Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful effects/animal cruelty/animal feeding/cutting/stabbing/impaling/burning/medical/references
to double standards
200 years before the Ring: basically; Wulf [voiced by Younger: Elijah
Tamati/Order: Luca/Luke Pasqualino:] he is seeking revenge against King Helm
Hammerhand [voiced by Brian Cox] the King of Rohan for [I am not going to tell
you that; that would be giving too much of the storyline away;] but Wulf is the
leader of Dunlendings and we are going to war.
Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 134 minute film is
broadly speaking good, but to begin with it is a bit slow
Art
and action; the art/anime is really a immersive experience [ to cover my back
after this project decides to stop dragging its feet;] what with the outlay of
this project and its part of its universe; being highly engaging; once again
when things move along better. Mûmakil vs. the Watcher in the Water [Elephant
vs. Octopus:] this is truly a titanic tussle which looks fantastic, but I
should give a warning that this sequence can be deemed as graphic and much
later on we have the showdown between Wulf vs. Héra [voiced by Younger: Bea
Dooley/older: Gaia Wise:] she is a daughter/Princess to King Helm Hammerhand,
she is not your standard Princess, she can be so much more I should also point
out that these two have a history they have known each other since they were
children: but this sequence of events as very much been given the final
showdown approach and atmosphere.
Character
developments and voice performances; on both counts they are excellent as we
even have characters that either know who they are and their station in life,
that can still learn or we have other characters that are still growing into
who they are going to be, by their choices and/or actions; when a cast of voice
performances that echo their character roads in life
This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; if you are into The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings Universe and/or anime or broadly speaking art take a look at this film it will suit you down to the ground and there are some extra art in the closing credits, but it has to be said as of this content being created; there are two massively disappointing about this project; this film has only made over $11 million at the box office, when the budget was $30 million and this film was released on Friday 13/12/2024 and on top of that it has no accredited awards to its name yet be it winners or/and nominations, on these two final points, this project deserves so much more than what it is receiving at the moment, like okay let's be reasonable I would take a box office taking of $32 million after everything is said and done.
