I get Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 2010
vibes about this sequel:
basically we have Regan Abbot [Millicent
Simmonds:] is a deaf young woman that goes off looking for survivors on this
island, her mother Evelyn Abbott [Emily Blunt:] a mother and a widow that has
recently had a baby, also has an injured son Marcus Evelyn [Norh Jupe:] he
can't really go anywhere too far as he got his foot stuck in a animal trap, but
he knew of his sister's planned journey. So Evelyn asks Emmett [Cillian Murphy:]
a survivor of this situation, back when the world was normal he was a friend
Lee Abbott friend [John Krasinski as Lee Abbott/a Writer/Director as he was for
A Quite Place 2018,] he doesn't want them staying with him, but that is where
the Abbot are currently calling his habitat their home, but after some
persuading he goes out looking for Regan.
The framework and pacing of this 97
minutes film is well; like I referenced earlier I get Harry Potter and the
Deathly Hallows - Part 1 2010 vibes about this sequel and for those people that
have seen this film you know precisely what I mean and for those that don't or
haven't seen this film. There is even not much happening or lots of walking. I
guess the only saving grace is this film isn't like Deathly Hallows - Part 1
2010; it doesn't go on for 146 minutes. So as it relates to this film for here
and now I would say it is boring, but if this is what they were going for it
has done its job.
Art/Action: yes
the art is still highly engagable and highly imaginative as it relates these
scenery or/and to this alien invasion and consequently their action sequences
for one example; Evelyn uses this oxygen canister and this revolver to set this
alien on fire, but it just walk-through it.
Character development and performances: on both counts they are safe and reliable.
This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; I mean no way is it as good
as its first instalment, in hindsight this title feels more like possibly
sitting down the ground work for a future title. But however this film has some
awards accredited to its name; 14 Winners that includes Critics Choice Super
Awards 2022; CC Super Awards Best Horror Movie and 44 Nominees that includes
BAFTA Awards 2022 Best Sound Erik Aadahl Michael Barosky Malte Bieler Brandon
Proctor Ethan Van der Ryn
