Four Weddings and a Funeral, Well
that is the storyline folks see you next time: in
all seriousness: briefly; this film is about life and Charles [Hugh Grant:]
this British man and Andie MacDowell [Carrie:] this American woman of in short
will they or won't they be together?
Generally speaking: the
framework and pacing of this 117 minutes film is slow and steady for pretty
much a large amount of the opening section and beyond, but it does pick up its
feet at some point, to become upwardly mobile.
Art; with the occasions and so on and
so forth they did a excellent job of putting these locations and etc together
to give these sequence of events real authenticity.
Comedy, character developments and
performances; well as this film comes from the mid-1990s and simultaneously is
a British film; the comedy derives from a typical British standpoint of social
awkwardness; for some examples in no particular order [because let's be honest
I have gone the order of events, I apologise for that but I will still try to
endeavour to get the order right:] we have an officiant marrying this couple
that keeps screwing up his lines, but the couple helped him through his first
wedding, someone dies at most inconvenient times and finally we have a deaf
individual commenting on someone else's parents. So as you can guess the
character developments and performances reflect this sometimes British social
awkwardness and deal with things as they occur, the performances of this cast
are all good; they definitely brought the sense of camaraderie and togetherness
which this film needed to be a success at the time.
This film receives: 7/10,
this film is good; even though this film has a good mark, I would still
recommend at least a one-time viewing, it is one of those films that you need
to see once in your lifetime, at minimum just to say you have seen it and at
the end of this film we get to see these pictures of what happened. This film
also has some awards accredited to its name; such as 24 Winners that include
but not limited to BAFTA Awards 1995 BAFTA Film Award Best Actor Hugh Grant and
1995 Winner BAFTA Film Award Best Actress in a Supporting Role Kristin Scott
Thomas as Fiona: she comes across as this hard-nosed, smoking member of this
group of friends that you will see now and again in this film. 27 Nominees
would also include but not limited to Academy Awards, USA Oscar Best Picture
Duncan Kenworthy and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen
Richard Curtis
