Review Time:
5 things about this episode
Warning: there are flashing/colourful/other effects in
this episode.
Storyline: it is good; the global
breaking news thing is a little bit much; this thing with these news reporters
inside these telephone boxes, don't get me wrong I get it; but it does come
over as cheesy.
Serpentera vs. the Power Rangers' Zords: I have chosen this way of dictating this; because depending where you
are; is depending what you get; for one example you could just get Red Dragon
Thunderzord/Red Dragon Thunderzord: Warrior Mode with this Staff in his hands
looking up at how colossal Serpentera is [this is great camera work;] yes I
know by today's standards the special effects are looking old [you will know
what I mean when you see them.] But all in all there is still a lot of great
imagination being used in this episode be it the landscapes on this Planet The
Deserted Planet; here is a very quick description of this landscape; it is
something like out of Total Recall 1990 on Mars the whole deserted red tinge
atmosphere. But individually or together the action or art offers this episode
so much high quality.
Bloopers: now I was considering leaving
this blooper out, but just in case someone in the future points this out, I'm
just going to cover my back, now this is just speculation and a guess but a
reasonable guess as well; so based on this guess to bring this episode together
as in getting it done with all the backstage politics at this moment in time.
They had to
use archive footage of Tommy from his Green Power Ranger days [he is wearing a
green item of clothing,] which I am sure a high percentage of you know out
there; this franchise likes to link their Power Rangers individual colour to
their civilian attire so at this precise point Tommy shouldn't be wearing green
he should be wearing white and yes I know this TV program have used other
archive footage at some point or points as well. In the previous episodes
including this one, but it is just this particular point sticks out like a sore
thumb.
On to the
next blooper Zordon introduces this new Zord [Tor the Shuttlezord,] but we have
already met this Zord in a previous episode [Episode 85 : A Monster of Global
Proportions] so why do it again here? In fairness and balance this is a better
introduction, but this time around we get to see him on the Viewing Globe
whilst Zordon is introducing Tor.
This episode receives: 9/10, this episode
is excellent; after everything is said and done this episode finds itself at
this mark, I mean if the beginning of this episode didn't come off so cheesy we
would be looking at the highest mark that is how much high quality contents we
are looking at in this episode.
