Hitchcock 2012 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film is excellent.
Time jump/Fundamental core: now to be honest with you the time jump
element happens once I do believe the reason why I am bringing it up is because
it happens at the beginning of this project. The fundamental core for the rest
of this title moves really well, it just knows what it is doing and it gets on
with it without any problems.
Cast: all of these performers in one way or another bring this project to
life, Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock and Helen Mirren as Alma Reville,
these two characters are individually strong people, Alfred is shown to be
slightly intimidating from the perspective of quiet yet when he speaks he is
clear and direct in what he is saying. Whilst Alma is a strong woman and this
can be shown in many ways throughout this film, to use a saying "Behind a
good man is a strong woman" and in this case this saying is very true, as
the viewers will sense that Alfred maybe slightly intimidating to everyone
else, but with Alma he doesn't know how to be intimidating with her. Because
Alma will just give it back to him and more as she talks to him in a direct
manner [in a nutshell she supports him, she looks after him and many other
things,] there is excellent chemistry between Hopkins and Mirren.
Comical elements: now and again there are some comical
elements such as when the audience sees Hitchcock reacting to these screens as
his film is on at the cinema [he is standing in the lobby moving his arms to
the music and the screams,] he is next to a door but outside of the cinema
screen which is showing his film.
Hitchcock talks: now I think this happens once at the beginning of
the film and again once towards the closing stages, he talks [standing in front
of the camera] as if someone maybe listening to what he is saying, this was a
good touch to this project.
This film receives: 90% approval, once again this film is
excellent.
