Driving to responsibilities: briefly; we meet Ivan Locke [Tom Hardy:] he is in construction, in fact he is the leader of this multi-million construction, scheduled for this key point in its construction tomorrow, but you won't be there to deal with anything, in fact he is driving to a hospital which is roughly 90 minutes away. He is married with two sons: the youngest being  Eddie Locke [voice by Tom Holland:] he is keeping him up to date with the football match that as a family they had arranged to watch tonight, but Ivan as I have already indicated won't be there as he has something to deal with.

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing of this at most 82 minutes film is solely based in this car/on this journey, so it is one of those films where it is in a situation based projects; which basically means if you are not experienced in films; it doesn't matter about what happened for or after this time/situation we are just here and now and that is all we get; so we get Ivan on this car telephone system discussing things with other characters/performers and something else, which I will discuss in a moment in a moment, but needless to say, but I will say it anyway, it is up to Ivan/Hardy to generate the atmosphere and pace; that is for sure.

Character developments, performances, art voice performers and comedy; the character developments are all solidly good; what with Hardy putting in a masterful performance; to create this world around him, even though Ivan is struggling with a cold and seems to be slightly struggling with potentially a fever as he is talking to his father that is theoretically sitting n the back seat, but isn't there, but you also makes reference/acknowledges he isn't there now and again, but still persists with talking to this seat which is diagonally behind him so you can look in the drivers mirror, art; the audience now and again will get to experience what it is like to view things from potentially his perspective, when we see out of the windshield; this is great bits of art now and again and the voice performances are all good as well, we do have a moment of comedy when Ivan/Hardy does question if this individual has been drinking where broadly speaking and putting it nicely, he point-blank denies it with this massive rant, then Ivan says I am paraphrasing here; so you have been drinking then? Which then the individual goes yes.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; I have decided to award the film another mark based on the performance of Hardy, but having said that, the person I watch some of this content with and I both said that it if Hardy wasn't in this film we wouldn't have watched it and there is some extra scenes of traffic underneath the first closing credits. This film also has some awards accredited to its name such as 7 Winners that includes but not limited to Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards 2014 LAFCA Award Best Actor Tom Hardy and National Board of Review, USA 2014 NBR Award Top Ten Independent Films. 33 Nominees that includes but also not limited to San Diego Film Critics Society Awards 2014 SDFCS Award Best Actor Tom Hardy and from the same award ceremony/event Best Original Screenplay Steven Knight
