He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 83 -- 85 [Volume 7] Episode 42:
Double Edged Sword by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: generally speaking this episode is good, but
having said that as you will see it has its problems as well.
Boy character/his flying friend/Orko: these
elements to this episode are incredibly annoying [in a nutshell it is
everything that these characters do throughout this episode which I have
already said annoys me so much, as long as they are on screen this episode's
percentage of approval goes down.]
Mer-Man and Trap Jaw: I thought I would never say this; but
I was so happy to see these two characters in this episode, between them
including He-Man and Battle Cat, they rescue this episode and make it
interesting with some dialogue exchanges between [Mer-Man and Trap Jaw] or some
good riding sequences with [He-Man and Battle Cat.]
Action sequences: Trap Jaw's
hand/claw/grabber accessory is something good yet different to see [yes
absolutely the audience gets to see combat as well,] but when this accessory is
being used you can see Trap Jaw, trying to quickly grab this item and I have to
say he has a very long hand/claw/grabber in this sequence [I think he uses
it twice in this episode.]
Ending message: in a nutshell, I think what they were trying to say
is this; fighting hurts and some people even get killed.
This episode receives: 60% approval, now to be fair with
taking everything into consideration I think this percentage is just about
right, yes this episode has some downsides but it also has some upsides such as
very good artistic visions, some enjoyable characters and many other bits and
pieces.
