Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/transformation/ritual/vehicle crash/references to the environment, ritual and suicide

Don't take/open/read the fortune cookies: briefly; we meet Anna Coleman/other character [Lindsay Lohan:] she is a grungy teenager that has issues not only at school, but at home as well, but luckily enough she is a member of a rock band Pink Slip [leading guitarist and supporting vocalist.] Whilst we have Dr. Tess Coleman/other character [Jamie Lee Curtis:] she has two children one of them being Anna, she is a very successful psychologist and published author which in a few days we'll be getting married to Ryan Volvo [Mark Harmon:] he is a good man/fiancé that wanted to fit in with this family unit and not take over from the previous husband/father that sadly died which is mother and daughter really need to discuss; maybe they should walk a little while in each other's footsteps.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 97 minutes film is good; but having said that it really does help when the 2000's filmmaking thing so hard: they should explain a little bit more; meaning it does have that feel and presentation of a film from this timeframe which is obviously okay to a certain extent because that is when it was released, but does it have been hit it so hard? But good news after some time, it begins to relax and get on with the plot and everything else.

Character developments, performances, comedy and Art; the character developments are good; you know they have a simple yet effective outlay and they fulfil their purpose and consequently the cast performance level for the vast majority is all good, but let's be honest here; the success of this movie relies on Lohan and/or Lee Curtis; as they not only do they have to have a fluent and natural understanding of their own characters/roles, but also each other's as well as they will be spending the vast majority of this film in each other's shoes: so this synergy/coming-ofage/understanding one another much better is absolutely perfection, which not only shows when they work of one another, but it also has to be spot on for the comedy to not come off as some kind of pathetic attempt to trying to live each other's lives: so we have Lohan as Dr. Coleman ressing up in these brown trousers which made her look like an adult in a younger body whilst we had Lee Curtis as Anna: as she has the bright idea to go shopping and have a body piercing and not only that much later on she gets given this opportunity to go onto this talk show and talk about her book "Through the Looking Glass: Senescence in Retrograde" which ends up with her crowd surfing and yes both of our lead partnership play the guitar and one point or another with Lohan singing.

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; once it stops hitting the 2000's aspect so hard, it can work on slowly but surely going through the stages of my rating system and it should be most definitely seen once-in-a-lifetime especially now there is a sequel coming out very shortly Freakier Friday 2025 wave most of the original cast set to come back with some obvious new additions, there is one extra sequence straight after any signs of the closing credits and yes this film has some awards accredited to its name such as 5 Winners that include but not limited to BMI Film & TV Awards 2004 BMI Film Music Award Rolfe Kent and MTV Movie + TV Awards 2004 MTV Movie Award Breakthrough Female Performance Lindsay Lohan and Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards 2004 PFCS Award Best Live Action Family Film. 11 Nominees which also include but not limited to Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 2004 Saturn Award Best Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, Best Writing Heather Hach Leslie Dixon, and from Young Artist Awards 2004 Young Artist Award Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Actor Age Ten or Younger Ryan Malgarini as Henry Coleman: he is the son/mischievous brother of this family unit.
