It is the 10th annual Hunger Games: briefly; interest in these games is getting less and
less; that is until Coriolanus "Coryo" Snow/other names [Younger:
Dexter Sol Ansell/Young Man: Tom Blyth/Older Man: Donald Sutherland; voice-over
only just for or around the first ending credits, just to cover my back he is
not on the casting list before someone points it out but I know his voice:] for
those people that know he comes from disgraced family name, but for the rest he
is able to keep up this facade this. He captures them the attention of Dr.
Volumnia Gaul [Viola Davis:] she is the head gamemaker for The Hunger Games;
she comes across as a very intelligent person, with pinch of madness about her,
but either way she is a very intimidating individual. But she is interested to
hear what Snow revolutionise The Hunger Games including but not limited to a
mentor to be paired up with a tribute from the Districts; in fact he will be
one to Lucy Gray Baird [Rachel Zegler:] she is a tribute from District 12 and
has a southern accent, that can sing and play instruments in a band.
Generally speaking: the framework; the outlay is set down to a theatre
production where we have three parts and for one example; we have because I
couldn't get the first part down; The Prize: Part II. The framework and pacing
generally is this film is incredibly long like 157 minutes and yes there are
some occasions where you will think "That was a lot of nothing" and
if you have ever seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 2010 [you
know what I mean with the walking around and tent sequences;] we are talking to
that kind of level. But luckily enough we have two outstanding performances one
main character/performer in Coriolanus "Coryo" Snow/other names [Tom
Blyth:] where they used the outlay of basically Anakin Skywalker into Darth
Vader in the second/prequel trilogy of the Star Wars franchise between Star
Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of
the Clones 2002 and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith 2005. Where
back to this film Snow is trying to split his loyalties between his family, The
Capitol and Baird; if I was Sutherland I would be absolutely delighted; because
Blyth begins the complexities of this character and performs it beautifully for
much later in life for Sutherland interpretation to link perfectly [yes
obviously I know Sutherland's version comes first, but instead of trying to
confuse myself/make it complicated reading I was thinking I would just go
forward in time; something easy and straightforward.] The supporting role which
regardless of if she on-screen or not from time to time, because of her
character developments, stage presence and all-round larger-than-life
performance as Dr. Volumnia Gaul [Viola Davis:] let's just say whenever she is
on screen her presence is impactful and their back-and-forth have real
substance inand it would be nice to think that at the very least they would get
some positive award nominees before it is all said and done.
Character
developments and performances; other than the previous two I spoken about the
rest of the character developments and the performances are generalising solid
versions of what they are meant to be and the performances reflect that. It
feels like I am forgetting someone; Oh yes Lucy Gray Baird [Rachel Zegler:] as
this character; she comes over as a teenager from the grunge era [but people
like myself and people from different music era's will understand this; she may
be acting that way but she has no concept of that era, so it comes off as a
cliche.] Yes she can sing, but her southern accent is all over the place; it
begins release strongly and to cover my back so I don't have to pick spots you
will notice differences. Actually I am now sitting here thinking; what is/was
the point of her being in this prequel? I mean as I have already said yes she
can sing and?
Art/Action;
they really did pull out all the stops to bring this world to live from the set
designs, wardrobe and action; if you're wondering about the action all I can
say is watch out for the snakes and individually the birds.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; to finish off if you're
wondering how I came to this mark just keep in mind the positives I have put in
this content at one point or another and it did seem a little bit harsh to give
anything less. Yes this film does have some awards accredited; 2 Winners Media
Access Awards 2022 Christopher Reeve Acting Scholarship Sofia Sanchez [as
Wovey: she is a tribute from District 8] and Hollywood Music In Media Awards
(HMMA) 2023 HMMA Award Best Original Song - Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film Dan Nigro
