Warning: there are flashing effects/colourful effects/bodily functions/drugs/burning

This is how it starts; all she needed was a pee: basically; we have these two individuals Bea [Sydney Sweeney:] a law student which she doesn't really want to do any more and then we have Ben [Glen Powell:] he is a computer guy for this company, well that is the best I can work out anyway, but I digress; after spending the afternoon walking, talking and drinking hot drinks everything seems to be going well and then there is a lot of crossed wires now and again.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing actually everything is very much sit down relatively early, so everything is straightforward for this 103 minutes film, it should be pointed out I am not being disrespectful, but then again and Apple is an Apple and there is nothing you can do about that and the same can be said for this film; but the storyline itself is solidly good.

The art; the landscapes of this film are smooth such as for an example later on we get to see this grass size chessboard with pieces being used or for another example we get to see the Sydney Opera House in some scenes. Moving on to the comedy which obviously has a mature theme, so we have these two individuals trying to pull off an infamous scene from Titanic 1997 where Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson are doing that whole romantic I am flying scene, but after everything is said and done this interpretation has a different outcome where we have a little bit of action with Harbour Rescue [a chopper] with a singalong [this is not the only time there will be in singalong; I will this up again later.]

Character developments and performances; they are vibrant versions of their character types and the performances from everyone in this cast; it has to be said that there is good chemistry/camaraderie between this cast; in particular its lead partnership of Sweeney and Powell as both of their characters Bea and Ben; they don't get it quite right, but eventually I am sure they will get there.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; it is one of those films that you could have a date night in the cinema or later on at home with a takeaway and have a pleasant evening to. There is also an ending musical singalong to Natasha Bedingfield "Unwritten" 2004 and then an extra scene in the film and then back to the singalong. This film also has some awards accredited to its name; 4 Nominees; GLAAD Media Awards 2024 GLAAD Media Awards Outstanding Film - Wide Release. People's Choice Awards, USA 2024 People's Choice Award The Comedy Movie of the Year, The Comedy Movie Star of the Year Glen Powell and The Comedy Movie Star of the Year Sydney Sweeney
