Unknown to them this job comes from high above in 1971: briefly; Terry Leather [Jason Statham:] gets given this opportunity for a very lucrative bank robbery from someone in his past  Martine Love [Saffron Burrows:] which she herself is in a bit of bother with the wrong kind of people; Leather puts a team together.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script, exposition character developments and the framework are all good, but the pacing of this 102 minutes film is very much a slow burner to begin with, but after some time like on the job, this movie does gather consistent and positive pacing throughout the rest of the movie

Art, action, character development and consequently comedy; the artistic outlay/vision for this movie is as you may have gathered from the early 70s, so they're done a really good job of bringing this time period back to life again, what with the set designs/location designs, wardrobe and accessories and not forgetting the 1970s hairstyles, for the action; with all things considered we have a better idea of action sequences ranging from the bank robbery to torture and deals, with this character types following their specific outlays which includes but not limited to being slightly, just ever so slightly stupid when it comes to using their real first names over the walkie-talkies.

Character developments and performances; as I have already alluded to good versions of what they are meant to be coinciding with likewise good performances throughout the cast, but on reflection it does need someone to be the spearhead for this title and that is where Statham comes in, without him being the driving force this film would have lost its edge; you will see some horrific elements do not done by our character/role, but you need someone to push back with British grit and he more than filled that lead role type/lead role so based on this I have decided to award another mark.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; yes it just takes some time to warm up, but after everything is said and done; it does reflect this marking; this film does have some awards accredited to its name such as 3 Nominees which include but not limited to Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 2009 Saturn Award Best International Film
