Recommendation of: WWE Crown Jewel 2024 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!
Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful/adult language references/biting/bleeding
Roman
Reigns & The Usos': Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso vs. The Bloodline's: Solo Sikoa,
Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and/or Jacob Fatu; Six-Man Tag Team Match: we get a reference to Umaga, this match is solidly
good, I mean it does what it is meant to do and that is progress the feud and
let's just say it is helped by the surrounding consent. This match/match slot
receives: 7/10.
Damage
CTRL's: Kairi Sane & Iyo Sky vs. Meta-Four's: Lash Legend & Jakara
Jackson vs. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven vs. Chimps Jade Cargill &
Bianca Belair; Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team
Championship: Belair rises in the corner on top
of Green this 10 punch thing, but instead of doing it on Green she does it on
both of them, so in essence this would be a tag, which the commentary team have
already put across on more than one occasion anyone can be tag in which
includes both teg partners; so it should be Green vs. Niven. Either by botches
with Sane and Sky going to perform this double team on Jackson and it not
exactly going according to plan or this match outlay being essentially tornado
tag; this match/match slot is/was messy; I mean that some point in this match
we have the commentary team discussing Green still being in this match but
unable to go for the pin or so on and so forth. I mean I generally feel sorry
for the referee Daphanie LaShaunn as a first she tries to keep a lid on this
match/match slot [ I know referees have some to do with the match outlay as in
where to be or not;] but this is not a good look for her as this match slot
this makes her look as it got out of hand. This match/match slot receives: 7/10
Seth
Rollins vs. Bronson Reed; Singles Match:
Rollins performs a suicide dive heading towards the ramp side; Rollins and Reed
seem to clash on impact; on any closer inspection Rollins' knee may end up in
Reed's face; Reed checks on his eye crease; it seems to be fine for now but at
the end of the match it seems to be bleeding. I should point out that Reed does
take another knee in the face; when Reed runs into the bottle might corner and
Rollins puts up a knee; so this could have made the bleeding more definite at
the end, then again some point later on top of this turnbuckle in the same
corner as I mentioned earlier Rollins head butts this side of Reed's face
including fingers in this area as well, so just to cover my back for the future,
what I am saying is any of these situations or any other situations could and
most probably did contribute to the bleeding at the end of this match/match
slot. Graves points out on commentary Read's face may have caught the steps,
Michael Cole will say on commentary that Reed has a cut above his eye; this
match/match slot is a hard-hitting solidly good match slot. This match/match
slot receives: 7/10
Raw
brand; the WWE World Women's Champion The Judgement Day's: Liv Morgan vs.
SmackDown brand; WWE Women's Champion Queen Nia Jax; Singles Match for the
inaugural WWE Women's Crown Jewel Championship: you know those and just like that this championship
means absolutely nothing, what with the surrounding components, I mean I wasn't
exactly for this championship in the first place obviously including the male
version as well, but considering this is how you want to treat it on its
inception that is everything I need to know about it really and consequently in
a rare situation I will be taking marks off for how appalling this inaugural
match/champion has been represented from its inception, including the
presentation by Triple H and/or the fireworks display; this is just beyond
garbage really and just to finish off my point; to make sure I come across as
reasonable; they could have pulled this garbage at any other time, but just not
now in the inaugural match, it is vital to represent this
championship/including the male version as prestigious championships regardless
of my opinion about them. This match/match slot receives: 3/10.
Kevin
Owens vs. Randy Orton; Singles Match:
this progresses the feud and that is all I can say about it really. This
match/match slot receives: 2/10.
Carmelo
Hayes vs. the WWE Speed Champion Andrada vs. Champ LA Knight; Triple Threat
Match for the WWE United States Championship: Cole calls Graves Cody and then Cory, then Cole calls
Hayes' move a flying forearm, then a flying clothesline, but either way he was
wrong it is a flying shoulder block, this is a solidly good match slot. This
match/match slot receives: 6/10.
Raw
brand; the World Heavyweight Champion King Walter vs. SmackDown brand; the
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes; Singles Match for the inaugural WWE Crown
Jewel Championship: Walter mocks a
Mexican wave going around the crowd, as you would expect this match is good.
This match/match slot receives: 7/10.
The
average mark of this pay-per-view is:
7/10, I said to myself if I gave this mark, well I didn't have a choice it is
the average, I would give a lot of my opinion/outlook. I would have really
liked to give this event a slightly lesser mark, based on the fact there is at
least three matches where there is even a massive dip or a slight dip in these
match slots. I really truly don't like anything to do with these controversial
championships and yes based on my opinion and outlook that is what they are;
based on everyone is basically patting themselves on the back for so far
roughly speaking a five-year partnership at this point, even though like it or
women are not seen as people and not forgetting the little, just little fact of
the death/I have to use this phrase alleged assassination of Jamal Khashoggi in
2018 by the Saudi Arabian Royal Family. So if you can tell I am very much just
doing what needs to be done here, I find it to be all kinds of wrong here on
all counts.
