Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 1989 by AverageMansReviews

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 1989 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good.

Fundamental elements: there are words and numbers on screen, voice-over elements, cultural elements, background music, yes and no to subtitles being used when another language is being used, interpreter elements, quick moving effects, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement; it is quick paced has it rotates or jumps [depending where you are; is depending what you get at that specific time.]

Back stories/Storyline: the viewers meet Rufus/Carlin has he breaks the fourth-wall; he gives us this information on the future, but more importantly that our lead partnership of Bill S. Preston Esquire/Bill/also called William by Rufus/Winter & Ted Theodore Logan/Ted/Reeves cannot be split up, because if we are future as we know it will not happen [there is this square that appears in the same of Bill & Ted, so it feels like an old-fashioned news report, yes if you are very certain age you will know what I mean] and Rufus does break the breaks the fourth-wall again at the end of the film.

There are other back stories discussed in the dialogue exchanges, a Napoleon narrative for some of this film and monologues/speech from Bill or Ted whilst they are giving this history report. The storyline it is straightforward, but good and the viewers will have this experience of going full circle with this title.

Artistic visions/Action sequences/Comedy level/Blooper: watching this massive golden like Crystal shape [coming down from an opening in the ceiling during the opening credits] being later on constructed into this Telephone Box with a science-fiction twist; a Telephone Box; I know this is a strange concept for the younger generations, but these were used before mobile telephones and yes even a fax machine is used in this film to deliver a message to Bill & Ted with wild horses heads on it, because their brand-name is the Wyld Stallyns But moving on The Circuits of History [this will make much more better sense when you watch this project,] yes they are looking a little bit vintage by today's standards, but they are still looking good, the futuristic elements; such as the costumes and their accessories and set designs all of that is good as well and there are instruments being played at some points in this project.

Yes the action and comedy components work off one another sometimes in this title or it is in the dialogue exchanges but back to action and comedy you can see here are two examples; there is this bar fight or it could be when Bill & Ted are play fighting with these swords whilst they are in this old-fashioned complete body armour/head/face re-enacting a scene from Star Wars [more specifically Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 1980.]

But there is one extremely outdated piece of comedy which I can't say but I know it is in this project, I can describe it but that is about it; it is a reference to somebody's sexuality and it is a no-no in today's world

Blooper; it is where we have Bill & Ted [two pairs of them from two different timelines] playing air guitar and this is the only time that they have to make the sound effect. I have to see this as a blooper, because usually, the sound effects usually kick in when they are playing air guitar [once again if you are of the younger generations playing air guitar with sound effects of a electric guitar is their thing.]

Character developments/Performances: the character developments are good minus one thing; there is a bit of coming-of-age between Bill S. Preston Esquire/Bill/Winter & Ted Theodore Logan/Ted/Reeves in the final stages of the film, I also have to see the extremely outdated comedy element as outdated character developments as well, if one were wasn't said I wouldn't be bringing it up.
But moving on these two characters are not the brightest bulbs when you flip the switch, but somehow minus Ted forgetting to wind his watch and Bill pressing the wrong number, they seem to have grasped one of the pluses of time travel easily and there is good chemistry/a little bit of friction between these two in a scene and good chemistry between these two and Rufus/Carlin, all the rest do good as well, but either breaking the fourth-wall [singly or with our main partnership & other characters] or our main partnership or this trio they deserve to be highlighted for being the driving force behind bringing this film to life.

This film receives: 6/10, after some time thinking about it I chose to stay with my original mark, because it is what it is, it doesn't claim to be anything else and because of the trio of performers which I have already mentioned in this review, this mark is a fair outcome.

A Civil Action 1998/1999 by AverageMansReviews

A Civil Action 1998/1999 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, numbers and words on screen, cultural elements, background music, environmental, mental imagery, slow-motion effects, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

Movement; this project moves quickly, it tells you the viewers a crumb of information on screen with the words once [place name] in the film and there is a lot of information out the end of the film, all I am saying here is dates would have been useful or dates and times [if they couldn't find specific times then okay lets go without obviously.] But dates would have been informative and given this film a better structure. I mean the only reasons that we know three months has past is because of the quickness of the scenes and it gets discussed in this scene with a small number of characters/performers.

Back stories/Storyline: they get discussed in the dialogue exchanges and mental imagery by a character/performer, then much later on by our lead character/role, thinking of the other character/performer's back story, the storyline itself is good and it is based on real-life events.

Artistic visions/Comedy level/Action sequences: there are these landscape models, a supporting character/performer is drawing this man with his head in a noose and there is this night outside scene where our main character/performer and supporting characters/performers are sitting inside this location, because this is where they work; but for here and now it's raining, thunder and lightning [once.]

Comedy; there are little bits and pieces of comedy such as when our lead role picking up two speeding tickets roughly in the same place on this bridge [one going to this meeting and the other coming back from it] and likewise there are little bits and pieces of action entirely surrounding these construction vehicles and things of this nature and this factory.

Character developments/Performances: on both counts they are good; good chemistry/friction, depending where you are is; depending what you get but either way still all good.

This film receives: 7/10, as I have already said this film is good.

For the Birds 2000/2001 by AverageMansReviews

For the Birds 2000/2001 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is excellent, now usually as this is a short project roughly over 3 minutes I wouldn't go into this level of depth, because I don't like to give too much away, but as it relates to this project you will understand why.

Fundamental elements: there is background music, cultural elements and no subtitles when another language is being used.

Artistic visions/Character developments/
Comedy level/Storyline: all four of these components work hand-in-hand with one another; the viewers meet these little bluebirds on this high up telephone wire; the visual presentation of this project is neat and tidy and well presented. From beginning to end, there is a lot of facial expressions and body language, mannerisms and squawking.

Character developments; these bluebirds quickly bicker/squawking between themselves, that is until this bigger, friendlier bird interrupts them then they focus on this character; this bigger and friendlier bird seems to have the characteristics of someone who suffers with either a mental disability or illness [yes I was trying to put that very nicely and respectfully and I have said both just to cover my back,] in fact we have a little bluebird character pointing this out in an impression of this bigger and friendlier bird.

But all I can say for the comedy level is this; the bigger bird will have the last laugh [he doesn't do anything wrong or seeking revenge.] But this short project's storyline has a subliminal moral message of if these little bluebirds were kind to begin with they wouldn't have found themselves in this situation to begin with.

Voice performances: it is good.

This film receives: 8/10, I decided to award another mark to this project; because it has more going on than on its first appearance, yes the penny dropped some time later and it may be a good educational tool, at that crucial age range just before your child or children begin making their own social groups that kind of thing and this feels like one of those occasions where I should dictate a disclaimer I am not preaching to anyone, but simply discussing what is in this project and before I receive any backlash or comments of any description, I only bring this up when it is appropriate for me to do so; I suffer with a mental illness as well, so all I am saying is I have experience and not forgetting I am in a wheelchair as well [yes I am very much aware that being physically disabled is not the same as being mentally disabled; this is not what I am saying here but you kind of learn little bits and pieces about other disabilities or illnesses if you spend long enough in this lifestyle or with someone in this lifestyle that is what I am saying here and nothing more.]

I know from personal experience, how much this may be irritating to some people myself included where people claim they are in the same boat as me, but they aren't [this is why I have taken some time to put this in,] because yes generally speaking there are some people out there that are in a similar situation, but I am specifically talking about the one's that aren't or nowhere near to my situation and I have just realized this project is roughly 20 years old, so even back then they were on to something which needed to be addressed or talked about more freely between people, instead of sweeping it under the carpet and trying to ignore the problem or hoping it would go away [I am still not preaching just pointing out a fact that this project is roughly 20 years old and mental disability/illness or physical disability is still a problem as in most people want to run away from it or the person that has the mental illness or disability on any level or other just in case I have missed anyone out.]

Briefly; unfortunately it is only getting worse, because we currently live in the cosmetic, superficial and throwaway society but as long as this planet keeps spinning there is time to change this outlook.

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Royal Rumble 2020 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Royal Rumble 2020 by AverageMansReviews

Humberto Carrillo vs.
the United States Champion Andrade: my pick is Andrade, in a nutshell it just feels like it is too early to change the Champion here.

Chad Gable vs. Sheamus: my pick is Sheamus, just because he is returning to in-ring competition. Now I'm pretty sure I have made reference to this once already but either way I am refusing to call Chad Gable "Shorty G" give him a respectable persona and I will use it.

Lacey Evans vs.
the SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley: my pick is Bayley, yes I haven't watched much wrestling content lately, I have begun catching up, but I don't see this Championship changing hands until WrestleMania 36, in fact I don't see the four main singles Championships changing hands until WrestleMania 36 so the WWE can do this new cycle of feuds or a reset.

I just have this feeling if Evans is going to win this Championship [her first Championship] the WWE is going to pull the trigger at WrestleMania 36 to create this moment of she has gone from serving her country to winning her first-ever Championship on the biggest stage of them all in professional wrestling WrestleMania

2020 Men’s Royal Rumble Match: my pick is Roman Reigns, my thinking process is this; this company want SmackDown to win to keep Fox happy and to make it the flagship show or continuing to basically take the flag away from Raw and placing it on SmackDown and just out of interest I would say Drew MacIntyre if Raw was to win it; come on WWE pull the trigger on Drew MacIntyre winning the WWE Championship some time in 2020.

I mean you could have MacIntyre feud with anyone on the Raw side at the moment and it would be entertaining; Black, Styles, Owens basically anyone I don't know about everyone else but MacIntyre the WWE couldn't screw it up [I know famous last words] as long as they scripted it/play it out properly he has many more interesting and engagable feuds in him than what Lesnar does by many Galaxies far, far away. I mean what does Lesnar have to offer a rematch against Velasquez; no thank you.

This rematch itself; this is just speculation because I have no idea. But if I had to guess this rematch may be used for either Summer Slam 2020 or I feel much more confident suggesting more than likely another of those controversial pay-per-views in the Middle East later on this year not the upcoming one sometime soon.

Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin Falls Count Anywhere Match: my pick is Roman Reigns, basically The Usos will even the numbers [I know this is happened already previously, so it will be 3 on 3 -- Roode & Ziggler] and consequently after this Reigns will be able to focus on the Universal Championship.

One half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Asuka vs. the Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch: my pick is Becky Lynch, don't be too surprised if after this match someone squares up to Lynch in the middle of the ring and points up to the WrestleMania 36 sign to begin this feud or continue it as it relates to Rousey or Baszler.

2020 Women’s Royal Rumble Match: my pick is Shayna Baszler, now I don't know if she is going to stay in NXT, but it will either be Baszler or Rousey or both at WrestleMania 36 Triple Threat Match or a Fatal 4-Way Match including Charlotte. But anyway you look about it Lynch is losing at WrestleMania 36 and based on here and now I would guess Baszler to pin or submit Lynch to make a superstar overnight and completely changed the landscape of women's wrestling in the WWE. Because I see Lynch is already questioning herself in this current feud so they could continue this into WrestleMania 36 and beyond, where Lynch questions herself but eventually comes back with this refocused attitude and just putting foot to posteriors, so long-term it will not harm her in fact it may freshen up her character.

Daniel Bryan vs. the Universal Champion
“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt  Strap Match: my pick is “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, now as I said earlier I would discuss this situation more later on. So here we are; now after doing a little bit of research “The Fiend” Championship reign [holding this Championship, when I was dictating this stands at 85 days,] so based on this I now see him losing it at this year's WrestleMania, because by then you will be safely into 100 days as the Universal Champion.

Now if the WWE were smart I would do this Championship drop in a 100% protected fashion for everyone involved, such as this; Reigns vs. Bryan vs. the Universal Champion “The Fiend” in a Triple Threat Latter Match with a debuting or a returning character/performer attacking “The Fiend” to set up a new feud and it also instantaneously inserts the debuting or returning character/performer high up on the card and in the same token enforces the idea that this individual has to be slightly unhinged for attacking “The Fiend”

On a side note; yes I have looked at the WWE pay-per-view schedule and they could do a Universal Championship drop at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020, but this would require him to get pinned or submited in the Elimination Chamber Match in itself [in fact I am getting a sinking feeling that they may do it here, which I just don't like it.] Because I think for The Fiend's first name Brand Championship reign it needs to end on a big stage and having “The Fiend” in the Main Event picture in one of your three Main Events needs to happen at WrestleMania 36.

But if they do the Universal Championship drop here; it would be two massive negative things happening in one moment; he loses his Universal Championship [his first] and showing he can be pinned or submitted which for here and now is something I would not give up so easily in this situation, let's not forget Bray Wyatt/“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt  had to rebuild himself after the Hell In A Cell Match at Hell In A Cell 2019, so I would really appreciate it if the WWE try to avoid a similar situation like this one, at least my suggestion on how he/they could lose their Championship, doesn't really harm him but it gets the Universal Championship off them.

Life on the Line 2015/2016 by AverageMansReviews

Life on the Line 2015/2016 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good.

Fundamental elements: there are numbers and words on screen, cultural elements, background music, quick moving effects, slow-moving effects, mental imagery time jumps and place jumps.

The movement; the only problem that this project has is when it is rotating backwards and forwards between back stories [mental imagery] and the present. This project is much more happier going forward, it just feels like when these mental imagery back stories happen it throws this film off its rhythm.

Back stories/Storyline: the viewers get placed in this interview situation and we will come back to this interview situation a couple of more times in this film and [this back story on top of this; before the title of this film] and as I have already mentioned we get these mental imagery back stories, sound effects of a character/performer suffering with PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder] and they will get discussed in the dialogue exchanges as well. The storyline has narratives crossing over into one another, some merging later on and this film is based on real-life events.

Action sequences/Artistic visions/Comedy level: there are equipment, machinery with people doing their very dangerous and life threatening job, combat and a weapon being used. Moving on to the artistic visions the scenery looks excellent [to be specific the outside scenery,] you will know what I mean when you see them; they will capture your attention that is for sure, there is this band playing music and look out for this little Tin Man [a character from The Wizard of Oz] and there is a little bit of comedy in the dialogue exchanges.

Character developments/Performances: on both counts these are good, consequently there is good chemistry/friction [depending where you are; is depending what you get.]

This film receives: 6/10, as I have already said this film is good.

Kurk: The Last Mission 2018/2019 [alternative names Kursk or The Command] by AverageMansReviews

Kurk: The Last Mission 2018/2019 [alternative names Kursk or The Command] by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is mixed.

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, a number and words on screen, cultural elements mental imagery, background music, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

The movement is slow and steady; I can't say much more than that really, I mean if you want me to try and stretch it out a little I can say it is consistently moving but that is about it

Back stories/Storyline: the back stories get discussed in the dialogue exchanges and the storyline gets split into these places narratives for an example we have these characters/performers trapped in this Submarine, in one way or another they do crossover and merge, I have one final thing to say about this storyline; it is based on real-life events.

Action sequences/Comedy level/Artistic visions: there is a Chopper being used, in the water or underwater sequences [underwater drone and rescue sequences,] moving on to the comedy level; they come from monologues or dialogue and finally moving on to the artistic visions; there is singing and some good scenes of the Submarine.

Character developments/Performances: on both counts they are good.

This film receives: 5/10, there isn't anything majorly wrong with this film but as I have already said in a nutshell this film is slow and steady.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation 2013 by AverageMansReviews

G.I. Joe: Retaliation 2013 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this sequel is lots of fun

Fundamental elements: there are words on screen, voice-over elements, cultural elements, background music, no subtitles when another language is being used, slow-motion effects, time jumps and place jumps.

The movement; this sequel has been structured supremely better than its predecessor in every way shape and form, consequently it is much, much easier to take in what is happening and it just moves with gusto throughout its time frame of roughly 110 minutes.

Back stories/Origin storyline/Storyline: the back stories range from this voice-over and this computer Intel profiles to news reports to public address to dialogue exchanges to dialogue exchanges and monologues with mental imagery which turns into an origin storyline

Now I have a lot to say about the storyline; yes this is a sequel [now here's the confusing part] it can also be seen as a soft reboot in a way; we don't see or hear anything about a supporting character from the previous film title which played a large part in the project, another character gets left behind in this sequel [so it was pointless doing his families legacy at the beginning of the film/his origin storyline near to the end of the previous film] and a main character/performer has a limited storyline in this sequel [I should just point out everything I have said here will make sense if you watch G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 2009 first or you have watched it and in short I am trying not to give too much away here.]

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow [with other characters/performers] get their own narrative, yes they merge with the other storyline at some point, but you have what is happening with the G.I. Joes and then you have what is happening with these two characters/performers and we have this question mark/continuation ending [in the passing of a gun in a box between two characters/performers.] From now on I will be just bringing up some of the narratives or on a project to project basis, just so that I don't have to discuss everything or it gives me a little bit of flexibility if I discuss the storyline as a whole or just in case I forget a little bit here or a little bit there, I don't discuss every detail anyway but you know what I mean; not a big problem that kind of thing, obviously I will put something down for you to read, but just giving myself some flexibility to work with.

Action sequences/Artistic visions/Comedy level: there are plenty of weapons being used and things like choppers, on the water and underwater action sequences, outer space sequences, here are some things for you to look out for; Firefly uses his motorbike to make an entrance into Einsargen Subterranean Prison [his motorbike separates into multiple sections and acts like rockets from many rocket launchers if they were going to shoot one rocket at the same time, he is also wearing a little parachute] or much later on; our lead character/role is driving this modified tank [it looks to be more agile than the standard tanks,] I should just say to cover my back I am not a tank expert, but it looks good nonetheless.

The artistic visions; well they made Cobra Commander look/sound like the real deal we get to spend a little bit of time seeing things from his perspective as well. Now this is an action sequence/artistic visions we have Snake Eyes and Jinx [with Storm Shadow in this sleeping bag thing] with these Ninjas sent out with a mission to get Storm Shadow back.

So you have these characters/performers running, jumping swinging and climbing [using these harnesses and these long accessories in their hands to go over these Slipwire routes in mid air chasing, these Ninjas used these Firearm Grappling Hooks as well] running across these rock/mountains doing combat all over these beautiful scenes [on a quick side note yes if somebody was to come along and cut your wire or the individual makes an error they will die and take surrounding characters/performers with them in some cases, so when I say cross these scenes the only thing keeping them up on the side is wire and connection.] I have to say like its predecessor I do like the Asian sections of this sequel.

Comedy level; there is this videogame scene or in the dialogue exchanges.

Character developments/Performances: the character developments are good, the performances are likewise all good; good chemistry/good friction.

This film receives: 10/10, this is just speculation here but I am quietly confident someone, somewhere said something to this effect "Now we have done the worst live-action G.I. Joe film in history in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 2009, could we set our sights much, much higher?" So they did and they came out with this.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 2009 by AverageMansReviews

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 2009 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is poor

Fundamental elements: there is a number and words on screen, cultural elements, slow-motion effects, quick moving effects, mental imagery, yes and no to subtitles being used when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

The movement; well the movement of this film is extremely tiresome; on one hand it is quick pace whilst on the other hand the problems that this project has it isn't predominantly it's fault more like a sprinkling of salt, I know this is relatively early but I have no problem saying this film was doomed to fail and because of this; this film feel much, much longer than what it is film length is only 118 minutes [I will explain more in this review.]

Origin storyline/Back stories/Storyline: I hope this film is still being shown somewhere to anyone that wants to get into the film industry on any level, because to put this very nicely it clearly shows what not to do. Based on my viewing experience in these three components are excruciatingly painful to sit through.

Because continuously throughout this film the viewers will get in one way or another an origin element or back element or back to the storyline [present day] and I would like to take a second to highlight when I say continuously I am not even close to exaggerating, I mean if you want me to be positive for a second on reflection the narrative between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow younger or older this is good.]

But this film covers so, so, so, so much that the viewers will quickly see this film as nothing but torture as it jumps around squeezing as much information in as possible, without giving this film or its audience time to breathe and to take in the latest piece of information or part of the film and one final thing there is the question mark/continuation if you look for the character/performer the President of the United States of America.

Action sequences/Artistic visions/Comedy level: the action sequences are designed to be hard-hitting in-your-face with weapons being used or combat with younger or older Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, vehicles [such as these Snowmobile Jet Skis with a massive science-fiction twist] or this shooting training simulator [like a computer game where you are holding the gun] this underwater training [in this underwater Battle Fighter [this is not its official name but how I would describe them, because I don't know their official name, but in fairness to myself you will know them when you see them] or this underwater battle sequence [inside the same underwater Battle Fighters as it relates to the GI Joes] or when we have this sequence of Snake Eyes on top of this armoured moving vehicle trying to get to Storm Shadow inside or when our lead character/role runs jumps over this train wearing a Delta-6 Accelerator Suit [this very expensive body armour/weapons system,] there is a parachute being used as well in a separate scene [I was dictating the comedy level paragraph and I remembered this -- this will make sense when you get to that point in this review and on top of that I came back another time to put in the parachute or like I couldn't remember how our lead character/performer dealt with this train or tram, but before this element I watched Snake Eyes on top of this armored vehicle -- yes I often go back to watch an element again, just to make sure it is in the right order or I have forgotten it or I should put it in or something to this effect and yes I don't bring it up normally, but in this case it illustrates how much hard work this film is.] Moving on to the artistic visions; there is this band playing, singing and dancing, these scenes or sequences involving younger Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow and the underwater training with the Battle Fighter, Battle with, the Battle Fighters these all look good and eye-catching.

Comedy level; now I was watching this sequel [G.I. Joe: Retaliation 2013] and I remembered I didn't mention anything about the comedy level in this project, like I keep saying on reflection, because at the time of dictating this review the first time around there was so much to say as you can see, but as I vaguely remember and I haven't published this review yet there are elements of comedy which aren't that funny; in this scene the best friend character/performer comes along and does the best friend thing or the same character/performer really, really wants to get to know this other character/performer which is female but everything he tries doesn't work [maybe it is because they are not in high school anymore if I had to have an educated guess] or the same character/performer not taking the time to read this manual for this Delta-6 Accelerator Suit.

Character developments/Performances: well the character developments very much get shoved down our necks thanks to the origin and back stories and if it isn't these two elements the character developments are poor anyway.

The performances; the thing is as you can clearly see/read this project has many problems, I mean once again on reflection Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow; younger with their Sensei or older these are good; there is friction here, I mean if this narrative or elements were given time to breathe and develop properly there is potential here [on a side note and I don't know too much about this but filming right now is a spin-off of Snake Eyes -- if you put into Google Snake Eyes 2020 you will find it.] Moving on there is a little bit of chemistry/friction between Snake Eyes and Duke [in the combat training scenes.]

But for the rest it is cosmetic chemistry/friction [meaning it looks like chemistry/friction, depending where you are; is depending what you get. But my point is this; what they are selling I ain't buying it. But then again in fairness and balance I should point this out; they are having to work with how terrible this film is as well.

This film receives: 1/10, I have said this when it is appropriate and this is another occasion in this review the reason why I keep saying on reflection, is because as I have already said in a nutshell there is so much happening in this film but maybe the time of watching this film I was getting frustrated of how poor this film is, but on reflection I can see if Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were given more time there is a much better storyline here than what this film has to offer [hopefully this is what they are focusing on in the film title Snake Eyes 2020.] But for here and now I am so happy to see the back of this project.

G.I. Joe: The Movie 1987 by AverageMansReviews

G.I. Joe: The Movie 1987 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is excellent

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, cultural elements, background music, no subtitles when another language is being used, mental imagery, environmental, time jumps and place jumps.

The movement; it is quick pace, but it knows what it is doing from beginning to end.

Warning: there is a character that goes through this metamorphosis slowly but surely; but more importantly this project may be a problem for people that have a medical issue with flashing effects or something like this; just to cover my back this is just a heads up [this feels like one of those occasions where I should dictate a disclaimer if anyone should watch this or any other project I have reviewed and I have or 99.9% of the time haven't dictated a warning or they watch this project, I will not be held responsible it is just in this case this title has effects which may or may not be an issue.]

Origin storylines/Back stories/Storyline: the origin storylines get shown to the viewers with this mental imagery with a dialogue exchange or monologues with this viewer thing that shows us. The back stories get discussed or get discussed with this sequence of what happened or we have a second character in this monologue with this small sequence of what she is talking about.

Now as it relates to the storyline; on every single level there is always something happening over here, over there or somewhere else, yes more often than not I would be a little bit more specific. But as it relates to this film it is easier if I just say that there is so much happening and this way it gives their characters space and time to breathe and to get on with what they are doing at that time in this film, there is a moment the potential unwanted sexual behaviour [it's sinister] but this female character takes care of the problem and then the male character knows who it is, it just feels like a no-no and there is another scene where a male character slaps a female character's posterior this just feels outdated, I am not being a prude or anything like this and I know this character is messing around and I have said similar comments to this one in this scene before as well, but let's just say this scene hasn't aged that well and the ending feels like a quick wrap-up but it is good nonetheless

Action sequences/Artistic visions/Comedy level: on both counts these have lots to offer this project be it this battle sequences training and other things; here is something for you to look out for providing you watch these films; in all three films be it this one or the live-action films; G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 2009 or G.I. Joe: Retaliation 2013, they all use in one way or another a parachute.

The artistic visions; they instantaneously transport you the audience from our world into their reality as I have already said there is a lot happening, but as it relates to this section of this review, there has to be given a lot of high praise putting these scenes or sequences together as they come across as manic, highly detailed and highly imaginative.

There are elements of comedy like when we have this lovely looking and lovable dog character his name is Order; he goes searching for this dynamite [set to explode when the timer runs out] and he keeps bringing it back when it is thrown away by another character his name is Beach Head [an instructor.]

Character developments/Voice performances: on both counts and on both sides be it on the G.I Joes or Cobra side of things there is a lot of friction and there is chemistry also. But it is good to see that not everyone can get along, yes it is to be expected on the Cobra side of things because they are a terrorist organization/evildoers. But I like how the G.I. Joes are good men and women, but that doesn't mean they have to get along all the time and the voice performances on both sides reflect the emotions and intensity of that perfectly, yes there is friction between G.I Joe and Cobra, but there is also a short-term arrangement which benefits two characters [one from each side,] this alliance is not exactly easy going but it shows in another world and time they could have worked together instead of against one another.

This film receives: 8/10, as I began this review with this film is excellent I will end by saying the same this film is excellent, but it is also worthwhile saying this; this project just reminds me of how lucky I was to grow up in the decade of the 1980's cartoons and the generations after me have no idea what they have missed out on. On a quick side note I notice that yes this is a Hasbro project and production but I saw this as well Marvel Productions

Mystery Men 1999 by AverageMansReviews

Mystery Men 1999 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is good

Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, background music, cultural elements, slow-motion effects, no subtitles when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.

The movement; I don't have much to say about this; because it settles down straight away and it knows what it is doing from beginning to end [including with the fundamental elements as well.]

Back stories/Storyline: they get discussed in the dialogue exchanges or they get monologues and shown to us in this tryout and like the fundamental elements and the movement; the storyline is straightforward but at the same time it is good [this is one of those occasions where, it clearly works so why complicate things which combines all three of these paragraphs so far in this review, so individually or together they are stable, which basically means you can put things in or on top of these components that likewise are stable.

Action sequences/Comedy level/Artistic visions: these three components offer so much; Action; we have weapons being used, combat, chasing, training and outer space. Comedy things going wrong in an action sequence, reading this important letter [but unknown to everyone else minus the reader it is a shopping list, discussing a character/performer's secret identity and separately a body function. Artistic; we have our lead evildoer [Casanova Frankenstein/Rush] being released from this Insane Asylum and the scene where he is in his limousine going back to his home, the audience gets to see this night scene with this limousine and lights and many other things, next we the audience get situated [camera angle/shot] on this bowling ball/character and we get to experience some journeys and the same can be said for our lead evildoer's little finger and yes I did just say little finger [this is in the ending stages of this project.]

Now just to cover my back these components can be seen as a separate element or working with one another for a quick example when we are situated on this bowling ball/character and little finger it is an action sequence as well [I was just thinking I would take the time to point this out before someone else pointed this out for me] and here are some very quick final points in this section this bowling ball looks great, it is something that Johnny Blaze/The Ghost Rider [character from the Marvel franchise] or Scorpion [character from the Mortal Kombat franchise] or Mr. Grimm [character from the Twisted Metal franchise] would be very happy to own this bowling ball/entity and watch out for this water fountain [it is in the background whilst our characters/performers are trying to be very quiet] it has these lights going in a sequence and there is this clown face/head in a scene, it is noticeable and the new costumes in the final section of this film.

Character developments/Performances: the character developments and the performances are all very good, there is this right level without pushing it too far of being too comical, so this project has the right balance of being comical/sensible this entire point will make crystal clear sense when you watch this project; because you get this feeling between these characters/performers yes there is chemistry/friction [depending where you are; it is depending what you get] but it feels natural.

This film receives: 7/10 there is a lot to like about this film; I do like the artistic elements I have pointed out in this review. This is one of those films that you can put it on a Sunday afternoon with the family which is easy to settle down with, but having said that be warned there are two elements of visual death [I was just thinking I would point this out especially after I recommended it to watch we've your family, but now you have been warned] and just before I finish they should have made a sequel to this film; they could still do it today, I mean yes I don't see it happening but they could come out of retirement for one last ride, because Champion City needs them again that reliable storyline.

Men in Black: International 2019 by AverageMansReviews

Men in Black: International 2019 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this film is mixed

Fundamental elements: there are words and numbers on screen, cultural elements, voice-over elements, yes and no to subtitles being used when another language is being used, slow-motion effects, mental imagery, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: now on both counts these show imagination and creativity, be it the arsenal car [basically without giving too much away a Men In Black vehicle which holds different weapons] or the science fiction modified motorbike in a chasing sequence or I like the pictures in a main character's office, in short there is a lot to see and experience in one way or another in this project.

Storyline/Character developments/Performances
/Voice Performance/Comedy: well I'm not looking forward to dictating the rest of this review, just because I know in the current world we are living in there is a very high risk of me getting some feedback of some description which throughout the next section at one point or another I will highlight if you choose to do this [which you are more than welcome to do,] I would strongly not recommended [I say this as advice not in a threatening tone just giving you a friendly heads up, the more you read the more it will become crystal-clear.]

The reason why I have linked these four points together in this review, is because I can't bring up one without the other or others. Yes the storyline is the run-of-the-mill for this kind of film so in theory it is okay, but if you look/listen closer it keeps dropping donkey diarrhea piles on its legacy.

To be honest I don't know where to start and I'm not going to bring up every single point; the fact that our lead female role pretty much just throws away the Noisy Cricket Gun as if it was nothing and gets a bigger gun of some description [if Agent J. can use it I don't see why Agent M. shouldn't be put through the same ropes even though Agent J. wasn't too best please at the time when he first received it,] that is beside the point all new Agents should be given a version of the Noisy Cricket Gun regardless of gender, it is a part of a hazing/welcoming to the family that kind of thing.

Men In Black now I have absolutely no problem with saying this; they should absolutely not change this name to include Women, because under this idea I should be able to go and change anywhere to include the words Wheelchair or Mental Health because I don't feel somewhere represents me as an individual in the name of their business or whatever, do you know how crazy that sounds. Yes absolutely there are places that have a specific purpose which would indicate they assist predominantly men or women or children or both or other in their name. But in this case we are talking about Men In Black, here is a great idea if you don't like the name don't work for them? [Just for the record I am in a wheelchair and I have mental health issues, I only use these cards when I feel it is necessary,] I have just had a better idea, I mean this is such a crazy idea it may just work; how about coming up with a new franchise so in this case it includes everybody in the name [sarcastic tone is very much intended here.]

Which swiftly moves me onto the Queen thing as it relates to our lead female character and this other character, so on one hand this film talks about women as equals and then it pulls this thing with this character that takes our lead female character as his new Queen, which I should just point out she doesn't want this; this character says something to the effect of "You should have said."

But here's my point; after this at no point did she of what I can remember say Please stop it or attempt to educate this character about her just being her and getting somewhere in life because she has worked hard or just being seen as an equal or even though no one will know she has made the difference in the universe, she will know [well that is before she gets Neuralyzed,] you see if they did what I have just suggested then I would back this thing more, but as it is it has no legs to stand on.

I have a big problem with this Queen thing or any wording connected to that, so in a nutshell it puts this lead female character in an undeserved high status, somewhere between wanting the same as her peers even though she just got in the door to being a Queen.

I have another point to make; without giving too much away our lead partnership or trio are having this discussion and our lead male character is being really genuine about this situation [I can't tell you too much more than that because that is an element of the storyline,] but this lead female character ends up just laughing at him and to be honest I really couldn't care less for her reasoning.

Because you cannot have women wanting equal things or whatever on one side of the coin, whilst on the other side of the coin; telling men they should be more open to expressing themselves and then laughing at them when they do.

So generally speaking I don't know what I can tell you about these character developments/performances/voice performance/comedy level, besides the issues with the character developments I have already discussed, I would say away from these issues the other character developments and performances are doing their job [minus two characters/performers I will discuss them later,] the voice performance is good. The comedy level there are little bits and pieces such as one example this little character getting out of a jar, but I apologize for bringing this up again, because of the previous issues I have discussed in this review at length the comedy level is there, but it can be mixed in with these issues as well.

Hemsworth and T. Thompson; well this project sucked this excellent  connection out of this dynamic duo, I can say this; because I have seen Thor: Ragnarok 2017 and I can't remember too much about it [what can I say I watch way too many projects,] but based on I gave this sequel a 10 out of 10, but back onto this film the chemistry/friction is there, but it is a paint by numbers kind of thing and it isn't just these two characters/performers that have this problem I would say the cast have this problem as well [just before someone points this out yes I am aware that I have just used a DC reference as it relates to two MCU characters.]

So I think I'm going to cut Hemsworth and T. Thompson some slack, because as I have already gave evidence to suggest together on a better project they can do much better.

This film receives: 5/10, I could have given this film a different mark but this mark is fair, but when it does something negative it really does set this film back [I should just point out I have no idea what this project is, from this perspective a prequel, a sequel or a reboot, or whatever it wants to be so I just went with film..]

On a quick side note I am not trying to compete with anyone for equality or equal rights, but all I'm going to say is there are many different types of people out there that are looking for equality or equal rights it shouldn't just be focused on women for like 95% of the time and before you get angry on your keyboard, I am not talking as a Caucasian man now I am talking from the perspective of a wheelchair/a person with mental health issues as well.
