Pay-Per-View Rewind of: NWA/WCW Starrcade '83: A Flare for the Gold 24/11/1983 Match 2/Part 2 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/blood warning

Match/Stipulation: Johnny Weaver & Scott McGhee vs. "Boston Battler" Kevin Sullivan & Mark Lewin [with "Playboy" Gary Hart:] Tag Team Match

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 7/10

Match Storyline: 7/10

Crowd Participation: 10/10

On Commentary: Bob Caudle & Gordon Solie 6/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 7/10

Recommend Watch: 7/10

Match Total: 44/60 - this match is good.

Comments: as I have already said this match is good, as you can in its match/match slot it is noticeably better than the previous match/match slot.

The commentary team are solidly good, as in they will do a good job but having said that I am already getting the feeling with just two matches in they are not too far away from making a slipup or something to that effect, like as it relates to this match/match slot; Bob Caudle excerpt " I call him Kevin Hart, I mean Gary Hart" and just in case if you are thinking maybe Kevin is his real first name it isn't I have looked it up it is generally Gary, so I am no idea where Kevin came from.

A cameraman lowers his camera a noticeable again for a second be for we switched to another. Let's get back to the commentary; once again Caudle screws up on commentary, because basically; McGhee makes the tag to his tag team partner, but because he doesn't through the ropes and not over the top of the referee [Sonny Fargo] had to disallow the tag. This is garbage, how about we tell the truth now which is much, much more believable and realistic; yes they make this tag, but Sullivan comes in to the ring just before the tag is made, consequently the referee's attention is obviously drawn to him, so he is out of position to see the tag and every long-term or even short-term fan of wrestling known as " If the referee doesn't see it he/she cannot call it." See I told you the truth is much more better or even back then to be fair and balanced all Caudle had to say was " The referee didn't see the tag because he was busy with Kevin Sullivan."

Basic Result: "Boston Battler" Kevin Sullivan & Mark Lewin [with "Playboy" Gary Hart] pick up the W.

Briefly things to know:

* Bob Caudle & Gordon Solie: fallout of this match

* Barbara Clary: the second member of our interviewing team; talks to some audience members about the Flair vs. the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Race Match later on tonight.

* Tony Schiavone: interviews the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race

* Tom Miller: ring announcer introducing the next match

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Revolution 2022 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Revolution 2022 by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: these matches may be in the wrong order and I am working on getting up-to-date.

Buy-In; HOOK vs. QT Marshall; Singles Match: my pick is HOOK. Marshall will put HOOK over here, HOOK shouldn't really lose until facing someone like Malakai Black; you know someone which has a combat background which with more experience HOOK could be like in the future, so it doesn't harm HOOK to lose to in the near future.

Buy-In; Kris Statlander vs. Leyla Hirsch; Singles Match: my pick is Leyla Hirsch. To further concrete her heel turn and this feud.

Buy-In; House of Black [Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews] vs. Death Triangle [Pac & Penta Oscuro [with Alex Abrahantes] & Erick Redbeard; Six-man Tag Team Match: my pick is House of Black [Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews.] This is a feud progression and my last thing to say here is; please Tony Kahn, sign Eric Redbeard to a AEW contract you just needs find and call AEW home.

Tay Conti vs. Champ Jade Cargill [with "Smart" Mark Sterling;] Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: my pick is Jade Cargill. Now this is relatively early days to say this, but it feels like they are going with the narrative of Cargill being the female version of Goldberg [ but with a more better and reliable move set so that when she gets to her 50s she can still pull off her move set unlike Goldberg.] So to somewhat speed this up when she gets to her 200th [yes I should just say this is an estimation/speculation, but it will need to be something like this] anyway defence she will lose this championship, to a debut [ she is somewhat protected from the loss here; meaning she can go with I was not ready for this opponent or something to that effect] so her record will be 199 and 1, she will lose everything including "Smart" Mark Sterling, which means she will go on a rampage saying "You think I was bad before I am just going to be worse now." Going for the AEW Women's World Championship. But between now and then she will continue building up this championship and the opponents she faces.

Keith Lee vs. Wardlow [with Shawn Spears] vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. the FTW Champion Ricky Starks vs. Orange Cassidy [Trent Beretta] vs. Christian Cage; Face of the Revolution Ladder Match for a future AEW TNT Championship Match: my pick is Keith Lee. I really, I really wanted to say Wardlow, because I think we are getting to the stage of his development where he is like Keith Lee in the sense of money as in you can book him and he can and will consistently perform in these big matches. But I chose Keith Lee because of what little I saw of him in the other wrestling promotion [WWE,] you can offer him big money because he is and he will make AEW [Tony Kahn] money and Lee just needs to be sling shot into a Championship programme

reDRagon [Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly with Brandon Cutler] vs. The Young Bucks [Matt & Nick Jackson] vs. Camps Jurassic Express [Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus with Christian Cage;] Three-way Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: my pick is Jurassic Express [Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus with Christian Cage.] Simply put it just feels too soon to have a change of champion's here and furthermore The Young Bucks [Matt & Nick Jackson] are here to take the pin-fall to preserve the other two tag teams and their match for these Championships down the line which at that point we will have new AEW World Tag Team Champions [I will discuss this more later on.]

A.H.F.O. [Andrade El Idolo with José the Assistant, Matt Hardy & Isiah Kassidy with Marq Quen] vs. The AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, Sting & Darby Allin; Six-man Tornado Tag Team Match: my pick is the AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, Sting & Darby Allin. But let's be honest the heels here could do with picking up the W. just based on every time I see them they lose, unless they are going with the narrative which this is just based on speculation that Matt Hardy gets kicked out of A.H.F.O. Because of this and to save him from getting a pounding from his ex-faction/stable here comes a debut at this pay-per-view Jeff Hardy his brother.

Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston Singles Match: my pick is Eddie Kingston. I have a feeling that this is a match design or it will be a match design put over Kingston with the assistance from with Pride & Powerful [Santana & Ortiz,] but Jack Hager will come down to chase off this trio, I'm not saying this trio will turn heel, but there is nothing wrong with giving Kingston in little assistance when the referee isn't looking so it may come off as a little trip or something.

Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley; Singles Match: my pick is Bryan Danielson likewise again because I haven't watched the more recent up-to-date content here, with this result if it goes this way they can go with the narrative of "I beat you Moxley, because you were not focused, I can focus you, if you were to team up with me." So Moxley can be somewhat protected by this loss here and they can move on with this narrative.

Thunder Rosa [with Mercedes Martinez] vs. Champ Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D [Rebel & Jamie Hayter;] Singles Match for the AEW Women's Championship: my pick is Thunder Rosa. But however I don't expect the AEW Women's Championship to go anywhere, I expect things to go wrong between the Heels where they either get caught doing heel tactics or things between Hayter and Mercedes Martinez boil over either way Rosa picks up the W. But Baker is still Champ.

CM Punk vs. MJF; Dog Collar Match: my pick is MJF. Due to Wardlow interference, then after this match on AEW programming Punk brings up many valid points when talking to Wardlow, in short you don't need MJF you are your own demolishing enterprise, then at some point down the line we get Punk vs. MJF for the third time, with probably the added stipulation of if CM Punk loses he must leave AEW, but when or if this match takes place, here comes Wardlow down to the ring, stops stands and watches and then turned around and walks up the ramp [something to that effect] where Punk picks up the W. And taking two minutes to think about it the perfect place would be at the next AEW pay-per-view, pay-per-view; AEW Double or Nothing 2022 [Sunday 29/05/2022] because it is a gambling theme pay-per-view.

Adam Cole vs. Champ "Hangman" Adam Page; Singles Match for the AEW World Championship: my pick is "Hangman" Adam Page. My spider sense is tingling here. Now to somewhat speed this up I expect again that everyone connected to Cole minus Baker is going to come down to the ring to ensure he is the new Champ. But the lights go out we hear this ominous creepy intro music the lights come up, in the confusion Paige quickly pins Cole [so he is somewhat protected by the loss] Paige quickly gets out of there. But even before anyone gives chase the lights go out again, we hear this creepy intro music and the lights go on and this individual is standing behind Cole, it is either going to be the character formerly known as Bray Wyatt or Killer Kross, I would prefer Bray Wyatt, now we have Redbeard at this event, it would be roof raising to have his other brother in arms make his AEW debut here as well in formerly known as Bray Wyatt or them together would be the loudest pop of the night, but either Kross or Wyatt would be worthy of this style of debut [I should very quickly point out this is speculation on my part,] but I continue Cole turns around and quickly runs for cover with his associates.

On AEW programming I suspect that they will go with The Elite having internal issues, I know they were having issues anyway as it relates to Adam Cole and him being basically in the middle of things, but because of Sunday 06/03/2022 going so badly for them, this may force things to resurface or bring things to a head. I mean having taken two seconds to think about this I can see Cole interfering in this Tag Team Championships Match and because of his indecisiveness of which team is he going to help and potentially give these Championships to, because if he helps one obviously he will hinder the other, so because he takes too long one of the Champions come in the back door and roll up one of the Jackson brothers.

Including the buy-in this pay-per-view is stacked from top to bottom of must-see matches, as things are either progressed or the landscape changes a bit as it opens the door for progressive or new TV programming content, maybe the WWE can look at this and learn something. Because as things stand WrestleMania 38/2022 isn't looking that great or even consistently good at this point.I mean after This year's WrestleMania we will either have Roman reigns or Brock Lesnar unifying both the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship and either outcome does not, no really, really well and truly doesn't appeal to me whatsoever, because this is a AEW predictions I will leave it there as it relates to the WWE, but I have made my point nonetheless.

Stealth 2005 by AverageMansReviews

Stealth 2005 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there are flashing effects/colourful effects/medical/stabbing/electrocution/suicide

I don't want to spend too long on this review, because this film is garbage: so we have this US Navy pilots unit consisting of Lt. Ben Gannon, US Navy pilot [Josh Lucas,] Kara Wade, 2nd US Navy pilot [Jessica Biel] and Henry Purcell, 3rd US Navy pilot [Jamie Foxx] that all take part in this F/A-37 program. Involving EDI [Extreme Deep Invader] which is an FA-37 Talon with artificial intelligence [voiced by Wentworth Miller,] but he goes haywire.

The pacing for this 121 minutes film is okay, I don't think the pacing is the major problem here granted it is one of those that do its job without much fuss. But the storyline is generic and why send these trio of US Navy pilots off for some R&R [Relaxing and Recuperation] to Thailand when they have just got working on this program. I know there is a dialogue exchange between Lt. Ben Gannon and  Capt. George Cummings [Sam Shepard,] he is the leader and founder of the F/A-37 program and furthermore I know and acknowledge that there are positive scenery and so on here and a character development conversation between Lt. Ben Gannon and Henry Purcell as it relates to Kara Wade and there is another moment of tension between these two characters whilst we are in this country. But my point being other than the good-looking scenery and these character developments, I would have either shrunk this section of the film down or just not bothered doing and just filtered these character developments throughout the film to it to give this film a get up and go to it or at the very least make this film shorter. Don't get me wrong this scenery looks good, but this film has other scenes or sequences that could have compensated for the loss of this section; such as one example; we have Lt. Ben Gannon in his FA-37 Talon dropping a piece of his arsenal/missile into this river so the explosion creates this shower for EDI to go through and put out this highly threatening operating systems/life fire out this looks imaginative.

The performances are reliably solid; you know they aren't the worst but no Oscar winners here either.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; I mean I know I have pointed out some positives but the negatives very much outweigh the positives here, I found it to be depressing as well, yet somehow this project has some nominations credited to its name; BET Awards 2006; BET Award; Best Actor Jamie Foxx For Miami Vice [I know this is to do with a different film and if you ever wondered why I do this; it is because it is under this title and I don't want someone at some point, to come back to me and say you haven't mentioned this you are misleading, so I sometimes put this in to keep the peace.] Golden Trailer Awards 2005; Golden Trailer; Summer 2005 Blockbuster, so what do I know.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 117: Beauty and the Beast by AverageMansReviews

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 117: Beauty and the Beast by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing effects/other effects/transformation

On a hasty retreat from Moragore: Action, Character [Character developments,] Art and Comedy these all combined in one way or another; now we have Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man and Whiplash attempting to make a hasty retreat in the Collector back to Snake Mountain. Skeletor is sitting in his captain's chair in this ship as he with the look of absolute fear on his face with him banging his fists on the arms of his captain's chair saying "You fools get us out of here" to Beast Man; excellent small piece of comedy with Skeletor's eye socket looking wide and his fists as I have already said banging on his captain's chair this moment very much sums up how he doesn't want to be here anymore and be confronted by Prince Adam/He-Man again.

But don't worry Skeletor and his disciples will not face Prince Adam/He-Man and his friends again this day as Skeletor and his disciples make a quick getaway in these cryonic freeze capsules, because in a nutshell Prince Adam/He-Man held down the Collector until it ran out of fuel.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; as you can see from the mark of this episode, it is a reliably good episode.

The New Neighbor 1953 by AverageMansReviews

The New Neighbor 1953 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there are flashing effects/colourful effects

This match is heard around news outlets: on one side of the fence we have Pete [voiced by Billy Bletcher] with his big dog Muncey [voiced by Pinto Colvig] as they have a new neighbour moving in next door Donald Duck [voiced by Clarence Nash] and this short film has Narrator and breaking-the-fourth-wall talking to Donald Duck [voiced by Alan Reed.]

Because this project is roughly only 7 minutes long, the pacing is free-flowing and likewise with the art is easy to settle down with. Now if you don't know anything about these two characters in Pete and Donald individually or in this case together they are notoriously known for being short tempered and antagonistic either knowingly or unknowingly, as you will see if you give Pete a pinch of kindness he will empty out your or Donald's fridge.

Sooner or later things will come to a head like two stags butting heads; so in a nutshell Pete's first attack is to cut a branch off this tree due to it violating the property line, so in retaliation Donald cuts Pete's pyjama bottoms which are blowing in the wind on his washing apparatus [it isn't the standard washing line that is all I am trying to say here] yes this apparatus is on his property, but the pyjama bottoms are violating the property line because they are blowing over the property line so Donald cuts them and finally excellent voice performances

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; this project may be a short but it has so much happening in it, the only shame about this project is that it has no awards credited to its name whatsoever and for it highly engaging art and imagination as it relates to its content you would have thought they would have been at least been a nominee for a category somewhere at some awards event/ceremony at some point down the line, I mean it is very unlikely to now, but as long as the earth is still spinning on it access, there is always time.

Downton Abbey 2019 by AverageMansReviews

Downton Abbey 2019 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is a homophobic element in this film

The King and Queen are coming to Downton Abbey: straight off the bat I haven't seen the TV program which is connected to this film and its sequel which I will make reference to later. But moving on now generally speaking I have just basically told you the storyline of this film in a nutshell, the pacing is something from beginning to end knows what it is doing and sticks to that, even though I have just said this; it does feel like this film does go on a bit too long, I mean don't get me wrong roughly speaking we are only talking about 122 minutes which by today's standards is the standard more or less. I have seen a trailer for the sequel Downton Abbey: A New Era 2022 which based on the trailer looks and feels more full as it relates to things going on [just to cover my back I could be completely wrong about this.] But maybe as it relates to this film here and now it has things happening in it, but more of it would have sorted this out which in the interest of fairness and balance they could have potentially fixed this in the sequel.

This is one of those films/reviews I don't have too much to say, because the landscapes, scenery and costumes look neat and tidy. The character developments and performances are all good, this is very much a cast performance, but now for some special mentions, the first one has to go out to Maggie Smith as Violet Crawley; because she is of advancing years, she is on one hand wise and knowledgeable, but on the other hand she can and does freely say what she wants when she wants, which provides this project a comical factor now and again [you know; she could say something at any time but not every time.] Which leaves the rest of her family having to politely correct her to a fashion, because as I have already referenced she is at the time of life where her late 1920s filter is at best questionable. The second special mention has to go out to Penelope Wilton as Isobel Merton [Violet Crawley's friend] she is an anchor or tries to be in this friendship, she is also intelligent in her own right to work things out.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; it is a pleasant little drama film that you could put on; on a quiet Sunday afternoon. This film also has awards credited to its name; Winners; 3 for an example German Film- and Media Review [Deutsche Film- und Medienbewertung] 2019; Jury Prize Seal of Approval: "Recommended." Nominees; 17 for an example AARP Movies for Grownups Awards 2020; Movies for Grownups Award; Best Supporting Actress Maggie Smith.
