Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/environment/shooting/animal cruelty/vehicle crash/burning/cutting/suicide/stabbing/medical.

We need a hero: briefly; Kit Laturas [Sylvester Stallone:] he is currently a driver of some description, but at one time he was a EMS [Emergency Medical Services] Chief for New York City, but something went wrong, consequently he got disgraced. But for here and now; he needs to go down into this tunnel and rescue these people before it is too late.

Generally speaking: I have to be honest everything about this film is straightforward; be it from the script, the framework and pacing of this 114 minutes film to the character developments and performances.

Art and action; we get to see a excellent 3-D model of this location in miniature form and for the action and likewise the visual aspect of that action; we have overcoming obstacles/problem solving that kind of action; such as when our lead role  Laturas has got to go through these giant fans as they slowly reboot one by one or/and later on he creates this big explosion with a gun detonator.

Character developments and performances; the character developments; well they are the standard character types of those character types and their performances reflect those character types; let's just say it if someone was to get at minimum a negative award I can see and understand why.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I mean I have seen this film a few times by now and if you haven't seen it all/and you are a fan of Stallone; take a look at this film, it is harmless, but now I have been pleasant I can now say this as well; after you have seen this film you will have possibly an understanding why I have given it this mark. This film also has some awards accredited to its name and surprise surprise they are not all positive ones either. 1 Winner Motion Picture Sound Editors, USA 1997 Golden Reel Award Motion Picture Feature Films: Sound Editing Jeffrey Kaplan (sound effects editor).
