Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/cutting/burning/torture/drugs/ritual/medical

This film is a complete waste of time: briefly; we meet Lieutenant William Bligh [Anthony Hopkins:] he is in the Lieutenant, but captain of this ship called The Bounty, he has been called to this place, because he has been court marshalled for losing this ship and this is his story of events.

Generally speaking: pretty much everything about this film is insufferable; the storyline/script is incredibly thin to the point where it may as well have been see-through; they just isn't enough meaty substance here, which trust me when I say you will feel every second of roughly speaking 132 minutes of this film, in conjunction with this we have the outlay of storyteller/narrator From our Lieutenant, but we have more we have in the monologue from our Lieutenant and another character at some points in this movie; which also in turn has one particular speed throughout which is  slow and steady; with as you can probably guess, can become incredible tiresome and frustrating come on because you are like thinking; when is this film going to spark into life and for about a grand total of at best 96% of the time it just doesn't;  for very short moments in time/ sequences it may flirt with the idea of showing signs of life but it doesn't last long.

Art and action; yes usually like 99.9% of the time I would say something to the effect of the landscape and so on and so forth including the costumes and so on are indeed an asset, but because of everything about this film irritates me in one way or another, the visual reputations after some time also become stale and whatever action sequence or/and elements we do have are few involved between And at best they do a solid job.

Character development, performance and voice performances; The character development served their purpose, so on reflection it does look and feel like these performance and voices performances; were very much left to carry this project as best they can on these circumstances and this is the worst I have ever seen someone waste their assembled cast of performance; Anthony Hopkins as Lieutenant William Bligh, Mel Gibson as Master's Mate Fletcher Christian; good friend to the lieutenant, Daniel Day-Lewis as Sailing Master John Fryer; highly experienced officer and semen, Bernard Hill as William Cole; experience member of the crew, Liam Neeson as Seaman Charles Churchill; another experienced member of the crew, but  doesn't take things likely and Neil Morrissey as Seaman Matthew Quintal; he is a young member of the crew; Basically what we have here is a film that waste much time as these performers tried to make this film work and to be fair to them, they can all walk away from this project with  their heads held high and consequently the voice performance is our at least solidly good.

This film receives:2/10, this is poor; this was a complete waste of Talented cast and because this film goes on for a long time including feeling like a long time as well,  I wanted a   much better ending than what this film actually  has but then again it has 2 Accredited nominees to its name, so what do I know? British Society of Cinematographers1984 Best Cinematography Award Arthur Ibbetson and Cannes Film Festival 1984 Palme d'Or Roger Donaldson
