Review Time: now just before I begin this review, a quick
announcement from now on I will be withdrawing 85% of all comments such as I
had to replay the scene or sequence or something to that effect and this goes
for other elements as well unless it is worthwhile mentioning in the review
itself [it is up to me if it is worthwhile mentioning or not,] just because it
is no big deal if I have missed out little bits and pieces and I would prefer
to focus on other elements and as I have always said I don't discuss every
element of every project I review anyway.
Now moving on to
this TV program I will be talking about some points of this TV series and
leaving the rest out for the reason I have just finished the previous paragraph
on or make a brief reference to something.
Fundamental elements: there is a time jump, words on screen
[one year later,] there are place jumps and this flashback dream thing, I have
a feeling the fundamental elements for this TV series are going to be reliably
functional, meaning they move with an understanding of what they are doing and
with great structure to them.
Character developments: now in this paragraph I will be
discussing three characters; Logan/Wolverine, Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast and Anna
Marie/Rogue, Logan and Hank have excellent chemistry in this episode, I am
hoping this element gets used a lot in this TV series and for Logan and Anna
Marie, this is a small piece in this episode, but in fairness it tells the
audience a lot about their relationship as people/characters.
Action sequences: yes in a nutshell these elements are
very good, like for me where the heavily armoured helicopter/chopper or I think it is a
helicopter/chopper lands.
This episode receives: 8/10, this episode does a lot in one
episode and it doesn't skip over things [yes I am aware that a one year time
jump is a skip,] but let's put that to one side for a moment and say other than
that this episode has a strong identity to it.
