Review Time:
5 things about this episode
Warning: there are flashing/colourful/other effects in
this episode.
Storyline/New allies get put over: I was thinking I would put these two components together because they
go hand-in-hand in this episode, so on but counts these two components are
good; they do what they are designed to do which is to put over to the viewers
these new allies of The Power Rangers.
"Get
put over" this phrase basically means to promote someone by saying or
doing something or both; for a quick example; it is commonly used in a
wrestling sense where an established or veteran or retiring character/performer
puts over the younger talent by making them look good in the ring or maybe
taking the loss, in essence giving the younger talent credibility and should
establish the younger talent [but it doesn't always happen; if the hierarchy of
this wrestling company changes their mind on this character/performer, then
they could be right back where they started or worse.] But I digress in this
case the episode without giving too much away has been designed for these
allies to be given a decent amount of exposure on-screen; these are good character
developments.
The monster for this episode: I really do
like the artistic look of this monster; his origins is made from this energy
output meter [which belongs to Skull's Dad] and the rest of him being like from
the film Big Trouble in Little China 1986 [these three characters/performers
Thunder/Wong, Rain/Kwong and Lightening/Pax.]
"Hail Lord Zordd": now this is
what you are meant to say when you are a hypnotized zombie in this episode, but
Skull says "Hail Lord Fred." This is a good comedy element; it just
shows even when Skull is hypnotized he can still make mistakes.
This episode receives: 6/10, this episode
is good; it clearly has a purpose of putting over these three allies and it
sticks to that
