Wow
this sequel just wow it for the vast majority is hard viewing: briefly; MI7 need someone to take down Vortex, they
need Agent Johnny English [Rowan Atkinson:] he is currently in a Tibet
Monastery finding inner peace after his last mission went south in Mozambique,
but don't worry he is still clumsy, but as you will read through this content
even more so than before. When he get back to MI7 he will meet Katherine
"Kate" Sumner [Rosamund Pike:] she is the behavioural psychologist at
MI7 [on a closer inspection; looking out a web page; it says that she is a
variant of Miranda Frost in the James Bond film Die Another Day 2002; you will
understand very shortly why I have decided to put this piece in.]
Generally
speaking: well generally speaking the
framework pacing of this 101 minutes film is really not any problem on the
scale of things wrong with this film; it is just straightforward and gets on
with it. This sequel is really hard work from the script to the art, comedy and
action; you see its predecessor leaned into the idea of being a parody of James
Bond 007, but it has clearly more than enough to stand on its own two feet, so
much so I didn't think it was a parody you know there are bits and pieces but
as I have already indicated it had enough to stand on its own two feet; similar
to Spaceballs 1987 and the original trilogy of Star Wars between 1977-1983
where some Star Wars fans myself included would give Spaceballs honourable
status; because it is done to a very high quality and legendary status. But where
the predecessor to this sequel stands on its own; this sequel hits the parody
button very hard, to the point where it is a mixture of a dimwit version of
James Bond and the mentality of Inspector Gadget. I mean we get a James Bond
style opening to this sequel just for starters and as a positive bit of art; we
have another parachute sequence. I mean I did laugh eventually; but it needs to
be stated that it is more the case of this is just bad [basically it is a case
of take your pick really there is just so much of it; it is just so much easier
if I just point out the positives.] Like there is this really well thought out
chasing martial arts sequence of events; it really could have done without the
comedy as in Agent English is older so he can overcome these obstacles with
wisdom, it really does cheapen the whole sequence of events including the
mentality of basically Inspector Gadget.
Much later when it slows down on dimwit we have Agent
English in this let's just say well-equipped wheelchair with many buttons as he
is trying to avoid capture; now this kind of things they should have been
focusing on [and no I'm not saying that because I am in a wheelchair.] I'm
really indicating that they should have been focusing on well thought out
high-quality comedy and action instead of let's put this nicely the low hanging
fruit and without giving too much away at some point in this sequel watch out
for the golf bag; this is also highly creative and comical
Character developments and performances; in a general
sense when they are being sensible characters they are perfectly several as a
character types and I have just realised; the same can be said for the
performances.
This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I mean after everything is said and done it has enough about it to get given this mark, but as I have made it crystal clear it really does get hard on what a parody is. There is an ending extra bit like a targeting system, white dash thing down the left-hand side of the screen and a little time later and extra sequence on the right-hand side of the screen This sequel also has some awards accredited to its name and believe it or not which isn't too difficult but it actually has some negative awards accredited to it. 4 Nominees Evening Standard British Film Awards 2012 Evening Standard British Film Award Blockbuster of the Year and Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards 2011 PFCS Award Best Original Song For the song, "I Believe in You. " Now negatively speaking; Irina Palm d'Or 2011 Irina Palm d'Or Worst British Film and from the same award ceremony/event Worst British Actor Rowan Atkinson
