Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/drugs/stabbing/shooting/electrocution/torture/burning/medical/references to racism, homosexuality and miscarriage

This is a straightforward, but very weird: briefly; Roland Dalton [Peter Weller:] he is a public defender/legal aid attorney; you get given this case involving Michael Jones [Richard Brooks:] a street dealer of drug that kills a cop, but in this situation he does it in self-defence. Attorney Dalton will get some assistance from this veteran cop Richie Marks [Sam Elliott:] a cop that in one way or another finds himself in some kind of carnage at one point or another.

Generally speaking: well I don't know where to start with this project really it goes on for 97 minutes; which I have to be honest it is somewhat tedious; Based on what the hell is going on with this script? On one hand we have this straightforward case/action film going on, whilst on the other hand mashed into that we have Attorney Dalton cheating on his fiancée with his ex-girlfriend; so even though I have said it is mashed in; it has it almost has its own separate entity and feel to it; it as I have already said is very weird.

Action; the action itself does so much of the heavy lifting of this project; roughly Marks is coming down the side of the building for only the part that he is climbing down to then break so he can swing across to join Attorney Dallas on this vehicle to have this vehicle chasing sequence; you know guns, exploding and chasing sequences.

Character developments and performances; on both counts they are reliable versions of what they are meant to be, if that is what they wanted they hit the jackpot, Attorney is by a large and unlikeable character in his personal life and usually I would be more positive about this; but for one major no-no and I am not seeing this or saying it as comedy. But it does come over as comedy which even by my standards is a no, without giving too much away there is this miscarriage of a baby and the fact that this individual is casually talking about it as nothing to worry about and just move on with their day whilst another character has a sense of relief; I know I keep saying it but it is weird and more to the point it is in bad taste.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; if I had to sell this film to you as in to watch; if there are any fans of [there I was going to say Alex Murphy a.k.a. Robocop,] but if there were any fans of individually or together of Peter Weller, Sam Elliott and/or Richard Brooks take a look at this film, but I really wouldn't expect too much.
