Recommendation of: WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!
Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful/adult language references/blood
Kevin Owens vs. Champ Cody Rhodes; Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Michael Cole calls out a splash, but it is a frog splash and then we have Wade Barrett indicating that Kevin Owens has won countless matches with that move, now it is possible I could have missed something considering I don't watch WWE TV programming but I think this may be false. There seems to be a little bit of friction between Owens and Barrett on commentary, but this match/match slot is what you expect it to be as in a hard-hitting contest, but the only thing I didn't like was the over usage of finishers, I come from the school of thought that finishes as in movies should be protected and not overused, because if they are overused they lose their hard-hitting, game over kind of effect and I don't mind kick outs, but as you will see they go to the well a bit much for me. This match/match slot receives: 9/10.
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Champs The Unholy Union's: Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn; Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: this match slot just keeps the lively and enthusiastic nature of this event going with excellent wrestling throughout. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre; Strap Match: Umaga gets referenced on commentary, how did the commentary table not break? I mean at some point it does get referenced on commentary about this table still not breaking through tonight's event? Cole saying is simply well done Wade Barrett something about the monitor not working, because he had called at the plug and Barrett blaming it on someone else. But yet again I find myself repeating myself; as it relates to finishing moves should be protected; basically insert what I said earlier about finishing moves here as well and yes this match/match slot will receive a slightly lower mark based on the facts it has the same problem and we have now seen it twice on this card. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
The Terror Twin's: Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. The Judgment Day's: Dominik Mysterio & the WWE World Women's Champion Liv Morgan; Mixed Tag Team Match: Cole tries to hold an interview with Mysterio and Morgan as their opponents are doing their entrances with no comeback. Morgan, we have the commentary team having a go at the referee: Dan Engler and Eddie Guerrero gets referenced on commentary. Morgan performs a unique pinning combination on Ripley, but sometime later goes diving through the ring ropes which almost misses Ripley as it gets referenced on commentary as well, okay how is the commentary table still standing from all the knocks be them small or more. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
Randy Orton vs. Champ Imperium's: King Walter; Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship; If Orton wins the championship, he will be transferred to Raw and Gunther will be transferred to SmackDown: we have crowd being incredibly loud and including we have a Mexican wave happening as well, with even it getting mentioned on commentary including Orton showing appreciation, then a little later Orton takes another look around to give of the impression that this is nuts, then little time later he notices a Mexican wave, says something to Walter; Orton gets a little smile off Walter and then Orton participates in the Mexican wave, shows appreciation to the crowd again and then gets down to business. Okay how is the commentary table still standing? I wasn't best pleased to see Orton performing a superplex from the far left top turnbuckle as if you have been around wrestling long enough you would know his long-term history with his shoulders, neck and back in fact commentary have/will bring this up consistently after this and then Barrett gets corrected by Cole for Orton's weight with Barrett saying my bad. The crowd use the name Walter and as usual this is Walter's high standards. This match/match slot receives: 10/10.
The average mark of this pay-per-view is: 9/10, as you can clearly see there is a lot of excellent wrestling on this card what with Cole and Barrett also making an excellent pairing; in short can we have these two instead of any combination involving Corey Grace or/and Pat McAfee; they are just very annoying; but to leave this content on a positive; this event is well worth a watch.
