Birds of Prey [Series 1,] Episode 7: Split by AverageMansReviews

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flash photography/flashing effects/other effects/abduction component.

Storyline: it is good; it knows what it is doing from beginning to end and end and it sticks to that.

Get a room: the character development between Kyle/The Huntress and Detective Reese at the beginning was good; but at this point it is okay it does its job, but it is slightly wearing a bit thin. I would say at this point as I have just said it is okay, but it has every potential to turn into a negative if it carries on this way; progress it; do something with it just don't continue this ongoing dance of will they; won't they between these two characters, because I can see it irritating me at some point.

Kyle/The Huntress and John/Darkstrike: this is a good action sequence where we have these two characters taking on these criminals.

Reflection: this is great imagination; excellent art

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; this is just a solid good episode is what we have here.

Birds of Prey [Series 1,] Episode 6: Primal Scream by AverageMansReviews

4 things about this episode

Warning: there are flash photography/flashing effects/other effects.

Storyline/Characters: these two components go hand-in-hand; the storyline is good; the character developments are being well-developed in this episode, yes usually I would be a little bit more specific but in this case they are happening all over the place between different characters and different performers at different times in this episode.

But for one example; the conversation between Gordon/Oracle and Pennyworth discussing Kyle/The Huntress and her parents [Father; Wayne/Batman and Mother; Selina Kyle/Catwoman.]

Masks: these masks look good; in particular the ones relating to cats; I should just say I am a cat person, so you may find the other ones more appealing and eye-catching art

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; I haven't seen the next episode yet, but it is worthwhile saying these character developments are all good and progressive, but if we don't have a partial mid-series/season pay-off soon or eventually a series/season pay-off/finale then these character developments are going to be a waste of time. Now all of this may sound really harsh, but mixed in with my years of experience of watching TV programs and films and a feeling I'm getting based on my viewing experience of watching this TV program I really want to be wrong here, I'm already getting the feeling there is a potential of running out of time, in fairness and balance they could may be do some background work or something like this; mixed in with a partial mid-series/season pay-off or not, but after these next two episodes they will have to get their skates on with the contents and not the pacing to finish this series properly, this seems a good time to point out that yes this TV program was cancelled, so when I say properly I am just looking for a solid ending here and not expecting too much.

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flash photography/flashing effects/other effects.

Storyline/Families connections: these two components go hand-in-hand; generally speaking the storyline is good; it does somewhat shove a particular family tie down our throats a little bit too much [I am not going to discuss this,] because that would be giving too much of the storyline away. But I can say this; I get why they took this approach, because it is something safe and reliable, but I still didn't like it getting shoved down our throats and it does get better when they don't shove it down our throats so much.

But if I had to choose between this approach and another character developments approach, I would have chosen the one right at the end of this episode [Hawke; Father and Detective Reese; Son,] it is something straight the point and it should guarantee your viewers should tune in next week for the next episode.

Now if it should happen you are wondering "Why I didn't speak of those character developments but I brought up the others?" In situations such as these I will often leave out one not to give too much away, but discussed the others or a small amount to put in its review in question; for substance in the review and so I can point out as it relates to this review this was a great twist.

This family member shows their ability: this family member [from the one I am not going to talk about] shows their ability once again. These two components; the action and the art go hand-in-hand as well.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; after everything is said and done this episode finds itself at this mark.

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flash photography/flashing effects/other effects/medical procedure/breaking of neck.

Storyline: generally speaking it is something safe and reliable

Birds of Prey and a baby: this component of this episode is slightly a bit annoying to begin with, because when you watch it; you will understand very quickly that this kind of thing you may have seen many, many times before in one way or another. But having said that these are very good character developments for everyone involved including Pennyworth and Guy of many different ages [this will make better sense when you watch this episode.]

Superman reference: Dr. Melvin ask's "Are you faster than a speeding bullet?" Whilst lining up his sight on his gun at Kyle/The Huntresses neck they are facing each other [one of those red dots,] which I have to point out is completely unnecessary considering whomever he aims this gun at is a very, very, very short distance away from him, so he cannot miss.

Kyle/The Huntress & Guy: these two characters take on these hired henchmen in this action sequence; this is good.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent: the only problem with it is the opening section and its predictable awkwardness and this kind of thing between the Birds of Prey and this baby the quicker we get away from this section the better this episode gets.

Birds of Prey [Series 1,] Episode 3: Prey for the Hunter by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

 5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flash photography/flashing effects/others effects/character on fire/suicide/prejudice and discrimination components in one way or another.

Two intros: this is overkill; the viewers have this origin/back stories narration from Pennyworth over this sequence of events and then we have this standard intro, can we please have one or the other, in fairness and balance I could understand having them both for the first two episodes, but now it is beginning to wear on me a bit, so I will just skip the intro the first intro; watch the little bit of the episode and then skip the second intro and then watch the episode. Yes I do this with other TV shows as well and haven't mentioned it; but in this case it seemed like a worthwhile thing to point out.

Storyline: it is good; now as you may have noticed in my first point in this review, this episode does cover dividing people from one another [yes I am trying to put everything politically correct or at the very least so I don't get any backlash.]

But in this case it is so-called normal people [I know Det. Claude Morton isn't a so-called normal person, he is a metahuman vs. all the metahumans in New Gotham; taking them out one by one.

So we have these points being discussed throughout this episode including Gordon's boyfriend Brixton's Mother Margaret disapproving of their relationship because in short her legs don't work.

But we get to a point in this episode where we have Gordon/Oracle and Kyle/The Huntress having this dialogue exchange and after this dialogue exchange; the point of this episode becomes much more direct, don't get me wrong you can still understand/feel what everyone is saying before this turning point, but as I have already said it just comes over with more directness which does help with the pacing of this episode.

Birds of Prey: Gordon/Oracle, Kyle/The Huntress and Lance; be it in different parings or altogether; there is good character developments and performances consequently there is good on screen chemistry between this trio [I haven't forgotten Pennyworth, it is just I have discussed him in the previous episode review.]

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; after everything is said and done it finds itself at this mark [just to cover my back as it relates to the prejudice and discrimination components, I am pretty sure that at one point or another these two components get used, but it depends on your interpretation I just wanted to cover my back either way, but apologies if I am wrong I don't think I am still apologies.]

Birds of Prey [Series 1,] Episode 2: Slick by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

 5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects

Storyline/Locations: these two components go hand-in-hand; this is where I should say that the pacing and the art have a lot to do with one another, which you will either like it or not. For me it is a good way of doing things for an example we the viewers get taken to the outside of New Gotham High School, then inside Gordon's classroom for a scene. By doing things this way it does give these episodes momentum and if you think about it; it is like a giant video game, from this perspective you go to this location and you see the front first and then you go inside.

Super Friends: they get referenced when Kyle says "Greetings Super Friends" [this is an excerpt,] this is a reference to the DC Comics and the Super Friends animated TV program from 1973.

Alfred Pennyworth: I am very happy with this interpretation of this character everyone knows that this character is very important to Bruce Wayne/Batman or any character connected to Bruce Wayne/Batman; one of the vital personality traits that this character has to have is; this is an everyday occurrence which makes this character serving the Wayne family or anyone connected to them of being a vital person in their lives with wisdom or being slightly comical or anything other he may have to be or be asked to do or asked to be or absolutely anything other.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent; you may hear me say this a lot whilst reviewing this TV program, but I know we are only two episodes in, but already this seems to be like one of those TV programs that knows what it is doing and what it can bring to the table. Yes it may have the feelings and look of the 2000's cheesiness. But then again it is somewhat difficult to criticize a TV program which is doing the best with what they had back then [I'm not talking about the financial resources, because I brought that up in the previous episode review and it in a nutshell being expensive or something to that effect; even though they must spend a fortune on these comic book TV program reincarnations in today's world,] I am talking about the technical resources and that kind of thing.]

Birds of Prey [Series 1,] Episode 1: Pilot by AverageMansReviews

Birds of Prey [Series 1,] Episode 1: Pilot by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: these reviews for this TV show will work under the rules of between 3 to 5 things about this episode.

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/suicide in this episode.

Storyline: it is excellent; it covers everything that should get covered in this first episode and if you're wondering which Bruce Wayne/Batman Universe this is set in; it would be Michael Keaton's/Earth-89

The budget must have been large: now this is just speculation mixed in with what I've seen in this episode with bringing New Gotham to life and other things; for the early 2000's this TV program must have cost a pretty penny per episode or altogether from start to finish of this Series.

Spider-Man reference: there is a reference to Spider-Man in this episode in a dialogue exchange between Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle and Kyle/The Huntress

Mark Hamill: you can hear Mark Hamill as one of his alter egos; yes I am putting it that way because he has been associated with this character for a very long time as the voice of The Joker and on a quick side note his other alter ego is obviously Luke Skywalker.

This episode receives: 10/10, this is lots of fun; now yes now and again it does look and sound cheesy in places, but having said that it does look and feel it has plenty to offer and it is already Galaxies upon Galaxies upon Galaxies much better than the film title Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn 2020.

On a side note when it comes to making these reviews public I will also be using the hash tag Arrowverse; this time line/World is used in the 2014 version The Flash Episode Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three and the same goes for the Batman 1966 TV program as Dick Grayson/Burt Ward appears in [only no Robin] DC's Supergirl 2015 [Season 5,] Episode 9: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One/Earth - 66.

The Flash 1990's TV program gets the green light as well, because  John Wesley Shipp appears as Barry Allen/The Flash - Earth 90 The Flash [Season 6,] Episode 9: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three and yes I haven't forgotten the fact that this performer has consistently worked on The Flash 2014/Arrowverse as other characters as well, but let's just focus on Crisis on Infinite Earths 2019.

Ashley Scott as Helena Kyle/The Huntress; The Flash 2014 [Season 6,] Episode 9: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three or Rachel Skarsten as Dinah Lance in this TV program has also worked on DC's Batwomen 2019 as Alice/Beth Kane. So it may not be characters but performers as well like Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher [Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman 1993-1997 TV program as the self-titled lead partnership including other characters and these two performers have worked on the TV program DC's Supergirl 2015 as well; Dean Cain as Dr. Jeremiah Danvers and Teri Hatcher as Rhea; to clarify any TV program/anyone I feel that qualifies to be included, but it will make sense when I include them at that point.

Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn 2020 by AverageMansReviews

Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn 2020 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there are colourful/flashing effects and an element of animal cruelty in this project.

Just a heads up: as everyone should know by now I don't use any adult language in my blogs, but I do have ways around it as you will read, but whilst I am being honest my language whilst watching this project was of the strongest adult varieties even after watching it I was still using it.

Storyline: this is purely a tornado of donkey diarrhea, I mean I have no idea what they were going for here other than as I have already said a tornado of donkey diarrhea.

The movement of this project is just a complete write-off [as in if you were unfortunately in a car accident you may as well write off this vehicle it would cost too much to repair even with the insurance.]

As this storyline likes to go backwards and forwards into other storyline components be it origin or back story [yes we even get a rewind,] newsflash I really couldn't or don't care because we have either seen it in a previous film title [Suicide Squad 2016] as it relates to Harley Quinn or as it relates to the other characters Renee Montoya, Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress and Dinah Lance/Black Canary [better known as Birds of Prey,] when as it stands I have looked at these performers upcoming films [full disclosure when this review was first dictated it was Friday, 22 May 2020 & Saturday, May 2020] so everything could change but as things stand there is no sign of using these characters/performers again including this character Cassandra Cain, so it was a complete waste of time introducing these characters individually or as the Birds of Prey wasn't it really! And I just realized you even have the Birds of Prey in this title so even this is beyond stupid if you're not down to use the Birds of Prey again isn't it?! When we are guaranteed to at least get one more film with Harley Quinn [The Suicide Squad 2021,] yes there could be more on the way but this one is guaranteed at the moment.

The thing is after about 10 minutes I was already using adult language, because I already understood that this film is terrible and then it takes up to 51 minutes to show its potential and from here onwards it is still a rocky road but at least it isn't terrible, only around the final quarter of this disaster of a project does it show its true potential and what it should have been the whole way through and just not roughly around the final quarter or slightly more [just to cover my back but somewhere around here.]

Action/Art/Comedy: Ring, ring, ring Apologies I have to go and answer that telephone call. "Hello there, yes I am busy reviewing Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, Oh it's for you, it's the early 2000's their asking for their action sequence style back? They say "It wasn't fun to watch back then and certainly isn't fun to watch now." Okay thank you for your telephone call, I have passed on the message."

If it should happen you have no idea what I'm talking about, the slow-motion attack thing [you'll know it when you see it;] it didn't interest me back then and guess what it doesn't interest me now, the only very tiny small element I like of this; when we have Quinn/Robbie kicking this mobile telephone into Montoya/Perez head.

But this is not going to be the last time I say something to this effect the final quarter of this project as it relates to the action sequences are carnage until the closing credits

Art; the opening component to this film [Harley Quinn's origin storyline] in the style of cartoon or singing [Dinah Lance/Black Canary/Smollett-Bell] or the Hyena [Bruce] or the final section be it The Fun House or after this or in the first wave of the closing credits.

Comedy; for a large amount of this project it is garbage; the egg sandwich thing just strongly annoys me and then on top of that Quinn/Robbie breaking the fourth-wall for a moment [I wouldn't have minded this; but it doesn't feel natural]. But once again later on in this project it begins to do the style of comedy which it should have been doing from the beginning for just two examples; Quinn/Robbie sharing red liquorice with Bruce like Lady & The Tramp or her missing guns.

Characters/Performers: to somewhat speed this up I will say after the 51st minute the character developments begin to develop where I really apologize for repeating myself but in my defence this is how this film is roughly around the final quarter these characters/performers seem to be on the same level as it relates to their character developments and consequently they have on-screen chemistry.

But the problem is the Arrowverse took Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress [I could remember this name, but I still had to go and make sure she was in this TV program] and Dinah Lance/Black Canary much, much more seriously and yes I may vaguely remember Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress in this universe like she was in it, but then I looked at this version and even though I can't remember too much about it I feel supremely comfortable saying this version has been treated as a joke.

The colossal problem during and after this project is where does Quinn/Robbie go from here, before this film I would say she was on the same level as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman/Gadot and Arthur Curry/Aquaman/Momoa as in characters and their performers which are the DCEU [DC Extended Universe or whatever name they want to called there cinematic universe] crown jewels that will make them lots of money at the box office.

Right I want this to be known on reflection with something dawning on me as I was just about to put this review into post-production this is not an out and out Harley Quinn film so consequently it changes my perspective slightly it is still going to be overwhelmingly negative, but I have more confidence to now say this; they really did put Harley Quinn/Robbie under the bus here, because as I am a logical/factual person her name [Harley Quinn] is not the first name in this title which now brings up more questions like why did they make this film? Based on the facts as I have already said there is no sign of them bringing the Birds of Prey back so why have them in the title at all? Why have this film based around them, if once again you're not going to bring them back? Why have one of your crown jewels in Quinn/Robbie be the only one carrying the burden of this project onto future DC film projects, so she is the only one heavily tainted by this project which she is; [before someone points this out on a drop of research I am now aware that the Birds of Pray have a series of comic books which the name comes first in the title] I am specifically talking about the name thing first not the fact they have a series of comic books, because yes I didn't know it but I assumed they have because generally speaking [just to cover my back] everything is based off a comic book in one way or another as it relates to these types of films.

Because like it or not her character has taken a massive hit in this project and somehow in her next outing they are going to have to rectify this massive problem, because based on what this project has done to her character any other character/performer with a stronger personality and presence will make her look like the odd one out as it relates to on-screen chemistry.

I know some people are going to absolutely have a problem with what I'm about to say next, but never mind, the MCU [the Marvel Cinematic Universe] doesn't have this problem and this is because they plan out many films years down the line so it is like a massive jigsaw puzzle so basically as it relates to just the on screen chemistry no one is left behind yes you still get different stages of their development like the new generation of characters/performers means the older generation of characters/performers but no one feels out of place [minus one by reputation Carol Danvers/Vers/Captain Marvel/Larson, I was thinking I would point this out before the DC fans point this out for me. Yes at this moment in time I need to review all 7 film titles be it live-action and animated.]

This film receives: 1/10, yes it does have some good elements or good components to it, but the fact remains the negatives; the strongly negative things about this project obliterate [counterbalance] the positives. [On a quick side note on more research there was a Birds of Prey TV show in 2002 for 13 episodes [1 season,] using the character Harley Quinn and as of this blog when it was being dictated I know absolutely nothing about it I didn't know it existed until give or take about may be 15 minutes ago.]

Suburban Commando 1991 by AverageMansReviews

Suburban Commando 1991 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/electrocution/animal cruelty/decapitation/squashing/transformation

Storyline: and the pacing are both something safe and reliable.

Action/Comedy: now these two components go hand-in-hand in this project it could be our lead character Ramsey/Hogan trying to help out this Mime in one way or another in these separate occasions or helping out this young girl get down from the tree.

Action individually; there are weapons being used, combat Oh yes I should point out that Ramsey/Hogan goes one-on-one with Hutch/Calaway a.k.a. WWE's The Undertaker at some point in this film.

Comedy individually; we have this Ramsey's/Hogan space shuttle eventually running out of power, but before it does it just has enough power to reach this abandoned big garage type of building and then it falls like a led balloon through its roof or this Asian businessman [Mr. Zukaki/Narita] saying what he really thinks by subtitles and his interpreter taking the diplomatic route by saying something else but relevant to the situation at hand.

Characters/Performances: including the on screen chemistry all three of these components are what they are; when you come to watch and experience this film; you know they are a solid representation of their character types; there is good on-screen chemistry between Ramsey/Hogan and Charlie Wilcox/Lloyd.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; meaning not to repeat myself here but it is what it is harmless, action, comedy, cheesiness and in hindsight it is good it came out in the 1990's because on one hand it does feel and look like a film from this time in history and it doesn't do anything wrong in the comedy department being heavily goofy, but I couldn't see this project being greenlighted by today's standards minus this global pandemic or yes maybe as a B. film or a WWE Studio project/production or even an online subscription original content project/production.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures [Season 2,] Episode 21: The Apple Doesn't Fall Far from the Phone Booth  by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects

Storyline/Captain Jonathan "John" Logan: these two components go hand-in-hand in this episode as we the viewers with Bill & Ted using their Telephone Booth go back in time to see what Captain Jonathan "John" Logan [Ted's Father] if he has the personality traits he has now backed then that he said he did and to see if Ted can learn from him; on both counts these are excellent [storyline and character developments,] because it uses a safe and reliable storyline format to show that this Father and Son often butt heads and usually there is a threat of Military School [Old Oaks Military Academy in Alaska] if Ted basically doesn't shape up, but on one hand in this episode it shows that Captain Jonathan "John" Logan used to receive a similar threat from his Father just a different place and location [Admiral Trench's Military Academy in Arizona] so this is learn behaviour and it is past down from Father to Son/may be daughter or non-binary; it has the potential to repeat itself if Ted doesn't stop the cycle with his children and on the other hand it puts across to Bill, the viewers and much more specifically Ted that he has so much more in common with his Father then what he thinks.

Baking with Science: we have Bill & Ted [posing as his Father in a Science/Chemistry class] as they accidentally make peanut brittle; this is good action and good comedy going hand-in-hand here.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; it has some real substance in it.

Now we have come to the end of this TV show; yes this Second Season has a positive run of Episodes to finish things off. But as the First Season has no negative Episodes to its name [mixed to positive;] it all stems from the strange reason from the very beginning of the Second Season Bill & Ted have a personality and IQ change for the worse.

Where in this Season for most parts they just come over as very annoying and crucially it changes their dynamic with Rufus; where it goes from what needs to be done, guidance, support and sometimes help in the First Season to essentially babysitting duty; yes for a very tiny amount it doesn't help things when we don't have Bill S. Preston, Esq. voice by Alex Winter, Ted 'Theodore' Logan voice by Keanu Reeves, and likewise Rufus voice by George Carlin; I should clarify this has very little to do with these performers [but it is worth pointing out, because these performers are these characters] and in fairness and balance Bill S. Preston, Esq. voice by Evan Richards, Ted 'Theodore' Logan voice by Christopher Kennedy and Rufus voice by Rick Overton do a solid job voicing these characters, but it also has to be said you cannot replace the original trio.

What this TV program needed to do was stay within its boundaries and not come up with this stupid idea of this new Circuits Directory [known as Squint.] I mean if they wanted a narrative for 8 Episodes, what they should have done is basically this; come up with the idea of it is the Final Exams of the school year and Bill & Ted have their Final History Exam and they are given a list of seven components of history they are failing by their teacher, so each week we have one adventure focused on one of these components and for the final week; Bill & Ted decide to go and do some last minute studying in history somewhere, but unfortunately their Telephone Booth breaks down; they try and fix it but Rufus just about gets there in time to give them a helping hand; so Bill & Ted just make it in time back to sit down in the class room to begin their History Exam and that's where we the viewers leave them with the camera spanning out to see/hear Rufus getting into his Telephone Booth with [breaking the fourth wall] looking at the camera with saying "Be excellent to one another." and then off he goes in his Telephone Booth [with that roll the ending credits] and I know I have discussed this already but this fits in here as well; changing the personalities of Bill & Ted including their IQ's for the worse [progress it but never regress it unless the rules/effects of time travel are in effect/consequences or an alternative Universe or Universes] or Rufus' personality change to compensate for Bill & Ted's change.

4 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects

Storyline: it is good.

Parody elements of The Sound of Music the 1965 film: now full disclosure I have never seen this film and I only know Maria/Julie Andrews carries a guitar in a guitar case just based on what I've seen online just now [when this blog/review was being dictated.]

But moving on now to the reason why I have said all of this; we see scenes of this film on TV at the time; including Andrews as Marie being brought from this landscape/scene into 1975 to babysit baby Bill & baby Ted as she is singing and playing this electric guitar and there is a little bit more when Bill & Ted drop her back into this film as they almost forget to take the electric guitar off her; they have to quickly return to quickly take the electric guitar off her. So we have good art be it visually or sound/musically and good comedy is well going to hand-in-hand here.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; it does have something good to offer its viewers in one way or another and just to finish off here; even though I have never seen The Sound of Music [1965] film let's just say it's one of those films providing they used the well-known scenes including if you have an interest in films and you have been doing this kind of thing as long as I have you; you should know a good percentage of the well-known scenes from films.

4 things about this episode

Storyline: it is good.

Their hearts are in the right place: we have Bill & Ted back to something like they used to be in Season 1, where they mean well but unfortunately things don't work out how they should or how they wanted them to work out and on top of that we have the comedy element making reference to that fact as well; where Bill says "This is not going according to the plan" which Ted instantly replies "We have a plan?" So this is good character developments and good comedy going hand-in-hand here.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; I mean at this point it has become crystal clear that they can't beat or are not even in the same stratosphere as the First Season, but let's be fair this is the best episode by miles and miles [like galaxies and galaxies away from one another;] but still good nonetheless.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures [Season 2,] Episode 18: Goodbye Columbus... and America by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects

Storyline: it is mixed.

Bill & Ted are just so hard work to watch now: for a section of this episode they come across as idiots but not only that selfish idiots as well which yes they may do clumsy things on every single level which can be seen as or interpreted as selfish. But in this episode it really does come across as a selfish streak from these two which consequently is out of character for Bill & Ted.

These two characters/people are good hearted people hence why they go on to become the future Great Ones in the 27th Century; but they're just not very smart. But later on in this episode they are okay nowhere near either being selfish or annoying or being like the original Bill and Ted from the First Season they are at least comfortably watchable.

Cannonball: Bill & Ted set up this frame of Tenpin Pins on Christopher Columbus Ship and together/between himself they throw this cannonball to get a strike; this is good action and good comedy working hand-in-hand here.

This episode receives: 4/10, this episode is mixed; after everything is said and done it comfortably gets into the mixed section of my marking system.

4 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects

Storyline/Bill & Ted are so unbelievably stupid now!: These two components go hand-in-hand; the storyline is irritating and a complete waste of time as Bill & Ted go inside a TV show [LEAVE IT To BADGER;] this episode is an episode rerun which individually they have seen well over 30 times [Bill 35 but Bill fell asleep on occasion but Ted says it still counts whilst Ted has seen this episode 36 times.]

Bill & Ted make changes in one way or another to this episode; so does that mean the next time this episode played again Bill & Ted will be in it as Police Officers or because I am a logical person and I know the basics of time travel if Bill & Ted are not there; the episode itself will just go back to its original scheduled programming; so I will highlight this again this is irritating and a complete waste of time.

But before this; we have Bill saying this absolutely dumb comment I will put it in English in short he says "Yes she will laugh at him; reruns are so predictable." This is one of those moments where as a viewer you just want to smash your head against a brick wall, yes I did giggle a little bit when I was dictating it here. Because it is just so stupid but wait we have one more occasion of Bill and Ted being stupid; it is where Rufus yes Rufus has to rescue Bill & Ted; all because their Telephone Booth is horizontal [yes they have tried standing it up, but not seeing if it works; until Rufus suggests the idea.]

Microwave food: Ted puts this small bag on this tray and heats it up and after it is finished he pulls out this tray which it has so much food on it; this is good comedy.

This episode receives: 1/10, this episode is poor; this episode is just painful to watch, I mean it actively damages your brain cells; this is how painful it is to watch and considering I already have brain damage I cannot afford to lose any more.

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/animal cruelty/animal feeding/ decapitation/stabbing in the neck/shooting in the head/slashing of the neck/torture/electrocution/slavery/fingers bitten off.

Storyline: it is good; the pacing of this project is happy rotating where it needs to go at that specific time in this film.

Art: well it most definitely transports its viewers from our world into theirs as we are welcomed into this project by narration from Giles/Jenkins and this location which is entirely underwater [without giving too much away you will understand why at the end of this film] and on some very rough research [I am confident that this film is based in the late 1950's] and the viewers get this feeling when you see the clothing and accessories and many other things but reflect this time in history very well indeed.

But of what we see of this location [meaning time on screen] it looks to be home-sweet-home for our lead partnership of Esposito/Hawkins and Amphibian Man/Jones as we see for just two examples things floating around and Esposito/Hawkins sleeping in bed.

Later on in this project we also have this black-and-white musical number [meaning this is done in black-and-white] with singing from Esposito/Hawkins whilst dancing with Amphibian Man/Jones; this is why earlier on in this review I specifically pointed out the 1950's, because just based on this musical number/sequence using the narrative of thought; it is done with imagination and wonder from this decade; the art in this entire film is done with the highest vision and creativity to bring this film to life.

Action: there are weapons being used, torture, combat and rescuing.

Characters/Performances/Comedy: including the on-screen chemistry all of these go hand-in-hand at some point in this project; we have Esposito/Hawkins and Amphibian Man/Jones as these two characters/performers are getting to know one another and trust one another over hard-boiled eggs to begin with.

Characters, Performances; and on-screen chemistry these are all good, but on an in-depth level this project explores Esposito/Hawkins and Amphibian Man/Jones; not one but two fishes out of water, but the human [Esposito/Hawkins] doesn't know it yet until she meets Amphibian Man/Jones; as before meeting him she is being half of the person she could be not connecting with anyone on any level be it spiritual or emotional or physical level because she is a mute.

Comedy individually for one example we have Esposito/Hawkins using the sign language alphabet to response to Strickland/Shannon and no I can't put what she said here.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; on reflection I gave this mark, because I did think anything less would be harsh; it is a very visual film and the person I watched this film with gave this film 8/10 and it has either Won so many Awards or been Nominated that it runs into hundreds Awards [Won 134 including 4 Oscars] and [Nominated 350.]
