In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 by AverageMansReviews
Edge & The Mysterios' Rey
Mysterio [with Dominik Mysterio] vs. The Judgment Day Finn Bálor & Damian
Priest [with Rhea Ripley;] Tag Team Match: my pick is Edge & The
Mysterios' Rey Mysterio [with Dominik Mysterio.] This is speculation on my
part, but this feels like one of those match outlays where this match is going
to be good, but it is going to be more about the aftermath where yes the
babyfaces might pick up the W. But the heels will instantly get their momentum
back by leaving still standing and walking Beth Phoenix comes to the aid of her
real-life husband and The Mysterios, but this time she gets beaten down by
Ripley, hopefully setting up a mixed Tag match at WWE Extreme Rules 2022; Edge
& Phoenix vs. Ripley & [probably Bálor, but either him or Priest is
good.]
The Brawling Brutes Sheamus [with
Ridge Holland & Butch] vs. Champ Walter [with Ludwig Kaiser;] Singles Match
for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: my
pick is Walter. Yes I refuse to call him his WWE main roster name of Gunther;
this match just screams out let's kick off this pay-per-view with a clash of
the titans approach with consequently the atmosphere to carry on hopefully
throughout this pay-per-view. But as things are as this is a special occasion
which I mean they could do this as a surprise, but I know this is purely 1000%
speculation on my part I really wanted this match to have a Special Guest
Referee by the name of Davey Boy Smith Jr. just to represent his father who won
this championship at WWF/WWE SummerSlam 1992 from Brett "The Hitman"
Hart, I mean they could get Bret to be in this position but it seems more
fitting that Jr. does it, even if it is an one-off appearance for this very
special one-time appearance for here and now.
Riddle
vs. Seth Rollins; Singles Match: my
pick is Seth Rollins. This feels like one of those situations where this feud
is set to escalate so to add a little bit more gasoline on the fire Seth
Rollins is going to pick up the W. here, but this match is potentially going to
steal the show.
Damage Control
[Bayley, Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky] vs. the WWE Raw Women's Champion Bianca
Belair, Alexa Bliss & Asuka; Six-Woman Tag Team Match: my pick is Damage Control [Bayley, Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky.]
Like the previous match in this list this also has the potential to steal the
show, I just wish they added stipulation of Eliminations as well just give
these wrestlers/competitors more time to work with in theory [I was thinking I
would add that in before someone came back and said " They could do the
eliminations in rapid-fire" or something to this effect.]
Shayna
Baszler vs. Champ Liv Morgan; Singles Match for the WWE SmackDown Women's
Championship: my pick is Liv Morgan. Yes I have
chosen this option, but I also believe we are looking at a dusty finish here as
well which isn't going to do Morgan's momentum or perception any good, unless
they are playing a long booking strategy, where we have a triple threat match
between Ronda Rousey, Baszler and Morgan for this championship at some point
these two friends in Rousey and Baszler implode consequently Morgan beats them,
which in turn makes her look a bigger babyface overcoming the odds and so on
and so forth, which sets up a grudge feud between Baszler and Rousey for a
little while so that Morgan can face a new challenger.
Drew
McIntyre vs. the Champ Roman Reigns; Singles Match for the
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: my pick is Drew McIntyre. For quite a few reasons; it isn't every day that the WWE
come to the UK like this, as I have already referenced it was at WWF/WWE
SummerSlam 1992 so repeating the format once every 30 years of a United Kingdom
wrestler winning a significant title in their home region isn't such a bad
idea, especially when I have already put Sheamus down to lose and Bálor to be
on the losing side of his match as well in their home regions, so they should
do the championship change here to make this momentous occasion and to make
sure everyone leaves happy. I mean I really wouldn't mind Karrion Kross and/or
Scarlet, being the reason behind this in any capacity; it protects Reigns from
the loss, it makes this new duo look strong for backing up what they have been
indicating about the egg timer and Reigns time has run out with his
championship and it sets up Kross [with Scarlet] vs. McIntyre for this
championship which I have to say yes please. I was talking to someone yesterday
and they think Reigns is going to retain here, which there is very little value
for this, because it leaves this pay-per-view on a sour note, because it isn't
every day the WWE comes to the UK region in this manner and if this does
happen, where does McIntyre go from here? Because besides Kross as of present
times they haven't got anyone else that could potentially stop Reigns' reign,
before I receive backlash yes, yes I know this was down to the previous regime
of the WWE. But I am just talking fact. If McIntyre becomes the new champion as
I have already indicated I just see this as a massive positive for the WWE as a
whole and in my final section, you will see/read they have been dropping hints
to this potential championship change already.
They have been potentially foreshadowing this title change
anyway with the promotional content of this pay-per-view of this Welsh Dragon
[Roman] and McIntyre with his Sword, I am making reference to the English St
George slaying the Dragon, before I receive any complaints I should do some
housekeeping; yes I am aware that McIntyre is Scottish so his St is St Andrew
and the Welsh St is Saint David and just out of interest the St for Ireland is
St Patrick.
