Recommendation of: WWE Fastlane 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Warning/Disclaimer/Just a heads up: flashing effects/colourful flashing/medical/biting. Disclaimer yes I know all of these results in different ways but I still watched this event and finally just a heads up there will be a time where I completely go off on one, but as everyone should know by now I don't directly use adult language.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs. Champs The Judgment Day's Finn Bálor & Damian Priest; Tag Team Match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: The Bullet Club gets discussed on commentary, Jey performs his cousin's Dwayne  "The Rock" Johnson split slap/punch combination. This is an excellent way to begin this event. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.

LWO: the WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio, Santos Escoba & Mystery Partner [with Zelina Vega] vs. Bobby Lashley, The Street Prophets: Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford; Six-Man Tag Team Match: this is a solidly good outlay of a match slot; it is one of those where if you have seen or been around wrestling long enough you would understand that it's this kind of outlay is used properly and sparingly it can add a bit of variety to your live event: this match/match slot receives: 7/10.

Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Champ Damage CTRL's Iyo Sky; Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women's Championship: let's talk about the positives being the wrestling all of these individuals can wrestle which is obvious so when they come together it will be fireworks even though Sky had a small misstep on performing a Moonsalt on the ring apron on the ramps side as it gets referenced on commentary as well by Corey Graves; she slightly misses/hits Asuka, Flair puts Asuka in the apparent Boston Crab which also Graves remarks to as to lean back [I mean he doesn't want to make reference to the Liontamer or the Walls of Jericho does he,] because that is precisely what we have here, which technically the Liontamer, would be completely acceptable based on the grounds that would be a WCW reference and as the WWE own the rights to WCW as a descriptive word or reference this would be okay. Yes even though I have highlighted some things which were not perfect I still consider these to be positives in the grand scheme of things, so I would have still made reference to them, but they are not big issues.

Now we come onto the massive, irritating and brain-numbing negative I should now say I am about to drop a pipe bomb [in a wrestling sense;] I don't know about everyone else, but just give Flair 17 Championships so she can fudge off. I mean all we hear in this match slot is basically Michael Cole and Graves singing the praises of Flair and yes she may be a good wrestler, but she is completely undeserving of this praise. How do I come to that conclusion; she is meant to be one of the pioneers of the women's revolution, but everyone seems to forget that the ironic and hypocritical thing about her is she had to use a man to get her there in the first place [her father Ric Flair's name and standing within the wrestling industry;] and yes I know I have made reference to this now and again in one way or another. But this is one of those occasions where it just rings of hypocrisy, there is absolutely nothing authentic about her she is absolutely used everything at her disposal to basically be a female version of her father, mark my words "I will never see her as a genuine legend or a goat [Greatest of All Time,] in fact I will go one more step and say she is without a shadow of doubt the weakest of the WWE Four Horsewomen consisting of her, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks/outside the WWE Mercedes Moné. You see all three of these women have had to work incredibly hard to get where they are today; full disclosure I don't know too much about Moné these days other than that she has turned herself into a bigger deal than Banks and is making the right sounds. I mean the only interest I have in Charlotte is when they put her up against Jade Cargill, because they essentially have a younger model in Cargill which of what I know about Charlotte's history backstage of using her undeserved credibility backstage they may go with Cargill, just because she might be easier to work with and if you're wondering Cargill as of this content first being created is 31 whilst Charlotte is 37 years old. It seems very fitting for me to use this expression "Tell me when I am telling lies?" I mean I would really like the take off one more mark, because of a commentary but because of the high standard of wrestling I just can't do it.

John Cena & LA Knight vs. The Bloodline: Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa [with Paul Heyman;] Tag Team Match: without giving too much away, but still putting a little something here, so I will be cryptic slightly for those that haven't seen this yet or at all; this entire match slot including a special guest doing more than one job, it is what it needs to be from every wrestler involved in this match and on top of that; here is something for you to hear out for roughly; we get a reference relating to Street Fighter on commentary. This match/match slot receives: 7/10.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Champ Seth Rollins; Last Man Standing Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: our commentary team really do put over this main event, but however Cole does have had to correct himself twice; for some reason he makes reference to the last time Rollins was pinned, but that does not apply here with this stipulation and he does say the wrong wrestlers name, Corey makes reference to last Saturday's main event at NXT No Mercy 2023. As for the match itself it takes this main event such a long time to kick into another gear, so based on Cole and Graves supporting this match/match slot until it finds another gear. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.

The average mark of this pay-per-view is: 7/10, basically what we have here is; two excellent matches being the book ends of this premium live event and in the middle there is good wrestling and this has nothing to do with tribalism, because it is under the same umbrella, but NXT No Mercy 2023 on an overview perspective was much better and let's be honest this isn't the first time Recommendation of: NXT No Mercy 2023 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2023/10/recommendation-of-nxt-no-mercy-2023-by.html
