrases them, I should now point out am talking about the
English version of this film as there was a Spanish version as well.
This
film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; as I
said earlier I can put to one side the really circle faces on some of these
characters, after everything is said and done; this film is a charming story
about these three children looking for a new home and through the vast majority
of the ending credits there are little extra bits and pieces. This film also
has an award accredited to it; 1 Nominee Shanghai International Film Festival
Golden Goblet Best Animation Film Juan Jesús García Galocha Pedro Solís García
