Ring-Ring... Ring-Ring, hello there, it is the 2000's calling, can we please have our superhero outlay back please and thank you: basically; the Scarab/Khaji Da [voice by Becky G:] a Scarab named Khaji Da "Khaji"  that is a alien which is highly advanced and has many destructive or constructive capabilities at its disposal, that is looking for the right human to bond with/be symbiotic with will find the right person in Jaime Reyes [Xolo MaridueƱa:] he is a good person that comes from a incredibly poor family, but they are incredibly proud of him as he is the first to graduate from college. But their lives get to completely turned upside down when Jaime unknown to him gets given Khaji by Jenny Kord [Younger: Isabella Aparicio/Older: Bruna Marquezine:] a young woman trying to do the right thing for her father's Ted Kord; company Kord Technologies, which after her father's disappearance is being rammed by his sister Victoria Kord [Susan Sarandon:] she is a slightly unhinged business woman that wants the Scarab back as she has big plans for the power, but as you can probably tell she doesn't exactly get along with her niece and the feeling is mutual.

Generally speaking: framework and pacing of this 127 minutes film is straightforward as has it sticks to the plan. But I can't stress this enough; this film is so out of date it is not funny. Does anyone remember how Marvel Studios [MCU] used to follow a simple yet very effective outlay of an origin story in the early 2000's which was absolutely fine and good fun and highly entertaining on an average back then, but the clear problem is it isn't for an example it isn't 2008 [Iron Man] anymore and on top of that this film may use that outlay and everything that comes with that, but it is not exactly the highest quality of this outlay anyway and yes I am fully aware of the fact that this is not an Marvel Studios project, instead it is a DC knockoff version or whatever they want to call their studio nowadays.

So with all this being stated from the beginning; we have safe and reliable; reliably good action sequences, mixed in with comedy and discovery of one another as it relates to the partnership of Jaimes/Blue Beetle and Khaji with their symbiotic character intertwining process. The only art I can say is either worth pointing out and/or outstanding would be this brief outer space as sequence for our lead partnership and this is truly outstanding the outer body sequence for this partnership. It will stick out like a sore thumb, simply based on the fact this is the only sequence of events that truly feels and looks like of modern filmmaking of 2023, I am not going to take anything away from this sequence of events, but it has to be said that it shows that they could have done more with this project, likewise yes the character developments and the performances are on both counts reliably good also. But the only voice performance/performance that actually stood out for me was Scarab/Khaji Da [voice by Becky G] and  Nana Reyes [Adriana Barraza:] she is an elderly as the name would suggest Nana to the Reyes family, I can't say too much more, but when she was much younger she seems to have had a life fighting for what was necessary as she seems to handle this chaotic rescue sequence and weapon with great ease and comfort, she very much becomes the rock and little warrior of Reyes family with some good naturally fluent comedy thrown in, once again these two characters/voice performance or/and performance feels and looks like something from 2023.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; as an individual film, it does everything right to be given this mark, having said all of this as a superhero film, it does the bare essentials and finally this film has two extra scenes, one at the end of each ending credits block.

Chris Benoit film absolutely not, Nancy film palatable, respectful and/or justifiable 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Chris Benoit film absolutely not, Nancy film palatable, respectful and/or justifiable 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Importance Disclaimer: this is just my opinion and I am in no way shape or form defending Chris Benoit and there is going to be softer adult language adapted references and if you are easily triggered, maybe this isn't the content for you.

Should this film even be in discussion to come out?: No not as it is and no I haven't even seen the script, I am saying no based on the grounds having Chris Benoit or a performer portraying him as the focus point no. The only way I would feel palatable about this situation is if it was focused on Nancy Toffoloni/Nancy Daus/Nancy Sullivan [yes Kevin Sullivan's ex-wife]/Nancy Benoit and call the film "Nancy" for an obvious reason. I mean cover her life with some controversial characters the likes of oh I don't know; Ric Flair [I should make this crystal clear this was a working relationship within The Four Horsemen and Chris Benoit and others

I don't know every single thing about her, but what I do know is this; is that she did so much in her own right for wrestling, that because of her entanglement with Chris she will never be in the WWE Hall of Fame, for example I know Chris Jericho has openly said I am paraphrasing here; that she should be in the Hall of Fame, because she did so much backstage for WCW and on-screen work as well. That is as things stand even though it has recently come to my attention that Paul Levesque/Triple H is now in control of who goes into the Hall of Fame, I still can't see it happening well at minimum at the point of this content being first created. I would really like her to be inducted because of she deserves it and secondly it would give the final middle finger to Chris Benoit, which should never and I mean never ever be even considered for the WWE Hall of Fame.

Now this is where unfortunately things are going to get real just to give you a heads up; this is just an excerpt from an interview between Chris Van Vliet David  Benoit [full disclosure; I saw  Chris Benoit's name doing the rounds on a social media platform today Friday 29/12/2023 as it was making reference to this project being made "Crossface" and obviously things surrounding it, so me having common sense had the idea that there was a development; but after doing some content/researching this content I now find out that this interview happened in at the beginning of 2020.]

So I was oh shish kebab, secondly I was like okay if we cover this topic hopefully we don't have to cover it again or at minimum it is something I can make reference to later on if need be but I digress this is what David Benoit had to say "There was a director, everything bro. We had to step in because they wanted to do the tragedy about how it all went down. So we said no," David explains, adding that the Benoit family even hired a lawyer to assist in getting the project shut down. He added: "They needed our permission. She sent us the script and then the end was the whole murder/suicide was gonna be all in it.

Now from my opinion; this sounds/smells like a massive cover-up and on a certain level in miscarriage of justice [this is where I would strongly recommend those that are easily offended to not be stupid; I am not calling  for it, because I am hungry to witness something tragic.] But I am looking on the other side of the coin; clearly saying that Nancy never got any form of justice as in why not show Chris as he truly was the for the end of his life, I don't care if he had some form of head trauma [CTE: Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy] or whatever, he should have done whatever it takes to protect his family for as long as possible and not it what he did to Nancy and Daniel; because they had no choice. I mean if you go looking for a Paul Heyman clip on this subject if he will tell you a similar sentiment to my own, but they should give you a warning a man does use adult language and rightly so.

I should make this known; David is not the son of Nancy his mother's name is Martina Benoit, just in case you were wondering if David was trying to protect Nancy; I'm just saying. But I am going to try and leave this content on a up note; it would be nice to see Nancy in the WWE Hall of Fame one day and some level of justice or/and comfort given to the family of Nancy and Daniel in some way.

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Worlds End 2023 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Worlds End 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: I began working on this content on Tuesday 26/12/2023 and hopefully this pay-per-view will provide a massive reset/or progression that this promotion needs right now. Even though full disclosure I haven't watched most recent content that this promotion has been putting out, but I know what is roughly happening thanks to the Internet, the reason why I haven't watched the most recent content put out from this promotion is just down to creating content and time.

Zero Hour: 20-Man Battle Royale for a future AEW TNT Championship Match: Scorpio Sky. I should just point out that back when I am putting this content together the participants have not been announced yet, so I could be completely and utterly wrong here, but I have to try and finish off this content and simply put; do something with him.

Zero Hour: The Blackpool Combat Club's the ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta vs. Champ Hook; FTW Rules Match for the FTW Championship: my pick is Wheeler Yuta. I would like to see some sort of feud over this championship, which involves eventually Hook having to join The BCC, so when Bryan Danielson retires they still have four members full-time.

Abadon vs. Champ The House of Black's Julia Hart [with Skye Blue;] Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: my pick is Julia Hart. Hopefully this match slot will be given some time to have a good match and progressing nicely

Riho vs. Champ Toni Storm [with Luther;] Singles Match for the AEW Women's World Championship: my pick is Toni Storm. This is completely speculation; but it does feel like match outlay/match slot is going to be a set up for either a debut or a returning wrestler a saving Riho angle, if I had to guess and you wanted me to slim down, I would happily guess Dr. Britt Baker, DMD to set up a match at AEW Revolution 2024 for this championship.

Adam Copeland vs. Champ Christian Cage; No Disqualification Match for the AEW TNT Championship: my pick is Adam Copeland. For those younger wrestling fans out there, the no disqualification stipulation tells us so much about this match outlay already. Like regardless of the outcome it protects the loser from the result as in; they could come out and say either Copeland "I want you Christian one-on-one in a steel cage for that championship you have on your shoulder." Consequently he would have a case, conversely Cage could say "Copeland you had helped to defeat me I want my championship back." Likewise he would have a case so expect Sting, Darby Allin, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne to all get involved in some point. But for now let's just give it to Copeland to try and rebuild the prestige of this championship somehow, because we have known for a very long time now this championship is far from its glory days when you had Mr. Brodie Lee carrying it.

Miro vs. Andrade El Idolo [with CJ Perry;] Singles Match: my pick is Andrade El Idolo. My thinking is Perry will be the defining factor, but I'm also thinking that it is also too early to put this husband-and-wife duo of Miro and Perry back together again, so we are just at the stage of if Miro had Perry in his corner again but in this promotion she could give him gold.

The Moghul Embassy's Swerve Strickland [with Prince Nana] vs. Keith Lee; Singles Match: my pick is Swerve Strickland. I fully expect this match outlay to be used here where the other members of this faction come out to protect Lee from the loss here as Strickland is very much heading towards the main event status within this promotion and has been for some time now.

The Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley vs. the ROH World Champion/NJPW Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston; Championship Final of the AEW Continental Classic for the inaugural Triple Crown Championship [the ROH World Championship, the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship and the inaugural AEW Continental Championship:] my pick is Eddie Kingston. I know they will probably like 80% probability go with Moxley here, but for me even at the age of 42 this could be Kingston's breakthrough and should be, I am not saying Moxley doesn't deserve it as well, but as I have only said this could be Kingston's breakthrough and for someone that has been a up and down and around the world it is about time he had a little bit of luck and given this prestigious honour.

The AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks & Big Bill, The Don Callis Family: Kyle Fletcher & Powerhouse Hobbs [with Don Callis] vs. Le Sex Gods: Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara, Sting & Darby Allin; Eight-Man Tag Team Match: my pick is Ricky Starks & Big Bill, The Don Callis Family: Kyle Fletcher & Powerhouse Hobbs [with Don Callis.] In short I fully expect Guevara to turn on Jericho again and his teammates in the closing stages of this match/match slot and rejoin  The Don Callis Family here. This will help them get over the unfortunate injury of Kenny Omega and before anyone starts throwing shade at AEW, may I just point out that the WWE has done this kind of turns with someone in particular the Big Show/yes AEW's Paul Wright so let's not start throwing shade here shall we.

Samoa Joe vs. Champ MJF; Singles Match for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship: my pick is Samoa Joe [to pick up the win but not the championship.] Obviously I am expecting The Devil and his disciples to make an impact, but do this whole screwing over Joe thing to make sure that whomever is under the mask is the one to view thrown MJF, but consequently biting off more than they can chew as Joe is now out for revenge.

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/terrorism/shooting/torture/drugs/burning/medical

Haven't we been here before?: We meet Cris Johnson/Frank Cadillac [Nicholas Cage:] this individual has a very unique gift/ability; he can see two minutes into the future including rewinding it to make a different choice which will change the future of his life, but he can only do it as it relates to his life and just for the record Frank Cadillac is his Magician name/stage name with his own show; The Frank Cadillac Show. He is sitting at this diner like he does every day at this very specific time hopefully ready to bump into Elizabeth Cooper [Jessica Biel:] a charity schoolteacher, meanwhile NSA Agent Callie Ferris [Julianne Moore:] is desperately wanting to speak to Johnson about his gift/ability to hopefully stop this terrorist attack before it is too late, but Johnson doesn't like people like her because of his previous experiences with people that want to use his gift/ability.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 96 minutes film is straightforward as it knows what it wants to do and just gets on with the task at hand.

Comedy/Action/Art; the only action sequences Johnson uses his gift/ability; to rewind his approach to Cooper; as he tries quite a few times to a positive outcome, on top of that; I can say that stand out; is where Johnson uses his gift/ability to either search this location or/and when he dodges these bullets in the closing quarter of the film likewise I can say that from an artistic perspective these two sequences are individually or together the most easy on the eyes

Character developments and performances; they are good versions and solidly good character types, versions and performances of what they are meant to be.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; I mean it is one of those films that you could watch once or if you have seen it before once every long-term gap like seven years or something and you could get a takeaway out and be entertained without thinking too much. This film does have some awards to its name and no they are not all good ones either. Reactionary To The Wrestling News of: Shawn Spears leaving AEW 28/12/2023 by AverageMansReviews

Reactionary To The Wrestling News of: Shawn Spears leaving AEW 28/12/2023 by AverageMansReviews

Speculation warning: there will be speculation at one point or another in this content.

Shawn Spears' announcement: "What a wonderful time it has been.

Thank you

@AEW

for allowing me to be there from the ground level. It’s been a fantastic 5 years of growth and personal development.

This is a personal choice and one that is best for me and my family at this time.

Thank you to all, staff and talent alike for the memories

#10"

But this was not the only announcement roughly 3 days ago it was announced that Spears and his wife Cassie Lee a.k.a. WWE's Peyton Royce are expecting their second child

My reaction is: firstly and this is completely based on speculation on my part; it is understandable based on his wife being pregnant, I would like to wish them the best for all of that and the future.

Secondly; back to wrestling; I do think they did dropped the ball with him in AEW especially what with Spears being associated with Tully Blanchett or/and a member of The Pinnacle but then again even though I like AEW they do have a habit of dropping the ball with so many of their talents. I mean obviously I mean this respectfully am not saying Spears should have been in the main event picture, but at the very least either/or both a AEW TNT Champion or/and a AEW World Tag Team Championship holder with Wardlow. Spears has proven himself to be a solid workhorse so he should have been given the opportunity to hold the championship to see what he could do.

Since this news has broken I have already started to see the speculation wheel start turning basically that he will probably go back to the WWE and give it time he probably will, as he is good friends with Cody Rhodes, or who knows he may want a new challenge at TNA. But wherever he calls home next it is clear they will be getting a Mr. Reliable, this would be the second workhorse/reliable wrestler that AEW for whatever reason has parted ways with, yes this didn't escape my notice; the first was QT Marshall, if I had to speculate who is going to be the next one to go for me my money is on Scorpio Sky.

But back to Spears; thanks for doing your part to make AEW thrive and apologies for not given any form of a championship.

Bill Goldberg says the WWE owes him a retirement match/broken promise by Mr. McMahon by AverageMansReviews

Bill Goldberg says the WWE owes him a retirement match/broken promise by Mr. McMahon by AverageMansReviews

Disclaimer: I have never been or likely to be a professional wrestler and I will be censoring a quote.

Bill Goldberg retirement match promised by Mr. McMahon: Bill Goldberg has been doing around on a social media platform today [yesterday] saying that he was promised a retirement match by Mr. McMahon calling him a piece of manure.

Here are my thoughts on this situation: frankly I don't care what he feels he owed and just for the record this has nothing to do with tribalism if he goes to AEW I will still have the same opinion. The fact is and you can regard this as a hard shoot/pipe bomb; he is a liability in the ring and for everyone's safety you shouldn't be in one. For some reason he still thinks he can be Goldberg the smash mouth gimmick and he just can't. Every time I have seen him in the ring over recent times at no stage does it look remotely comfortable for anyone if it goes more than 5 minutes if that. I mean if you have been around wrestling long enough you would have seen some terrible wrestling in your time, but [if you have seen it you know where and what I am about to reference,] having seen Goldberg vs. The Undertaker; Wasted: The Undertaker vs. Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown 2019 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2019/06/wasted-undertaker-vs-goldberg-at-wwe.html you know that this is quite possibly or it is the worst match I have ever seen, it is difficult to watch because basically without going on and on about kayfabe melted away that night as you had two legendary wrestlers in their 50's and everything that could go wrong went wrong. The point that I am making here is; this was in 2019 I know he has wrestle more since then like his last match for the WWE was WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 where he lost a WWE Universal Championship match to Roman Reigns lasting no more than 6 minutes, I would regard this as an excellent way to go out, he went out in a championship match and laid down as it is done in wrestling, I honestly don't see the problem. As of this content Goldberg is 57 years old, so at his age and wrestling style I don't know what he is expecting to do? I mean let's be completely honest here his capabilities have been suspect for some time what with unable to look competent in the ring and/or confident in the ring including relatively short matches and not forgetting the possibility he may give himself a concussion thanks to his ritual [for the younger generations all I can say is this is genuinely real and I can't make this garbage up.] Goldberg has to head-butt something hard like a locker or a brick wall to apparently get the adrenaline flowing to come out to the ring, but unfortunately over more recent times this ritual has became a problem for the obvious risk to himself.

I should imagine some of you are going to take the low road and ask about Sting? Yes as of this content he is 64 years old, but he looks and gives off the willingness like he can still go in the ring even though I am aware he has had a few minor glitches, I mean I'm not trying to sugarcoated, but compared to Goldberg he is wrestling like someone in their very late 40's. Don't get me wrong and this is purely speculation; I am sure Sting feels it the next morning, I'm sure he could go for maybe another two years[ With not forget Sting retired the first time/had a long-term absence from the ring due to injury from 2016-2020, I'm not saying this was a good thing for those sensitive people out there but all I am saying is swings and roundabouts and it gave him roughly 4 years away from the ring to heal up and it wasn't the right way for him to retire from in ring competition,] but he is bowing out at the right time AEW Revolution 03/03/2024 and let's not forget Sting is in wrestling shade and mind, yes this is an actual thing for those that don't know, you can be as fit as you want to be, but it is completely different when you are wrestling either a one-off match or consistently basically it is called ring rust as well and at Goldberg's age regardless of physical capability or not at best he can only go for 9 minutes if that I know I am being incredibly kind with that figure.

In conclusion the wrestling business owes Goldberg absolutely nothing and like I have already said on a social media platform basically; Goldberg may as well join the queue of broken promises that the WWE has made but not kept and to make this crystal clear no I don't want him anywhere near AEW.

Eric Bischoff criticises AEW again for being like TNA; even though he booked WCW and TNA back in the days by AverageMansReviews

Eric Bischoff criticises AEW again for being like TNA; even though he booked WCW and TNA back in the days by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: I really wasn't going to do this today [yesterday] because I have so much other content to do. But I have massive problems with Eric Bischoff, yes I have seen a video clip of what he has meant to have said where basically he compares AEW to TNA back in the day and not this new generation incoming beginning next year and full disclosure on these two things; he does give Tony Kahn some praise for running his product in front of a live audience and yes I haven't seen but I know what up-to-date things as it relates to AEW. I haven't abandoned them, but as you have already may have guessed I am always trying to create new content, so it doesn't leave much time for TV of any description and finally but most importantly I ignore it that AEW have their problems, I am not trying to put up a smokescreen about the problems, in fact the older wrestling fans would understand completely where I am coming from as we progress through this content and yes there will probably be actually there will be some adapted softer adult language references.

The focus point of this content is simple: is Eric Bischoff; anyone can have their own opinion on wrestling, but not these individuals; Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Ryback, Dixie Carter, I don't know too much about Billy Corgan, but if I was to look more into him of what I have seen/heard it wouldn't take me too much to find a reason why he shouldn't be on this list as well, Mr. McMahon and obviously Jim Cornett. As they all very toxic individuals or allowed others to take over.

I mean it is very rich for Bischoff to criticise AEW; when he and Hogan destroyed WCW with getting in old WWF guys which were either definitely veterans slowly creeping towards old and creating this whole top guy earns top money ethos and if you didn't do earn top money you were not considered a top guy. But at least when AEW have brought in ex-WWE guys that they aren't necessarily old, obviously there is a few in the mix like Dusty Rhodes, but for those people that watch AEW would know he doesn't wrestle that much anymore and Sting is going to retire from in ring competition in 2024 AEW Revolution 03/03/2024, even though I would like to think they would keep him on as now and again an on-screen character. I am not behind the closed doors of this promotion, but it looks like that they are trying to use the old veterans to rub onto the young talent. Yes if the truth was known I don't like some of these ex-WWE guys that are difficult to work with that are in AEW that refused to lose to potentially a lesser talent, even though I may like some of these guys from WWE, they need to either change their minds it all be gone, I don't care they can go back to the WWE or anywhere for that matter, that is the wrong mindset to have, I need to quickly point out that this is not aimed at everyone.

But if that wasn't enough Bischoff and Hogan had a second bite of the cherry with TNA 2010-2014, where they once again almost destroyed another promotion and this time yes of what I can remember their roster quickly became very large and bloated with old guys, we aren't talking about veterans that could still go, we are generally talking about old guys and even TNA would say it has taken us all this time to recover from that and other bumps in the road to get to 2024 to get to the point where we could have a new generation/new era.

For those people that are thinking "Eric Bischoff is just telling you the truth and you don't like it." Well as I have already seen online generally speaking people have picked up on the irony or/and hypocrisy that Bischoff had a large hand in the downfall of WCW and almost TNA as in he is the common the nominator and for him to criticise AEW is just bull shish kebab. Or better yet Bischoff if you think you can run a wrestling promotion better how about you find someone to back you financially [I am sure Mr McMahon would love to take you up on that opportunity as you are two relics that cannot see yes on one hand you were both wisemen including Heyman that gave us the golden times of wrestling, but also on the other hand can't acknowledge that times change, you either change with the times or become time yourselves] to start up your own promotion and see how far you get, instead of sitting on social media, just trying to remain relevant in wrestling, so let me clarify one more time it isn't the fact that he is sharing his opinion that it has irritated me, it is the fact that he has the history he does and then has the balls to criticise another promotion even though on the scoresheet it says 1.25 Bischoff and Khan 0 of wrestling promotions that he has had a hand in putting out of business or/and almost out of business.

I mean for me Bischoff and this final comparison between both companies that he was involved in at the time are the final straws that broke the camel's back, don't get me wrong as I have previously said in this content I respect that back in the day he was one of the wisemen of wrestling, but that is about it.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023 by AverageMansReviews

 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/transformation

With great power comes great responsibility, regardless how it came to you: basically; in Earth-65 Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman [voiced by Hailee Steinfeld:] is also a drummer in a band or she was until she decided to quit as she has a lot on her mind including but not limited to Earth-1610 Miles Morales/Spider-Man [voiced by Shameik Moore:] still a relatively new superhero, that has greatly improved since we have last seen him. But when things go side woods for Earth-65 Stacy/Spider-Woman in her own Earth-65, she gets given this opportunity by these two individuals; the first is Jess Drew/Spider-Woman [voiced by Issa Rae:] she is pregnant from Earth-404 and right-hand person to our second individual Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 [voiced by Oscar Isaac:] he is a Ninja vampire from Earth-928 and guessing but a safe guess as he comes from the year 2099 that is where his full alias comes from. They offer to take her in to the Spider-Verse, it should be noted O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 was not keen on this idea, but Earth-65 Stacy/Spider-Woman went with them.

Generally speaking: the framework, pacing, Character developments and voice performances: this 140 minute film, well because of the artistic outlays which there are many from the very outset and it during some of the closing credits [I think the first lot.] Before I continue full disclosure I had to go and research some of what I needed for the next bit. So for the art to begin with we are in Earth-65 Stacy/Spider-Woman in her own Earth-65. On reflection this style of water painting and pastel colours are my favourite, because not only is it easy to settle down with straight away, it is highly engaging instantaneously as well and quite clearly you can do so much with it is to put different emotions into this style and don't worry we still have elements of the comic book approach. Newcomer Earth-1610 Dr. Johnathon Ohnn/The Spot [voiced by Jason Schwartzman:] I don't want to tell you too much about this character, simply based on the facts it gets covered in this sequence in which I am about to discuss in a different way, it also mimics his personality, approach to life and his colour system predominantly, him being a scientific Doctor it comes to us from the perspective of storyteller of a clinical black-and-white approach with a drop of another colour at some point [or just to cover my back I am going to say points.]

For the rest of the newcomers and returning characters/voice performances they just either slot or/and gel together. For the returning cast characters and/or voice members there has been more layers added to their growing and evolving characters/voice performances, so everything is heading in the right direction as it should be. I don't say as it should be with arrogance, I mean it respectfully with the already high standards which this franchise has set itself, so if they can do the complicated artistic visions or/anything visual with ease, they should be able to the easy part of evolving their characters.

Action/Comedy: we have Earth-1610 Morales/Spider-Man doing combat with  Earth-1610 Dr. Johnathon Ohnn/The Spothe has a massive grudge against Earth-1610 Morales/Spider-Man and he has the ability to create portholes. These two individuals are continuing from where they left of earlier in the film; so we see them appearing through these portholes fighting, going from here to there, there to here Earth-1610 Lieutenant Jefferson "Jeff" Morales [voiced by Brian Tyree Henry:] he worked for the New York Police Department, actually he is soon to become Captain, he is also the dad to Earth-1610 Miles Morales and married to his mother Earth-1610 Rio Morales/Earth-42 VĆ©lez [voiced by Luna Lauren VĆ©lez:] Earth-1610 Rio Morales is a nurse, as far as we are aware they don't know that their son is Earth-1610 Spider-Man.

But back to this action sequence of we have Earth-1610 Lieutenant Jefferson "Jeff" Morales trying to keep up with these two super-humans including dealing with his wife on the phone now and again, on top of that we have some other comedy in the dialogue exchanges [because this sequence is of decent size I will not mention another action sequence.]

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; it progresses things smoothly, energetically and it has gave the third instalment Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse 2024 [I am going to say yes it has been confirmed, but I am also going to say as things stand just in case something comes up all goes wrong.] But I digress it has a lot to live up to regardless when it comes out and yes this should be absolute no surprise it already has some awards accredited to its name; 3 Winners that includes Hollywood Critics Association Midseason Awards 2023 HCA Award Best Picture and at the same award ceremony/event Best Director Joaquim Dos Santos Kemp Powers Justin K. Thompson. 1 Nominee from the same award ceremony/event Best Screenplay Phil Lord Christopher Miller Dave Callaham.

Let's do this one more time: basically; we meet Earth-1610 Miles Morales/Spider-Man [voiced by Shameik Moore:] an intelligent individual, he attends this boarding school throughout the week called “Brooklyn Visions Academy."But after getting bitten by a spider like every other spider person, he makes a promise to a dying Earth-Dimension 1610 Peter Parker/Spider-Man [voiced by Chris Pine:] this dimension's Spider-Man to stop Earth-1610 Wilson Fisk/Kingpin [Liev Schreiber:] a infamous crime lord, the leader of Alchemax and is trying to rewrite history to save his family, but don't worry Earth-1610 Morales/Spider-Man is not coming alone.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 117 minutes film is good, it just needs to keep itself relatively loose free-flowing with structure [so it can instantaneously adapt to whatever happens next.]

Art: well straight off the bat from time to time it runs like we are in a comic book or/and elements of a comic book such as inner monologue speech bubbles on the screen or/and sound effects speech bubbles like for an example POW! I know I shouldn't make this example because they are two different comic book companies, other than comic books the only other reference I could use is the DC Batman 1966 live-action TV program [1966-1968; 3 Seasons, 120 episodes.] I mean if you look close you either have this reference being used or/and we also have Earth-616 [B] Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man [Jake Johnson:] he is heading towards his 40's, out of shape, screwed things up with MJ, so of course he would be an excellent mentor for Earth-1610 Morales/Spider-Man. But I digress but they are having this discussion on how to resolve this problem, whilst crawling up the side of this building, it is like one of those climbing up  the side of a building with Adam West/Batman and Dick Grayson/Robin, but built around the fact that these Spider Men can climb buildings naturally using their abilities, what really kind of puts across this idea of it being mimicked from this live-action TV program is based on these two points this sequence has been shot/animated to watch these two characters go up this side of the building up close and personal and like the live-action TV program when we have somebody opening up the window to engage with West/Batman and Grayson/Robin we have in this film we have this girl looking through this window to indicate that whomever came up with this sequence could have possibly paying homage to this iconic live-action TV program, but put their own spin on it and keeping it with the more mature tone of this animated film title; if it was a homage to this live-action TV program, it is an excellent interpretation and a good little action sequence and there is one more reference to at least Warner Bros/Looney Tunes or better known today as Warner Bros Discovery/Looney Tunes [they have a long-term relationship with DC] we have a character Earth-8311 Peter Porker/Spider-Ham [voice by John Mulaney:] a talking pig that is a photographer for The Daily Beagle which has of what we see as the ability other than the usual Spider-Person has the ability to for an example produce a wooden mallet out of disguise and not only that to really drive that this home, he dares to use the signing off of "That's all folks" and why stop there he makes reference to wondering if basically they are going to get sued now. So as you can see there is also a good comedy flavour from this one example as well.

Character developments and voice performances: I can really appreciate how they tried to create these moments for these individual Spider-People like for the example Earth-Dimension 1610 Miles Morales/Spider-Man takes this massive leap backwards off the top of this building as he has recently found his inner belief to go and take care of business with the other Spider-People to complement this sequence we have this urban music [no I am not being racist here, I am just saying it as it is.] But it also is designed to mimic the attitude and the confidence of our newest Spider-Man as for the first time not only in his life but as his alter ego as well; he can truly break free and be free. Whilst I have spoken about the youngest I may as well talk about the oldest by history Earth-90214 Peter Parker/Spider-Man Noir [voiced by Nicolas Cage:] is an investigator from the 1930's, basically if you get Dick Tracy, a basic outline a of what Spider-Man represents and should be, get the colours of grey and darkness put it all in a massive shaker, shaky around a bit, leave it to set for about a decade, then come back and take it out of its casing this is the kind of Spider-Man that would be the result of that.

Because I have only made roughly about one and a half references to some action elements, I will make another reference here. Earth-90214 Parker/Spider-Man Noir vs. Earth-1610 Alonzo Thompson "Lonnie" Lincoln/Tombstone [voiced by  Marvin "Krondon" Jones III:] he is the main henchman for Earth-Dimension 1610 Fisk/Kingpin in this project. So briefly much later on we have these two characters having a little fight which is something you will have to watch out for because it is in one of those large action sequences, which I am not criticising or complaining about, but there is lots of things happening, but this one in particular should stick out because Earth-1610 Alonzo Thompson "Lonnie" Lincoln/Tombstone gets squashed by a vehicle and briefly yes because Earth-Dimension 90214 Parker/Spider-Man Noir is old school he has also been given the luxury of having the punch sound effects speech bubble thing, but in his own colour system of in this case black and white.

The voice performances have been well chosen they fit perfectly with their characters, so there is excellent chemistry throughout this cast and hopefully they will have more time and more titles fluently become synonymous with their characters. Now I am not being touchy here, but I am fully aware of the world we are currently living in. Yes I have not made a direct reference to any of the female characters or/and voice performances. Before you exercise your fingers and burnout your keyboard. I have seen this sequel yet, but I do intend to potentially withdraw some of these names from the sequel so obviously I will have to mention some key ones, but the general idea is in the sequel to not mention heavily or at all if I can help it these names in this content, to basically refresh these names with the female names or/and new names. I have used this method before especially in long-term franchises, it isn't out of laziness, it is just making sure or trying to make sure everyone gets a mention at some point, so that it makes franchise content a little less daunting.

This film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; it does have lots to offer, but it does feel much more at home in the Spider-Verse where you do feel anything is possible and the restraints of the normal world have been removed and there is one extra scene right at the end of the credits. I should give a few moments to this man; we meet Earth-Dimension 1610 Stan [voiced by Stan Lee:] this man that runs this corner shop that we see for one scene. RIP Stan Lee 1922-2018 Excelsior! This should be absolutely no surprise; but this film has awards accredited to its name; 81 Winners that includes Academy Awards, USA 2019 Oscar Best Animated Feature Film Bob Persichetti Peter Ramsey Rodney Rothman Phil Lord Christopher Miller. 57 Nominees Grammy Awards 2020 Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media Spring Aspers (compilation producer) Dana Sano (compilation producer) Kier Lehman (music supervisor.) But for some strange reason it also has a negative award accredited to its name Razzie Awards 2019 Redeemer Award Sony Pictures Animation. I am a little bit confused by this award name because this award ceremony/event are legendary and giving out negative award, but in this case are they saying this film has some redeeming qualities to it meaning, it is good. But either way if I didn't mention this award at some point, I may run the risk of somebody coming back to me and pointing out you didn't make reference to the potential negative award, so that is why it is here.

Let's-a go!: in short Bowser, the King of the Koopas and ruler of the Dark Lands [voiced by Jack Black;] want to amongst other things rule the Mushroom Kingdom. But its current Princess; Princess Peach [voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy;] a Princess who realises that if she doesn't get reinforcements similar or later in one way or another her kingdom may fall. Luckily enough in a world far, far away on earth, to be a little bit more specific Brooklyn, New York these two Italian-American brothers; Mario [voiced by Chris Pratt:] a plumber, which has plenty of courage and doesn't mind using his fists in he has to and has recently started up his own plumbing business known as Super Mario Bros. Plumbing with his younger brother Luigi. Luigi [voiced by Charlie Day:] is also a plumber, out of the two of them he is much more cautious and afraid, there is some courage in there, but he just has to find it and also believes in this business with his brother

The framework and pacing of this 92 minutes film is a lively affair for the vast majority of this film, but it does fall into the trap of using a lively affair approach and those of a certain age would understand this better than most, because you know at some point it is either going to have to slow down or run the risk of running out of steam for a little while and this is precisely what happens, but it does find itself again, to then push on through and complete the movie.

Art/Action/Comedy: this is a highly engaging computer animated film project, which has a smooth palate of colours at its disposal which from time to time we get transported not only from our world into their world, but also from for an example from the Mushroom Kingdom to the Dark Lands, so they have tried to incorporate but for each backdrop and even game such as Smash Bros or/and Mario Kart to stand out a little but feel incorporated which doesn't break the flow of the film and yes we even get a small reference to Donkey Kong the 1981 video game, I am making reference to as soon as Donkey Kong [voiced by Seth Rogan:] an showman/showgorilla that at some point in this film takes on Jumping Man/Mario in combat, the very small reference I am making reference to is when Kong picks up the first barrel. Obviously for the comedy I have to make reference to Bowser performing this piano ballad entitled   “Peaches" this is truly glorious and I enjoy the following duet as well.

Character developments and voice performances: on both counts they are excellent versions/voices of who they are meant to be. Jack Black as the voice for Bowser, the King of the Koopas and ruler of the Dark Lands; his character developments are a imaginative take on this iconic character as I have already shown it gives them more of a spectrum to work with; without breaking Bowser's core personality traits. Likewise the same can be said for Anya Taylor-Joy which provides the voice for Princess Peach; she is grateful to the Mushroom Kingdom for looking after her when she was little and making her their Princess when she was old enough; she will do our very best by them, she has a well rounded personality that she can stand and lead her kingdom by herself, isn't arrogant to ask for help of anyone when she needs it as I have already shown as well.

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; this is an excellent first computer animated adventure out for this franchise, as I have already indicated it has so much to offer and on top of that it has lots to offer a potential sequel and yes finally we have not one, but two extra ending credit scenes, one at each end of the ending credits.

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/impaling references to Russia/medical

I will send you ahead to meet your grandpa in the Cayman Islands: briefly;  Sarah [Thalia Campbell:] is an intelligent girl that is sent to these islands because her parents are in some deepwater with the wrong people. Her grampa; Matt Robson/Jim Bentom [Nicolas Cage:] he is a retired special forces.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 103 minutes film is just so, so, so unenthusiastic to the point where the person what some of these films with and I were falling asleep and to complement that and I do mean that sarcastically we have this comedy level that comes across like it is trying too hard [even though I have just said this; I should very quickly point out because this film is slow it gives off the illusion that the comedy is just trying too hard.] Whilst I'm on the subject there was only a small number of occasions is that where this film made me laugh; for a small example we have Robson/Benton doing a impression of someone that is dying/dead.

Action: they are hard-hitting and sometimes in conjunction with the comedy where in this scene Robson/Benton has put this rope around his daughter's waist; Ashley [Ashley Greene:] she is Robson/Benton's estranged daughter which now needs his help. So he is trying to encourage her but quickly to jump off and down this balcony to the next one below before the henchmen catch them, but he has to quickly throw her off and deal with the henchmen; let's just say they make it down but the henchmen makes it down to the ground level.

Character developments and performances; on both counts they are solid, you know they follow their character types and the only ones that had genuine chemistry was Sarah and Bobo [Ron Perlman:] a high-ranking henchmen to Donnie [Jackie Earle Haley:] which without giving too much away he himself answers to somebody else. But I digress Sarah and Bobo talk about many things for an example William Shakespeare's Othello.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; I mean yes I have pointed out some of the positives that this film has to offer, but it is a counterbalance situation, so let's try and leave this content on a positive if you are a fan of either or both of Cage or/and Perlman take a look at this film, but I would suggest going in with low, really low expectations, actually the lower the better to the point where you might actually be pleasantly surprised that is how low I am talking about here so either way you can't go wrong.
